I created this Futuron theme space lander using pieces available in the 80s and 90s decades. I still don't understand why Lego never gave us something similar to this. The pieces were there, If you enjoy this MOC and want to see more of my stuff, please visit my Facebook group: Lego Space Futuron/Exploriens/SP3 https://www.facebook.com/groups/1421271881962817

You wanted more? Here is my newest project! I'm doing something Lego Group never gave us in a space set. A proper SCI-FI Lander Rocket for planet colonization. The rocket carries deployable equipment to start a new colony in an unexplored new planet, A small rover, an outpost base, four cargo and an orbital communication satellite. All units to ensure the survival of the pioneer astronauts. Let us expand the imagination horizons and create something new rather than spaceships, rovers and bases. To give the new generations the joy we felt with Classic Space. This Moc takes rocket exploration to a new level! If you like this type of space colonization ideas, please give it your support!https://ideas.lego.com/profile/81f08ebb-fae9-4f04-9681-e2d545f1a898/entries?query=&sort=top

This is my Futuron city created using only 90s existing pieces. Why Lego group never made a Futuron base with a Monorail track so you could add it to the 6990 monorail set? If you like this type of designs, please take a look at my White/Black/Trans-Dark Blue group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1421271881962817 Enjoy it!

Something I made a couple of years ago for a microscale set competition. The toughest part was getting the shape of the "domes" correct. Some bits on these pictures aren't connected (as it was for a competition and I didn't have time/nor was it necessary to make everything properly connected). Recently I had some time to fix these little issues and if you're interested in getting the instructions for this moc feel free to contact me at brickster.creations@gmail.com The moc is now quite sturdy but still not swooshable.

Another Classic Space Lego Ideas project. This time is White Classic Space/Futuron Color Scheme. Kappa Notch Complex is a Space Base nestled between mountains, It´s composed of several modules or rooms connected internaly by corridors dug into the rocky mountains around a large rocket silo housing a two stage rocket designed to take a satelite into orbit in new colonizing planets. Lab, telecommunications, control panel, infirmary are among the fuctions of the modular rooms of the base. It also features a vehicle hangar and landing pad among the features of the base. NOTE: I updated the base by adding a Space Police rover and Blacktron speeder. The upgrades will be added to Lego Ideas in a month. Futuron - Retro Space Solar Ship [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, on Flickr ================================== The beginning/Genesis : ================================== At the beginning of September, I re-watched the old animated as X-Bomber at 43 years old ! It was my birthday this month. Don't ask me what went through my mind at the time, I don't know at all! I wanted to go back to childhood, because I have the impression of having aged. I had to straighten "the bar", lol ! Seeing these old Retro solar boats literally “blew my mind”. I never realized that a lot of anime from that era had a "strange spaceship" conception, transforming old 14-18th century ships / galleons with engines for space. Yet it was so obvious! And it was there, that suddenly, I remembered Jayce, Cobra, etc ... In short, I saw all the ships of the anime of that time scroll through my head, like a comet in front of my eyes (which booms crashing into my head). And no one had done this in Lego. At least I don't remember. In itself, the beginning of an idea or impression that smelled good, and / or had potential. It was the very beginning of the inspiration and brainstorming in my head for Lego Classic Space ! ================================== The concept : ================================== I did something unusual, non-conformism, eccentric, disconcerting and crazy at the same time. I make a double combination and double ration, animated 70-90 which it was the fashion of space ships and Lego Space Futurons 87-90. For a good Retro nostalgia I combined elements of the Azuris ship from « Message from space : galactic wars », the Cephalus ship from Star Fleet X-Bomber, Glory of the universe of Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, and the Solaris of the Mysterious cities of Gold ! 2 periods 70-90 in 1! Fashion Geek powa, total ! ================================== Animated Wikipedia source: ================================== https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Message_from_Space:_Galactic_Wars https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Bomber https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jayce_and_the_Wheeled_Warriors https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mysterious_Cities_of_Gold ================================== Youtube animated credits for the nostalgic: ================================== Message from space : galactic wars / San Ku Kai https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3a7kge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfzb7kndOH8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ev846CoLg1c Star Fleet X-bomber: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szZisbEQB_Q Jayce and the wheeled warriors : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9K0SzFIf4A The Mysterious Cities of Gold : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enoK-1CW74Y ================================== I took again in inspiration: ================================== - The front and landing feet of Glory of the Universe. - Sails and propulsion reactors of the Cephalus. - The front spur and the hexagonal solar sail at the top of the Solaris mast. - Part of the sails and the structure of the Azuris. ================================== Remarkable elements, NPU, conversion of parts, techniques : ================================== I converted parts #4346 and #4345, in all directions, with levers, for the machinery. Part #44938 bionicle shield, with a "mechanical" aspect converted into an energy capacitor. Various parts of Droids (starwars) converted in the machinery and on the outer deck. Bionicle Shield #45275 converted into deflectors, on the deck of the ship. Kind of like "Viking ship/longship" shields. Big Trident Bionicle #40339 = excellent for large boat emblems in general. I used a slope technique for the sides of the hull. For the rear canopy in the hull, I used a SNOT technique with part #30249. ================================== Physical information : ================================== - 7,082 parts for 854 lots. - 2 weeks of brainstorming, intellectual reflection or "total blank" ...: passive or empty work. - 3 to 4 weeks of active work. - 60.8 studs width, 101.8 studs length, 78.7 studs height. - 48.7 cm width, 81.5 cm length, 63 cm height. - 5.77 Kg. ================================== Global : ================================== All Futuron figures, including the green Lego City minifigure and the lesser known "Educational & Dacta" minifigures. 9 crew members, 3 teams of 3 watch members. ================================== Exterior/outside: ================================== - Solar sails with 3 intermediate lookouts. They can rotate a bit. - Futuron logo, in stickers, on the sails. - 2 radars at the top of the masts. - Long electromagnetic barrel at the front. - 2 small laser cannon turrets at the front. - 2 large turrets at the rear, pulsed radius. - Wings with stabilizers at the end. - 2 small rotating turrets under the wings. - 4 landing feet. - Various elements of machinery on the deck of the Boat. - 8 deflector shields on the sides (Bionicle shield converted). - 2 large propulsion reactors. - Cockpit. ================================== Wheelhouse: ================================== - 1 captain / watch officer seat. - 1 seat Transmission of orders to machines. - 1 navigation control seat. - 1 communication control seat. - 1 alarm control seat. - Walkie-talkies, fans, fire extinguishers, binoculars, cups, etc. ================================== Interior/inside hull of the ship : ================================== - Small storage room at the front, with a ladder to grab onto the deck of the solar ship. - 6 beds with drawers below. - WC / toilet. - Sonic shower. - Kitchen / Cantina: sink, water, oven, cupboards, cups, bottles of food. - Table, bottles of food. - Machine room: control bar, control panel, turbines, fans, transformer, energy condenser, energy pressurizer, cooling circuit, heat transfer fluid, warning lights, ladder to climb to the cockpit, tool kit, tools behind the ladder. - Rear canopy - SAS by energy barrier. ================================== Conclusion: ================================== I built in a perspective of pseudo-realism, pseudo-likely and pseudo-consistency, with compromises with the Retro concept of the animated ones of the years 70-90's. I wanted something playable and fun at the same time. I had a lot of difficulty and trial and error, because I had never done a Lego boat. I worked several times until 4am ! I often work like this: as long as the inspiration is there, I must not lose it, and I work until I no longer see the time passing. But the opposite has also happened to me several times: several times the symptom of the "blank sheet" for 1 to 3 days, without knowing how I was going to build, find inspiration, think about the logic of the construction, etc. . This feeling of "emptiness", that you feel something is happening, and you have it on the tip of your tongue, but it does not come out! Annoying and horrifying sensation ! :) The inclination of the walls gave me intellectual problems. It took a long time to build the engine room. I had to redo it at least 3-4 times. I wanted a maximum of diversity and complexity at the same time. The confined space of the hull gave me difficulties: how to integrate "likely" elements in so little volume ? I have lost my hair several times. Just those damn shower and toilet, I had to spend 3 hours each, to do, undo and redo in all the sauces. Like a little monkey who tests all combinations. Shouldn't bring me a banana at this time, because I think I would have been screwed to make a monkey cry as a bonus .... lol [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, on Flickr (Zoom on Flick, picture Full-HD 9216 x 4608 pixels) [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, sur Flickr (Zoom on Flick, picture Full-HD 9216 x 6144 pixels) [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, sur Flickr (Zoom on Flick, picture Full-HD 9216 x 4608 pixels) Shiptember 2021 [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, on Flickr ================================== Source / reference on my project (progression in the time) : ================================== https://forum.brickpirate.net/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=25577 https://www.flickr.com/photos/horlack/albums/72157720062770130 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=HorlackBricks&set=a.495422262040159

The CSE contest grabbed my attention, especially after seeing so many creative entries, so I had to try making something for it myself! This Futuron patrol craft measures 36 studs wide, carries a small rover, and seats two crew members. I based the ship around the inverted trans-blue canopies which were not the easiest things to work with at first, but I’m happy I was finally able to use them. Thanks for looking

I realized I have never posted these MOCs here, its almost the 2022 edition of this event on flickr, but here are my rovers of last year: Febrovery 2021 by Ids, on Flickr Individual links of my rovers are over on flickr (I don't feel like posting 28 rovers here ) Link to the album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmUoBGfU Almost all my rovers, except one (number 3 got upgraded to number 22). To be honest I hadn't planned to make a rover every day, especially as most of them were build on the day itself or a day before. And some days I didn't really have inspiration/ideas to build one. But I made it, 28 rovers. :P

A Blacktron spy is being chased by the Space Police inside Alpha-5, a Futuron research outpost. Pursuit on Futuron base Alpha-5 by Ids, on Flickr Always difficult to make something fitting an existing theme, but I like how this part of a Futuron building turned out. And also using my favorite Space Police and Blacktron made this a fun build. Let me know what you think, comments and feedback is always appreciated.

FUTURON - POLARIS EXPRESS Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express de Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express by Horlack, on Flickr "Polaris", in reference to the mythical Set 6972 Polaris-I Space Lab, and "Express", in reference to the Trans-Siberian Orient-Express, in relation to a tracked vehicle of the tundra The inspiration comes mainly from the Russian tracked vehicle Vityaz DT-30, and its little brother the Vityaz DT-10PM, particularly adapted to the tundra and the cold. Multifunction vehicle. It can be converted to Cargo, Passenger, Small Vehicles, Oxygen, etc. There are 6 modular blocks of 5x7 studs, which can be unclipped, can be put in the hold, and can be put in the order you want. Include a mixture. The roof can be unclipped. The 2 types of Vityaz DT have many military or civilian variants. Surely one of the most varied vehicles in the world, however crazy it is. Excavator version, passenger / troop transport version, ballistic missile version, freight transport version, radar station version in arctic base, amphibious version, crossing bridge version, forest transport version, tank version (yes yes, with 2 turrets!), Version snowplow, mobile laboratory version, gas / mining version (currently used by Gazprom), etc. We are on a monster which is not far from being 3 to 4 large cars wide depending on the version. I wanted to stay a little in this “multifunction” spirit for the MOC. Custom radar, with lots of sensors. Cockpit, with an articulated twin-arm / view of the seat. Lights on the roof to illuminate everywhere = in the tundra, at night, in the cold, in the blizzard, in a lunar environment, etc ... Also, I focused on the armored aspect, trying to homogenize the 2x2 tile base on the hull. (or close). I made a maximum of modularity, I could not decide on one type or another of vehicle. So I made it simple and complicated at the same time: all types at the same time, lol! It's better :) I could also have made a command vehicle, with lots of consoles and control panels. It is quite possible, thanks to the available space. There is no limit to the imagination when it comes to converting the vehicle. Make a presentable base. Shall we say, a 1st for me. Especially the effect of the caterpillars in the sand, and the Lettering (which I'm not used to). The roof can be unclipped. All with a playable and accessible aspect. (I remain in the mentality / the spirit that a Lego must be playable, solid, playful, modular)

Hi everyone, This is my latest creation: Futuron Dropship. I wanted to build a dropship and was inspired by several Star Wars cruisers. This dropship can transport an exploration car and droids. The front can be opened and two people are positioned behind the controls. At the back is a ramp, that can be openend (like a plane). The roof can be removed to see the interior. See more pictures in my Flickr album. A few months ago, I've build some speeders for Futuron. One other picture is in the same album I mentioned earlier. Sander

This is the first proper Lego Space scene I have ever constructed. The display is centred around Classic Space, but I've added some later items and parts (mostly acquired second-hand) for interest. I found most of the Classic Space items and figures at an exhibition more than a year ago, but it was Benny's Space Squad that proved the impetus for doing this scene. The background is from a Klutz 'Lego Make Your Own Movie' book/kit. The base plate was a dark grey clone brand (Wilco Blox) plate until I found two slightly worn classic 'moon' plates on sale for just £6 each in a small independent shop. I quickly snapped up both! What do you think? Any comments or questions welcome.

I had a ton of fun on this alt build! It's a redux of the classic 1987 Stardefender 200 from the Futuron series. I used only a single copy of the new Lego Movie 2 set 70849-1: Wyld-Mayhem Star Fighter. Behold the StarryFriender 200: I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I was able to keep the same overall design with a central sloping canopy, dual forward mandible guns, and detachable side pods. Obviously the name is a gag; the set has many "Friends" colors. The pods are about as small as they can be while still fitting a minifig. I don't think I had the pieces to make them any bigger! The rear is a little busy. I decided to use the colorful curvy pieces there for some visual interest. This is a Systar ship after all. I used the small cones as thrusters like the original Stardefender 200. Thanks for looking!

My latest MOC is the Strategic StarHound: This is a Futuron mech based on the old Strategic Pursuer. https://brickset.com/sets/6848-1/Strategic-Pursuer I basically made a bigger version. The arms, legs, and red floodlights (is that what they are?) are all poseable. Hopefully I can add some more pictures later. Hope you all like it.
