Didn't know where else to share my LEGO workshop/cave so I decided to make a new topic. This is my computer room/AFOL workshop where I design my MOCs, build LEGO sets, and display my work! I use a motorized standing desk I got a few months back, and I haven't used an office chair since. I recommend one to any AFOL, as my neck hasn't been killing me since. The display area is two Ikea shelves pushed together, inside a closet with the doors removed. On top is the boxes for all four current 1:8 Technic Hypercars, as well as the Defender set and my old Mindstorms-powered Lexus LC500 MOC. On the shelves below is the Lamborghini Sian, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 (in many pieces), the Creator Expert cars, some Star Wars sets, my Speed Champions collection (with brick-built car stackers by Brickengineeringdude on Rebrickable), the Technic Audi RS Q E-Tron and Peugeot 9x8, The Office set with my Dwight's Trans Am MOC along with various other sets, and some Minecraft sets I got years ago, connected together into two dioramas. I plan to post updates in this topic with more pictures of my workshop eventually as it grows and things change. The Technic stuff, for instance, will all be pieced apart in about a month so I can start making a new 1:8 scale supercar MOC. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and I'll gladly respond to any comments regarding anything in my workshop I haven't mentioned that you'd like me to show-and-tell.

I believe Steampunk should be posted here? Here's my new MOC, Smith's & co. steamworks: The brothers Smith, specialize in repairing and creating small steam powered engines for airships. On Wednesday 26 October ("Herfstvakantie Zuid"), Sioux Technologies organizes a 2 hour programming workshop in Eindhoven (NL) for kids in the age of 7 and older. In the middle of the roof is a handle where you can easily lift the roof and view the details underneath. The office is the place where Ole Kirk came up with his ideas. In the office there are construction drawings of the house and of the wooden toys like the duck and a bus. The room contains several details such as an old-fashioned phone on the wall and a typewriter on the desk and many more small details to discover. the living room is the please where Ole Kirk can quietly drink a cup of tea while his grandson Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen builds a LEGO rocket with the new prototype parts in the year 1958. There is also a seating area in the living room. the store was the place where Ole Kirk sold his wooden toys like a number of iconic like the fire truck a blue car - truck - locomotive - plane and the wooden duck naturally. I also added an easter egg that refers to the Wooden Minifigure from 2019.

On Tuesday October 15, a free GBC workshop is organized for children in the age of 7 to 14 years old. The workshop is organized by Sioux Technologies to promote science and technique for the next generation. Location is Esp 101, Eindhoven (The Netherlands). Two of the models of Philip Verbeek (PV productions) will be used in the workshop. Philip himself will be there as well as trainer. My latest build matches my passion for motoring culture: it's the MOONEYES headquarters located in Santa Fe Springs, California. MOONEYES was founded by Dean Moon in 1950, the Santa Fe Springs-based hot rod shop was originally titled Moon Speed Equipment. The Moon crew was a prominent group of go-fast pioneers through the ‘50s and ‘60s, working hand in hand with the likes of legends such as Carroll Shelby — in fact, the first AC Cobra was constructed in the Moon garage. Inspired by the Dean Moon’s history I've recreated the MOON HQ, both the interior and the exterior of the building. In the garage there’re a lot of tools: a roller cabinet, a workbench, the pendant lights, a sink, the column drill press and a lot more. Everything in bright yellow of course. Remarkable the American flag hanged on the wall and the electrical outlets and conduits. What about the surfboard displayed on the wall? The exterior is enjoyable and it features many details. The two rolling shutters and the electricity poles are the ones I prefer. To complete the work I've built the well known and famous MOON pick-up, a ’68 Ford F100, and a Hot Rod based on a ’32 Ford model B. More info and pictures on my flickr. Thanks for stopping by.

[MOC] Esso Gas Station 1953

Put a tiger in your tank!* - Part 2 Few days ago I presented the Volkswagen T1 Esso Service that was the first part of my latest MOC. Today I'm happy and proud to show you the second part: a classic Esso gas Station designed in 1953 by Dutch modernist architect Willem Marinus Dudok. My LEGO Dudok Esso gas station has the same features of the real one: an elegant design, a v-shaped roof on both sides, two gas pumps on a dark grey platform, different advertising signs and other stuff. The shop is on the front of the station; a detailed service garage is located at the back. There are a lot of details both outside and inside the building, let's take a look. In the shop you can find a big desk with a vintage phone, a cash register and a architect lamp. A big clock is positioned on the wall close to the shelves where you can see the oil cans and an old radio. Two neon lights and a fan are hung on the ceiling support. The garage at the back features a lot of utensils, advertising signs and other stuff. My VW Type 2 T1 decked up in Esso livery fits perfectly in this scene. Take a look at the Michelin Man (Bibendum)...I love it! The design of Dudok was simple and brilliant simultaneously. According to the mission he received from ESSO Netherlands, the station had to be functional and inexpensive to produce. It was just after World War II and raw materials were scarce. At the same time the road network grew and pumping stations had to be placed anywhere. 112 Dudok Esso stations were placed along the Dutch highways. Below an overview. Below you can see the real Esso station photographed at the National Automobile Museum Collection Louwman (The Netherlands) where was placed in 2004. After building Chenonceau, I was in a bit of a micro mood, and thought it would be fun to try my hand at a micro siege workshop. The whole build is only 8×8, and includes four micro siege weapons: one ballista, two catapults, and one siege tower. Dwarves in Mitgardia have long been masters of creating devastating siege weapons. With new demand for armament to battle the Spire, these Dwarven craftsmen have put their forges to work forging powerful ballistas, catapults, and more. Best Type of Paint for painting lego (on Lego)

Hey peeps. So today I bought a custom clone wars trooper which the seller added many new things too: Weapons, Gear, Capes. And he also painted and colored some of those things including the helmet. I bought one to see how to do it myself (NOT TO SELL) and pimp my troopers and jedis and also cause i wanted to support him. This all looks very nice and certainly adds a fresh look to the clones and other figures he does. I will add a picture. I would follow the tattoo formula. Drawing it on first with removable paint and then trace it. Id love to hear what you guys think. -

The scooter released in 2014 by LEGO (clearly a Vespa) is really cute and it deserved an appropriate repair workshop. Furthermore this year the legendary Vespa turns seventy and this is the right circumstance to pay tribute with a specialized garage. Here it is! The new workshop features many tools and details. Let’s take a look. A workbench, with wrenches and vise, is positioned at the center of the workshop. There are also a mobile roller cabinet, the the oxy-acetylene welder and the column drill press. In the middle there are two lifts to easily work on the Vespa. On the right a red tool cabinet includes many utensils. Two pendant neon lights are hanged on 2 dark bluish gray supports. There are also trophies and helmets all around. I really enjoyed building this Minifig scale workshop and I hope you guys also enjoy this my new brand LEGO diorama. The Scooter shop on flickr. Hello, this Space Tank is a "small class" unit inspired by WWI English tank Mark I. Colors and style are clearly based on LEGO Classic Space series. Named "Blue Bull" due to the stocky shape, it's equipped with a huge long-range gun and with a little gun machine right below the rotating turret. I particularly like the loader's hatch and the details featured both on the turret and the side. The crew is composed by 3 crewmen: the commander, the driver and the gunner. Here the Tank is at the maintenance hangar where the staff is taking care of it after a moon mission. Below the Space Tank in plain sight Even if Classic Space is not my comfort zone of building, and some friends of mine were surprised seeing this new build, I like this theme since I was a little boy. Moreover having in stock a lot of CS pieces pushed me to build the tank and the space hangar. It has been really funny building this MOC and for sure won't be alone for a long time. Hello folks! Few weeks ago I presented my version of the VW T1: the canvas covered pick-up for Volkswagen Service. Now I show you my last MOC, an Oldtimer workshop for Volkswagen "Bulli family". The right place for my T1 (and not only...). Here some pictures: In order to build the internal of the workshop I watched my real garage where I used to spend a lot of time restoring and repairing old motorcycles and bicycles. There are many tools and details in the workshop. [ Last winter I spent many nights to build this workshop and I'm very satisfied with this MOC. [MOC] Vespa Garage | Officina Super Sprint

This year Officina Super Sprint turns twenty and to pay tribute for this important anniversary I built the LEGO model of the “Officina”. Officina Super Sprint is a Vespa specialized workshop. It was founded in 1995 by two friends, one of them is also an AFOL (Adult Fan Of LEGO) known as Norton74…yes, here I am! My new MOC is called “Dream Garage” and follows “Garage Life”, the oldtimer Volkswagen workshop I built and presented last year. “Dream Garage” features many tools and details. Let’s take a look. A wooden workbench, with wrenches and vise, is positioned at the center of the workshop. On the left of the workbench is positioned the sandblaster. Details are everywhere: checkered flags, advertising signs, trophies, extension cords and more… There are also a mobile roller cabinet with four drawers, the air compressor (a little bit hidden, behind the right lift), the oxy-acetylene welder, the electric welder and the column drill press. In the middle there are two hydraulic scissor lifts to easily work on the Vespas. Last but not least the Garage features three Vespas: two Vespa PX and one Vespa T5 (the one with the square front light). I built the Vespa Workshop last winter and now here it is. My town is definitely going down-hill. I've got Bars and Pubs and a Brewery and they're all a bit seedy and run-down. So when I decided to build something with a car-theme I knew it wasn't going to be an antiseptic showroom stuffed full of expensive cars. What my town needed was a Repair Shop where for a cheap price the unqualified mechanics will do their best to get you back on the road. It's based very loosely on a real building here in Missouri that burnt down in mysterious circumstances a couple of years ago. Who knows maybe with this MOC I've solved the mystery. There's a tumble-down old fence and a junk yard dog. The facade of the main building is crumbling and there's discolored brickwork all over the place. Inside there's a finger operated car lift, a red-swing door (courtesy of the Apple Tree House), and shelves full of cans and tools. If I had an expensive, Italian looking sports car I wouldn't be taking it here. The adjacent lot is full of spare parts scattered across the broken concrete, some wheel hubs, some fenders and a Snap-on tool box. But it does have an interior complete with Coffee Machine, Toilet and Sink - it's a bit grubby in there... The mechanics appear to be swapping out a perfectly good Blue door for a junky Yellow one - and I'm concerned about the number of spare parts they've got left.... Here's a shot from the side, but I think they should be paying more attention to the rear of the building... ...where someone has carelessly discarded a cigarette into a trash-can full of oily rags. This isn't going to end well! I hope you enjoyed it! Comments and criticisms and suggestions are most welcome.

Small locomotive shed and workshop + coal and water tower MOC's

This shed was first built around 2005 by my father as a present to me. It was originally three tracks long, with no side workshop, until I was about to order parts to increase it's length to four tracks. I suddenly decided that while I was at it, it should probably have a removable roof. It kinda snowballed from there into this design seen here. I added a workshop (with it's own removable roof) to the left side of the model. I then took the main section's roof off and made it detachable. The building is 100% build-able, but there is a catch: (Purists look away now!) I'm going to cut a 12 x 24 stud section of an already butchered 48 x 48 baseplate (It's currently in a 12 x 48 size strip, with thre rest being used on my father's own train shed) and replace the hodgepodge of baseplates seen in the picture. Basically, I'm keeping a 32 x 16 and two 16 x 16's for the main shed with the custom plate for the side work-area. The inside will be taken up by my dark green 2-6-0 "Mogul"-type steam locomotive number 4613. The workshop features tools from set 10027: (2003's Train Shed) a metal lathe, drill press and tool drawers, plus a coffee machine. The rear of the model. I only need to buy about 50% of the bricks. There are 833 total bricks in my new model minus the 418 in the original (unmodified) model, so 415 bricks to buy. (Those 3x4 roof slopes are going to be expensive!) My father built his original gray and black Water Tower way back in the 1990's, back when 9V was king. He made me my water tower in 2007, but I later realized that it needed a companion coaling tower. I made my first attempt at a much larger size than this using pictures from LGauge.com, a website of older Lego train models. Rear view of the refueling towers. Hello EB Members! On the 4th of November 2014 I began construction of our LEGO Winter Village Christmas display. 8 days and 7 late late nights (2am/3am) later I have finished!. This has been my biggest MOC to date. Not that I have done many... This is my 2nd major MOC, but I have done about 7 small little 16x16 baseplate sized ones. The size of this display is Three 48 x 48 and One 32 x 32 baseplates wide and Two 48 x 48 baseplate deep. (1410mm W X 770mm D) It's lowest point sits on the actual baseplate, and at it's highest point it stands at about 34 bricks high! (330mm H) The whole thing is modularized and each building is easily detectible like a floor level on a "modular building". Throughout the build I have added in some things for the kids to look for like a Where's Wally/Waldo. They have to find: 8 x Elves 5 x Reindeer 4 x fire hydrants 3 x Owls Find everyone that is doing a sport ie: snow baseball, Ice hockey etc.. Everyday I move Bad Santa around and the Kids have to spot him in his new location. (since taking these Photo's the kids also have to find 6 toy Soldiers, the very same ones in the October bonus S@H set) The carousel works with power functions and the motor is hidden in the "shed" and the battery pack is underneath the shed in the underbelly of the foundations. Hello lego fans I am teaching lego mindstorms to 8 people and have 3 NXT's and wanted to know what simple robots they could build. I am teaching a 4 week course and thinking of going through 1 sensor / week. (US, touch, color. 4th week TBD) I have only 1 hour for them to build and program the robot so it has to be an easy build but with all of the sensors. (4 people /course and 2 hours a day for a total of 8 people.) [EDIT] These kids are aged 7-12. Thanks! William "NXT45" -
Hello EB :) I've been gone for some time, mainly due to studying. Since my finals are almost over, I decided to try some MOCing again. The following creation started as an afternoon exercise in wall building and finished as a medieval woodworker's workshop. I wanted to build it slightly bigger, but ran into piece count constraints, as I have a limited amount of my collection at my university flat. Still, I'm pretty happy with it. The carpenter is currently engrossed in a procedure of transforming the two raw planks into a new chair. Behind him, there's a barrel with raw wood and a fully carved chair leg on his workbench.
