It's time for Santa Claus to go! Like every year at this time Santa Claus has to get to work, children all over the world are waiting for him. In my latest diorama you can see Santa Claus leaving his red cabin at the North Pole to get on his sleigh pulled by two Huskys. He has a long way to go... I inserted in the diorama a big animal. I'd like to share with you my MOC I've uploaded on Lego Idea website : The Station of Memories. The Station of Memories is a metaphor of past memories, when the family was gathering for special family events. It is a place out of time, another space-time in which everyone can connect and remember part of his/her life, out of the current everyday life. This is a simple and small family train station located in a pretty countryside little town. Please see samples below (very low quality). [MOC] Medieval castle and village aka "Dad, how about building a castle?!"

Hello forum! I've followed this forum for two years already while I've been building this fairly large MOC for two consecutive Lego events in Helsinki, Finland. I was thinking I would like to give back as you all have given me so many great ideas. The story goes like this: My son asked me a build a castle, just for fun. After 6 months of building I had 7-floors high, detailed (both inside and outside) with front defence with 3 floors with functioning portcullis etc. Every floor connects other floors with proper stairs, all the support structures are there as you might suspect in real medieval castle. Fireplaces and chimneys are there etc - as with my engineer's neurotic precision. Every detail has a medieval counterpart somewhere in the world. The castle (or it's actually a keep) was presented in the Lego event on 2018. On the following year my son asked me again: Dad, should we continue the castle this year - how about building surroundings. After 8 months of building I came up with 3 medieval 2-floor timber frame buildings with again interiors and a 3-floor medieval 13th century chapel. I moved the castle from the flat base plate on top of a hill and also started to do the build on moduverse units for compatibility with some Nordic LUGs. I presented this in Lego event on 2019. The size of the build is now 4x2 large base plates (roughly 51 cm x 110 cm). Hi everyone, For the coming Lego event, Lego World, I have build three landscapes. One of them is based on the Fright Knights and another one is based on the Imperial Armada. This landscape is based on the old Western theme of 1996 and I focused more on the civilian part of the theme. The landscape was already finished in July, but it was a bit boring to look at. Only the house in the front has interior. The house next to the bank has a mechanism to turn the flames on the roof. Someone crash landed very close to the village. Thulgard by David de Rijke, on Flickr Few of the ships of the once so mighty Mitgardian expedition survived their voyage, but the brave survivors joined up and found land! On the vast continent of Vela, yet unknown to Historica, they founded their new home, Thulgard. As the wood of the ships was used for pallissades and watch towers, the crews went out to forage and build some structures to survive the incoming winter. They did not go unnoticed, however... Their new settlement of Thulgard seemed to be placed in the domain of the Empire, and some imperial officers already stood at the gates to reclaim it, diplomatically. Not a single change however that Mitgardian captain Amkyr will let that happen! Thulgard lays in the Westerlands, the -obviously- western region of the Empire, ruled by the house of Glainthes, who have their seat near Bunnock's Barn, half a day's march away. Bunnock manor by David de Rijke, on Flickr Thulgard might be my most detailed build at this scale. At least it has the best rockwork I have ever produced :p The mountain had been under construction for, like, a year, so I am kind of glad that I am done, for now I sorted out my lego, I can't wait to build much and much more! Alas I kind of forgot I am studying abroad now for some weeks, so I had to hurry with the photography before I left. I might wanna make better pictures when I am back!

My 5th entry for the Colossal Castle Contest, into the Village Life category. Credit for the pine tree design goes to Chris Maddison, who recently shared his design in a tutorial here. The build fits on a 48×48 baseplate, and three of the buildings have interiors (pull out rooms). Daydelon has plenty of excellent shops to meet your various needs. Brianna’s Bakery, Tryggr’s Supplies, and the Toy Shop are all located on the first stretch of the main street. Even in the winter the city keeps bustling, with the frozen river providing a great place for children to skate and the snow covered streets still see plenty of traffic from dog sleds and others. Hi, I would like to share my winter village. It's my first experience in this size and I hope I didn't mess too much. It's not comparable to most of the works here because it's way simpler I think, but I enjoyed doing it and hope you enjoy seeing it. It's a 5x3 32*32 baseplate layout plus the north pole. We have a family tradition of creating a Lego Christmas Village with our family. This year we took it to the next level with hundreds of lights from Brickstuff and thousands and thousands of bricks. The only official set we used is the train from the 2016 Holiday Train set to which we added a battery pack, lights and the remote control upgrade. This is my first Moc after coming out of the Dark Age. I have always loved winter and Christmas and I am very happy to have spent two years building this village; unfortunately the time available is always little and I can put some bricks only a couple of times a month. This Elven Village for the LEGO Elves was designed months before I watched the Netflix's Elves series, therefore the cottages don't resemble the real Elvendale. What I had in mind was a MOC to use all the amazing (and bright) colors which were introduced in the Elves and Friends themes. I reused the background from my previous Elves MOC, the Dragon Mountain, but added more detail to the rocks. The land was extended to 96 x 96 studs. I enjoyed building the landscape as there was no limit in making it realistic. This Elven Village was displayed at 19th Kocke Fest (Slovenian LUG exhibition) in October 2017. This is what the village from air looks like - a bridsdragon eye. I added more rocks to the mountain (I actually ran out of slopes when building the Dragon Mountain). This MOC came to life mostly because of the bright colored cottages, and from this perspective it looks very colorful. I planned more buildings in other colours as well, but it felt crowded as it is. The first house I built was the pink one. As I wanted colorful houses with different floor plan, I decided to use rocks as the focal point of the ''Elven architecture'' as fireplace. This way, the houses have at least one similarity. The landscaping was my favourite part. TLG released many interesting parts which could be used as plants or plant parts, and I tried to use them to create a more vibrant and exotic flora. Also, the flowers' colors follow the aura of the cottage's resident. Around the bright light yellow house I used all the different flower molds I had at home, from the classic flower to 1x1 round plates and special ''Friends'' flowers. I only wish TLG would make those in other colors, too. Another challenge was to use some of the odd parts in my collection. For example, I built the bright light yellow cottage on a modified brick 8x16, I used the dark azure eggs, reddish brown horns. I've been sorting my collection intensively in the last months, and I was able to see just how many odd parts I have that were never used in a MOC. So here's another reason why sorting can be helpful. As always, more (and larger) pictures can be found on my Flickr.

For many years the forces of Arbenheim have tested their neighboring kings power by pillaging border villages. In an attempt protect his people the king ordered small encampments around the borders. One location was the homestead of Maerwynn, an important location as it was host to one of the few mills in the area. The kings intuition had been right, for only a fortnight later did the horns of Arbenheim sound in the village of Maerwynn. A collaboration between SirWilsonBricks( https://www.flickr.com/photos/133117612@N02/ ) and myself for the CBS 2017. His is the left, my side is on the right. Hay, after me finally finishing editing (which is a bit sloppy in places) here it is :D This was our main build for the show and it is the biggest build to date for both of us. It was great fun planning, skyping, planning, bricklinking, more planning and finally building this whoppa. If I could change a couple things I probably would (namely the ground texturing on my side) but it still came out looking incredible. The reception we got at the CBS was also great, with loads of people loving. I must say though, I may have stared a kid to death after he said "Hey mum, look NEXO KNIGHTS" Speaking of the CBS, it was a real blast and getting to know people better, meeting new people was awesome :) and of course seeing new creations (cough David Hense... Cough) Cannot wait to next year to see everyone again. Another creation on the way and hope you enjoy, C&C always wanted.

Here is my new MOC. After doing for 5 years with the winter season I wanted something summer! On the first day of Spring, however, this moc came to my mind. I imagined drinking a good coffee sitting at the coffee table at a seaside bar. So I decided to design this moc very different from my usual themes but just as fun to build. The moc is built on four 32x32 bases. As an inspiration I chose the Riviera Ligure where I occasionally make a turn, but all that was invented without relying on real scenes. The four colorful buildings you see in the background are (starting from the left): a bar, a souvenir shop, a grocery store, a florist. At first I wanted to do only the part of the facade and then I decided to make simple interior embellishments (as always) from the back. The cobblestone part is a classic walk through the seaside villages with benches, lanterns, flower beds ... The beach is still not crowded because I imagined a pre-summer period in which there are still few people around. The entire moc was built in 3 months (in time scraps) employing about 5,500 pieces. Hello Eurobricks Historic! I am intensely inspired by this forum and a huge castle fan since childhood. I really enjoy the challenge of combining playability with appealing aesthetics - hope you guys/gals can offer some critique for my future builds. Here's to my first MOC shared on Eurobricks! A renowned local herbalist grows ingredients and preps her potions in a hut not far from town. The purple & tan colour scheme was inspired by a Toronto pick-a-brick wall full of tan SNOT bricks and purple tiles. Conveniently complementary colours. I built around the dimensions of a typical MMV type building, but wanted to include plenty of garden space. I always liked houses that are displayable when open, like it's a two connected buildings on one side of a dirt road. This made things tricky with the garden space buffer and I got around this by placing the hinges on a chimney which extends further outside to power the distilling contraption: Friends sets provide some fun flower variety. I was also happy to find that lego made amanita mushroom pieces while I was in my dark ages. I got these giant tan slopes from a used sphinx set I bought and really wanted to incorporate them. However I realized they looked really dull, and so I added vines, which evolved to wrap around the whole building. I feel like no home is complete without a space to live and sleep. Admittedly there is no bathroom, but the garden does need fertilizer. A prep station full of interesting ingredients, a pot producing a ghastly green smoke as it boils. A place for stocking inventory and gardening tools, those potions look potent.. She senses a soul in search of answers The confident traveller on his way to battle insists on only her strongest potions. He is disappointed to find that her potions are far too strong for him. Onward he goes to find a seller that sells weaker potions I'm pretty happy overall with the addition of a civilian building to my medieval setup -- however there are a few things I would do differently next time: Firstly I would probably skip forcing big pieces into the build, like the big tan slopes, they did not look stellar when naked, which forced some flimsy coverup. They are also not very stable, which is annoying for playing with the set. As I expand my collection perhaps I can try multiple iterations. Secondly, I am not entirely happy with the roof overall, since the points where the large plates join at the top and the lack of overhang on the sides look somewhat unfinished. Either way, I'm looking forward to trying out some alternative roof techniques on my next castle themed build. Please feel free to share your thoughts on potential improvements.

[ESL CH5E] A Belated Party - Jan Zwartbaard Collab Part 2

Amazing part one by Sir Stig Part two: After the discoveries in Breshaun, Jan Zwartbaard went asap to Trador. Lord Maximilian Damaximus was easily convinced to sent at least an exploration party. Jan Zwartbaad could use the AQAR to sail to New Haven. The 50 gun vessel would be a safe head quarter for exploration. Once arrived at the beach, they set up a small camp ashore, manned by 40 soldiers. 50 soldiers stayed in the AQAR and 10 soldiers went exploring the jungle together with Jan Zwartbaard and a few Tenotclaxcan warriors. Zwartbaard hoped those natives would be helpfull when encountering new tribes. The jungle itself kept surprising Zwartbaard. So many wonderfull colours and animals. Luckily he was not a Corringtonlander or he would have been distracted all the time figuring out the newly discovered fauna and flora. Sometimes, he looked around him as he was sure they were being watched, but he could not see other humans. Part three: If the calculations were right, they would be in the middle of the island now. They would discover a lake soonish. And indeed, a few minutes later, they arrived at a complete new world. What they saw was not a flourishing village, but a destroyed and razed settlement. Upon arriving, he could not find a single living soul. Jan Zwartbaard ordered his soldiers to search for any clue they could find. It was at this point his Tenotclaxcan friends were helpfull as their well-trained ears heard some silent noise under one of the burnt houses. They quickly headed to what used to be the biggest building, discovering a small entrance to a hide-out. The natives they saw inside the hide-out were frightened and refused to come out. Jan Zwartbaard understood that they were too late. Mardier already arrived first and burned down the village in their struggle to find the treasure. Jan Zwartbaard ordered to give food to the survivors. Accepting his losses and not looking forward to report his defeat, he decided to stay a bit longer here and ordered his men to start building a campment in the village. 2 Soldiers went back to the shore to get 20 more soldiers and some supplies and materials. The more food they gave to the natives, the more they came out of their hide-outs and out of the jungle. Due to the actions of Jan Zwartbaard, the natives became friendly and with the help of the Tenotclaxcans, some sort of communication started. It was a surprise when the Tenotclaxcans understood the words of the natives and vice versa. It appears that the village they discovered is the capital of the Azclaxcans Tribes and they are relatives of the Tenotclaxcans. It were indeed orange wearing people who raided the village when they found out there was no huge amount of gold stored in the houses. They probably went to the next village, so the natives fear that their neighbours will have had the same destiny. After hearing what horrible deeds Mardier did, Jan Zwartbaard announced they had to go back to the known world to ask for back up and more resources. He appointed one of his sergeants in charge of 20 soldiers who would stay on the island to help rebuilding the other villages together with the Azclaxcans and some of the younger Tenotclaxcans who have no wife at home who would be angry because they would be really really late for dinner. Just when they said goodbye, the prince of the Azclaxcans, Prince AzTe Hek, asked permission to his father, King AzTe Nek, to accompany Jan Zwartbaard. The King not only gave permission, but also handed out a golden bracelet filled with precious diamonds to Jan Zwartbaard. That’s why Mardier burned the village down, they didn’t find anything as it was hidden as well! With the deepest bow he ever could do, Zwartbaard thanked the chief and started his journey back home together with prince AzTe Hek and a small MAESTRO party. Deep in thoughts, he figured how MAESTRO could secure the future of those natives. It would be a matter of time before other factions will visit the natives. He took a last glimp over his shoulder to see the Azclaxcan King waving goodbye. Some more overview pictures Thanks a lot for reading and commenting! Hi, I would like to show you my wip moc of a ferris wheel for my winter village. I got inspiration from this one, expecially for the gondolas, but i spiced it up a little bit (6 instead of 4, top cover, etc...). Of course i still have to develop everything around it, this is just the wheel for now (and still need to add some more decorations). As I'm new to this forum and I'm back on track after a long dark age I would like to know your impressions and suggestions to get it better before ordering the pieces i miss.For example i have some difficulties to attach more firmly the white plates to the black technic rotor plate. Any ideas? The gondolas are connected via turntables, i guess that there is a little bit too friction on that but it's the easiest way i found. Welcome to the Winter Village Filling Station, where you can fill your gas tank and fill your belly at the same time! This creation features the main building, a pair of vintage-style gas pumps, and a retro gas truck. Here's the main building, with tire rack and vintage road sign. It's been decorated quite nicely for the winter holiday. Inside, you can stock up on supplies and chat with the friendly staff. The pumps are shielded by a canopy.
