  1. A long, long time ago I started working on a micro scale Millennium Falcon. To begin with all I wanted to do was add detail to the Microfighter but I kept tinkering and before I knew it I had a growing collection of micro Star Wars freighters and fighters, and here they are! Instructions for all these little builds are on my Rebrickable page. Since this all started with that Falcon Microfighter the cockpit piece (a light blueish-grey 2x2 truncated cone) became my yardstick for scale. Luckily trans-black 1x1 slope pieces work as fighter cockpits at the same scale so all the ships are, and will continue to be, as close to scale with each other as I can manage, at least based on these pieces and whatever reference images I can gather from Google. My Blockade Runner (April 2021) is the last ship on my micro Star Wars to-do list, although it’s hardly micro! The size and weight were a new challenge for me, I’ve never had to worry about a moc falling apart under its own weight before, but I enjoyed the challenge and managed to make it pretty easy to pick strong. I’ve put together instructions for the Tantive IV as well as the Liberator from Star Wars Rebels, which I couldn’t resist building for myself. Rather than doing new posts for each new ship I’ll edit the very long post below. All the instructions are on my Rebrickable page and there are photos and Studio renders some photos of the ships in this post, plus a few more on Flickr and Instagram. Thanks for looking!

    [MOC] Project: Endor

Guys, Some of you may remember my AT-AT model, some of you may know my Lambda shuttle and some of you may even have heard these were crucial parts of my crazy idea called Project:Endor. Well, it's done. Thirteen years ago I started working on a virtual LEGO model of the Imperial Shuttle. It took me 6 months. Then I spent another year building it with real bricks. And when it was completed, I heard - from LEGO designer Adam Grabowski, whom some of you may know as Misterzumbi - that maybe I could build a small scene for that model. Well, I took the idea to my heart - as you can see today ;) . As time went by, my shuttle became set 10212, over 1 meter tall trees grew up one by one and the platform slowly took shape. Ultimately, "the small scene" became some 200 kg of bricks, set upon 48 baseplates. I have no idea how many bricks are in it. Fortunately, neither has my Wife ;) . I won't bore you with minutiae - if you have any questions (about electric functions, details or anything else), just shoot. In this gallery you can find a photographic history of Project: Endor - pics of the finished project can be found, of course, at the very end. In time, there will be more of them; they just need editing. Also, I'm slowly working on a movie presentation but that will take quite a while, since some of the mechanisms were damaged during recent exhibition. Have a good time watching the pics and please, feel free to leave comments if you wish. 072 - Seriously happy by Maciej Szymański, on Flickr 077 - Endor by night by Maciej Szymański, on Flickr

    MOC: Imperial Shuttle

This is my upscale Imperial Shuttle, not quite mini figure scale, but close. I have finally built it after my original UCS set was in many pieces, something i regret not finishing as i was going through my "lego dark age" when i received it. The shuttle can fit one figure in the head and around 6 in the main body. The ramp extends down and has enough headspace for a mini figure to stand under it. The landing gear is retractable, and can also be mounted on a stand. The only issue with this design is that i underestimated the strength of the gear system. The wings are heavier then expected, thus the gear box can't lower and raise the wings with out carful assistance. It is strong enough to hold the wings in place, however. Perhaps when i feel brave in the future i will modify it and add an extra 2 gear boxes to strengthen it. More photos on my Flickr.

    [MOC] UCS Imperial Shuttle

This is my take on a minifig-scale UCS scale Imperial Shuttle from Return of the Jedi. Since I wasn't sure where to start, the worm gear mechanism is loosely based on the official set. However, the rest is a mix of my design with subtle cues taken from Marshal Banana's MOC and 10212. It features gear-driven wings, detachable landing gear, poseable weapons, and an opening canopy with room for 4 minifigs.
  5. I designed this microfighter plus-scale Lambda T-4A class Imperial Shuttle for an upcoming Star Wars event and I thought I would share it with the Lego Star Wars community. You can download the Lego Digital Designer file via my site link here: https://humblebricks.com/star-wars/. Features hinged wings, fully retractable landing gears and an open cockpit seat for one pilot (as a customary microfighter feature). You can download that LDD file via the link listed above, and below is what it looks like (a render image for now). 6. Hello guys, I have finished now the Imperial Shuttle I started already a while ago: Now all of the functions actually work, and the details of the ship have been finished so that everything should look as smooth as possible. The work was pretty hard balance between accurate looks, working functions and durability, and I am now quite happy with the result. ^^ Here is a video showing the functions that include: - 2 x lasercannons - 2 x missiles - Backcannon All of the cannons are launched by pressing different buttons at the bottom of the ship. The mechanisms behind this are rather complicated and they are based on the use of fishing wire that delivers the force to the right place. - Wings automatically turn the landing gear open and close. Also, the white covering plates of the landing gear open and close automatically. The wingcannons also turn up and down automatically, though on the video they are a little jammed. - Boarding ramp and an opening and accessible hatch. - Removable walls, wall and cockpit canopy. - Cockpit seats 4 minifigures, the interior has 2 seats, but can accomodate a platoon of up to 8+ minifigures or even more, if you don't care about comfort. - Samppu

Rogue One -- Leaked Images of New Sets

Found images of the new Rogue One sets coming out later this year. Super excited. Really excited for the Imperial Hover Tank, the new AT-ST (FINALLY!!!!), and the TIE Striker.
  8. IMHO, the Imperial Shuttle is one of the best spaceships in the OT (what makes it one of the best of SW in general), and UCS is its ULTIMATE recreation of it. I start with this stash (bricklinked before for MOCs): 5x White Slope 55 6 x 1 x 5 6x White Slope 75 2 x 1 x 3 And I have ordered 1141 pieces, for 85€ (shipping included). My main objetive is to get the ship under 0,10c/p. I'm open (and really really needy ) to advices.

Happy holidays everyone. Don't be stingy... don't be a Scrooge or a Grinch. And definitely don't be a Darth Vader! http://mocpages.com/moc.php/422811

    [WIP] Imperial Shuttle

Hello, there are two periods in Star Wars timeline that I am most interested in. The other one is the end of the clone wars and the other the time related to Grand Admiral Thrawn. For this latter I have been building an Imperial Shuttle, so here you go: [MOC] Imperial Shuttle Features: - Opening wings and retractable landing gear. They are actually synchronized, so when you open the wings, the landing gears will automatically pull in, or when you close the wings, the landing gears will automatically push out. - Two fiber-wired missiles with a range up to some 2-3 meters. They are under the floor, and they fire when you open their ports next to main turbolaser cannons. I will actually replace them with spring-shooters, because they are very difficult to reload as the shuttle weights pretty much. - Two spring-shooters behind the wing cannons, one at each. These ones are not present in the following pictures as I am making an important upgrade to them. Before they were launched under the wings that was again somewhat circus due to the weight. Now I make a button on the top of the wings, so that they would be much easier to launch. - Opening boarding ramp that is tall enough for a minifigure to walk in and out. - Fully decorated interior and cocpit. - Controllable twin laser cannon at the back of the ship that you can move from the inside of the shuttle. Control panels and viewport is inside the shuttle and a minifigure can actually be played to use this cannon. However, it does not shoot anything. - Cocpit walls can be easily removed so that you can play and access the seats. Also the main fin can be easily removed in order to access the other parts of the interior. This is still in the WIP-stage, because I will still make some modifications on the parts mentioned above. Also the wings have been built up in a great hurry for a Lego-Show, so I will try to make them more studless and symmetric. -Samppu

    [WIP] Imperial Shuttle

A little while back, I was working on modding 7166-1 in LDD, which led me to build a new cockpit, which I posted here. Since then, I decided I should make a new body for the shuttle, as the original started to look bad with the new cockpit on it. The project as a whole is a little further along than in the pictures, with custom wings already built, but I thought that some input would be helpful. A few shortcomings that I have encountered so far are that there will likely be no room for any figs, which is a let down. A prime example of why I decided to post here. besides that, the whole building style is very odd, and may not hold up in real life, as there is no physics in LDD. At this point in the build, I'm kinda stuck. Studying the build will be my main priority for now. Until then, here are the pictures! I would add the LDD file, but it is too big for this sites uploader. Any help on that? Front view, showing off the cockpit and the body. The wings aren't attached for now, but will be soon. 3/4 shot, showing off the rest of the body. The top fin area comes straight off the TLG version, but could change in the future. Lastly, the back. I haven't decided what to do about it yet, as I'm not sure of the playability of the model. I may end up adding a door, or just sealing it off. Any C&C welcome, as well as suggestions on how to improve the model.

    [WIP] New Shuttle Cockpit

Recently I've been working on modding a 7166-1 Imperial shuttle, and I decided that I should make a new cockpit. The current one is a little unfaithful, so I took a crack at it. The cockpit should be quite small and thin, which I tried to encompass in my new cockpit. Any suggestions and comments are welcome. If anyone wants, here is the current LFX file:Imperial shuttle mods 2.lxf One problem is there will probably not be room for any figs, but it would look better. The underside. Still no floor.
  13. [Review] 30246: Imperial Shuttle (mini) Details: Ages 6-12 RRP: N/A Parts: 59 Introduction: There are lots of disadvantages about living in the UK; the climate, the weather, winter and endless congestion to name just a few, but just occasionally it’s all worthwhile. For some reason we seem to get a free Lego promotion a couple of times a year via one of the national newspapers. And yes, you’ve guessed it, this week we have another selection including the new Imperial Shuttle. To be honest, it’s never going to be a UCS 10212, but for 60p (the cost of the paper) I’m really quite impressed. So what do you get for such a reasonable investment, read on and find out.... The bag: Standard size polybag, showing the Shuttle in it’s glory, which is actually quite similar to the UCS version thinking about it! The landing platform and dish were the only highlights of Endor for me, but moving on... Part selection: A total of 57 (ish) including two spares. Nothing that amazing, but a nice mix of useful parts. Instructions: Standard format for polybags, it’s a bit smaller than A4 and double-sided. The model is built in 13 separate sections and is quite fun considering the small size, a maximum of 5 minutes effort. I’ve included both sides just incase you wanted to replicate it via your parts bin. The result: Bearing in mind this was essentially free (I use the paper for my recycling bin) I can’t fault it. It’s quite an interesting build and is instantly recognisable. The model is quite sturdy, and great fun to swoosh. Highly recommended if you haven’t got the space for a larger version! Summary: Cost: 5/5 – A total bargain Parts: 4/5 – Nothing special but a good selection of different elements Built: 3/5 – Not bad considering the limited size Model: 3/5 – Instantly recognisable, surprisingly detailed Overall 15/20 or 75% if you prefer.
