Major Problem with LDD, part libary damaged?
Bricks-on-Rails posted a topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Dear all, I´ve got a major problem with my LDD and i don´t know what happened. Today i launched the software as usual. Right after startup, when the start-screen with the latest six models appears. Some of the previews aren´t shown correctly. There are only red bricks with red exclamation marks. When i try to open one of these files LDD tells me that a bunch of parts, in some case over 200 have been removed. And that´s how the models look like, a bit like a piece of cheese, with many holes and open surfaces. The next error i´ve got is the part-libary on the left, the four last categories do not have a specific picture, they´re all the same and marked with a red question-mark. It also seems to my that the parts in the other categories are mixed and not sorted like they should be. Downloading again and reinstallation did not bring any success. I also tried to get it running with an older backup version on my external hard-drive but that wasn´t working too. What makes me wonder is that the Assets.lif file is different in size. Could the problem be here? Could the part-libary be damaged? Is there any possibility to fix that? With kind regards Martin -
My build for Round 6 of The Tourney at MOCpages. I chose to build a section of the city Harfleur, with Henry V making his triumphant entry after the town's surrender. The city's walls, towers, and houses, have all sustained damage from the siege. The only buildings set square to the base are the red house, and two small sections of the wall. Both houses have full interiors and working doors. See all the details here: link Thanks for looking

This arrived today: http://imageshack.us/f/18/lego1f.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/f/40/lego2f.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/f/266/lego3z.jpg/ In the first image, I did not do that to the box. That's actually how it arrived. Flimsy cardboard, no protection at all. Any idea what I should do about this? This is a hassle I really didn't need :(

Recently I order about 16 extra Uruk-hai off of BrickLink. After receiving my order I noticed all the armored chest plates all had a funky mark in them. I am not entirely sure what it is.. a defect in the mold, a stress mark, or something else? At first I was a little concerned I might of gotten a bad lot off BrickLink so I decided to turn to Lego's store and order replacement chest pieces. Well, after getting my order from them today I noticed they have the SAME mark on every one of the "replacement" chest pieces! I would think this is how they are meant to be made if not for the fact NONE of my older Uruk-hai chest pieces (around ~80) don't have the marking at all. I s this a newer mold making this mark? Is it because it's being shipped in the cold? Does anyone have any idea what's causing it? I find it odd it's only in the one spot on every chest piece and literally every one has the mark where as none of my older Uruk-hai did. Below are two pictures for comparison (sorry for the poor quality, was taken with my phone), the first are the good chest plates with no mark, the second chest is one of the werid distress mark ones.
