  1. My brother built this two-story building originally for his town hall on a whim. He never liked it and was going to scrap it, until I convinced him to sell it to me for $30 instead. When my brother owned it, it was completely empty and without any real roof like it now has. However, it originally did have a huge 6x6 clock dish where the dollar sign now is. (He kept that part, but I don't mind) I've turned it into a neo-classical style bank, styled after the town hall from the Back to the Future films. The dollar sign piece was reverse-engineered from Brick City Depot pictures of their bank. The building is replacing my 2011-vintage Gringotts bank MOD, based on part of set 10217. (Diagon Alley) The blank rear wall. There are supposed to be 13,800 "dollars" in the vault in 100 dollar notes. As to what's in the chest: it might be the Holy Grail... or Jimmy Hoffa's body. No-body knows! The printed vault door from "the Incredibles" series of sets is in there, but not visible in this shot. I have four teller windows (two on left, two on right) to the model's first floor. There is also a Bank truck coming eventually. Comments, questions, or suggestions welcome!

    MOC: Bank

Hello all. I've just recently completed a new bank as its been over a decade since my last one https://www.flickr.com/photos/52656812@N04/5873042040/in/dateposted-public/ - hopefully it shows I've improved - at least in my photography skills! Its still of an art-deco style like the former but with some more geometric touches and a sharper finish. It was inspired by the Bank of Ireland building in Belfast which was built in the late 1920s and still stands today; I've also included an interior for the ground floor which is not based on any bank interior in particular as the material from that time is very hard to come by for a smaller bank. There is an elevator, patterned floor, teller booths and a relief on the wall to capture the period. As usual you can find them on my flickr stream here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/52656812@N04/ Regards!
  3. This model is revamped version of set 41134 (Heartlake Performance School) with parts of set 10217 (Diagon Alley) and a heavily modified version of the truck from set 75972 (Dorado Showdown) thrown together to make this classical styled bank. The time-frame is set in the mid to late Roaring Twenties, when gangsters like Al Capone ruled Chicago's speakeasies and bank robbers such as Bonnie & Clyde ran rampant across the USA. (Of course, the law was always at their heels, and eventually justice was served.) This is the fourth version, which is set to replace my Gringotts bank model, which has become a sore spot on my layout as it's just too small. As before, this bank features a fancy entrance with Greek columns going up and creating a balcony on the second and third floors. The model features a detailed interior, and is open-able like a dollhouse to provide access to the inside. Also, the black 1 x 4 brick above the front door should have this BANK print on it. The rear of the bank has a second story fireplace flue. The model is open-able like a dollhouse to provide access to the inside, as you can see by the hinges on this side. Inside the front half and on the lower floor, we have two tellers desk with spots for four customers total. The upper floor features counting desks, along with half of the the money-filled vault. The lower floor on the back half features a staircase to the upper floor, a controlled access point to the behind-the-scenes part of the bank and the bank managers desk. The upper floor features the other half of the vault with the rest of the $14,800 in hundred dollar bills. (I transferred all the green bricks into 1x2 plates, then times by 100 to get that number.) This model was partially inspired by 2019 Overwatch set 75972 (Dorado Shwodown) which I reverse engineered from a picture last week into the front half of the truck seen here. The rear of the truck. The rear double-doors open to stash valuables, the roof section comes off, and the driving compartment seats one mini-figure. Thank you for looking at these models. Any comments, be they helpful, quizzical, or critical are welcome at any time. Thanks again for reading!
  4. Facing the main square of Arlinsport, the new headquarter of the Bank of Corrington has now been finished, and the bank is opening for business. The building itself is almost monumental in style, symbolising the stability and security it stands for (and offering some of the safest vaults of New Terra). The employees are well paid and recruited after extreme vetting to ensure their moral standards. ___________________________________________ The bank offers anyone to set up an account, whereafter access to any of the banks multitude of services can be arranged. Base service 24 hour access to accounts You can always find your current account here. Free and instant withdrawals and deposits to and from your account (within your credit limit!). (Simply fill out the proper transaction form and enter your transaction in the above sheet under "Deposits", as well as in this thread.) Interest on deposits All account holders with positive balances share in any interest earned on loans and credit lines. Optional services Credit line and loans Negotiate a credit line to help you when in need of extra liquidity, or take out a one time loan Anonymous accounts Should this be of interest, an anonymous account can be set up. Joint investment handling Are you tired of monthly payments to investors? Place your investment under the BoC, and let the proceeds automatically flow into the bank accounts of the shareholders to be withdrawn at their convenience. The BoC handles investments of all kinds, in return for a small set-up fee and share of profits. (Contact your personal advisor for details on prices and set-up) ? (The bank will regularly audit the accounts to check for discrepancies, and criminal or fraudulent behaviour will be punished most severely.) Should this lead to any questions, feel free to ask here or in more private communication. Also, do you think this 16x16 build can be licensed as a small commerce? 5. These next Twenty-plus models are all built in the style of CREATOR set 31206, (Bike Shop & Cafe) with each having either removable floors or open on a hinge and snap closed with a Technic Pin. Pizzeria Inspired by the B model from set 31026, (Bike Shop & Cafe) this building was originally going to be hotel but turned into a pizza parlor with an outside staircase and delivery van. This model features seven seats spread out over two floors. It also features a pizza oven and counter with cash register. There is also as ladder to the roof with access hatch. This van is a modified version of what is in set 79104 (The Shellraiser Street Street Chase). It features two rear doors and two side doors, plus the roof sign with pizza. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1407259993m.lxf Modern bank This is an update to my previous version of this bank. It features Light Bluish Gray instead of Dark Blue to keep costs down. I have also added a armored vehicle. The rear contains stairs to the upper level, and a expanded Vault on the second story. Also, the skylight has been moved to the rear roof and it does not open anymore. The front contains nearly the same components as the original set. The first floor has a non-break-away ATM , desk, waiting area, and sorting tray for packages, while the second story contains the entrance to the bank vault. This modified Armored Truck goes with the Modern Bank. LDD file: (to be added) Benny's Spaceship Shop! (In his spare time Benny operates a store selling custom LEGO space kits. He also lives in the shop on the second floor.) This was originally was the Pizza shop in set 7641, City Corner. (re-released as set 60031 last year) I added a back based on the Bicycle shop from set 31026, and put in a hinge system with a Technic pin to lock it closed. I then colored it blue instead of the original red and made it into Benny's shop with all it classical space goodness. Benny's shop features a micro spaceship in the display window, rear delivery door, and cash register. On the second floor is the apartment Benny lives in. It features a bed, side-table, computer, micro space layout, and ladders to the first and third floors. The third floors attic is empty but it usually features boxes of miscellaneous stuff. Here is Benny's car. It is supposed to feature the Classic Space Logo on the trunk (via this part: http://www.bricklink...26326&colorID=7 ) Benny's car was made back in 1984 by Universal Motors Corporation. Since 1997, the second gear shift has been jammed, thus rendering the car flightless. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1407339846m.lxf Captain's Daughter Tavern This was originally part of set 10193, Medieval Market Village. It has been redesigned to have a interior staircase and still have plenty of room for serving drinks and simple food. There is supposed to be a sign out front with this print: http://www.bricklink...asp?P=2335pb075 The inside of the model features a Frog on the bar (for no real reason), a inside staircase, and a bunch of seating on the second floor. Their is a crude gumball machine on the second floor at the top of the stairs. This is the delivery van for the Captain's Daughter Tavern, getting beer and other assorted alcohol from the brewery. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1407343191m.lxf Tudor-style House This house was built from set 10193 (Medieval Market Village). It was originally the blacksmith's which works fine in a Castle setting, but this building is supposed to be from the late 1920's! So I removed the blacksmiths and added a proper lower floor with a connecting staircase to the upper floor. This building's lower floor has a couch and table with lamp on top. On the second floor is my bed and a pot belly stove which warms the house up very nicely. I have a soft spot for this car, as it is the last remaining model I have built from my early Lego career / 2002. I've modified it a lot, but it basically went from medium blue to black, opening doors to no doors, and opening trunk to no trunk and back to opening trunk, all in the space of 12 years of evolving part design. (The original model was the Ford Anglia from the 2002 Harry Potter "Escape from Privet Drive" set.) LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1407344930m.lxf Octan Gas Station I built this OCTAN Gas Station from a Starter Model in LDD back in 2011, and have wanted to build it ever since. It features a sign and Tanker truck inspired by 10184 (Town Plan). By the way: The sign features two of this part (print not in LDD): http://www.bricklink...m.asp?P=2431px9 Instead of being in the 1950's, I set this station to have been built in the early '60's to mid '70's. The roof for the station is removable, and the bay fits most 16 stud long cars. (but just barley) Any official LEGO City car should fit fine. This truck was based off of the 2008 Town Plan set's tanker. It features a more American-style hood and grille, plus four tank lids instead of the original three. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1407774834m.lxf Bob's Adventure Supplies Built in 1898, this stone building was a small mining supply store, selling shovels and pickaxes to the miners from the local quarry and construction workers. In 1969, after 70+ years of business, the store was sold to a re-development firm for demolition. Thankfully, the building was saved through the actions of a local historic preservation group, who then bought the building to be used a a historical documents library. That library was moved to the Town Hall in 1998, and the building was sold to Bob with one condition: to never tear it down or disturb its historic status. Bob then turned the building back to it's roots with the opening of his Adventure Supplies shop which is still there to this day. NOTES: This is a modified version of Olivander's Wand Shop from 2011 set 10217 Diagon Alley with a back and staircase added, plus the expensive sand green and dark blue have been replaced. Also, this building is ONLY open-able up to 90 degrees. The whole 180 is impossible due to the way the original Olivanders Wand Shop was designed... sorry! The inside features tons of bits of gear, weapons, & devices for adventuring in any place (or time). This includes swords and a large mace to spacesuits and laser pistols. Bob's 1978 Nexus. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1410447014m.lxf Backwash Saloon I turned Colby City Showdown (set 79109) into a proper building for my town. It features removable floors to access the interior along with plenty of details. Also, this saloon is named after / supposed to include the Lego Movie mini-figures Sudds Backwash & Root Beer Belle. (NOTE: I have this building in real life now, plus the new "neon" sign. The old sign that was centered above the corner doesn't work in real life. I don't know why LDD allowed it in the first place, as it's an illegal build. The LDD file has been updated to reflect these changes.) This floor features: bar, four tables, several drinks containers, and a printed cash register. This part ( http://www.bricklink...asp?P=3039pb026 ) is supposed to be the register, but it is not in Lego Digital Designer. The second floor features three more tables for those really busy days, plus the piano. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1422741868m.lxf 1950's Fire Station Here we see my MOD of the Brick City Depot (Winter Village) Fire station. I redid the color scheme in some places & added a different Fire Engine. (which happens to be a MOD of set 9484, Red's Water Rescue) I redid the vehicle door connections and put pillars in the corners of the building. I also completely remodeled the roof, adding a water tower instead of the original bell tower. I want to add an old-school air raid siren, like the ones from the Cold War. The problem is I have no idea how to make one. If anyone has any ideas on that, please comment! The inside features a pole to slide on, a equipment locker, and just enough space for the 1950's fire truck. I built this from set 9484, Red's Water Rescue. I replaced the eyes with trans-black tiles and cheese slopes, while adding a grille where the mouth was. I also beef up the rear, and removed the flick-fire missiles. 1950's V8 Gas Station This model was originally built in 2012. It was inspired by the 2011 CARS set 8487, (Flo's V8 Cafe) but made larger and without the launcher and car wash. Yesterday I re-discovered the model and enlarged the bays from six to eight wide, added a rear to the building for the gas station attendant, and redid the curved roof covering the 8 gas pumps. The inside features a clock, four-flavor soda fountain, and the attendant's desk. Their is also a storage area under the soda fountain. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1414426653m.lxf I will probably get this Gas Station instead of the OCTAN... as soon as I build the other buildings! Old Stone Bank I took set the Bank from the 2011 Harry Potter LEGO set Diagon Alley (number 10217) and gave it a make over into a more City-like set. First I straightened the columns out, and added a more protected Bank teller area. The vault was shortened width-wise by 1 stud, making it 3 studs thick. (plus the door, of course) The sign out front feature the two stickers from the 2014 Getaway Glider LEGO Movie set (number 70800). One says "BA" while the other says "NK". (Here is the complete sticker sheet: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=70800stk01 ) Here you can see the redone teller area, smaller bank vault. LDD file for the bank: http://www.mocpages....1414606259m.lxf This old-fashioned Bank also features a vehicle: a modern armored truck. It was taken from set 76105, Doc Ock's truck Heist and modified to follow Eurotrash48903's example of the same type. There are some cosmetic changes from the LDD file to real life, but it's functionally the same. LDD file for the truck: http://www.mocpages....1411148366m.lxf Ironwood Hotel This Hotel was born out of boredom. I was not doing much when I stumbled upon set 7633 (2009's Construction Site, link: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7633-1 ) and was hit with the idea of making that CITY building front into a Creator-style full building with an opening back. I struggled with the design until i saw some Friends - themed instructions by a blogger named Kristel. (link to her awesome blog: http://modularsbykristel.com/ ) Her "Joanna’s Place" instructions inspired the roof design and the middle floors' windows. Then I combined all that with the HOTEL sign from the 2007 Cafe Corner modular building. (link: http://www.bricklink...m.asp?S=10182-1 ) I threw together the interior, (If you can call three beds and a front desk "interior"!) at the last minute. As I said before, I am no interior designer. The beds were copied from Medieval Market Village (set 10193, link: http://www.bricklink...m.asp?S=10193-1 ) and the desk was a table scrap. LDD file for the Hotel: http://www.mocpages....1415988835m.lxf Barber Shop This Barber Shop was partially inspired by set 7641, (City Corner, link to BrickLlink: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7641-1 ) and it's bike shop and partially by the works of Kristel, whose Instructions from her blog led me to this roof design. Anyway, the building has a sign out front that is supposed to say "BARBER SHOP", in printed letters. Underneath that is a barber pole and two haircut styles on display in the front window. The first floor features two display heads with vintage hair styles, some chairs for waiting customers, and a cash register. On the second floor is two swivel chairs that also can recline (these chairs were copied from the ones in the Detective's Office modular building) and some bottles of hair care products. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1420591242m.lxf Town Hall (Version 2) This building was inspired by 2008 set 10184, Town Plan. I added a rear to the building in a style like set 31026, Bike Shop & Cafe. The building also takes cues from Scotnick and his modular take on the Town plan set. The upper floor features the mayors office with filing cabinets while the lower floor features the secretary’s desk. The LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1423179603m.lxf Haunted House This build was based on LEGO set 4756 (called Shrieking Shack ) from the 2004 Harry Potter / Prisoner of Azkaban movie line. My revamped version of the set features a hinge system to allow access to the interior while preserving the sense that it is a complete building. The house also has a interior and a secret exit through the fireplace. The house features a secret exit through the fireplace and boarded up windows. There are 10 of those 1x6 tan tiles in this build, and all of them are missing a specific rare wooden board print. (see it here: http://www.bricklink...m.asp?P=6636px1 ) The lower floor features a phonograph and two chairs, plus the secret fireplace escape route. The second floor features a rotten bed frame. LDD file for the haunted house: http://www.mocpages....1423180399m.lxf Johnny Thunder's office Inspired by the Bank building in set 6484, (Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase) this building features two floors and a "cast iron" facade. The bottom floor features Johnny's office with telephone, hat rack, bottle of root beer, and desk made from crates, while the top floor features the Trophy Room with these items: a Sword made in India out of ivory, a ancient Roman Shield from Italy, a golden Ring of Power from a dark land far away, a silver glove of an Aztec suit of armor, the Spear of Destiny from Jerusalem, a Trident from Atlantis, and a scythe from the Land of the Dead. The Treasure Chaser is based off of set 7622, Race for the Stolen Treasure. (2008's Indiana Jones theme) This is a better version of the Treasure Raider that I made a couple months back. This vehicle features a spare tire, head & tail lights, plus a good old adventurer favorite: the classic two seat piece from way back in 1998 and last in 2013. LDD file for office plus car: http://www.mocpages....1423430126m.lxf Sinister Mansion - Revisited This classic 90's LEGO-styled model was originally built in 2007 by a Brickshelf user named "Widdi". That user uploaded the instructions (seen here:http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=249223 ) which I stumbled upon and built / modified in Lego Digital Designer. I added another story for the tower, put furniture inside and worked a garage into the structure. More recently, I have redone the tower and removed some of the windows. The inside features the furniture from my Haunted House (10228) MOD, including (but not limited to): a Queen size bed, stove, table, phonograph, sidetable with lamp plus the couch. The first floor I has the living / dining rooms, as the couch, stove and table and other associated items are there. The second floor features the master bedroom with a small balcony on the right side. The third floor is the attic, which is empty. The tower / roof (fourth floor) is also empty. This is Sam sinister's personal ride: It is included in the LDD file. LDD file for the mansion and car: http://www.mocpages....1431479292m.lxf Johnny Thunder's office (version 2) This building was inspired by set Modular Building set numbers 10246: Detective Office, and 10190: Market Street. The first floor's look was totally taken from 10246, while the roof details are from 10190. Also, the year 1897 should be above the front door in printed black 1 x 1 tiles. The levels lift off like a modular but it lacks modular building pins, a base-plate and is not the proper size, being 18 studs square after all. Johnny's car is included in the Building's LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1427128673m.lxf Benny's Classic Town-style Apartment This is Benny the 1980-something Space Guy's apartment. It features a garage with dual opening doors on the lower floor for his Lego Classic Space - styled Car. Benny himself (minus his suit's printing, of course!) is there as well. The style of the set is based off half of set 6390, a Classic Town set from 1980. (This set was re-released in 2003 under the short-lived Lego LEGENDS line as set 10041.) Also, unlike most of my buildings, Benny's apartment does not open like a dollhouse, but features removable levels to accesses the inside, much like a modular building. I was inspired to build this model after seeing the dark red half-track / truck in set 60071, Hovercraft Arrest. The model features a row of space-ship styled seats opening doors, and "double" tail lights. (I used a trans-red grille to create a nice effect.) the white tiles is supposed to be Benny's license plate. Here is the LDD file for the car and building: http://www.mocpages....1433945715m.lxf NEW Post Office This is my LEGO town's post office. It was inspired by the B model of Creator set 31026, (Bike Shop & Cafe) and features a detailed interior, delivery truck, outside staircase and a hinge to allow you to open the building. This same hinge system "locks" the building closed by way of a Technic pin. The lower floor features a service desk, mailbox and two seats for waiting customers. The upper floor features a desk for sorting outgoing mail and a cabinet full of dead letters, a list of addresses for my town, and other assorted stuff. This truck is a MOD of the truck from set 10222, Winter Village Post Office. It seats two people and has storage room (with opening doors) in the back for packages. LDD file for post office and truck: http://www.mocpages....1429490041m.lxf OLD Post Office This was my first town building I built way back in 2011. It houses my Post office and features a large bay window. The inside of the model features a work area on the second floor piled high with letters and packages to be sorted. The lower floor features a couple of chairs for waiting customers to sit in, and a counter to add packages being handed over into the computer tracking system. This truck is also in the LDD file. LDD file for this older post office: http://www.mocpages....1314989073m.lxf Model Train Club This model houses Iron LUG, the local LEGO Users Group for Ironwood - area residents. It is situated in an old pharmacy that has been renovated into a display area. Inside the model is the Iron LUG LEGO layout, with a train, tracks, and "water". Their is even a control switch to speed up the train. (in reality the train does not move, being set into the 1 stud wide track) (No LDD file available for this one, sorry!) Grays Movie Theater The theater is modeled after the one in 2008 set 10184, Town Plan. The original upload of this model was in gray-scale way back in September 2014, and this is a colorized update of that model. I was going to name this movie theater Bleys, after the derogatory nickname of the post-2003 switch to Bluish Grey.... but I didn't want to stir up old feelings of resentment and stubbornness, so I named it "Greys" instead. I chose white panels for the windows and theater door because I have seen first hand how bad stickers on clear windows are, (my brother had this set) and wanted something more realistic. If I were to build this, I would use stickers (Shock & horror!) from both the Town Plan theater & Palace Cinema modular building, (as they are of compatible styling) and stick them on the front and sides. The letters G-R-A-Y-S would be printed on 1x1 tiles on the main sign (both sides!)... but the main "now showing" signage, however, would remain blank unless I Can fit the these words on it: STAR WARS - A NEW HOPE to replicate the 1977 showing of this iconic film. My town is set in modern times, so this could create some issues... Here is the inside, complete with Foosball table, waiting seats and refreshment stand. Currently however, there are seven seats in the theater plus the two for the people waiting outside, and one for the ticket taker. There are two soda flavors available, one of which is Sgt. Pepper, a Beatles and a Dr. Pepper reference in one drink! LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1429563317m.lxf Victorian Townhouse This building was originally the Brick City Depot 'Winter Village - Victorian House" model. (Link to it here: https://www.brickcit...victorian_house ) I removed the snow, and sloped-plate roof, and added a back half with stairs to the model. There is even a fireplace for keeping you warm on cold winter nights. The rear of the model features the chimney flue. As usual, this building hinges open and shuts on a Technic pin. The inside of the model features most of my standard details, such as a stove (which is supposed to look like it's hooked into the chimney), couch, vintage phonograph, table with lamp, curio cabinet, and twin-size bed. I have even included a analog clock on the wall above the fireplace to complete the early 1900's look. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1430059147m.lxf Johnny Thunder's Office - revisited original version Since the last time I uploaded Johnny Thunder's office, I did a Bricklink inventory of the parts list and found that the first model is way cheaper than the following versions I made. It may be not as fancy, but it get the job done and looks okay too. Also, I credit Eurobricks / Flickr user "Kristal" for the roof top decorations technique. (Here is a link to her blog: http://modularsbykristel.com/ ) The inside features a new look: a stove borrowed from the Haunted House (set 10228) and a staircase with railings instead of a ladder. The cabinets have been moved upstairs, and the desk has been redesigned as well. This model's LDD file also comes with Johnny's car, seen here in real life. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1430498488m.lxf Grocery Store with apartment This build was inspired by sets 41108, (Heartlake Food Market) 10684 (Supermarket Suitcase), with other sets thrown in as needed. This sign ( http://www.bricklink...asp?P=6179pb086 ) goes above the front door. This poster ( http://www.bricklink...sp?P=87079pb197 )goes next to the picture window. The store-owner uses this torso. ( http://www.bricklink...?P=973pb1935c01 ) The inside (lower floor) isn't my best work, but it gets the idea across that this is a grocery store. The store features tow shelves, a freezer, gumball machine and, in the restroom, a toilet and sink. The upper floor is the super market owner's apartment and is very basic with couch, table with two chairs, bed and TV (with test pattern made from a Star Wars control pad). LDD file for the Grocery Store: http://www.mocpages....1432840783m.lxf As for the models I need to get versus one's I already own, the list is something like this: I already have: Benny's car, Bob's car, Fire Truck, Tudor-style house, black & white Ford Anglia, Captain's Daughter Tavern, Old Stone Bank, Bob's Adventure Supplies, Backwash Saloon, Johnny Thunders car, Sam Sinister's car, OLD Post office, & Model train club. I need to build: Town Hall (Version 2), Barber Shop, Johnny Thunder's office (Revisited Version 1), NEW Post office, & Benny's apartment, Victorian Mansion and maybe the Victorian townhouse . The rest of them I probably will not build. Comments, Questions, suggestions, & complaints are always welcome!

    [MOC] Armored Truck

Armored Truck building instructions Part list
  7. This bank was originally designed for the Western theme as a two story open-backed model. I then decided it would look better as a regular town model and thus I added a rear half and third floor. The model opens like a dollhouse on a hinge, and locks shut on a Technic pin, just like most of my buildings. The more modern-looking truck model is a modified version of the 2014 set 76015, Doc Ock Truck Heist, with the bulk of the changes inspired by Flickr user eurotrash48903, or Eurotrash as he is known he on EurobBricks. The truck is already built in real life, but it is included in the LDD file as well. When the building is built in real life as well, I will update this thread with pictures of it in real bricks instead of in digital screenshots. The bank should feature printed 1 x 1 letter tiles in various spots: the top of the building below the clock should say "1892" while just above the front door should be the word "BANK". Inside the building on the lower floor is the three teller windows and loan officers desk. The middle floor features three counting tables and tow vaults. (those vaults are the same as the one in set 10217, Diagon Alley) The upper floor features the bank manager's office with filing cabinets and three chairs. The rear of the building. This truck was inspired by Eurotrash and his own MOD of the set to be 7 wide. I didn't change it quite as much as him, but I did follow his lead in several spot, such as shortening the frame by 2 studs and getting rid of the ridiculously over-sized original wheels. The roof and front have been strengthened and a door added to the rear, as their was none before. One mini-figure can sit in the drivers seat. The LDD file for the both bank and truck is included in this link here. As usual, comments, questions and complaints are welcome.
  8. Building ships, licensing properties, raising troops, and financing expeditions to find new islands are not cheap endeavors. And when you bring back all that gold from your latest expedition, where are you going to store it? In all of these cases, the Weelond Investment and Financial Exchange is here to serve you. The Weelond Investment and Financial Exchange is willing to help you with financing expensive endeavors, for a fee or a percentage of course. And the secure vault is a safe place for you to store your gold and other precious metals and gems. You could even make a small percentage of profit if you allow the Exchange to use your gold in its transactions, while your total deposit value is guaranteed. You can post banking inquiries here or PM Capt Wolf if you want to discuss things privately. The Exchange is located on a prominent street corner in Weelond. Today we see a wealthy adventurer concluding a deal with the banker. A ne’er-do-well hiding around the corner will be disappointed to discover that all of the adventurer’s gold is safely in the vault. About the build: This MOC started out as an experiment to see what I could do with a couple of those big roof pieces from a Harry Potter set. I’m happy with how I was able to extend the length of the roof, but the depth of the building is still very limited, so I added the rear extension for the vault. Turning it into an actual operating bank was a spur of the moment idea as I was working on the write-up. We’ll have to wait to see if I make a fortune or go broke! More pictures without the figures: Thanks for looking. All C&C (and banking inquiries) welcome!
  9. You know a building is doomed when you start stealing pieces from it for another project. The interior is in ruins already, but I thought it was worth taking a photo of the facade to share. This was supposed to be a bank or maybe a library or maybe a museum. It's a bit undersized for a modular and that was bothering me. Inspired by this real bank in Staunton, VA.

  11. Pennington has decided that the colonies are of top priority to the crown and as such has used his own money to start up a Bank for the people of Arlinsport to hold their wealth on their way to riches and glory. He has spared no expense making sure traditional Corrington foliage adorned the gardens in front of the building along with Ivy and Hemp to ensure it's regal statue. Being a busy man he sent his least favorite painter to the colonies to provide him a picture of the finished construction. DSC00407 by Paul Vogel, on Flickr DSC00408 by Paul Vogel, on Flickr Though, when questioned the painter is said to have told locals Pennington's actual words were, "Why would I ever want to go to that filthy rats nest of a colony with all the peasant.". The truth is still being debated.

    MOC: Modern City Bank

Well hello there! I'd like to show you a MOC I made: A modern city bank. I normally don't build in this style, so this was an experiment with new styles and stuff. But I quite like how it turned out. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5833.jpg Here's another view; No, this isn't sand, it's the pavement. I heard lots of people about this. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5834.jpg And here's the back, with a big window integrated in the wall of the second floor. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5835.jpg Well, let's take a look inside. The ''cd-rack'' as my little brother calls it comes off like this: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5836.jpg Here's an overview of the ground floor: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5837.jpg Here's Steve, doing financial stuff (I'm not gonna say what, that wouldn't be nice for Steve.) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5838.jpg Here's a little waiting space. Steve is reading the Financial Times, he has invested in Lego. I hope he makes profit! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5839.jpg Here's a little kitchen, for personel only. Ah, I see Edward is enjoying his Brickola Cola. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5840.jpg Here are the stairs to the second floor, with a little barricade for people who don't work there. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5841.jpg Oh well, this picture is blurry. That isn't such a big problem, you can still see what is where. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5843.jpg Here's one side of the office space: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5845.jpg Here works Pete, he hopes that one day he will get an office for himself. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5846.jpg And here's the other side, where one of Pete's colleagues is drinking his well earned cup of coffee after ten minutes of work. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5847.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/aBrickshelfUser/MOCs/img_5848.jpg Well, here's the bosses office, where he can sit back and relax work hard. [MOC] Elephant Building

This gorgeous tall building was once an architectural highlight of the city. It was also one of the centers of business activity, usually overcrowded by citizens. Everything changed when alien invaders suddenly came from the darkest depths of Earth. Giant drilling machines pierced the earth surface, and myriads of underground creatures flooded into the city, forcing its inhabitants to flee. Elephant Building sustained severe internal damage and now it is on the verge of destruction, although its facade and distinctive columns remain intact. Let us discover the interior of the building while it still stands. Ground floor hosts a media shop with very expressive shop windows. It used to be just a bookshop at first but later the assortment has been broaden with music and video. Ironically, the shop window dedicated to books was first to be destroyed. Above the bookshop we can find a private apartment where there is something going on. It was once owned by a respectable but stubborn family who refused to move when the building was being turned nonresidential. However, at some point the apartment was occupied by a group of dangerous criminals. Some said that this apartment became the very center of criminal activity in the city. Despite evil intentions of these people, let us hope that nobody was inside the bathroom when it was smashed. Coincidentally, there is a bank office right above the suspicious apartment. It is unclear whether it was a target of the criminals or their own organization. Anyway, it was not them who made the big hole in the floor. Also, there is a courtroom in the attic... ...And a shed on the roof. It is a perfectly ordinary shed, but who knows, maybe someone has been writing music inside of it? And here is some of the furniture used in the building. Model characteristics: 32 x 32 corner modular building. Building comprises 3 stories, an attic and a shed on the roof resulting in an overall height of 45 bricks. Model consists of over 8500 parts. Additional links: Photo album on flickr Building instructions are available on Rebrickable.

MOC - City Bank Town Square Branch

Well, it's been a few weeks and I have another city style building for everyone to cast their eyes on to. I saved some stickered tiles from an earlier version of a City Bank and I thought a new smaller version was called for to sit along the big box hardware store. The idea is to make a large city/town square layout. Keep watching !

    My collection of city MOCs

Hi everyone. Looking at all these amazing MOCs here at Eurobricks i decided to share my own. This is a collection of city MOCs that i designed over the past few years. All of these models are made in Lego Digital Designer, and are presented with pictures rendered using POV-Ray. I didn't make a lot of pictures as i'm sharing LDD files in which the models can be viewed entirely. Most of the buildings have roofs built in separate sections that can be removed (using "connected selection" tool) to see the interiors. Also note that because of the high brick count, that some of this models have, slower computers might have problems with opening those files. That's it for the introduction.. I hope to insipre people with my work just like i get inspired by others. 16. This model is a modified version of the 2014 set 76015, Dock Ock Truck Heist. It was inspired by eurotrash48903 and his own MOD of the set to be 7 wide. I didn't change it quite as much as him, but I did follow his lead in several spot, such as shortening the frame by 2 studs and getting rid of the ridiculously over-sized original wheels. The roof and front have been strengthened and a door added to the rear, as their was none before. Here is the original set: http://www.bricklink...m.asp?S=76015-1 Front view. I strengthened the rods on the front grille / fender, among other things. Rear view showcasing the door and rear fender. Here is a link to the inspiration for this MOD, eurotrash48903 and his thread: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=100384 Here is the 100% build-able model in LDD file format: http://www.mocpages....1411148366m.lxf NOTE: In the LDD file, the model is partially grouped. Those parts are the ones that come in the 76015 Dock Ock Truck Heist set. The UN-grouped parts are the ones that I modded the truck with.
  17. Modifying the Spiderman Doc Ock Truck for City use I can't resist a bargain and in my local supermarket they had the Lego 76015 Doc Ock Truck Heist marked down by 33%. I thought at the very least I could use it as a parts pack. It's a straightforward enough build and has plenty of playability - exploding roofs, catapulted swinging spiderman and a dextrous Doc Ock, but good grief there was no way it was going to fit into my City! The wheels are massive! The rear wheel positioning is bizarre and the whole thing looks obviously like it came from a comic book (I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised by that ) So, I dumped the comically large wheels, reduced the wheel span by three studs by moving the rear wheels away from the very back of the truck and reduced the overall length by two. I reworked the front end to give it a more modern feel and tweaked the color scheme. I lost the exploding roof function and cleaned up the roof line. Here's a comparison of the original wheel base and those clownish wheels to this new version One final shot So, what's the point of this post? I suppose it's seek out bargains and modify them to suit your needs. I know I'll be looking for other vehicles to mod - after I've turned this one into a 7-wide one. Edit: I reworked the front end to make it less blocky, turned the back shell of the truck into 7-wide by using jumper plates. I also increased the overall height by 1 plate and cleaned up the roof line.

MOD: City Bank & Cash Transfer 3661

Hello all, Here is my modification of 3661. I started out wanting to turn it into a modular building and got rather carried away, so it is a corner modular 32 x 32. Hope you like it, and more pics available on my flickr page (link in my signature) Overall shot The top floor is the manager's office, with the bank vault next to it, of course with the key pad so only employees can enter. As you can see, lots of goodies in the vault. (Unfortunately i'm still waiting for the dark blue tiles to go on the floor) And all the floors. More pics on my flickr account (link below) and comments welcome

    Bank & Money Transfer - 3661 MOD

This building (originally set #3661, Bank & money Transfer) now has a rear staircase and a hinge like in Medieval Market Village. The rear of the model contains a water cooler on the first floor, (with a neat cup dispenser trick) stairs to the upper level, and a expanded Vault on the second story. Also, the skylight has been moved to the rear roof and it does not open anymore. The front section contains nearly the same components as the original set. The first floor has a non-break-away ATM , desk, waiting area, and sorting tray for packages, while the second story contains the entrance to the Bank vault. Here is the outside of the bank. (front view) I added a new rear to the building, something the original model was severely lacking. (The pin is for the hole in the sides opposite the hinge, it keeps the building closed when you want it to be.) The interior of the model. I especially like the cup dispenser on the water cooler. This Bank model will look nice next door to the upcoming CREATOR set #31026, (Cafe & Bike Shop) wouldn't you say? LDD file for the Bank MOD: http://www.mocpages....1397074788m.lxf Comments, questions, & complaints welcome!
  20. Hello, how are you? I'm going to tell you something, the past Metropolitan bank was a disaster because I ran out bricks in the half of the 2nd floor. so I've destroyed it the images of the 1st floor those where the images But I've built a new bank in a 16X32 baseplate and the bricks didn't ended I only have to take and upload the images
  21. This is my first time to do an MOC modular building, and it is a chance for me to put my profession into practice in the brick city! (I am working as an architect) There is still a lot of room for improvement and detail refinement, but at least the basic shape is all here. Yes, this is a bank, the Lego Bank of the Golden Scorpion. Finally, the Lego citizens can get their money here for shopping at the Grand Emporium and watching movies at the Palace Cinema! And yes, finally my street is starting to look different than the others! Overall view, the workers are cleaning up the place and preparing to get off work... The main entrance has two doors, left and right, separated by a little pond. The middle fountain is a mushroom jet, and water at the entrance? It is all about feng shui! (in Chinese feng shui, flowing water means money!) The front elevation is decorated with a lot of golden pieces, and the scorpion logo is right there too. It has a golden and silver on its left and right sides respectively, symbolizing trading and monetary matters. Let's talk a look at the first floor. Instead of making the whole floor removable, I retain the front facade of the 1st floor to the G/F, as a little test to see if this section cut is more useful or interesting... G/F . Basic Services (card return, passbook check, ATM, appointment booking...) The ground floor has a small counter for some basic and easy services. A guard is at the door, while you can see the ATM on the left. On the right is a lift to other floors, and it is a bubble lift! (glass lift) Another angle of the floor. A staff is handing a new credit card to the client... Let's have a ride on the lift to the next floor! 1/F Bank Vault The bank vault storing the most valuable things is located on the 1st floor. Today some green money cases are delivered and a staff is watching. Well, sounds like there are enough gold bars to buy the new Lone Ranger Lego sets coming this summer! 2/F Premium / Advance Services The topmost floor is for advance banking services, where you can find a bigger counter (I should put more staff in). The table on the left allows customers to talk to staff on more serious matters like setting up new accounts, insurance policies or getting more information on new saving plans. There are also seats for customers to wait during busy hours. Another angle. The call button of the lift is not on the wall but on a pedestal. This guy at the counter is taking out quite some money from his account! There is nothing on the roof for security reasons. You know people can go to another building from one roof to another in the modular building series, right? It is too easy! So here, there is nothing but a roof with security wire beneath. There is a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) machine but again, it is well secured with alarm system linked to the police station. I guess the crooks cannot get into this bank that easy like in the set 3661! Here is what it is like to be next to the Town Hall! :) Oh, the money transport truck has just arrived! Hope you enjoy it! The bank starts running this Monday! Thanks!

  23. This is my first posting of my MOC. Tried to build a modular bank (modded from bank transfer set) and a train station(modded from 7997). Did some research on this forum and internet and madey bricks purchases to get started. As this is my first attempt to MOC a modular building, do feel free to give me your comments.
