One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. Barad-dûr was held together by dark magic and was the greatest fortress in all of Middle-earth. It was originally built in the Second Age and razed after Sauron's defeat in the War of the Last Alliance. Sauron had Barad-dûr rebuilt during the Third Age as he rose back into power, but the tower was forever destroyed immediately following the destruction of the One Ring, as it was constructed and held together using the Ring's dark magic. This project includes 5.364 pieces! In comparison, the 10189 Taj Mahal had 5.922 pieces! Here you can see the size compared to the Lego "The Tower of Orthanc". I think that's the perfect height for the tower, not too small and not too big. Please click on the images, to see them in HD. You can find all images on my Flickr album. Hello, I made my first LEGO short movie. It was alot of fun. It features the famous ring scene with elrond and Isildur in mount doom but with a twist. Thanks for watching :)

Hi guys! I bring you my new MOC that represents the first half of the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. This MOC begins in Hobbiton (The Shire) through the Old Forest where the Hobbits meet the Nazgûl, the Brandiwine river, the village of Bree, Weathertop and Rivendell. This has been 99% built for probably about a year now, but I just got around to finishing it up and taking decent pictures. The only "important" council member I'm still missing is Boromir. He's not cheap. C&C welcome.

Witch-King Battle Set #: 79015 Theme: Hobbit Year Released: 2014 Piece Count: 101 Minifigs: 3 List Price: $14.99 Box Art: The color for the Battle of the Five Armies sets is green. It is a nice look but it does not match the other Dol Guldur sets. That is not an issue for me as I recycle the empty boxes after I build the sets. Here is a side view of the box as well. When you first open your box, you will find two small bags and the instructions. I gathered the minifigure parts immediately. After all, they are the main attraction in this set. I took a photo of the capes themselves. Here are the completed minifigs. Front: Back: Back without Hair, Crown, and Capes: Before moving on to the completed build, lets compare these minifigs: Ring Wraiths and the Mouth of Sauron: Only the Witch-King's head glows in the dark. Elronds, Past, Present and Future: Here are two Elrond mashups to show army builder potential. The first using head and hair from Mirkwood Elf Army and the second from the CMF Elf. Lady Elves: And now the final build: It is showed as with the two sections of the build joined together. However, it can be separated. The Witch-King is on a piece that can be rotated. The catapult will also move the skeleton torso. There are also all the pieces to make a full skeleton once you scrap this set for parts. Speaking of parts, there are only a few spare parts. For those that are interested in the background art of the instructions, here is a sample page. Here is the parts list from the instructions. In case you want see if your Toys R Us has this set, here is the code from the receipt. By popular request, here is the Witch-king Battle with the other Dul Guldur sets. There are only a few connection points possible between these sets. Witch-King Battle has one male connection in the middle of the set and two female connections. One is in the middle and one on the end. That means that one side is not available to be connected to any set. If you remove half of the Witch-king Battle, you can connect the build to the tower of Dul Guldur Battle. Here is WKB joined with DGA Now we can subtract half of WKB. Here is a better view at the connectors on the three sets. In this photo, you can see that the other side of DGB's tower uses a single male connector which does not fit with the double female connectors of the other sets. The other side of the builds to show the connectors. I hope you enjoyed my first review. And now the score! Design: 8/10. Well the design is decent we don't collect the Hobbit sets for the builds. Still the feel of this build matches the other two Dol Guldur sets very well. Parts: 10/10 There is an excellent selection of bricks for your castle MOCs. My favorite parts are the red leaf piece and the window with the black bars. However, you get a decent selection of reddish brown and gray parts too. Build: 8/10 It was a simple build which is expected at this price point. Still it is a random amount of ruins. Playability: 10/10 There is a catapult, a Witch-King launcher, and part of a skeleton that moves with the catapult. That is more play features that some mid-sized sets get. Price: 10/10 There exclusive minifigs for less than $15. The Witch-King's crown is a new mold which Elrond and Galadriel both has new colors of their hair piece. That more than makes up for a price per piece higher than 10 cents. Overall: 46/50 (92 %) This is an excellent set for fans either The Hobbit films or Lord of the Rings. I plan on getting at least one more set to make a purist custom of Eowyn in Meduseld. None of the torsos have fleshie bits which makes these a good idea for tradition Castle fans as well. Hobbit wave three appears to be the last Middle-Earth sets. If so, don't miss your opportunity to complete your collection. Even if you are not a big fan of the Hobbit movies, you will want Galadriel and the twilight version of the Witch-King.

When I first got news of this figure, I knew I had to own one. What Tolkien fan in their right mind would pass up a Last Alliance Elrond minifigure? However, it was a preorder bonus so I had to dish out a fair amount for him figure. Keep reading for my 25th review special! Set Information: Name: Elrond Set Number: 5000202 Pieces: 6 Price: Preorder Bonus Ages: 6+ Minifigs: 1 Theme: Lord of the Rings Year of Release: 2012 Bricklink Brickset Flickr Set Baggy: The front of the bag has an action pose of Elrond over what could be actual movie footage. It's to small to tell. Then we have the Lord of the Rings banner, Saurons middle finger with the ring on it. Flipping the bag over, we have the usual safety spiel. However, there is no clear line where the color print didn't go, so we can't see the contents of the bag. The baggy is the exact same size as the Darth Maul promo polybag, which is slightly smaller than a normal polybag. Contents: There are only six parts in the bag, and no extras, but I'm already drooling over that sword! Minifigure: So, here he is, out of the bag, and in his full glory. He does look good doesn't he? I have no complaints what-so-ever about him, but let's go a bit more in-depth. Starting with a straight on shot, the first thing that jumps out at me are the colors. We have gold, a soft green, and a darker blue. They all work together perfectly here, capturing the essence of the costume. LEGO did an excellent job making the design simple but still keeping that detail. He has the same hair as Legolas and Haldir, but in dark brown. Notice he has a short cape rather than the long one featured on the bag. I'm still unsure as to why this happened, but I'll be emailing LEGO to see if I can get a long one. The armor continues on the back, even though we don't see it in the movie, I'm sure it looked something like this. A side-by-side comparison of the minifigure and Hugo Weaving who plays Elrond. There's no dirt on any of the minifigure's clothing, but I think that probably would have made it to busy. Other than that, it looks like a great recreation of him. Lastly, a quick comparison of the three elf minifigures available. They all have drawn faces and serious expressions. Nothing funny about these three. Conclusion I'm very happy with this figure. LEGO did an excellent job adapting him into LEGO form, and I can't complain about the color scheme. That sword still has me drooling, so many opportunities to use it. If you're on the fence about Elrond, go get yourself one, he's worth it! Ratings: Playability: 9/10 He's as playable as any minifigure, I don't do much playing myself, and less so with this guy as I paid a nice sum for him. Design: 10/10 The design is perfect, then again, there wasn't much LEGO had to do to this guy. But they adapted him nicely. Price: 8/10 Like I said, I dished out $25 for this guy, which I think is pretty fair for how limited his release was. Minifigure: 10/10 If LEGO, keeps making figures like this I think it's time I get a job. Parts: 10/10 I just love that new sword mold. It looks like a perfect representation of the movie prop. Hi I made two sets of council of Elrond into one.. Just to make it more like the movie and to make it big. Made more chairs, add tree's and made the hall longer. And with my extra Arwen, I remove the dress and putt on the legs from the soldiers/scouts from Lone Ranger theme. And put her next to my Attack on weathertop set to get wounded Frodo away.. what do you think... grtz raymond

I know a lot of people were looking forward to the Elrond minifigure, but it appears it no longer will be available and all of them they had in stock were sent out with the Nintendo DS/Ps Vita pre-orders that shipped Oct 30. Here are the e-mails I received from Gamestop when I inquired about the minifigure: Unless this employee was horribly misinformed and they will be getting in another shipment, it seems they have no more Elrond minifigures to send out when the console and PC versions of the game ship next week. I mentioned this possible dilemma in the Elrond Designer video thread because I first noticed people claiming they were not recieving the minifigure with their DS/Vita pre-orders on another forum. If this info is right, this seems incredibly sloppy to me. People who ordered the PC version and consol version of the game didn't even have a shot at the minifigure. Thoughts?

As some of you may have noticed there is a designer video of the new elrond minifigure, here is a link to what you have to do to watch it, http://thelordofther...cmp=COUSFR9LOTR Once you are on the link and a map of lego lotr has appeared you need to look in the bottom right hand corner of that page and there is a box which you enter a code into to watch the designer video of the elrond figure, the code is A9FB4Q the box has a title that reads enter code, once you have entered the code a little clip will appear for the video, hope it works for everyone if not just ask me and I'll try to help :)
