  1. Has been a while since I last showed some of my creations. I recently did an alternate model for the 42123 set with a special functionality and wondered if something like that could not also be done with the parts from 42093. And this is the result, the MDB attaccabrighe - an Italian fastback with gull-wing doors and a high-powered supercharged I4 engine (currently not fully color correct because of unavailable parts and also still WIP): Now about the special functionality: It's engine is swappable! So far you can use an I3, a V6 and a V8 as replacement engine for the stock I4 engine (all engines also compatible with the AMX 4s). The original I4 of the AMX 4 Turbo and the original V5 of the AMX 4 Biturbo can't be used unmodified in the attaccabrighe though, as it's engine bay is 2 studs narrower than the one of the AMX 4s and the V5 also requires a different crank shaft. The engines are attached to either two axle holes or two pin holes. The attaccabrighe will eventually be made available on Rebrickable and also receive a selection of aftermarket parts (like the ones for the AMX 4s) and maybe also some OEM modifications (e.g. wide rear wheels!) Sports cars like the AMX 4s or the attaccabrighe of course also need an opponent apart from themselves. And there is one car that has enough potential to keep up with them - the MM Hammond Executive. More on that one later, for now just one picture showing a WIP model aside the attaccabrighe:
  2. Hi guys and gals, first post here, been following the forum for about 3 years now. Got bitten by the Technic bug with 42046 and here I am today. Recently bought a 42106 for cheap in Bulgaria and after building 42070 earlier the sloped panels got me thinking - there is a truck hood in this. Sooooo, let's make a truck C-model out of 42106! Full size pictures are located here:https://imgur.com/a/wOlijkp The aim of the C model is to be able to tow trailers like the MACK Anthem's one. M Longer inspired me by his 42075 terminal truck. We'll see if I manage to implement it somehow. The chassis is the same from 42106's pickup truck, then reversed a bit. Track has been widened by 2 studs, fenders made wider as well. The rear has dual tires which for the contest will be swapped with a single one just as the front axle. Currently they are a placeholder and proportions tool... I've seen how long the rules topic is so I had to put this text here... Initially it began as the chassis above, trying to figure where to stick the cab: Then after I figured out its placement came time to adjust where the doors would be. Which happen to be the ramps from the trailer. After some further shaping of the fenders and color swaps until it felt right - I got this below. The blue pins protrude for now as everything was just in sketch phase. Makes it easier to disassemble... Final shot of this for now is this: Further will come soon. I hope this qualifies for the contest as it is almost 17 studs high, please let me know if I can enter. If I can't - I'll continue working on the C model aspect of it. Cheers from Bulgaria! p.s. I am entering this C model in the https://thelegocarblog.com/2020/04/30/tlcb-lock-down-b-model-competition/ The finishing touches and updates were made in May, so I hope it qualifies.
  3. This is alternate model of LEGO Technic set 42106 - Hoonitruck, pickup truck inspired by Ken Block's custom truck. Model use only pieces from set 42106 Stunt Truck and Bike show released 1h 2020. Model has openable rear gate, doors, steering system with a knob behind the cab. You can remove duck tail, some front stufff like bash-bar and tow ring, change rear wheels to narrow ones and get street-legal custom pickup. 3D model or/and full instruction are on my plans list.
