  1. I made this last year and didn't get around to make a topic about it until now. A video of it transforming: The model weighs 1.6kg and most of that is on the front axle. I haven't been able yet to make a mechanism that will allow Optimus to lift himself without a "hand of god" Some more photo's The rope you see between the front wheels in the photo above is what makes the flaps with the headlights at the front besides the grill fold back when Optimus is standing, but flex (thanks to rubberbands) when the hands need to be folded back into the body when he's transforming into a truck. The little grey wheels you see at the rear wheels make the black rear wheels barely touch the ground, this helps the leg spread mechanism. Speaking of which, the clicking in the video comes from these 2 mini-LA's in the legs: They make Optimus spread his legs a little when he's standing. I thought that looks better than him simply having his legs straight when standing, but the gearratio is off. If I manage to make a mechanism for the legs that works in lifting the model on its own then I might be able to tackle this gearratio too. In case somebody wonders where I put the battery box, it's external Thanks for taking the time to read my topic, hope you enjoyed it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

    [MOC] Gaiking

Hi all, here's another giant robot I've just finished planning in 3D. It's Gaiking, another great super robot design by Go Nagai. In 70's France we did not get the cartoon, so when the toy appeared, it was usually used a as villain against our beloved Goldorak (Grendizer) ! Gaiking combines three vehicles to form a formidable robot, in a very similar way to Big Dai X - another design by Go Nagai. (Check my earlier post with Big Dai X MOC). Gaiking can be equipped with more powerful arms and legs in "Power Up" mode : And of course my MOC can be displayed in Gattai (combine sequence) mode : You can see other pics in my Flickr Gallery : Enjoy !
  3. Hi all, here's another classic Go Nagai robot I had a lot of fun building (virtually for the moment, I need to order all those red parts now !). Very happy with all the rotating cannons and grilles, and the robot can actually transform / separate into 3 vehicles ! Here's how it's decomposed in 3 sub elements : And the 3 vehicles in flight mode : Here's a link to my MOC Big Dai X gallery ! Hope you like it. Enjoy !
  4. Happy New Year! Start at 2017, I would like to present to you the new transformer I build. The leader of Autobot: Optime Prime. Let's look at the front page of it. I build this model from 3 parts as below: Nice shape to balance the Robot mode and Truck mode-----------------------Done Smooth transform progress-----------------------------------------------------------Done Mobility------------------------------------------------------------------------------------50% So it isn't the perfect version, I believe I will make perfect at the next version. Robot Mode You can find the studless at the backside which is huge different with the available versions. Truck Mode The Accessories (Gun and Matrix) This time I didn't build the container, because I would like to build other Autobots, and hope they can be insert into the container. (Keep the nice ratio!) The small screens with Spike The final picture leaves to the Truck mode. Also I make the PDF instruction, if anyone interested, please send the email to jerryyao77@msn.com I made a video to record the whole transform progress, enjoy it! Thanks for the watching!
  5. Hi everyone, this is my first post on Eurobricks. I want to show you a scale model of a High Voltage Transformer in service in High Voltage Substations. This machine is able to supply energy to an entire region. The model was developed on Studio 2.0. Below some pictures. Hope you like it!

    Transforming Lego Wall-E

Hi all - I'm a big fan of the 21303 Wall-E set, but I always wished that he'd be able to fold into a box like he did in the film. After a lot of tinkering, now he can! Peeking out: Fully unfolded: Almost all of the range of poses in the film are now possible, including poses in-between transformation. Here are a few examples: I also made a gif of the transformation (stop-motion): https://i.imgur.com/UqMKq6F.gifv And there's also a gif of the improved range of arm motion, that almost matches the range in the movie: https://i.imgur.com/KAyRTr7.gifv If you'd like to see more pictures, there are some at https://imgur.com/gallery/S6Dtgru. If you'd like tips on how to build this guy, I've compiled an album at https://imgur.com/gallery/Jb94JSw. Thanks for looking!
  7. Name: SkyTrax Allegiance: Autobot Alt Modes: Seaplane, Excavator This project was Inspired by a sketch shown in TF:Generations book published back in the early 2000's. Since I am a fan of triple changer, I have been harboring intentions to build it one day , using LEGO of coz! And that day finally came (early last year), when I discovered the toy prototype of this TF actually exists ,despite not being used in G1 Transformers (below). What a shame! And off I go! First 3 months progress were really fast and I'm almost done building in 6 months. It took me another year to put a closure to this due to me procrastinating* and felt unsure of its final color scheme. *I actually initiated 5 other lego triple changer projects between this one. EXCAVATOR MODE I kinda lowered my bar here. Usually I prefer to use real working tracks for my LEGO creations. This time around, due to complexity of triple changers... I must implement "fake" tracks. SEAPLANE MODE Propeller was the last thing I applied before wrapping this project up. Initially its a 2-blade prop, but I took the liberty to confirm my design by googling photos of seaplanes to discover 3-blade is much common. ROBOT MODE He ended up top heavy with huge back kibble. Luckily his wide footprints ensured his stability. For more photos especially on how he transforms from 1 mode to another, visit my blog link below: https://alanyuppie.blogspot.com/2020/08/lego-transformer-triple-changer_30.html After this .. I shall return to completing my Astrotrain, Doubledealer and Octane. Do follow me on instragram to see my work in progress www.instagram.com/alanyuppie78
  8. Introducing Cpt. Jean-Mech Picard! When I came up with this idea, I thought this was probably quite a common concept for a Lego MOC. turned out it wasn't so, but now I also know why... it took me forever to design a mech that could fit into the model of the Enterprise. So here it finally is. Thanks for checking this out. For more pics head over to bricksafe.com and if you're interested in building one for yourself, instructions are available (though not for free, sorry) over at rebrickable.com. Battling Robo for top shelf domination!!! Live long, and prosper!

    Classic Space Koenig Monster

Back in 2017, I finished my second version of the Koenig Monster from the Macross anime series. My first version was about another third larger, but the joints just couldn't handle the weight, and I subsequently decided to downsize and try again. Fortunately, I was able to make it work. Initially, I wanted to use a two-tone tan with red accents as the color scheme, based upon some art I found online, but as I worked on fleshing out ideas in LDD, I discovered to my dismay that a number of the parts I needed weren't available in the tans at the time, and having accumulated a lot of blue and gray, decided, like my first attempt, to just build it in Classic Space colors and styling. It stands about 15 and a half inches tall to the tips of its cannons, transforms without removing parts between all three modes, is fully articulated, and features retractable landing gear in shuttle mode. Since these pics were taken, I've since updated the canopy section with a more line-art accurate access panel using the 4x4 trans-yellow dish from last year's Batcave set. Eventually I'll take some pics. Hope you like. https://www.flickr.com/photos/95379588@N08/44181063412/in/album-72157666939175729/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/95379588@N08/42422129770/in/album-72157666939175729/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/95379588@N08/44181265472/in/album-72157666939175729/
  10. Mini LEGO

    Tank troop combiner mech

Tank Brothers - mini tank troop. It is made of 2 Short Range Tanks, 2 Long Range Tanks, 1 Spy Drone and 1 Commander Tank. These 6 tanks can combine into a big combat robot to defeat more powerful enemies.
  11. Navy Cannon Transformer Mech. This is a multiple transformer which can transform into multiple forms (Cannon combat car, human type robot, antitank gun and so on).
  12. LEGO Fighter jet transformer mech - similar with vf 1 valkyrie It looks like the Zeta gundam also. :)
  13. Mini size Combiner Transformer Robot. I think if I try to build full version combiner mech (6 vehichles), it would be too big one and need to many bricks. So I built this combiner made with just 3 heavy vehicles.

  15. Gun Turret Transformer Robot (similar with Overwatch Torbjörn Turret) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrWeya7rzAQ
  16. I tried to build a combiner robot which doesn't include 1x1 handles (26047), 1x1 clips (15712) and 1x1 brackets(36840, 36841) this time.
  17. I tried to build a transformer vehicle which doesn't include 1x1 handles (26047), 1x1 clips (15712) and 1x1 brackets (36840, 36841)this time. This LEGO MOC contains 19 LEGO lots and 48 total LEGO parts. Transformation stop motion animation : 00:41
  18. Yes! this my 3rd rendition of LEGO Snapdragon since the very first one made I about 15 years ago (when I first rekindled my passion with LEGO as an adult) VERSION 1 (2004) Back then most of the parts I used came from LEGO sets so I just make do with whatever colors I had. More photos here: Snap Dragon: A LEGO® creation by Yap Alan : MOCpages.com VERSION 2 (2012) Leaps and bound improvement over v1. I was pretty satisfied with the outcome then. I even cloned 2 extra copies of this creation to be displayed in a LEGO exhibition in 2015 .. so visitors can see all 3 modes More photos here: Fall of Cybertron Snapdragon Triple Changer: A LEGO® creation by Yap Alan : MOCpages.com On retrospect, I found version 2 to be pretty dated now with a few design glitch > like protruding robot head on the jet undercarriage > weak jet nosecone design that tend to detach easily > shoulders too wide (think "ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime") > robot back kibble jutting out at a weird angle. VERSION 3 (2019) What meant to be a quick 1 week project , dragged on to about 2 weeks: My overzealousness got the better of me. Part of the long list of to-fix's: > Every nooks and corners were rebuilt to strengthen weak hinges > Rounder/more cylindrical arms. > Nosecone-kibble tucked in more neatly to the robot's back. > beast head too funny-looking. off with the buck teeth! > narrower shoulders. ..and of coz... a color scheme closer to his G1 toy version. more photos here: Alanyuppie's LEGO Transformers: LEGO Triple Changer Snapdragon version 3 Alan Yap (@alanyuppie78) • Instagram photos and videos Alanyuppie's Brick Adventures Alan Yap's LEGO Transformers
  19. This mini robot can transform into a big fighter jet. The fighter jet is half as big again as the its robot mode. It has 4 cannons on his arms and legs. The cannons' color is gray. So, that's why it's called 'Gray cannon'. in this video you can also see how I take a film for a stop motion transformation scene.
  20. Name: Apeface Allegiance: Decepticon Subgroup: Headmaster Horrorcons Alternate modes: Jet plane and gorilla Motto: Obnoxiousness is not a problem. It is an art ========== Actually this guy was never in my to-built list.. but since this is "year of triple changers" for me, and Apeface is sort of a low-hanging fruit compared to other triple changers when it comes to complexity, I give that a shot. Compared to the original G1 Apeface.. some compromises must be made in the form of a different-looking jet mode. Hope you guys like my rendition! The ball joints used for the gorilla rear legs are too weak to hold his body up. So he can't stand upright . With LEGO Snapdragon I rebuilt few months earlier. (He's not a Headmaster though). To view more photos especially how he transform between modes, proceed to my blog entry below: https://alanyuppie.blogspot.com/2019/10/lego-triple-changer-apeface-part-2-of-2.html Follow me in Instagram please! https://www.instagram.com/alanyuppie78/
