    [MOC] Coffee Drinker

Hello, it took me some time to build my latest creation but now it´s finally finished: A lifesize sculpture of a man drinking coffee. The model is 175 cm high and consists of approximately 14500 pieces
  2. Their offices in Quinnsville had just recently been set up properly, but the WTC had already establish local business opportunities some time ago. The island of Cocovia was known for its fertile grounds, especially for coffee and cocoa, so it seemed natural to claim some new land from the jungle for an agricultural venture. With cocoa already grown on a large plantation nearby, and another one near King's Harbour, it had been decided to go for coffee. Highly profitable, coffee was still yet to be grown in commercial quantities in Corrington - so the WTC might have a first mover advantage on the market! Having... acquired... the necessary seeds from an ETTC research site in King's Harbour, the first coffee trees were growing already, while parts of the plantation were still in the process of being set up. Fighting back the jungle proved to be easier said than done! .. The local WTC Operator was discussing the progress with the plantations foreman: "We need to get this up and running as soon as possible. I promised results to Mr. Mordo, and I do not plan to disappoint him." "But sir, I need more men. The conditions here are tough, and even then the trees only grow so fast. It will take time, no matter what." "I guess. Still, hasten your efforts. The sooner we can sell overpriced coffee to gullible minifigs, the better." "Will do, sir. By the way, what is it with all the gold?" "We are a royal trade company after all! It also helps with moving our income around. For tax purposes, you know. The last thing we want is to pay the Crown..." ================================= Licensed as a medium plantation in Quinnsville. A wide shot of the full build: One more aerial view: Since this is for the GoC-initiative, a shoutout to @Ayrlego, @Bregir, @Captain Dee and @SilentWolf. If possible I would really appreciate a quick response if this build is fine, since it takes quite a bit of room, and I fear our cats might soon find it... interesting. I was unable to pick coffee as a category when licensing this, which I found very odd (I picked "Tropical Fruit" instead, which coffee technical is). An oversight in the licensing form? This also might call for an update of the island bonus list. As always, C&C are appreciated, thanks for watching!
  3. Hello everyone. I am here to present one of my creations: The central perk coffee of the serie "Friends". Being fan of this series for several years, I found interesting the idea of creating this set knowing that no proposal of the central perk has been proposed to date. Friends being a cult and timeless series has attracted millions of fans, as well as BigBang Theory, Ghostbuster and Back to the Future, this set would complement a long series of Lego on movies and TV series. Phoebe behind her microphone and singing her famous song "SMELLY CAT" Gunther the manager of the central perk. He always fantasizes about getting married with Rachel For this, I propose my project on the official website lego ideas. Currently I have more than 3150 supporters and hope to reach the next 10000 to have a chance that my idea is selected. If you find the idea great, do not hesitate to support this creation and also left me a comment to know what you think :) Thanks to all https://ideas.lego.com/projects/156030

    [MOC] Winter Village Ice Rink

Quaint skating spot with a snack shack for a warm cuppa coffee and pretzel. Stephanie and Kristoff arrive in a Holiday Sleigh all decked out with seasonal garland. It's pulled by the Reindeer Sven -- wearing festive bows too! ~~~ Built with parts from only 41322 Snow Resort Ice Rink and 41066 Anna & Kristoff's Sleigh Adventure. Sven is headed straight for that winter Lavender! Inside the shack we can see the offerings of pretzels, cupcakes, mint sparkling water, ice cream cone and, of course: coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate! The microphone by the register broadcasts over the speaker by the rink -- so you can be told when your snack is ready. If you decide to ski cross-country, you can rent those and poles near the frozen fountain. Warmed by the rink's firepit, Stephanie enjoys her Salted-Caramel Ice Cream cone on the bench -- while Sven munches on a carrot. Kristoff is busy making hot chocolate for two. Grabbing her hot cocoa off the window counter, Stephanie is excited for renting skates and hockey gear! Game on! Steph will try for the corner pocket ;-) As dusk arrives -- it's time to head back to warmer Village shops. This sleigh has a unique license plate -- so you'll always know it's Sven guiding travellers through the snowy scenery!

    [MOC] Prater Ferris Wheel

Hi all,We're back again to show you another old MOC, the Prater Ferris Wheel. The ferris wheel is built on the mechanism of the #4957 LEGO set and the style is that of the Prater in Wien, while the café and the park are invented. The work consists of about 8000 LEGO bricks (80 minifigures included). You can notice plenty of details, including people taking a selfie, fallen leaves, frightened people escaping from the park, jogging guys, pretty girls, elegant couples waiting for their high-class wagon, men at work, plants, bike raks and so on. Here are some photos; you can find more on our Flickr profile. Thanks for visiting! FBros

    MOC: Kahuka's Koffee

Hello all. I've finally completed my last build of the year with Kahuka's Koffee. A building influenced predominantly by neo-classical architecture. It has taken about 3 months to complete. I've wanted to try my hand at more varied styles of architecture. It's been 4 years since I last had a go at a classical style. The problem I find with this style is that it tends to be all one or very few colours and it makes picking out details more difficult so I've opted to vary the colours of floors and put highlights in where I could. I wanted to include a rounded roof mainly to finally use the PAB cup full of 1x4 slopes in black I got a while back. I also was keen to incorporate balconies and many arches - common in classical architecture. There is an interior but only for the ground level floor (Said here in the UK), but I've not chosen to build upper floors as it would take too long and frankly I just didn't have enough plates to build another 5 floors If you're wondering why it's called Kahuka's Koffee, there is a subtle hint of the Islanders theme in the facade. I've included a slightly updated version of my streamlined delivery van which I made some years ago to give some busyness feeling to the street. Anyway here's all 9 pics; If you wish to view them at flickr my stream is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/52656812@N04/ If you have any questions about techniques I used or any comments please feel free. Cheers!

Twin Peaks - Damn Good Coffee!

Custom Minifig - FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks
  10. The other day I built a coffee stand I named "Cup o' Java". I didn't think it would get so much attention, and to my surprise it was picked up by The Brothers Brick and on Reddit today. It's a fairly straight forward build, and if anyone is interested in building one, you can download the LDD download link below: LDD file: https://drive.google...aXJvZzQxLWFsRHM Rebrickable page: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-7416/Miro/coffee-mug-stand/ The LDD is of the mug shaped stand only with coffee machine and steam on top. Feel free to swap out colors as you see fit. I used what I had on hand. Miro Cup o' Java by Miro Dudas, on Flickr
  11. Hello friends! Finally got back in the grind! My latest is a building built for the modular scale, quite simple actually but the focus is on the inside details. Video below: The ground floor features a Pasión del Cielo coffee branch, it's similar to recognizable names like Starbucks except aside from local pastries, your choice of coffee from 11 beans (which I felt the wall that they were displayed on was the coolest feature to build). They have locations in Miami and Mexico so I admit they probably aren't well known in the EB community but nonetheless something I want to share! The top floor features a store selling exercise/sporting material (and supposedly bikes as an ode to one of the coffee company's partners) and has a yoga studio. Wanted to capture different elements of the local lifestyle using LEGO Brick. Enjoy! Full size images available here https://www.flickr.c...157663424251735

    [M-E03] Sabotage Most Foul

    >MANTIS HQ, Aviation Control Department >0700 Hours "So the Mandalakian golfer says to the camel".... "Hi Guys! I'm Alex, the new intern! I'm really excited to work here! I love flying spaceships! How can I help out? Can I do anything?" *Sigh* (Quietly, to self) "Who asked for this new guy?" "Yeah, if you want to be of any help, get us some more coffee." "OK! Great! I love getting people coffee! Did I tell you that I just love working with spaceships?" *Sluuuuuurp....BOOM!* "Gah!" To be continued...

[M D10] We really need more coffee...

***Bridge of the MSS Marauder, somewhere in the Hamilton Belt*** Gosh this patrol mission is boring. I spy with my little eye, something black. Is it the vast, endless, black expanse of space? Yup. Could you get them to send up a bit more coffee? They're all out. This is going to be a long, long day. Not so fast, looks like we've got a bogey coming in on the radar. Looks like the Kawas have sent one of their interceptors over. The gunnery station's got him. He's going down. Poor bloke. So, still no more coffee?

I was working on one thing today, but then something I started two or three weeks ago caught my attention and decided to work on it. A coffee shop..... I just need some signs and Larry from the Lego Movie collectables series, then my coffee shop can join my Coles Express servo setup......this is now replacing my diner idea because....cash flow is bad again - anyway keep watching.
