    [M - C04] The Awakening

Location: C04 Aeristus Tags: Civil building, spaceship Urgh… wha…? Sal? You’re awake? Wha…? Long? Where… what…? What happened? You caught Marphacian Swamp Fever and nearly died. We’re in a Kawashita hospital on Aeristus – they were the only ones with the expertise to save you. Ugh… I feel terrible. Last thing I remember was taking my experimental GATE-cloak ship for a test flight. Yes, you passed out during the flight. We tried to treat you, but the fever was too advanced. You’ve racked up a considerable medical bill over the time you’ve been here. How long has it been? A week or so? Almost exactly four months. WHAT?! Your executive health insurance covers you for the first three days, of course, but… FOUR MONTHS?! That’s not possible! Wait… I’ve been here for four months? And I’ve been here the whole time? I haven’t been seen anywhere else? What? Of course not, how could you- Four months would make it Oktobrinali… they must have already started… but if I haven’t been seen, then… they must have found him… but then… Long, quickly, who knows I’m here? What are you talking about? WHO KNOWS I’M HERE??? Just me and the Council. Maxximus believed it would be embarrassing if it became known that we had to rely on Kawashita to save you. Well, that’s something. I suppose if they knew where I was I’d already be dead. If who knew? …SPIDER? Ye-, I mean… who? Damn it Sal, don’t play dumb with me. I know you know about SPIDER. Tell me what it is. What do you know? Nothing. All I can come across is cryptic references to webs all over the place. Ever since SpacerSteve and Hawk went missing, the Council doesn’t trust anyone – they won’t tell me anything. If they’re missing then they’ve put the plans into motion… and if they found him then they have everything they need… Long, you’re sure I haven’t been seen anywhere since I fell ill? No. How could you possibly... wait... You can’t have… it's impossible, not to mention completely unethical... but it would explain the doubled productivity… What? Sal… did you… did you clone yourself?? What?! How did you know that?! Of course! Ever since your productivity suddenly doubled I’ve been wondering how you did it. It all makes sense now. But… how? And why? Project Lambda. The employee weaponisation project? No, that was just the part of it the Council knew about. The real aim of Project Lambda was to create an army of enhanced, obedient clones for SPIDER. What?! That’s what all my research has really been about. Awesomnium extract for growth acceleration, the persuadomatic for brainwashing, the employee weaponisation, the advanced weaponry. But when I finally almost perfected the process and created the first clone, I realised that I’d become expendable. After all, if SPIDER had an almost perfect and completely obedient clone of me, why would they need actual me? So I kept my success secret from them, and have been stalling them ever since. But when I got ill, my clone should have covered for me. If he didn’t, it means SPIDER must have found him. And if they found him, they’re finally ready. This is insane… we need to tell SpacerSteve about this when he gets here. WHAT?! I thought you said he was missing?! No, he reappeared a while back. I sent him a message as soon as you woke up and- We need to leave. Now! What? Come on! Do you have a ship here? No, but your stealth ship was brought here with you. But Sal- Even better! Let's go! Sal- Come on, there’s no time! Sal- What?! Maybe you should put some clothes on first. ---- Later: This ship is hideous. Hey, I never got to finish it! And it may not be much to look at, but with the GATE-cloak it's completely undetectable... in theory... Sal... What did you mean when you said your clone is almost perfect? Ah, yeah. The awesomnium serum worked perfectly for temporary growth acceleration, except for the hair. For some reason, his hair growth seems to be permanently accelerated... Damn it. ---- Thanks for reading! C&C welcome! Finally, all is revealed! As you may be able to tell, I've been working on this story for a loooong time (although SPIDER was not my idea, and was worked into it later). A pic of the whole build and the ship in the spoiler.

    [M - C04] Mission M1C04

Location: C04 Aeristus Tags: My important underwater mission for M-Tron continues. Today I’m looking for- You’re not in M-Tron. Yes I am! M-Tron doesn’t exist any more. AFFIRMATIVE. What?... I… Yet another thing you’ve screwed up. Leave me alone! I’ll hide in that patch of seaweed. I’ll be safe there. His condition is improving now. How long before he wakes up? Perhaps a few more weeks. You can talk to him if you’d like. On some level, he may be able to hear the people around him. What… Who’s there? Me. Johnson! I told you it wasn’t safe. We all told you it wasn’t safe. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah! There’s no escape from the web, Sal. You’ve made a lot of enemies in this galaxy, and you have no friends to help you. Some friends are always with you. An epic sword fight ensued. This post is dedicated to Gnewal Gwevus.

    [M - C04] Patient Record L8C04

Location: C04 Aeristus Tags: Patient Record: L8C04 Patient Number: 8224(M) Facility: The Narbilu Exotic Diseases Centre, Aeristus Leading Practitioner: Dr Ando 2318h 10 Junali 3816 Patient transferred from M.A.N.T.I.S. facility in critical condition with advanced case of Marphacian Swamp Fever. Emergency treatment begun immediately. 0430h 11 Junali 3816 Patient stabilised for now after hours on the verge of death. We’re all experienced with Marphacian Swamp Fever; indeed Kawashita built the Exotic Diseases Centre on Aeristus primarily to treat the personnel stationed on Marphacia. But none of us have seen a case this bad since those terrible first weeks before we developed the treatments. Hopefully the patient will survive until morning. There’s nothing more we can do for now. 1021h 11 Junali 3816 Condition stable. 1347h 23 Junali 3816 Patient beginning to show signs of recovery after almost two weeks with no improvement. Nurses report he began vocalising this morning, which indicates the hallucination stage of recovery is starting. 1819h 26 Junali 3816 Patient’s hallucinations appear to be fairly mild, which may be a good sign, or may just reflect how little energy he has after weeks of suffering. According to nurses, he mostly mumbles incoherently about webs and spiders. 0700h 30 Junali 3816 No change in condition. 1553h 05 Julali 3816 No change in condition. Fever shows no sign of breaking. Patient continues to ramble about spider webs. 0246h 10 Julali 3816 Patient’s condition has deteriorated during the night. Fever has worsened. Patient became extremely distressed and appeared to believe he was being eaten alive as part of a giant plate of ‘larvae salad’. Is alternately terrified about being eaten and furious about salad leaves ‘ruining perfectly good larvae’. Became so violent that he had to be heavily sedated. Thanks for reading! C&C welcome!

    [K-C04] Stupid Rope

TAGS: Spying, Special Operations, Military (did I do this right?) Secret Meeting Site Aeristus - 3185 A meeting was underway, a secret meeting involving leaders of three regional powers. The Dust Demons had sent Richter Jones, an unpronounceable-named local alien species had sent an unpronounceable-named representative, and MANTIS's own disgraced General Silas Moxon had also appeared. MANTIS PR claimed that General Moxon's forces were "disavowed" but that just meant HQ had plausible deniability for anything they got up to. Whatever it was, with these characters all together in one place... it couldn't be good. All had brought bodyguards except the alien, to whom it never occurred. His was a trusting species. Earlier that week, Koro had received a call from another Kawashita Operator. These calls had long been pretty rare, but first Raven and now... Beltar? "Beltar, you miscreant, you owe me money." "I do not. Anyway, there's this meeting I think we should "attend" but it's a job for two. Interested? "When do we start?" Of course, Beltar didn't mention that they'd be traipsing through air-ducts for two hours trying to locate the right conference room. These luxury ships had a dozen of them, of course. And they were forced to check every one! "You know, this wouldn't take so long if you weren't lugging around all that stupid rope." "S-stupid... rope? Stupid rope? This is why we never do jobs together, Koro. You think just because you like falling off things that you don't need rope. Stupid people think rope is stupid." "I'm gonna hang you from your feet with that stupid rope. Give you something to think about. "You just try it!" "Oh now it's on, Beltar!" "You're getting your stupid white hair in my face! Ugh!" "Get this stupid rope out of my way! Where's your wallet at, Beltar? I'm gonna take that money you owe me." "Wait, wait.. you hear that?" "You're right... we're making too much noise. We better---!" Their scuffle had jostled the duct from its supports and sent them crashing through the ceiling of a conference room that just happened to be the right one. That's when the spying mission turned into a pretty one-sided shootout as Koro and Beltar rained unsuspecting, ridiculous death upon their unprepared enemies. "Ha! Stupid rope my butt, Koro!" "Okay, yes. That worked out pretty good." "Hey, hey... we're pretty good." "Yes we are." End. Builder's Note: This scene is an obvious homage to a famous "rope scene" in the cult classic film The Boondock Saints. If you haven't seen it, google the clip in all its glory. Fair warning, it's vulgar and violent!

    [K - C04] Mad Max XIII cosplay

Location: Aeristus – C04 Tags: Kawashita, Driver Lab Journal – 14 Junali 3815 While Lazlowe was extracting samples on Aeristus I noticed something peculiar. There was a small patch of desert in an otherwise very green (and dense!) forest. It looked just like the set for my favorite movie off all time, Mad Max XIII: Rockatansky lives! Could this be the actual place we the shooting took place? I just could not let this opportunity pass! Lab Journal – 15 Junali 3815 Preparations are complete, my cosplay vehicles are tested and ready. Research will have to wait. Personal Journal – 19 Junali 3815 Finally arrived on Aeristus with an UberCab™. Such slowpokes. At least I can go back with the Madam. Personal Journal – 20 Junali 3815 The photoshoot was a great success! Spoiler tag for the non story parts: C&C is always welcome!
  6. Location: C04 - Aeristus Tags: Building, Military, Science, Civil To establish a presence on Aeristus M.A.N.T.I.S explorers were dispatched to the surface. They discovered that the sub soil on is ideal for soycabbage crops. The crops need to be protected from the atmosphere in order to thrive. A small team of soldiers and engineers were sent to clear an area of grasses covering a rich plot and build a greenhouse. A military presence and defenses are required to ensure the horticulture teams' safety. Shot without the greenhouse dome with a view of the soycabbages. - D
  7. Location: C04 - Aeristus Tags: Vehicle Voice Log of Mister S: "I was correct to be suspicious of the ease with which we captured Tom and Anna. At Aeristus, I had re-boarded the Kameko as orders had come in to move to another planet but the Kameko never left Aeristus, at least not with Kara and me on board... I was in my spacious new garage on the Kameko, working on an upgrade for an old KG-T300, when the sick Mantis agent we had captured along with Tom and Anna evidently broke out of quarantine. Seems that the Kameko's security systems were equipped to counter every possible threat except this one. Makes me wonder if when Mantis had planned this attack, they had first hand knowledge of all the Kameko's security systems and protocols. I immediately became suspicious that Wilhelm had leaked Mantis the intel but then realized that he had never had access to that level of clearance. Had to be someone high up in the ranks... and now that I think about it, it seems illogical. Anyway, I was in my garage when the alarms went off. Of course, as I knew how technologically advance the Kameko was, I dismissed them as simply a drill. That is until Kara came charging yelling at me to get in the T300 I must have froze in puzzlement as she ran behind me and pushed me to one of the T300's hatches. No sooner had I climbed in, the door through which Kara had just entered was ripped apart and a huge glowing, green, monster jammed itself through the opening. I say monster, because I have no idea what else to call it. Lucky for us, it got stuck in the doorway and Kara took several shots at it. This however seemed to do little more than infuriate it to the point that it grabbed a nearby shuttle trike that we used to get around the ship and flung it at us trailer and all. By this point I had helped Kara into the T300 and had its systems online, so I rotated the turret at the monster and opened fire. It exploded into a million globs of green goo. I was about to turn to Kara, a triumphant grin on my face when the incoming red dots on the targeting monitor caught my eye. Kara screamed into my ear telling me to drive to the nearest hangar bay.” More pics in spoiler:
  8. Location: C04 - Aeristus Tags: Vehicle Voice Log of Mister S: "We finally caught up to Tom and Anna on Aeristus. Finding them was easier than we expected as they came to us in a failed attempt to sabotage one of the facilities we were building in cooperation with ALIEN at our joint colony of Tchalinko which was built at the center of a dense forest. As our shuttle bay was in the grasslands, occasionally some of our agents would get lost trying to get there. Something doesn't sit well with me though. I find it strange that they would both personally carry out an attack on such an insignificant target. Also, the two didn't seem very upset about being caught but smirked as they were led to the transport vehicle that I used to haul them to the shuttle bay to be transported to the Kameko until the Galactic Council picks them up for their trial. However, they are now safely secured aboard the Kameko, so I expect whatever they are planning has to do with the Galactic Council itself. On the other hand, their minion that we captured along with them does not look so good and is in quarantine. He seems to be mutating. The scientists examining him say they have never encountered anything like this before.” More pics on flickr.

    [K -C04] Hover Hunting

Location: C04 Aeristus Tags: Exploration Mission Log: Entry 11 ~ That new shuttle that Narbilu gave me is absolutely wonderful! Within minutes of my deployment, I was able to locate the stolen shuttle using the advanced tracking devices aboard the Mk.VI. It was apparently situated on a planet known as Aeristus. I headed there as fast as I could, determined to find the thief and bring him into custody. However, when I arrived on Aeristus, I found that its surface was covered in dense foliage and trees, making it impossible for the shuttle to land without getting trapped between the trunks. I therefore turned to my secondary mode of transport. Leaving my robot co-pilot to pilot the shuttle, I pressed the big red button which deployed one of Kawashita's newest inventions, the hoverboard. As long as I kept my balance, I'd be fine! (easier said than done!) Now to locate that pesky alien.... Figless: [ C&C appreciated! ]

Commander Turtle has requested our assistance on Aeristus. Captain Voss: Hmm. Well we're in range and our current mission is not critical. Is your team ready for combat? Aera Lure: They are, sir. Captain Voss: Very well then. Aeristus it is! Get your pilots ready. Aera Lure: Yes sir! Murasame briefing room Aera Lure: You have all exceeded expectations in the training runs at The Fascini Cluster and have scored the highest among the other officers. You'll now be a member of my flight. Darek Tallus: Yes sir! Kari Sweet: Yes sir! Rei Kazama: [ yes sir! ] Aera Lure: ... Aera Lure: Ensign, why are you wearing your helmet to the briefing? Rei Kazama: [ The Shōkaku hit some pretty high Gs at Fascini so I thought I'd tighten my helmet strap, but now I can't get it off! Sir. ] Aera Lure: ... Aera Lure: What about your visor? Rei Kazama: [ Well, about that... ] Aera Lure: Ok, never mind, Ensign. Carry on! Rei Kazama: [ Yes sir! ] Kawashita KS-47 Shōkaku (翔鶴, “Flying Crane”) :: Aera's Diary :: 13 Julali 3815 1232 hours Having just completed a training mission in The Fascini Cluster, we were called in at the last minute to Aeristus to support the fighting there. The Murasame came into low orbit and I took my newly formed team on a flight patrol in the Shōkaku we used among the asteroids. M.A.N.T.I.S. is a tough opponent, so I hope they're ready. The Shōkaku's superior maneuverability may give them the edge they need. :: Technical Notes :: The Kawashita KS-47 Shōkaku (翔鶴, “Flying Crane”) is a long serving fighter in the Kawashita fleet. Originally meant as a replacement to the Flying Crane, the Kawashita KS-78 Reppū (烈風, "Strong Gale") developed instead into a heavier armed strike fighter. While the Strong Gale boasts more firepower and tougher armor, the Flying Crane still has the edge in maneuverability and is favored by some veteran pilots for one-on-one combat. The Flying Crane can still be seen on the front lines in most Kawashita air superiority missions. There is a rumor that a true successor to the Flying Crane is in development, but most consider it unlikely.

    [M - C04] Experiment L2C04

Unfortunately I didn't have any time to build last week, so this week's build is a special double length episode. Hope it's not too much! Location: C04 Tags: Civil, Science, Building. Interrogation Room 1, M.A.N.T.I.S. Supply Ship, Sorn orbit, 6 Julali 3815. …and then I swam all the way back to M.A.N.T.I.S. territory! Very impressive! Chief Accountant Long! Come to hear about my heroic escape from Kawashita captivity? I’m afraid I just finished my debriefing… I’ll read the report of your little vacation later Sal. I’m here to give you your next assignment. Vacation?! I was brutally tortured! M.A.N.T.I.S. Employee Handbook Chapter 3 Section 12 Subsection 14 Line 6 clearly states that time spent in enemy captivity comes out of your holiday entitlement. WHAT?? It encourages a speedy escape. Anyway, enough chitchat. I’ve noticed that we’re currently spending over 0.0000001% of the budget on daily anti-histamines for employee hay fever. This is an unacceptable inefficiency and I want it fixed by next week. You want me to cure hay fever? In a week?? Yes. Though by the time you get to Aeristus you’ll have five days. Your ship is waiting. But… Excerpt from the lab book of Big Sal: Experiment Code: L2C04. Laboratory: Laboratory Outpost 2, Aeristus. Lead Scientist: Big Sal. Aim: Find a permanent cure for hay fever. You do not suffer from hay fever. You have never suffered from hay fever. You especially don’t suffer from hay fever today. I completely agree! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! What’s happening to me! I don’t suffer from hay fever! I've never suffered from hay fever! I especially don't suffer from hay fever today! Shhhhh! That’s Long’s ship landing! I’ll have to go up and meet her… but maybe if I leave the Persuadomatic on I can convince her I’ve found a cure… Treatment outcome: Failure. Excerpt ends. Chief Accountant Long! How lovely to see you! Right this way! Is that the Persuadomatic? Why yes it is! A wonderful invention of mine, wouldn’t you agree? Yes, it’s actually very impressive... Praise! I think it’s working! ...of course, as soon as I heard that it actually worked I took the antidote. Damn it! Now, I believe you were going to demonstrate the hay fever cure? Um… yes. The subjects are outside in the grass and you’ll see that they’re completely cured. Voila! They’re all wearing helmets. Helmets are even more expensive than anti histamines Sal, this better not be your idea of a cure. Hahaha… uh, no, of course not! It’s just, uh, the berries from that tree are quite heavy and if they fall, well… as you know, employee health and safety is my number one priority! Yes. Helmets off please. You see? Cured! Hmmm, good work Sal. Achoo! Damn it! Goodbye Sal. You’re to stay here on Aeristus until you’ve found a cure. But… Phew! Comments and criticism welcome! A couple more pics in the spoiler.

    [K - C04] The Cricket

Location: Aeristus – C04 Tags: Kawashita, Driver, Science Lab Journal – 6 Junali 3815 According to reports from our early scouts there exists a plant species on Aeristus that shows very interesting abilities. The one I am interested in is thermal (and visual!) camouflage. If I would have to take a bet I would say that their cells contain a compound similar to the ore. If I could get a sample I could figure out just how they activate this amazing property of the compound. Lab Journal – 8 Junali 3815 The research is keeping me busy and it would probably be some days before I can set out to collect the samples. I fear that by then M.A.N.T.I.S. will have taken notice of our actions and sample collecting will be impossible. I will have to construct a biomass extractor and send Lazlowe to collect samples. Lab Journal – 12 Junali 3815 Biomass extractor is finally complete. It is a bit bulky, I hope that the Madam will not be overtaxed. After final tests Lazlowe will depart for Aeristus. Lab Journal – 12 Junali 3815 – addendum Like before, while I wait for Lazlowe to return I commit the specs of my latest creation to the database.

Location: Aeristus Tags: Kawashita, Aeristus, Airplane, Military Narbilu: Commander, welcome back to Orinshi. I’ll be heading out to Mynderis with Koro and the Terrestrials, but we have a situation at Aeristus. Commander Turtle: Yes, Sir? Narbilu: The Eastern continental shoreline is exposed, and we need someone to fly recon there. We have a Sky Eye ready to go with a specialist from the Engineering Network, but we need a pilot to fly it. Who do we have available there? Comander Turtle: The only pilot we currently have is, umm, Blackhawk, Sir. Narbilu: Oh. Really? What about Jycho Tyrus or Aera Lure? Comander Turtle: Jycho is inspecting water filtration facilities on the planet, and Aera is flying a combat air patrol. Would you like me to re-assign her? Narbilu: Hmmm… No, the patrol is too important. We can’t spare Aera. Comander Turtle: Well, Colonel Brik is due back here soon. If we push it, we can send him to Aeristus, although he probably won’t be too happy about it, and it’ll still take some time. Narbilu: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm… No, we need to get this going soon. The shoreline is too vulnerable to leave for long. Comander Turtle: Well, Sir, Blackhawk may be a bit overeager and accident prone, but he can handle a ship. He shot down two fighters and a transport on Sorn, and on Marphacia he bagged a recon unit. He should be fine once he’s in a cockpit. Narbilu: Okay. Send Blackhawk up. (shudder) Comander Turtle: I… understand, Sir… Woo hoo! The brass has an important mission, and I’M the one they picked to fly it! It goes to show how much confidence they have in my abilities! Let’s get this show in the air! So, this time it’s a Sky Eye, an AWAC and electronic warfare platform. Hey, at least it has missiles (who says EW planes have to be unarmed?). Got a systems specialist names Bard with me. He’s from the Broader Engineering Network of New Yelsian (also known as BENNY). Hope he can handle my moves! Looks like we found a bogey! Could be MANTIS. Oh, well, no time to worry about that. Fox two!!! Oh, and by the way, I think I managed to get through to the techs my… concerns. I shouldn’t have any problems with them again… So, this build started with me looking at one of the big dishes and wondering how I could use it... and I came up with the idea of an Airborne Warning And Control platform. I like the idea of arming it, as everyone expects EW planes to be unarmed... C & C's welcome and appreciated. Any ideas on how to improve would be gladly considered!

Red-1, please watch the orbit and altitude. Red-2, please keep tabs on the communications. Our employees are working hard to establish a network on this planet. The rest of you, please keep this old hulk of a ship airborne. I appreciate your hard work. It seems we have things well at hand, I am going to check in with HQ, the rest of you can take a short break, just make sure you don't get to crazy. I know it upsets you we have to hot bunk, but the best I could do is the three beds. Just keep the snoring to a minimum, please. Things seem pretty secure, make sure to send a prob out and get some outside shots of the ship, we plowed through some meteor fragments getting here and I am worried we may have knock a brick or two loose. The ship seems secure, little wear and tear but flyable. Let's finish up here and get this bird back to Orinshi. I have plans for something bigger and better than this old boat.

    [K-C04] High Treason

Site 51 Aeristus - 3185 In the initial flyover, Koro surveyed the lay of the land. He could see the bizarre... void... where an ancient awesomniumgenerator from a vanished and ancient civilization had once stood. Koro was tasked to track MANTIS movements after a (short) time recovering and adjusting to his new prosthetics. But he had never expected to find this. He'd read the report Aeralure and Operative Q had filed about the lab they'd discovered underwater on Sorn. Everything in their description, especially the weird tile pattern marking the terrain, checked out with what he was seeing. He had to conclude that MANTIS was studying the site, trying to figure out how an ancient alien generator had disappeared on one planet and appeared several sectors away, on an entirely different planet. Koro didn't like thinking about the implications. Quantum Physics made his robot brain need beer. He landed the Zero mk II "Less Than Zero" a distance away from the MANTIS base and decloaked it. He could only keep it cloaked for short periods of time, and thankfully he'd been able to avoid any MANTIS patrols thus far. He could see their patrol fighters and heavy-duty ATVs crawling over the place, appropriately insect-like. He emerged from the LTZ in his brand-spanking-new Spy Suit and decided it fit pretty good and probably made him look cool, too. "Hey Narbilu-sama... thanks for the new threads. I look awesome." "Koro! Have you reached Aeristus?" "Of course!" "Then never mind how you look. Those credits weren't spent to make you look amazing and heroic like some kind of super space ninja. They were spent so you could get a closer look without MANTIS knowing." "Right. Gomen nasai! I'll get right on it, Narbilu-sama." Koro focused the Spy-Eye in his suit's sweet ninja hood, and zeroed in on the far away MANTIS landing pad. He noticed the Type 8 Aphid gunship... he noticed the two heavily armed MANTIS troopers... he noticed Wilhelm handing something to some MANTIS guy he'd never seen before... "WAIT WHAT!?" "What is it, Koro?" "I think I found Wilhelm, sir. He's... he's handing off a data packet to a MANTIS agent." "Well. That explains some of the security leaks we've had lately." "But this means he's betrayed us, Narbilu-sama." "Koro, don't get distracted from your mission." "But... honor demands that I---" "Wilhelm's day will come." "Sigh..." "Find out what you can about the Site and whatever MANTIS is learning. Then get out of there." "I could cut his head off and no one would know..." "Koro..." "Sigh... okay, okay. Wilhelm's day will come. Koro out." Builder's Note: So I hope the subject matter of this build doesn't step on any toes, but I felt like it was appropriate to not forget about Wilhelm as a character in spite of his player's... switch in loyalties. To have him as a traitor to Kawashita makes the most sense, but I'm leaving his fate open-ended until it's clear what Goliath's intentions are for him (if he has any, that is). In any case, Kawashita has to respond to a defection as being essentially a double-cross due to the sensitive information a defector has access to. Because this is a game, there are no hard feelings, but it does present an interesting opportunity for some solid RP drama and this build/story is simply an attempt to capitalize on that in the spirit of the game. Hopefully there are no objections to this. Thanks for looking!
