  1. The EF76 Nebulon-B Frigate has to be one of my favorite ships from the original trilogy. After rewatching the beautiful ending scene in Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, I decided to take on the Midi-Scale challenge once again. This very compact model is made of 1,464 pieces and measures 48cm. With this design, I tried to maximize the density factor in the smallest, most convenient size possible. The Nebulon-B features a movie-accurate, fully asymmetrical design, from side panels to greebles and surface detail. It also includes cannons, sensors, an accurate and intricate bridge section, a streamlined water tank, and many small details seen on the original ship. Reproducing the various front assemblies, small buildings in the back and all the greebles around the engine section took lots of fine-tuning, mindful part choices, and fun gap-filling sessions to closely match the ILM prop model. The building process isn't too long nor complex: I once again went for a fully modular approach, and the reasonable part count makes it both a manageable and relatively affordable build. The EF76 comes with a wide built-in stand and can be moved around easily. It can even be grabbed and held by its long middle section which is made of a sturdy technic liftarm configuration. ► Instructions for the Nebulon-B are available at BrickVault! 2. Hello everyone, throughout the last 1,5 I updated you guys regularly in my WIP thread for my Empire Strikes Back in Lego Project. Now I am finally done with the project and I'd like to present all my 63 scenes in this new thread to you. The goal of this long lasting project was to re-create my all time favorite Star Wars movie entirely out of Lego covering all iconing scenes. The most challenging parts for sure were that I wanted to re-create everyting out of Lego so I needed to build all the backgrounds for Hoth, Dagobah and Cloud City as well. After watching the movie like for the 200x time in my life and making notes of which scenes I wanted to build I had quite a long list of 60+ scenes. As I already re-build A New Hope in LEGO in 54 scenes it was clear for me that I didn't want to pay less attention to Empire Strikes Back. Hence I took this challenge and now after 1,5 years I am really happy that I covered all 63 scenes :) I hope you enjoy my project and that you will also follow me on my journey of buidling Return of the Jedi (starting in November 2021) The Empire Strikes Back in LEGO (1/9) by Codyaner_bricks, on Flickr The Empire Strikes Back in LEGO (2/9) by Codyaner_bricks, on Flickr The Empire Strikes Back in LEGO (3/9) by Codyaner_bricks, on Flickr The Empire Strikes Back in LEGO (4/9) by Codyaner_bricks, on Flickr The Empire Strikes Back in LEGO (5/9) by Codyaner_bricks, on Flickr The Empire Strikes Back in LEGO (6/9) by Codyaner_bricks, on Flickr The Empire Strikes Back in LEGO (7/9) by Codyaner_bricks, on Flickr The Empire Strikes Back in LEGO (8/9) by Codyaner_bricks, on Flickr The Empire Strikes Back in LEGO (9/9) by Codyaner_bricks, on Flickr PS: you can have a look at all parts in high quality on my FLICKR Album. UCS Probe Droid

This model is heavily inspired by Icemann on Flickr. The build contains 555 pieces. All of the legs are articulated and the head rotates. Please give me feedback on the model as this is my first post and I worked very hard designing the model and the display plaque.

  6. I borrowed the wing connection mechanic's idea from a different rendition, one I came across a while ago. I wish I could find it again so I could give credit where it's due but for the life of me I've not been able to come across it again. Should anyone recognize the pivot point approach I've used please drop me a note as I want to give credit where its due. I went through three or four incarnations of what I thought the cockpit canopy should look like and sadly this was the best I could come up with at this scale. I'm still not 100% happy with it but anything else I could come up with was even worse. I could find very little in reference to the underside of the T-47 but what little I could find appeared to show an intake scoop towards the aft so I've tried my best to model this as well.
