And here comes the latest one: the TX-225 Katyoucha, directly derived from the Occupier tank. TX-225 Katyoucha by Veynom, on Flickr When the Empire asked for a combat vehicle with superior firepower to support first-line troops from behind, Rothana Heavy Engineering decided to modify its somewhat popular TX-225 Occupier by adding a rocket launcher pod on the rear platform. The idea was to boost its tank production and benefit from the existing investments made for the Occupier. The impressive rocket launcher is able to fire its 16 rockets under 14 seconds if necessary with a deadly precision thanks to its mounted sensors. Results were highly impressive and the Katyoucha was up to its promises, able to smash opponent's strongholds, positions, or even any facility with accurate effectiveness and a frightening noise crushing enemies' moral. Unfortunately, the Katyoucha suffered one deadly operational flow: reloading the rockets is slow process, mostly manual. Moreover, the TX-225 could only carry a few extra rockets under the platform and required an additional ammunition carrier to follow. In the end and give these operational limitations, the Empire selected the famous AT-AT and it sounded the end of the Katyoucha. This was a hard blow for Rothana Heavy Engineering. It is 2 studs longer and external similarities with the set are purposely made, in order to align the Katyoucha with Occupier tanks during upcoming Lego events. Hey everybody, I've been a lurker for a long time and decided I'd make my first post with a MOC I just finished last week. I saw the incredible tracked version posted here by DarthPineapple, and got really inspired by a design that wolf.leews-無 was working on but abandoned. Having said all that, I made the canon hovertank version of the TX-225 GAVr Occupier Tank. A full gallery is available here http://imgur.com/a/lLY3J The tank is roughly 627 pieces (not counting the crates or ramps), and is incredibly study. There is room for 3 figures to sit inside of the tank, with a targeting visor for the gunner, and a console and steering yoke for the driver. The Rogue One visual guide gives a nice glimpse inside the tank that I used for reference, and DarthPineapple's use of the bucket handle for a yoke was genius. On the back wall of the cabin are racks for 2 blasters, as well as a console to control the commander's roof hatch. All hatches can be opened for the minifigs to see out of, and the aforementioned console doubles as a seat for the commander to be displayed. The twin Dymek laser batteries on the sides pivot up and down, and are independent. The whole tank is suspended above the ground at the appropriate scale for minifigures. On the rear deck are spaces for two Kyber Crystal Crates, and the deck can be removed easily to view the detailed engine compartment. Lastly, ramps can be attached to the vehicle's rear to facilitate easy crate loading for the ground crews. I hope you all like it, it was a ton of fun to design and I put a lot of time into making sure it is study. I am confident that this would withstand play from a child, while looking good enough for a collector. I'm sure everyone remembers the Imperial tank which had some screentime during the ambush on Jedha in Rogue One. The TX-225 GAVw (Groud Assault Vehicle, wheeled) "Occupier" is a tracked vehicle produced by Rothana Heavy Engineering, used by Imperial forces as a patrol and transport vehicle. It has a crew of three (Commander, driver and gunner/technician) and armed with six Dymek MK 2e/w laser cannons, two pairs in the rotating turrets on the sides and one pair fixed in the front. I originally wanted to slightly modify the official Lego set but when I saw a close-up of the tracks during the movie I was really excited as a tracked SW vehicle combines both my interests, Star Wars and WWII-era armored fighting vehicles. With the availability of some detailed images and a cutaway (really useful!) from the new Rogue One visual dictionary I then decided for a complete rebuild instead - with a three man crew and all details included such as an accurate interior and opening hatches. The actual tank used in the movie was based on an Alvis Stormer flatbed, of which the only major modification was the addition of side panels covering the tracks. Photos of this AFV were also really useful as an addition to the reference material.
