Baroque church The exterior is inspired by: Church of St Anne in Budapest, Hungary (built in 1740-1762) The interior is inspired by: Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia (built in the 18th century) This building is a part of a series of 21 buildings built in different architectural styles. The city I'm currently working on needed a proper structure to complete its monumental street, passing through modular buildings, a triumphal arch and around a central square. I thought a church, with a St Peter's Basilica styled columnade, could work well; in addition I used the world renowned Florence Duomo (which I actually built thanks to dear friends in my national LUG) as an inspiration for its plan. It's a early baroque church built on the plan of the cross topped with a dome. Scale is approx 1/100. No interior, because of parts used for fixing windows and doors. And there is no way to show it anyway.

L'Aile du Pontis (The Pontis Wing) of the Royal Palace in Granoleon is where King Philip I and Queen Beatrice of Oleon have their residence. I built this for the Oleon introduction and for the Coronation festivities mini-challenge. If you think I've not been very active on the forum or (like me) think my challenge II build were a bit rushed, here is the explanation Finally I get to show this build to you (at least those of you who are not friends with me on Flickr and have already seen WIP pictures there. Thanks to all of you for the valuable feedback during the design phase!) This is my first attempt at baroque architecture, inspired by the the Royal Palace of Stockholm and other similar palaces. Thanks to all of you who provided feedback during the build and I will also give due credit to my fellow LUG member Wineyard for the design elements I've stolen borrowed from his LDD creations.
