  1. Somewhere among the shores of Avalonia... A rider sent from General Aeldric of Vanhorn races the soldiers of The Spire to send word to Albion and the surrounding reaches word of the True King's return, the True Heir to Cedrica! The Orcs of the coastal regions have always bore crude weapons and armor. Not nearly on level of that of Soldiers directly from The Spire. The rider must be diligent, swift, and unrelenting on his horse, for the forces of Ravaage do not falter. (Welp, this is my Category A (Riders of Historica) Entry! It's Alliance side. CC Welcome!)
  2. Previous Chapter: Vampire Slayer --- Next Chapter: ??? "Then there is no changing the fact that you disobeyed your Captain. Is this not true, Aeldric?" Chamal Chairal asked with an authoritative voice. ((Sorry about the quality of this picture )) "Before i ask, i have a question for you, Chairman Chaman Chairal," Aeldric said back. "And what would that be?" Chamal said, leaning forward in his chair. "Where is Wizard Vorthentus? Why are you in his place?" Aeldric asked. A great silence fell about the room, ominously calming the floating stones around the Aegis realm. Chamal sighed before opening his mouth to speak. "Vorthentus has set out to stop a great force but has not returned. We fear he has died." the Chairman replied. A heavy face blew across Feowind. "Now, do you deny?" Chamal said, returning to the previous inquiry. "I do not. But, i set out to avenge a great elf. Aurthal was a powerful shaman of nature, and i slew the Vampire that killed him, and in turn avenged his soul so he could rest." Aeldric confessed. "Then you deliberately denied Avdar's orders?" Chamal said. "...Yes. I am guilty." Aeldric said. "Then, you are to be revoked of your title, and you shall be stripped of your strength, and never be allowed the presence of the Aegis Council again." Just then, a green-robed man stepped through the Aegis portal, carrying a white letter with the seal of Albion on it. "I have a letter from De'Gothia of Albion, sires." the man said, bowing, and holding out the letter. "Do you realise you are interrupting a council session, messenger?" Avdar asked the man. "Yes, but this letter is of more importance to the council than any of you here." the man boldly said. "Let me see it," Chamal said, standing up. The man handed him the letter, and Chamal unrolled it. "I have heard the news that Aeldric of the Rangers of Avalonia has slain a powerful Vampire of Nocturnus, and has avenged the powerful shaman Aurthal. This act of his has proved him brave and courageous, and I grant him the position of Captain of the Rangers of Avalonia. He has shown his strength, and i grant him the authority over Avdar's force of Rangers." ~De'Gothia of Albion Avdar stood up in a rage. "de Gothia thinks he can revoke my title?!" he shouted. Chairman Chamal stood up over him, with a foreboding appearance. "The Leader of Avalonia has Spoken, and his will shall be done. You, Avdar, are to be revoked of your title, and replaced by Aeldric." ------------ Alright guys! I've finally uploaded and finished the build! This is part 1 of the end of Aeldric's story, as his tale will be coming to a close, for reasons i will not explain, because that would spoil the story! Anyways, as usual, CC welcome, and i hope you enjoyed! Also, thanks to de'Gothia for letting me use dialogue for his character in this build!
  3. Previous Chapter: The Kelra --- Next Chapter: Dubbed Captain (Warning, this chapter is long) Aeldric tread carefully and silently through the dark labyrinth. The thought that almost any of your nightmares existed in there lingered quite long in his mind. He took a gulp at each corner, dreading what may be beyond. He crept up to his hundredth corner, and peeked to the hallway. He saw a large figure. A large set of silver armor, with a blue mist emanating from inside it walked slowly with a huge sword dragging on the ground. He stepped on a small twig which snapped, and the armor turned towards Aeldric with a fury. Aeldric had no other choice but to assault it. He ran with the fury of a Minotaur. The possessed armor raised the huge sword with a single arm, which took Aeldric by surprise, and he nearly backed down, but with the resolve of a ranger, he kept on his fury. The armor ran back at him. Aeldric was nearly run over, but he jumped to the wall, and bounced off behind the armor. The suit turned around instantly, and began a heavy swing towards Aeldric. But the armor was not fast enough, for Aeldric had knocked the armor's helmet off with his sword. The helmet dropped to the ground and shattered, and the spirit possessing the armor fled from the suit. Now, to get out of the Kelra. [Later, after exiting the Kelra, and entering Nocturnus, Aeldric enters the large fortress of Axtrous the night lord...] Aeldric stepped forth, upon the grand rug which led to Axtrous' coffin throne. Two orc guards stood by, completely ignoring Aeldric. "I call upon the Night lord." Aeldric said, with a strange confidence. He jumped as the lid to the coffin jerked open as fast as lightning. "What brings you here, Aeldric son of Kaedric?" Axtrous said, with a dark, impending voice. He stood up out of his coffin. "I have come to avenge Aurthal and my family." Aeldric said. "Then let us fight like real men." Axtrous said. Aeldric threw his sword to the side, and rushed towards the vampire. As soon as Aeldric came close enough, Axtrous grabbed him by the neck and leg, and flipped him over himself and into his coffin. Aeldric then stumbled out of the sarcophagus and began a second rush at Axtrous. When he reached Axtrous, Aeldric only relieved a powerful punch to the chest, which sent him flying, and hitting the coffin. After he hit the coffin, Axtrous slowly approached. A black spear formed in his hand, and he prepared to sheath it in Aeldric's corpse. Aeldric quickly grabbed his sword by his side, stood up, and jabbed it up Axtrous' throat. He choked, as blood began to leak out of his skin pores. Aeldric shoved the sword further in, and the head came off, stuck to the blade. He reveled in his victory, and the two orcs fled out the fortress. Aeldric had left a nice present for Lord Raavage to find. ----- Ok guys, sorry about the poor quality of the second build. I really just didn't know what to put in a large throne room. Plus the freebuild is mainly focused on the Kelra. C & C Welcome! P.S. I would have put tiles down, if i had had enough.
  4. Previous Chapter: The Burnt Roads --- Next Chapter: Vampire Slayer Aeldric had left his horse behind, as the vines had begun to entangle it. There was no hope for the poor animal, so Aeldric put it out of it's misery. Aeldric strode cautiously up to a tall entrance to a dark hallway. He'd heard stories of the Kelra, but he had no knowledge of it's impending aura of fear. Thorny vines grew across the battered walls, mutilated frogs and spiders, covered in fungus crawled around just outside the labyrinth. Aeldric forced the aura of dread out of his mind and walked confidently into the dark maze. A frog particularly interested in Aeldric: The remains of a sorry adventurer: The build without minifigs: And the build without vines and animals: --- Here i thought i shouldn't detail the wall too much if i'm just going to cover it with vines, so thus i didn't bother too much with it. I didn't feel too inspired for the terrain, so i just laid out some dead leaves and such. C & C Welcome!
  5. Previous Chapter: Voraal leaves Avalonia --- Next Chapter: The Kelra And thus Aeldric was off to Nocturnus, to avenge not only Aurthal, but his family as well. He crossed many ruins of times' past. He wondered what structures many of them served as. He passed a few dead looking vines that seemed to reach out towards him. He looked far off into the distance, and saw the ominous and towering Rakath Mountains. He knew he would have to pass through the Kelra Labyrinths to get to Axtrous' dwelling, but he had confidence. --- So guys, i'm not sure how i should present Aeldric's journey through the Labyrinth, perhaps some of you Nocties could give me some insight. Anyways, C&C are welcome.
  6. Previous Chapter: Rest in the Tavern --- Next Chapter: Voraal leaves Avalonia Aeldric walked up the steep steps into the Aegis realm. The shift to the dimension was seamless. It felt like walking into a room. Three heroic looking people sat at a round table with a compass in the middle. In the center, sat an elf dressed in a long gray robe. To the elf wizard's right, sat Avdar, the leader of the Rangers of Avalonia. To the elf's left, sat a fairly old looking fellow, dressed in a green tunic. "Aeldric has arrived, Vorthentus." Avdar said to the elf wizard. "Ah, i've heard much about you, Aeldric." said Feowind, the hunter. "Tell us why you are here, Aeldric." said Vorthentus, in a calm, but stern voice. "I have come to seek the council of the Warrior, the Wizard, and the Hunter. Avdar represented the Warrior, Vorthentus was reminiscent of the Wizard, and Feowind was the symbol of the Hunter. This was the Council of the Three. "What counseling do you seek?" Vorthentus inquired. "I have found a Nocturnus trespasser in the forests beyond the city of Vanhorn. The trespasser was a vampire, and he fled back to his homeland. He was responsible for slaying my family. I have come to ask if it is wise to chase after him." Aeldric said. The Three pondered this. Avdar spoke first. "This is straying from your duties back in the forests. It would not concern you." he said. "But it does concern me, he took part in the death of my family!" Aeldric revolted. "If you go after him, your ranking will be stripped from you!" Avdar exclaimed. "It was his family, Avdar." Feowind remarked. "Yes, but that does not concern his current profession!" the Warrior and the Hunter argued on, until the wise Wizard stood up from his throne. "Silence!" he exclaimed, as the area darkened with a black cloud. The cloud soon dispersed, and Vorthentus said his part. "It is my choice wether or not he goes." he said to Avdar and Feowind. He turned to Aeldric with apologetic eyes. "I am sorry for their rambling, Aeldric. If you feel this vampire lord deserves a dark fate, then it is your duty to assert your vengeance upon him. Go, travel to Nocturnus, find him, and avenge your family." he said. Aeldric bowed deeply before the council, and walked back into the realm of Historica. Ok guys, here i tried to get a "floating stone bricks" look. Kind of an anti gravity feel, but not completely. I've built a ton of builds over the summer, but haven't been able to post them until now, so if you feel like i am putting out too many builds, that's why. C & C welcome, though there isn't that much to post on. I tried to put tiles around, but as usual, i didn't have enough to cover the whole area. Thanks!
  7. Previous Chapter: The Chambers of the Nightlord --- Next Chapter: The Aegis Council Aeldric and Voraal dropped themselves off in the tavern in Vanhorn. Aeldric ordered a quart of ale, and Voraal mingled with some guests. "Ah, Ansriff." Voraal said to a man in the corner. "Voraal? It's been so long!" Voraal and Ansriff had been friends for seventeen years. "Yes, it has. I understand you earn your profit from accepting tasks from the citizens?" Voraal asked. "Yes, indeed. Do you need me to perform a task for you?" Ansriff asked. "Yes, in fact, i need you to find a woman, black robes, long wavy, black hair. I heard she'd been seen in the forests just outside of town, and with your former ranger skills, i think you'd be able to find her." Voraal requested. "Oh, so it's a love story?" Ansriff joked. "Well, your not exactly wrong... I'll pay you five pounds of silver." Voraal offered. "Deal." they shook hands. "When i find her, i'll report back here." Ansriff said. "Thank you. It was nice seeing you." "You to, Voraal." Voraal strode over to the bar beside Aeldric, who'd drank five bottles of ale. "Who was that queer looking fellow you were talking-" he hick upped "with?" "Ansriff, one of our former rangers." Voraal replied. "Ah, i remember him." the two went on talking. Hey guys, sorry there wasn't a larger picture of the build. Still kinda mainly story here, but i did include a bit more detail than the first Avdar's Office. C & C welcome.
  8. Previous Chapter: Beyond Vanhorn --- Next Chapter: Rest in the Tavern Before the sun dipped behind the horizon, Aurthal stopped Aeldric for a word before they headed off to the Nocturnian chamber. "Aeldric, I have seen your interest in Ashura. I can see that you are interested in no other female. After this task, i will consider your relationship with her." Aeldric was stunned. "I.... I never said i was interested in her." Aurthal gazed deeply into Aeldric's eyes. "No, but i can see it in the way to look at her. Your eyes glint when you glance at her." Aeldric paused for a moment, then broke his silence. "We musn't dwell on this. Let us head into the chamber." Aeldric strode over to the entrance to the underground chamber where Voraal, Ashura, and Anursa were waiting. Aurthal was slow to head there, but once he reached the entrance he began a plan of action. "Okay, we will sneak in through the tunnels, and when we reach the throne room, i will do the speaking. While i talk to the evil lord, Anursa, Ashura and Voraal will sneak into the dungeons in the back and free my friend. Any questions?" everyone shook their heads. "Good, let's head in." The chamber halls were dark, but light filtered in from the throne room. Once they reached the door way, an undead guard pointed the tip of his halberd at Aeldric. The pale looking, dark armored man sitting on the throne in the back of the room spoke up. "What are you doing in my sacred hall?! How did you find it?" he exclaimed. "I was lead here by this elf," Aeldric said, stepping aside Aurthal. "Aurthal?! I thought my guards killed you!" the lord boomed. "So you thought, but it was i, who defeated your guard." Aurthal returned. "Guard, attack him!" by the lord's side stood a dark looking woman, who caught the particular eyes of Voraal. His interest in her nearly removed concentration on sneaking past the guard. Aeldric leaped forward at the necrotic guard, while Aurthal began casting destructive spells at the evil lord. "Your vampirism has made you weak to my fire!" Aurthal remarked. "Yes, but," said the vampire lord, standing up out of his throne. "It also makes me stronger than most." he said, picking up his spear to his right. He charged at Aurthal with a deadly fury. Meanwhile, in the back dungeons... Voraal, Ashura and Anursa infiltrated the dungeon halls, and slew every guard in the vicinity. "Hurry now, before more guards come, unlock the cell door!" Voraal exclaimed. "Alright, give me patience, this takes concentration." Ashura held her staff in front of her, and the green jewel on the tip of her staff began to glow, and the cell door clicked, and swung open. "Taunus, awake!" Ashura said, pulling a sleepy old man out of the cell. "What! Who's there?! Wait, Ashura? Is that you, my, you've grown. I remember you since you were a little toddler!" "Yes, yes, Taunus, skip the memories, we must go!" Ashura commanded. "Alright, it's about time i smelled the fresh air again." Back in the throne room... Aurthal lay on the floor, severely wounded. Axtrous, the vampire lord and Temari the sorceress had fled. Aeldric finished off the last necro-guard, before heading over to Aurthal. Aurthal caughed up a bit of blood. Aeldric pulled the black tip of Actrous' spear out of Aurthal's stomach. ".....Aeldric, you must hunt Axtrous down.....*cough* and..... defeat him. Taunus will help you find Dar, but please, for my sake, kill Axtrous with all your might. He....... was.... one of the..... Necromancers..... who killed..... your family...." Aeldric's eyes widened. "If you complete this quest, i then i give you permission... to marry my sister...." and with that, Aurthal died in Aeldric's arms. ---- Alright guys, so, i tried a different way of story telling this time. Let me know what you think. Also, this is a fairly old build, and was built before the Avdar's Office remake. Constructive Criticism is welcome.
  9. (Sorry that i've been a bit inactive. I've been really busy with school, and it's been hard ot find a time to put this up. More builds on the way, enjoy!) Previous Chapter: Avdar's Office (Remake) --- Next Chapter: Chambers of the Nightlord (And now, Beyond Vanhorn) The forest smelled fresh with the breath of the old trees. A soothing breeze swept through the leaves. Aeldric and Voraal were on their secret patrol through the forest for the elves. They came up to a small ruin. All was quiet, until a duo of female elves leaped out of the thick brush. They held their staves against Aeldric and Voraal. Ashura: "Who are you?" Anursa: "Why are you in our forest?" Aeldric took a moment to gather his thoughts. He glanced at Ashura with eyes of interest. Aeldric: "My friend and I gathered detail about you, a special group of elves, and we came to look for you for answers about Dar Askelohn." Anursa remained quiet. She was rather shy. Ashura glanced at her. Then back to Aeldric. Ashura: "What about Dar?" Aeldric: "We found a tomb with his name engraved upon it. I thought he went missing in the mountains just beyond the border of Mitgardia." Ashura: (left) pondered this. "Our older brother may have some answers to this." Ashura led Aeldric and Voraal deeper into the ruins, and before them sat a male elf on a birch throne, with a green jewel of temperance above it. Ashura: "Bow to him, man." Ashura commanded Aeldric. Aeldric stepped forward, and gave the elf a light bow. He noticed that the throne was wrapped in vines, and overgrown with lush nature. Aurthal: "What do you wish to know about my friend?" the elderly elf asked. Aeldric: "I would wish to know of his whereabouts. We found a tomb in the forest with his name upon it, and i thought he went missing in the north. Aurthal: "He did. There are many false graves of the knowledge master. He does live now, and i can show you to him, but only if you do a favor for me." Aeldric: "What would that be?" he asked, glancing once again at Ashura. She gave him a light nod. Aurthal: "I have been having troubles with a group of necrotic Nocturnians in the forest. They have built a secret underground structure housing another of my friends. He may be able to help you find Dar. You must help us rescue him, and defeat the leader of this group." Aeldric ran his fingers through his hair. He'd never dealt with a group of evil power. He considered it deeply. Aeldric: "Voraal and i will help you defeat this group, in return for knowledge of Dar's whereabouts." Aurthal: "Very well. You will meet us at the entrance tomorrow at dusk. Might i ask why, you need to find Dar?" Aeldric: "I lost my parents a long time ago, to a group of black-hearted necromancers. I know that Dar could help me find this group, and put my revenge upon them." Alright guys, this build was before the remake of Avdar's Office, so those tips didn't apply here. Also, i know there's no base or frame for the build. I just couldn't find a good look for it. Anyways, leave your thoughts!
  10. Previous Chapter: The Tomb of Dar Askelohn --- Next Chapter: Beyond Vanhorn So, i thought about the comments in my previous post in this part of Aeldric's story, So i though i'd remake the scene. Enjoy!) Aeldric: "Sir Avdar," Aeldric said, stepping into the dim-lit office. Avdar: "What is it?" Avdar replied, with an old, gruntish-voice. Aeldric: "Voraal and i came across a small, burnt down cottage deep in the forest. We found a large opening in the flooring, and we went down inside. The secret basement was a large room, full of headstones." Avdar: "And what does this have to do with your patrol?" Aeldric: "Well, one of the tombs had a large plaque on it, which said 'Here lies Dar Askelohn, the knowledge founder.' And didn't Dar Askelohn go missing in the mountains to the north?" Avdar: "Yes, he did. But this does not concern you and your patrols. Now get out before I double your work time." Avdar lashed out. Aeldric stepped outside and into the streets of Albion, where Voraal had been waiting for him. Voraal: "Are we going to go patrol for the elves?" Aeldric gazed out to the dark, cloud covered sky. Aeldric: "Yes, though Avdar won't know." Aeldric and Voraal then head down the street, and to the stables to set back out for Vanhorn. Alright guys, so leave me any thoughts on the build, and if you have any suggestions on the story, please post them! More pics: My first SNOT below:
  11. Next Chapter: The Tomb of Dar Askelohn Aeldric and Voraal usually took a circular patrol around the outskirts of Vanhorn, but this time they decided to take a different route. They traveled straight out west, on an old and forgotten road. They came across an old, ruined, and abandoned house which seemingly belonged to a Citizen of Avalonia. Though it wasn't necessarily abandoned, for the remains off the owner laid in a corner. Voraal peeked down a deep, dark hole in the flooring. He suggested to Aeldric that they explored it, for it seemed deep, and as if it held secrets down below. More Angles Below: The hole in the flooring: And the forests: I tried out a couple of different techniques for mini-trees here. The triple round 1x1 brick, and the dark-brown telescope.
