If I had been more daring, I would have posted this before voting ended! Here's the Shifting Subway, a diorama I built for the Bricklink Designer Program Series 1: And in the brick: Turning the crank moves the subway car back and forth. When it passes the station, the scenery at the station changes: The mechanism is fairly straightforward: trip pins on the subway car catch the scenery as it goes by, moving it. As a result the size of the platform is limited: Some notes from the design phase: I built this because I didn't enjoy working on the original idea I had. I threw this together in 3 or so weeks, scaling down an idea for displaying a future model. The hope here is to enjoy working on something I like, even if it's less popular. I might redo the concept later at a larger scale with a more sophisticated mechanism. Full Brickshelf gallery, whenever it gets moderated.

Welcome to my Brick World and welcome to the City of Brickgate! A project from Germany... Since August 2020, I've been working on a large and, most importantly, realistic LEGO city whose progress you can follow several times a week on my YT Channel. The feedback of my community plays a big role Here I show you some current pictures of my work. There are more than 100,000 bricks on the table so far and there will be many more to come. Also extensions of the area are already planned. Big highlight is the station, which takes an area of 10 plates with 48x48 studs each, is completely modular and is built on three levels. In addition, there is also the old city wall and an old town is also planned... In addition, the entire project will also be gradually illuminated. Hi! This is my first post in the Trains sub-forum (comments aside). I'm here to share my latest MOC: the Epic Subway Saxophone Battle! One warning, though: this was built as a lively interior first, and a train second. I'll go further into the specifics of that later, but first let's see the build. At times, pretty weird and amazing things happen on the subway. With many different people on the move for many different reasons, briefly sharing the same space, it's a game of chance until the next encounter between strangers leading to an unexpected scene! I was inspired to build this after watching the 2013 viral video "Two Total Strangers Have Saxophone Battle On NYC Subway Train". I built it as an entry to the IDEAS LEGO House contest, category "Minifigure". The premise of this category was to create a fun or whacky minifigure vignette, no larger than 64x32 studs. I built two subway cars with minus one wall and the roof, to show the interior. The base of the build measures 62x10 studs, the cars are built on a 29x10 studs platform wide. Since the 8x16 straight train tracks have a slight overhang, I couldn't use four of them for this entry (maybe diagonal). Three, on the other hand, would be too short. Another issue I had with these is that they were a bit warped, making the cars look a bit wonky. I solved both problems by using 15 8x4 flexible rail pieces. As for the proportions and lay-out... I have taken a lot of uneducated decisions here.😬 The cockpit and exterior were built 'freestyle'. And though I am quite sure that a standard passenger car has doors both front and back, I didn't have parts to make four sets of doors. The doors open and look pretty good from the inside in my opinion, though they don't follow the curved profile of the exterior. [MOC] Ninjago - Sons of Garmadon Hangout

The recent Line of Ninjago Sets with their "Sons of Garmadon" Bikergang and the cool Colorcombos inspired me to turn one of the Sets (70640 S.O.G. Headquarters) from a chopped up Battle Arena into a small MOC. I figured all the Bits from the Set would shape up to be a formidable abandoned Subway Station with a Gate to the actual Hideout of the Bikergang. As you can see,the Subwaystation looks like it has been out of Order for a quite long Time with crooked Floortiles and weathered wooden Boards between the Rails and with Weeds poking through. The Bikers don´t really mind,all they need is a Place to hang out,and from the Grafittis you clearly can see that this is their Place. hello, i decided to create a subway train and the station as i feel lego is lacking a subway, the station is based on the Swedish undergrounds as they are filled with nice colours and the train is just a generic subway car which probably fits more towards a NYC sub but oh well please let me know what you think the project is also on ideas if you would like to see this https://ideas.lego.com/projects/ff56ee95-3958-4871-87f2-65aeac7e9b9c

Superman vs. Metallo The man of steel, Superman faces off against another steel (Among other elements) “man”, the villain Metallo; in the subways of Metropolis. I just had to build something for my new Metallo figure, and show off his design allowing Lifelight products. I felt a subway was a good location for the battle, and I’m rather happy with how it turned out. Enjoy ~Nemo
