Location: F03 - Forring Tags: Science Experiment M.A.N.T.I.S hidden underground facility on Forring. Social testing in controlled envrionment. Big Sal recording... The subject today is Donnie Bricko, M.A.N.T.I.S Engineer level 6 clearance. ID number CLASSIFIED. Begin with subject... Hello Donnie Hello? Where am I? You are currently involved in a M.A.N.T.I.S. social testing experiment. This will be a test, you must answer one question in order to end the simulation. The question: What are you? That is a simple question, I am a M.A.N.T.I.S. Engineer. Yes you are, however that is not the correct answer to the question. You must take in your environment to determine the correct answer. Okay, so it's a riddle...I don't really see anything here except the ground. Am I a lonely Engineer? It is a riddle of sorts. No you are not a lonely Engineer. Let me give you a hint? Wait, what? Are those sticks?..they look like giant chop sticks! Huh? You are clever, how about another quick hint? Um, that's definately giant sushi...yuck! Yes, keep going. Well I'm on a giant plate of sushi, but what am I? Am I dinner? No, no...Think in more simple terms Im on a giant plate but I'm not food...what am I? What the hell am I? Hmm... Well I'm plastic and I'm on a plate. Wait, am I a minifig on a plate?? Yes, you are in fact a minifig on a plate...congratulations the simulation will now end! Wait, Sal...minfing on a plate doesn't usually score well... - D

Location: F03, Forring Tags: MANTIS, Spying Double D's log 38: My mission was simple - get in, copy files onto a computer and get out... We're testing out new computer software that changes SFTP into FTP but make it still look like SFTP to Octan computers. We located a non-critical computer first to see if it properly installs on Octan devices. We'll know if it works by next week. ------------------------------ Yeah, I know, this is a super quick build. Hopefully I'll have some more time in the future for builds, but this weekend was quite busy (though in a good way!). Kudos to those familiar with SFTP and FTP

Location: F03, Forring Tags: MANTIS, Land Vehicle, Military Double D's Log 37: So since I've been around a while, some of MANTIS corp. wanted me to look at some new experimental vehicles. There were lots of excellent ones, but one in particular stood out to me. It looked liked an ancient battle wheel or something. Sure it could truck through just about anything, but its defenses were disgraceful. Any hover bike could zoom around it and immobilize the thing. Anyway, I gave it a grade of E (in the A-F scale). ~ DD out ----------------------------------------- So yeah, I'm not exactly happy with this, I had something cooler in mind, but I didn't have the time to do it. The wheels turned out pretty cool, and it's amusing to roll around and shoot at things, but it just doesn't look that good to be honest. Still, I had fun with the time I was able to spend on it, and that's all that counts right?

Location: F03, Forring Tags: MANTIS, Spying, Military Building Double D's log 36: This week I'm on Forring, and I've been sent to gather more information about Octan (who else ) and their new chemistry experiments on accelerated plant growth. Little John was able to recover some information from his mission on E02. Unfortunately, Octan started to keep a higher profile about these plant experiments and what chemicals were being used, so more stealthy methods were required. That and the fact that Big Sal used up all of the samples John collected (maybe that's why his beard grew so much?). The chemicals in use aren't too dangerous because they are pushed around in open carts. I've yet to locate where these chemicals are being tested, but If I can follow this guy I hope to find that out. ~DD out

Location: F03 Forring Tags: MANTIS, spying, land vehicle Double D's log 29: Well, the first few spying school lectures were as boring as Professor Bland's monotone speech. The only thing good that came out of it so far was the opportunity to test out some more new vehicles! I called first dibs Unfortunately we aren't up to the big stuff yet, and I was assigned to go with a hover vehicle. I picked the fastest one. The tank was sort of like a tank, but it had less armor and a lot more speed. It's great for just running through some outdoor facility and blowing up a bunch of random equipment. Okay, it doesn't really explode stuff, because this weapon melts away (by this green fire stuff) what it hits because it fires a gooey substance with laser-cannon accuracy. Overall it takes longer to destroy something, but it does more damage because the goo seeps deep into the equipment. I was lucky enough to be sent on a real mission on Forring. The Lazer-Goo Hover Tank did its job well! Why it's spelled with a 'Z' is because it's not a real laser, so they went with the z when making the name. ~DD out

Location: F03 Forring Tags: MANTIS, spying Double D's log 28: I've been sent to Forring again, but this time to head inside a few of Octan's buildings to see if I could gather any information from their computers. Getting in was easy enough with Wheelie, my trusty robot. Once inside, I found an employee's computer that was still on, and from there I was able to find out Octan's next few planet targets...I downloaded the information to my device and zoomed out of there on the dragster that I tested out last week. ~ DD out

Location: F03 - Forring Tags: Vehicle, Spying Back to work on another spying mission. I've been dispatched to Forring with a small M.A.N.T.I.S. security force to locate and tag several Octan satellite launches that are preparing to lift off. Thus far we've received little resistance or security. - D

Location: F03, Forring Tags: MANTIS, spying, land vehicle Double D's log 26: The last few weeks were a blur, but all I could remember was diving, some sort of amazing room, and then I remember appearing back at the MANTIS base.... Must have hit my head or something. Anyway, I was sent to F03 on a spying mission. Apparently Octan started some subtle operations on E01, so I was to see if I could gather any clues from Octan. I was to hack into their speeder computer systems so that we could get inside one of the Octan buildings with the security code. It took a long time to set up a signal that could capture the signals what the Octan speeders were sending. I had to get very close to the zooming speeders to catch a glimpse of a signal and then after a dozen or more speeder scans, I could piece together the signals into one code block that would open up gates and doors to Octan buildings. I liked their speeders...a lot....but I didn't let myself get too distracted from the mission. It only took 5 hours to copy the signal. Sure, I normally get things like this done in an hour, but those speeders......so sleek.... so.... fast! I need one. ~DD out
