Hi all, I've recently come out of my dark ages and decided to get back into Lego trains! One thing I've always found fascinating is mountain railroading. I remember looking for the old railroad grades in the mountains on family trips to Colorado, and I enjoy reading about how they were constructed through the mountains. (The Denver, Northwestern & Pacific's standard gauge line over Rollins Pass is pretty incredible). This project takes inspiration from a Denver and Rio Grande Western Line between Buena Vista and Leadville, CO as well as the Yosemite Valley railroad in California. I'm planning on creating five sections for this. The railroad will pass over the river at some point (still playing with a couple ideas!). It won't be a full loop, but I enjoy making dioramas. With the space I have available, I can add a lot more detail to a diorama display. Two questions for you guys: 1) Getting the slopes to line up is pretty tricky. What's really tough is making the supports line up to brace the upper mountainside. Has anyone made any references for these kinds of things? I was thinking of making some basic models to really figure out how to line things up. I was hoping to avoid going into calculating LDU's and such, but with all the angles, it might be necessary. 2) Has anyone made wide radius curve L-draw files (R56, R72, R88)? I searched the forum and found links for the ME-models library and R104 Bricktracks on Lgauge.org, but I found the ME models ones to be kinda finicky. Let me know what you think! I played with a couple different methods for detailing and attaching the trees and grass, etc so I'm open to feedback and to other ideas as well! I plan on updating this thread as I finish the other modules. Thanks! Which streaming platform do you use? (movies, series,etc.)

Which streaming platform are you using and will you recommend it or not? I am currently using Netflix, but there are lots of movies that are not on there so I am looking for another one. Any suggestions? -
An Avalonian ranger strolls through the forest, hunting his elusive prey. Just a small build while I wait for inspiration for category B. It was nice to experiment with some tree styles, which are mainly based of SK's. Also my first build in ages that is 360 view able Hope you enjoy.

Hello all, i wanted to build the medieval village what Derfal Cadarn build in this topic of his: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/60907-detailed-guide-to-building-a-medieval-village/ I started to build and soon found out that it is a HUGE project which requires a huge amount of bricks. I do have bricks though but not as many that are used in that project. So i decided to do the landscape first and build the watermill. All is based on his excellent guide so all credits go to him ofcourse. Mind you, its not nearly finished but i managed to build some. Hope you like it and please comment ( but be gentle, this is my first ever build) I used a baseplate of 48 x 48, laid the foundation and started to build away.

Passed down from father to son, carrot farming ran in Colby's blood. When he was a boy he used to eat them every day. Stewed, boiled and even mashed, it didn't matter how ya cooked em, Colby would eat it. When he had inherited his fathers cottage he had been overjoyed. It sat on the edge of the woods beside a small stream. The perfect environment for growing carrots. The house could do with a bit of a fix up, but as long as there were carrots, Colby was happy. So here it is. I would have posted it earlier but as this is my first time editing, it took me a while to get sorted. A couple tips on how to improve my editing would be welcomed. Over all I think I nailed the build, with the rock work being the only thing that annoys me. I love the leans, the Tudor work and stone work. All were inspired by DC and LD. The weather vane (yes, that's a weather vane ) was a nod to Legonardo's moc "house of chaos" which helped me build this, it's meant to be a chicken but I don't have any chickens so I used a brick built one. The trees were fun to try out but the roof was not as rickety as I would have liked it but eh, its OK. I am also going to be putting my saga to the side and focus on some different builds over the next weeks. C&C needed and hope you enjoy.

Hi, this build is my way of trying out different tree building techniques as well as doing something with that minifigure (and justifying the purchase :P). Some say it's a gnome, but let's settle for troll for this build. I used water technique I tried out in my previous MOC here: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=111354. My entry to Round 2 of The Tourney 2015 over on MOCpages. It would seem that the "wild boar" my character is chasing may not be as wild as he originally thought.

This MOC was built by my 12 year old brother. Kendrick and Basil set off once again after a good nights rest at their camp. It wasn't long before they came across some weary knights refreshing themselves by a stream. The captain of the group hailed Kendrick and asked him if he had happened to see any signs of a dragon recently. Rather surprised, Kendrick answered that he had not, and asked if there was a dragon in the area. The captain grimly replied that a dragon had been burning buildings and fields and they were hunting it. My brother would appreciate any comments/criticism
