This MOC marks the beginning of a new era for me in terms of building. One that will be marked with higher quality pictures, greater attention to details, and also consistency. This little 12x12 vignette is the first of many that are to come. Inspired by the Harry Potter vignette collaboration, I decided to make my own version using various memorable scenes from the Indiana Jones movies. I would like to thank all the builders from the Harry Potter vignette story collaboration for inspiring me. Also, a big thank you to Mel and Markus for explaining in further detail their masterpieces at BrickWorld.

The quick way to modify this into 1 enclosed building is by getting 2 of this set and just mirror half of the building but you'll end up not using too many parts. I just bought the parts I need from Bricklink. All the parts I used to enclose the building costed less than 1/5 the price of the set. However, I don't like the red ornaments on the roof so I also modified them. Overall, the additional parts needed for this modification costed around 1/4 the price of the set. Each floor has 'hole' in the middle for future light setup which I'll probably do when I'm done creating the additional foliage and landscape for this. Hi guys! This MOC created with LDD is an interpretation of one of the oldest monument in the city of Rome: the Temple of Hercules Olivarius (sometimes erroneusly called the temple of Vesta). This is a simple recreation of a common day at Foro Boario, with some romans minifigures living their lives: a mother with her son going at the forum, two militaries talking each other, a rich man walking out of the temple (maybe after he made a gift to the priest...), a guy chilling under an olive tree, waiting for his fiancee, a man offering an apple to his loyal horse. At the entrance of the temple is possible to recognize two statues: the god Apollo on the left and Mercury on the right. I hope you guys like it! =) Have a nice day!

With King's Harbour growing, its rising number of inhabitants has started looking for spiritual guidance and refuge. Therefore, the Faith has opened up a temple in the settlement. While nominally a Temple of Poseidon, and served by his priests, it is practically a Pantheon, allowing worshippers of Zeus, Hades and Poseidon alike. Most likely, as the settlement grows, temples will be erected for each of the three deities, as well as for other religions of the Brick Seas, but for now, one must do for all believers. On this day, Ibn al'Sayeed is visiting the temple, to offer worship to his God. Being native to one of the southern realms of the old world, his religious views are known to very few, but he has been frequenting this temple since its opening. Whether he is worshipping one of the three known Deities, some foreign version of one of them, or something entirely different is known to few, as he does not discuss it openly. What everyone know, though, is that he is the manager of one of the most succesful estates in New Terra. Adding to that an entrusted position as Montoya's right hand man in the ETTC, and his assistance to the governorial seat of King's Harbour, his days are never dull. Al'Sayeed considers his career with some degree of pride. It has been hard work, starting out as the lowly captain of a small xebec, the Sphinx, but now risen to a considerable position in business, respected and known by many accross the Brick Seas. He does have plenty to thank his Gods for, whoever they are. Outside the temple, at all times, two priests of Poseidon are stationed, tending to the temple and aiding the poor passing by. In King's Harbour, however, their sacks of bread and other necessities are hardly ever touched, as very few are in need of their services. Instead, they walk the settlement after their shift at the temple, handing out bread to a hungry guardsman, a worker at a factory, or a kid underway from school. When the greater charities are in low demand, smaller acts of goodness must fulfil their days. _____________________________ King's Harbour needed a cultural property to progress, and Ibn al'Sayeed needed some screentime, as did the faith. It is my "Indiana Jones temple escape" where Sir Henry Jones Jr. tries not to be flattened by a big rock ball! It is motorized so the rock rolls after Indy! High in the mountains sits a small temple above a serene lake. Disturbed only by the sound of the falls, the mountain is home to a peaceful tribe of monks. Hello This is The Forum of Nerva, my first MOC and the first step of a larger project that will include the reconstruction of all Imperial Fora of the Ancient Rome. In the Forum you will find The temple of Minerva on the Western End, and the Temple of Janus at the center of the square. On the East End there are three openings on the Roman Forum with a triumphal arch, and a scene with legionaries standing in formation in front of the Emperor. Behind the Temple of Minerva there is also the monumental entrance at the Imperial Fora, an exedra porticata called Porticus Absidata. At this time i'm working on my new project, the forum of Augustus, but I also plan to set the interior of the temple of Janus and to create roman citizens minifigures. Hi! This is my third MOC, it's a Pagoda Temple on a little creek. I wanted to build a winter situation, with the temple on a rocky base. I don't know if i do a good job with the rock, I'm not convinced. Also the water, there are some trick to improve it? What do you think? I can improve it? (sorry for bad english)

John (LittleJohn) and I decided to do a collab series based around re-imagining old set themes. Adventurers is a theme we’ve liked for years, though we never had any of the sets. After getting some of the original figs at Brickfair, Virginia, we wanted to put them to good use. The landscape and temple were inspired by Grant Davis and Mark of Falworth. Johnny Thunder and his team of Adventurers have discovered an uncharted jungle island. Within the dense vegetation they find the entrance to a ruined temple! After leaping from pillar to pillar, over the crocodile swamp, Johnny reaches the gateway. They’re not the first ones there though, as the treasure-seeking gang boss, G.R. Edy is there with some henchmen. Will Johnny be able to prevail, and will Dr. Kilroy fall to the alligators? We hope you enjoy, and you can see plenty more pictures on our website

Tlahuicole was a war captain of the Tlaxcala, a tribe who lived adjacent to the Aztec Empire during the middle ages. Captured by the Aztecs, Tlahuicole repeatedly requested the honour of being sacrificed to the gods, but his legendary battle leadership meant instead that the Aztecs used him as a general in their army. Finally, the emperor granted his wish and he fought in a gladiator duel against 8 opponents, all of whom were disabled by the Tlaxcalan. However, he was eventually felled by the ninth, and sacrificed to the gods. In this scene the ninth warrior is the (fictional) Cipac, who manages to restore the honour of the Aztecs after a fierce duel. This is an entry for the Lego war group's 2016 competition - final duel category. Nocturnus Minichallenge II: At the Shrine of Kanohau

On behalf of the Resistance in Nocturnus: Deep beneath the Rakath Mountains, hidden from those uninitiated into the Cult of Kanohau, the god of Fire and Volcanoes, lies the holy temple of Kanohau. Even most Nocturnians are unaware of its existence, or of the race that tends it, for it has but newly made contact with the dwellers of the upperlands. There, in the heart of an active volcano, the lava-born gather each summer solstice, when the sky-fire burns the longest, and offer their gifts to their powerful god. The offerings of food and wine are intended to feed the hunger of the fire-god, who could starve otherwise without the added fuel, and ensure that the flames continue to warm the people of the lava and that the rivers of lava continue to visit their towns and homes. The food and wine offered are taken from the upperlands, plunder from raids to the surface, proof of the power of the lava-born. The entrance to the temple is carved from the surrounding bedrock. The fiery face of Kanohau greets the acolyte daring enough to approach, glowing in its wall-shrine. A bridge connects another part of the cavern to the temple itself, arching over a river of molten lava pouring out of the temple. Here Magmarthan, a queen in her land to the west, beneath a newly-risen volcano, pays tribute to Kanohau, accompanied by her minions. Kanohau especially likes turkey legs and sausages, but fish and sometimes even vegetables are also acceptable tribute. And wine. Kanohau loves wine, but only the dry red varieties, like a nice Cabernet Sauvignon. White wine is for sissy deities, and beer is for horses. Queen Magmarthan is well-aware of Kanohau's preferences and has chosen an excellent vintage of CabSauv stolen from the finest vintner in Avalonia. Within the temple are three shrines. The main, central shrine is to Kanohau himself, while the other two are shrines to Gem of Eternal Fire, said by the lava-born to be the source of all fire in the world, and to Kilahau, Kanohau's semi-divine son, the first king of the lava-born, who was conceived when Kanohau laid with a river of lava. .............................................................................................................................. _______________________________________________________________ This is my entry to the second Nocturnus minichallenge. It was rather difficult to photograph as I designed it with too much enclosed space, preventing light from getting to the middle of it. However, the shrines are easy to remove to provide access to the interior space. I still find myself wishing for a better camera and better photography "studio", as the pictures hardly do it justice in my opinion, but they are the best I can do with my current budget and resources. C&C is welcome. *I have edited the post to include an affiliation; I chose the Resistance for this post because I imagine the lava-born do not like the Drow, being competition for underground space, and they reside in the western portion of Nocturnus under the Rakath Mountains. -
Hello all, My 6 year old has abandoned all Lego other than his Minecraft sets, and for that matter most all other activities except console gaming when given the choice of free time. So to encourage time away form the screen and more actual imaginative play, I have built as faithfully as I can the Desert temple from MInecraft Game. This is a play set, not a model. The focus needs to be playability so, as the real sets show compromise, some have been made here, but I have tried very hard to conceal them. Eagle eyed gamer's familiar with the temple may notice some, but I am happy with the results so far. There may be more done to this MOC, is any build ever finished? but for now my son is enjoying adventuring into the temple, especially in a darkened room using torches to light the corridors or different rooms. The MOC. I do have some LDD files on this, but they are evolving and the final product has corrections and definitely simplifications that are not in my digital plan. There is approximately 1500 pieces,of which nearly 400 are 2 x 2 tiles alone! there are some of the jumper tiles scattered throughout to allow for simple minifig or torch placement. The building is sort of a pyramid design with some towers, an entrance and side entrances. There are 2 levels, and a set of corridors. Inside the main floor chamber are portico's and sub chambers (this is where some compromise was made. Using Lego as a medium for Minecraft at first might seem like a very logical and simple application. Wrong. The game is really essentially based on cubes (easy to render, computer to draw, build, etc) allowing for complicated world design at the expense of that real world appearance. Lego is not a cube. It is square at the base on a 2 x 2, but requires 1,5 layers of tile to make it a cube. So suddenly it becomes complicated with structures. A door is a good example, in the Game a door is 1 cube wide and 2 cubes high. Well in Lego (using a 2 x 2 brick as a start for a cube) we need two Lego cubes wide, and at least 5 cubes high to make a door for a minifig to fit in. A more accurate Lego "cube would be a 3 x 3 x 2.33. As you grow the cube in Lego in any direction to accommodate a minifig, the design must also grow in the other axis as well. With that in mind, here is my interpretation of the desert temple. I hope you enjoy, a Video of it opening will be available shortly. Adam

Solon (Greek: Σόλων; c. 638 – c. 558 BC) In Greek mythology, Poseidon is the god of the land and the sea, rivers, sources and drinking water .. With his trident could both create rough seas and calm waters.. His symbols were the trident, fish and occasionally the horse or the bull.. According to legend.. the Poseidon seduced Medusa in the temple of Athena.. the goddess was so furious with it.. so she transformed Medusa into monster.. The ugliness was such.. that whoever looked at her face.. turned into stone .. Medusa wanted to revenge Poseidon now.. so she kills the priestesses and the soldiers who guard the temple .. Their only hope now is to seek the help of the gods.. But to be heard by the gods, they need a sacrifice.. Hermes.. the messenger of the Gods, is there and waiting to hear the invocation to the gods and to carry the message ..

WIP shot of the Temple of Concord. The temple was erected in the west end of the Roman Forum against the Capitoline Hill. Its' neighbors include the Temple of Vespasian, the Arch of Septimius Severus, which still stands intact, the Tabularium, which still stands but has been heavily modified, and the Gemonian Steps where traitors were hurled to their deaths. Seeking Out Ancient Allies Battle of the Deep Sands (WZ5:I10) For the Desert King! Charged with seeking out some of the Desert King's ancient allies, Nimue and Dark travel to the heart of the Dune Sea to the den of the great Manticore, where he has been slumbering for several hundred years. Nimueh: "I was assured he is fiercely loyal to the ancient king and would not eat us... Let us hope he wakes from his lengthy rest in a good mood." A renewed alliance with the Manticore would ensure the region's fealty to the Desert King, and lend a powerful friend to fight in the battles to come. This guerilla action is against zone G14 . The wall at Qaryat-Dul-Khat has stood for ages as a place of solace and worship for the people of Kaliphlin. One of Kaliphlin's many holy sites, the wall bears ancient inscriptions describing various religious beliefs and practices. When Ulandus stormed through the southern Rakarths, Qaryat-Dul-Khat and other shrines fell under the First Centurion's dominion. Pilgrimages ended almost immediately as worshippers feared how Ulandus would treat visitors to these sites. Rumors spread that the authoritarian Ulandians regarded such worship as dangerous and backwards-thinking. Whether or not these rumors were true, the Desert King saw this as a perfect opportunity to strike Ulandus and demonstrate his devotion to Kaliphlin's traditional values. He sent a small group of civil and military officers to capture Qaryat-Dul-Khat who then invited worshippers to once again pray at the holy wall. In this time of suffering and uncertainty, the shrine has seen a huge growth in visitors. Guards dispatched by the Desert King ensure offerings are not stolen. So far Ulandus has not reclaimed the site, no doubt fearful of further antagonizing the local populace. Worshippers come from all over for fellowship, to pray and to leave personal offerings. Below, a Desert King civil officer helps an elderly worshipper while another recites the shrine's ancient inscriptions: ----------------------------------- Hello! My first Guerilla Action entry, hope you don't mind the stickers! They seemed to work here and finally gave me something to do with the Moria Mine stickers I've collected. I'd have to admit the rockwork needs some finesse. I would have liked to go a bit bigger to give a better impression of a shrine embedded in the mountain - unfortunately, most of my dark bley slopes are tied up in another build and this was all I could scrape together. In any case, thanks a ton for looking. Hope you enjoy it!
