  1. The Super Banshee AWD started out with no plan, no design, and no idea where I was going. I did know I wanted to make a car and little by little I ended up with a finished car. I had to rebuild most of the inside a couple time as I need to or wanted to make tweaks and improvements as I was transferring it to digital. Then rebuilt it a third time to make sure the instructions came out right. It has a functional V-8, can't see it move but it makes it a mid-rear car. All Wheel Drive for complexity. Opening hood and trunk, or is it trunk or hood? Steering with steering wheel, no hand of god sorry. Ratchet shifter with paddle shifter that is a modified version made by Didumos Seats tilt forward, simple but added for no reason. Working suspension. Removable roof for the sunny day. Creating and building it was fun and a good time, even if it took longer than I hoped for. When all was said and done, the instructions took me longer than I would like to admit, as I was not as good with the tricks of Studio. But I'm way more proficient at making them now. A few more pictures can be found here. Instructions are here.
  2. The instructions are now available through Rebrickable Here This my attempt to distil features from all my favourite Lego Super cars into one. Nearly all of them have steering, suspension, engine and gear box so these are the other features I’m trying to incorporate with a few extras of my own. 8860: Car Chassis – Chassis view (all the body work can easily be removed for a full chassis only model) 8865: Test Car – Pop up head lights, adjustable seats (sadly was no room for this feature) 8880: Super Car – 4-wheel drive and steering 8448: Super Street Sensation – Automatic doors, Convertible and modular build 8070: Super Car - motorised functions 42056: Porsche 911 GT3 RS – Sequential gear box and Orange! 42083: Bugatti Chiron – 8 speed gearbox Additionally, I have added adjustable ride height and a motorised roof Pictures of the chassis and body panels her are links to the motorised functions Suspension Roof Bonnet Lights More images https://bricksafe.com/pages/Cardboy/super-car-mrk-3 It is based loosely on the 42083 floor-plan as the gear box and shifter are nicely placed and allowed a route for the 4 wheel steering. I used jb70’s layout for the gear box (in the pimp my Bugatti thread) as I have never been good with ratios but heavily modified the casing and redesigned the gear limiter. I hope you like and please let me know what you think of the model or any questions you may have.
  3. Hello, I've always been a fan of legos. My favorite set of all time has to be the 8880 Super Car. I purchased this set and assembled it as a grad student at Michigan State University. I learned far more about real cars in the process then I ever expected to. Then soon there after came a job, kids, etc. and I had zero free time. I'm now in a lower stress job, my kids are off to college and a friend pointed out the LEGO Ideas 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V set soon to be released that I'm hoping to get. But all this has rekindled the joy I had putting the 8880 Super Car together. It had 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steering, 4 wheel independent suspension. In many ways it's drive train seems to be more complex then all the super cars I've read about since. This MOC kit seems like one of the nicest I've read about: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-2811/NKubate/predator-supercar/#bi But I was curious what others thought was the best Super Car out there, official kit or MOC. Also if I end up going after an MOC like this one, what is the best way to get all the pieces. I see the directions are for sale but getting all the parts sounds more complicated then putting the model together. Thanks, Carl
  4. Not sure if this is Creator, or a whole new theme. From David Thomsen. -Sci
  5. Hello it's the Dubai Police... :) Here you can see my latest MOC car which is a Bugatti Veyron in Dubai Police theme. It can fit either a minifig or a Friends figure (when steering wheel is removed). Hope you like. Thanks for watching.

    Porsche GT3 RS

Taking me nearly two weeks, I finally got the time to find the needed parts and build this super car. I did a Mustang some time ago, and I thought I should make and complete a super sports car series (so that they can really race in my city, haha). Now, here you go! I just parked my new Porsche GT3 RS! (oops, I just found that a light is tilted in front of the restaurant!) I tried very hard to make the car profile as close to the real one as possible, and here are some photos for comparison... I think the rear part is the best, and I even keep the center red tail light! I like the mix of 4-stud and 5-stud to achieve the tail profile... I can use white for the spoiler, but I guess it is more exaggerating to have it in red. Just a little test. Now it is placed next to the Mustang, and you can see the two different styles... I tried so many different windshields but none of them looks nice since I have a 6-to-4 car profile (bottom to top). I guess I will just leave the glass issue aside, as the car profile is more important than glass problem! Time for pedal to the metal! C'mon and start drifting and dragging!
