  1. Just played around with some ideas for a new hexagonal part you could use for tabletop-games like "Settlers of Catan" etc. By the way: Please support my "Life-Sized Human Skull" project on LEGO Ideas (if you haven't done jet)! :-) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/142026 Thanks! --- UPDATE 01 --- Some more experiments with my hexagonal building bricks... @DraikNova: As you see above you can easily extend the distance between the "bases" by inserting plates or bricks inbetween them (so you could easily place a 4x4 round plate or brick on top of them). By using bricks with side-studs (as the green one in the bottom-left corner) you could also add extra playfields you could step or build on. The spacing betwen the hexagonal bricks would also allow to make "impassable gaps" (as you can see at the blue brick on the right side). --- UPDATE 02 --- Slightly updated my design by "drilling" holes in the side-studs and changing the connection on top of the brick (1 stud instead of 4, so the 2x2 round plates can rotate freely). As Eurobricks-user Philo mentioned there might be a little problem in connectiong the pieces directly, but if you build "bridges" between them, the connection should work just fine - and you can also place different bricks on the inside of the triangular spaces (in this example a 2x2 round brick with plate on top).
  2. Decided to combine two of my hobbies by building Lego minis for the X-wing miniatures game. Some of these are based on models from the advent calendars, with some tweaks. Y-Wing: U-Wing: The wings fold, of course. Your humble TIE Fighter: And the TIE Bomber: Most of these are pretty simple, though I did make instructions for the U-Wing. Cheers!
  3. Hello everybody After seeing that fantastic Iron Builder MOC from Legopard ( https://www.flickr.c.../in/dateposted/ ), I decided to make something similar. Due to the fact I love playing Tabletop Football, I tried to make an Lego Lord of the Rings themed version. Lord of the Rings Tabletop Football by Balbo ., auf Flickr It works quite ok (so it´s possible to play with it), but the bar construction with the 1x1 bricks and the Lego 4L bars (they are inside the 1x1 bricks) isn´t perfect, especially when playing a real game because sometimes the bar construction can break. But I´m planing on updating the MOC with a new and more stable construction for the bars in the future Thanks for watching

    Brick Wargame

So, I'm developing a custom Lego wargame to replace the Brikwars rules my gaming group has grown increasingly frustrated with. The infantile tone, the lack of support for supernatural powers and role-playing game-style stuff, etc. have all made us uncomfortable with the Brikwars ruleset. We've tried BOW, the Bricks-Only-Wargame, but the lack of flexibility was too much of a drawback. So, I'm creating a rule set that hopefully will blend a bit of both games and pull in some new stuff to create an entirely new wargame suitable for any situation, from vast armies with simple statistics to highly-detailed role-playing game adventures. I currently lack playtesters, so I'm asking this: If I came up with a simple battlefield, released a pdf of the rules, and set up a play-by-forum type of thing, would anyone here want to playtest it? If there's no interest, I'll look somewhere else, but given the popularity of the Mafia games and so on, I think there's no reason I couldn't try to set up a forum wargame.
