Hi all. I've just come across this wonderful model by someone called Michael gale. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/michaelgale/15266799517/ (can't add a photo via mobile sorry). I've got lots of track from my younger days and seeing this I'm tempted to get back into trains. So where would I start? Where do I get the wheels and are there any instructions online for anything similar to get me started? I'd like to power it using the 'old' wheel unit (via the tender?). The ones from around the mid 90 ' s as that's what I have. On a budget so would prefer to use these new fangled infrared things if possible. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ☺

6595s and 22253 rims
AxeSlash posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Has anyone got some 6595 and 22253 rims on which they could do some accurate measurements (you'll probably need a set of calipers, but at a push a ruler might do it) for me? I'm trying to see if I can shoehorn some Tamiya Lunchbox (3rd party) tyres onto them; I'd need to use 2 hubs per tyre so that's a total of 8 hubs and 4 tyres that I don't want to pay for if they're not going to fit! I need the diameters of: The smaller outer rim The larger outer rim on the other side The inner rim The groove that the tyre sits in To the nearest 0.5mm would do. If it looks positive, I'll buy everything and if they fit I will report back; it would mean that we could all have realistic looking monster truck tyres without having to fork out for power puller tyres :) Thanks -
[HELP] List of Parts which can be used as Wheels
jorgeopesi posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Has anyone a part list of Lego pieces that you can use as wheel?, gears, wheels, round bricks, group of parts, radars, etc. It would be nice to have one ordered by size. -
Hello all, I was planning on ordering some 8880 wheels, and I noticed the Bricklink image was most definitely grey, and there is no record of any being sold in grey or any existing for that matter. Does anyone know why or how that is the Bricklink picture?

My 8-year old son likes this and I wish every kid or kidult also likes this. Mind you... it rolls. In each of the big wheels made of black plates there hides 4 real tiny wheels. In the first glance these wheels (16 in total) can't possibly support this giant vihecle but the headache is resolved with the proper use of technic liftarms. Want to see it rolls? Watch this: https://www.facebook...&type=3 This link below shows how the wheels are made. Sorry, I don't have much time to write in the meantime. This website is in Chinese but the pictures speak themselves: http://www.minifigs....highlight=Mater

Info about track treads and wheels
Doc_Brown posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi Everyone. Just wondering what rims or wheels fit nicely into the newer large track pieces. I have tried all newer rims (for tires 86mm and 94mm) and they don't sit well, and was wondering if any older ones work better? In particular could anyone test if (Wheel 43.2 x 28 Balloon Small) would work? Thanks in advance! -
Hi there, I find it tremendous that people still whorsphip the old Legofigures. My question to you is if there are any people collecting RoboRiders or Bionicles. I find it would be a shame to give them away to some sort of institution, where they would be treated as "Old Toys". So are there any people who seriously collect them ? I still have lying around some of these Figures and as well some golden Wheels and golden Masks and some of the Slicers. Thank you for your Feedback.
