  2. UPDATE 20/04/2013: new interior with extra details, see down this thread. Here is ma latest MOC, a turbolaser turret with its base. This turret will later find its place into a larger base. I quite like the aggressive look it has. Rear side of the turret by Veynom, on Flickr The rear side is more detailed. Hey Guys, recently I have gone out of my DARK AGES but those times I abandoned my Lego creativity especially building Mocs, about Star Wars Now I am just a collector, I never build the Lego sets I bought it just sits in my Lego collection wardrobe but since then I have been thinking to restore my Lego child imagination but I know I cannot do it alone I need help, unfortunately here in the Philippines very few build custom Lego Star Wars that I really, really want to build and show in my meager collection. But Fortunately I have the internet and the internet allows me to access THE EUROBRICKS Now I need your help (not mandatory but out of love ) so that I can rediscover my Lego Imagination! - Link any pages that shows any custom Lego Star wars Builds -Post a pic about your very own creation -Comment/ Share any good Lego Star Wars Build DUE REMEMBER WHEN YOUR POSTING AND LINKING PLEASE IT MUST HAVE INSTRUCTIONS ON IT! [Moc] Lightsaber Bookends

My third entry into the 2013 MocAthalon Team Theocracy. Category: 23. Bookends Design a pair of wickedly cool bookends. Show them off holding up your library of Barbie Fairy Princess books, or whatever you read. Even the book is lego. :D So for my bookends, I built Mace Windu's Lightsaber burning through the books! Unfortunately, the handle is a little heavy, so I have to use trans-clear pieces to hold it up. :/ It is surprisingly very strong, so It can hold heavy books as well. Enjoy! http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/356497 Soli Deo Gloria!

    [MOC] Droideka

This is my rendition of the classic Droideka (Destroyer Droid) seen in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. LEGO's most recent incarnation was a disappointment, but my model here is meant to do justice to the droids. It can easily roll up and is highly detailed. It has 40 pieces. This is the backside.
  7. I looked at the internet and found this shocking news http://www.independe...go-8555610.html Jabba's place is ceasing production in 2014
  8. In 2007, Lego introduced a great new concept into their annual lineup of sets, the battle pack, and they have produced various ways of building up your minifigure armies ever since. But after a while, even clones and Stormtroopers tend to get boring, so they decided to dabble in lesser known parts of the Star Wars universe, such as the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, which became free-to-play last November. Was this a smart move? Is the game popular enough to warrant a battle pack based on it? And most importantly, should you buy it? Perhaps this review will answer some of these questions for you. Set Number: 75001 Name: Republic Troopers vs. Sith Troopers Theme: Star Wars Subtheme: The Old Republic Year of Release: 2013 Pieces: 63 Minifigs: 4 Price: $12.99 USD S@H description: Brickset Bricklink Brickshelf S@H The Box The box is small and almost square, just like every other set in this price range this year, and features the new green Yoda design. It goes well with the green hills that make up the background which I believe is supposed to be Alderaan, as seen in the . It also has the logo of the game in the lower left corner to let people know what the set is based on. The back features a very similar scene along with several views of the speeder and of how it fires its flick missiles. Most of these images are somewhat redundant in my opinion, but at least it's not boring. There is also a teaser image for The Yoda Chronicles. TLG is really trying to push the popularity of the little green Jedi master this year, aren't they? Contents Inside the box there are two bags, the instructions booklet, and a sticker sheet. I think this is the first time that there are stickers in a battle pack, or any $10 Star Wars set for that matter. Also, look at how relatively empty these bags are. I know this is a small set, but I can't help but feel ripped off already. Oh well, let's reserve our judgement for the end. Here is a random instructions page. There are only 14 pages of instructions and they are pretty easy to follow. The last few pages show a lineup of all the minifigures and sets of the winter 2013 wave and a code that unlocks something on the Lego Star Wars website relating to The Yoda Chronicles. Even though there is only a small number of parts in this set, there are a few noteworthy ones among them. The obvious one is the 6x6 round corner slope which has appeared in only a nine other sets, of which only two have it in dark gray. Another interesting piece is this new plate with flick fire missile holder. This one is all over the 2013 sets and it does help incorporate the missiles less conspicuously, so I'm not complaining about it. The third is the 2x2 hinge plate in red, which is fairly new and rare and has only appeared in two other sets in this color. All of these pieces are pretty useful. Minifigures There are two troopers of each faction in this set. The Republic troopers are wearing identical armor and have the orange markings that all regular troopers in the game have as opposed to the red special forces markings that Jace Malcom has. Their helmets are a new mold and exclusive to this set for now. They are quite detailed and even have leg printing. Both of them come pretty heavilly armed too, which is only fair given that they don't get a vehicle like the Sith troopers. One of them has a long blaster rifle while the other has heavy gun. It is not said what kind of gun it's supposed to be, and it doesn't look like any particular gun that I know from the game, but it captures the general look of a heavy gun, so I guess that's good enough. They have back printing as well. Maybe it's just me, but the back of their heads seems a bit too exposed by the opening under their helmet. Other than that, they look terrific. When you remove the helmets, you'll find that they have different heads. Oh hai there, Endor Rebel! What are you doing in the Old Republic era? Seriously, it's pretty odd that they chose to include the same head they used for one of the good guys in a battle pack last year. The other trooper seems very familiar too as he has the same head as the imperial officer in the Hoth battle pack and the Hoth Rebel from the latest AT-AT set and many other generic guards in other licensed themes, including the hapless security guard in Super Heroes. The Sith troopers are even better than the Republic ones. There are two variants: one is the same black one you get in the Fury-Class Interceptor, except with leg printing this time, and a red variant, the kind that you encounter on the planet Korriban. Their designs look similar, but there are subtle differences. Variation is always nice, and the metallic silver printing on these figs makes them look so shiny and cool. The details on their helmets is incredible. The black one gets a blaster pistol and the red one gets a regular blaster. Their helmets seem to protect their necks much better than those of the Republic troopers. The stripe on their helmets goes all the way down the back and they have printing on the back of their torso too. Again, you can see some subtle differences here. And under their helmets... What's this? More Super Heroes heads? I knew Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor owned an empire, but I never knew it was a Sith Empire. What happened? Did Lego have excess heads from the first Super Heroes sets left over and decided to put them into this battle pack or is it a coincidence that the most generic heads can be found in that theme? Either way, it's odd to see these three DC comics characters in Star Wars uniforms. The funny thing is that the instructions don't even tell you which head goes onto which body, except that the security guard head goes onto one of the Republic Troopers. I'm assuming this was done in order to encourage interchanging the heads to create personalized troopers, kinda like in the videogame itself, which is a pretty good idea. Here's a side view so that you can see all the great details on the side of both helmets. Comparing them to some reference images, they are all very spot-on. There is not much to show from the build, so I'll just skip to... The Finished Speeder After only about two minutes of building, this is what you get. It's actually not a bad looking speeder. It looks kinda like a mix between a STAP and an AAT. It also reminds me of the old Stingray vehicles from Aquazone. Ah, nostalgia. I couldn't find this speeder on Wookieepedia, and this is the best reference image of it I could find. I have seen it several times in the game, but it always had blue markings like in the following picture rather than the red ones on the Lego version, but perhaps that's just because I haven't been playing the game for long yet. Aside from the color scheme, it's about as accurate as you can get with Lego. Most of the details on the front are made up by the stickers and I doubt it would look quite as good without them, so applying them is recommended. On the side of the handle bar it has a clip to hold the pilot's blaster so that he can grip the bar with both hands. Safety comes first! On the back it has two thrusters and a small platform for the pilot to stand on. Looking at it from the top, it looks nice and aerodynamic. The Complete Set Looking at the finished product, you can't help but feel underwhelmed. The minifigures sure are nice, and the speeder and brick-built blaster are decent too, but there's just so little there, even for a battle pack. But does there really need to be? I'm still not sure. Let's go on to the final ratings. Ratings Design: 4/5 - To be fair, the speeder is pretty accurate and looks good. The design even made me a bit nostalgic. It's nothing extraordinary though. Build: 1/5 - Very short and unsatisfying. It almost feels like a polybag model, plus you have to apply stickers. Ugh! Minifigs: 5/5 - These minifigs are amazing. They have an incredible amount of detail, new helmet molds, and leg printing. The fact that three of the heads are from the Super Heroes theme and two of them have appeared in SW battle packs before is a bit odd, but at least you get four different, generic heads that you can use to customize your troopers, a feature that I have been hoping for in battle packs for a while now. Playability: 3/5 - Pretty basic for a battle pack. You have a speeder that you can swoosh around and some missiles to flick, and the fact that you get two troopers from each faction in this set allows you to play out several battle scenarios right out of the box. Parts: 4/5 - There aren't many parts there, but most of them are useful and some of them are fairly rare, plus you get four different blaster types, so overall not bad. Price: 1/5 - 63 pieces for $13 is pretty bad. It even tops the terrible price-to-piece ration of the Geonosian Starfighter from 2011! But why? Were the new molds and prints on the minifigs so expensive that they had to reduce the amount of bricks so drastically? I don't get it. Overall: 4/5 - This is a tough one. What you get in the set is great: four incredible minifigures which are perfect for army building, four different kinds of weapons, and a neat speeder. The only thing that keeps it from being a great battle pack is the high price and the building experience (or the lack thereof). While I would recommend this set based on its pros, it will probably end up not selling well. Not only is it too expensive, but it's based on a videogame that not many care about. TLG could have easily fixed this problem by including another speeder for the Republic Troopers or by lowering the price which would have made the set more appealing, especially to people who are not into SWTOR, but as it is, I don't think many will buy it. If you see it on sale, I'd say pick at least one up because even if you have never even played SWTOR, you will still be able to appreciate the high effort that went into designing these minifigs and might be able to use the parts for MOCs. And if you do know about SWTOR, you will appreciate it even more. Well, that's all I have to say about it. I hope this review was helpful to you and wish you a happy new year. Master Yoda

Hi! I want to represent my model of Yoda. I do not like the official set 7194 and tried to build my own in smaller scale and smoother. You may compare these two models and say in comments have I achieved the goal or not! Master Yoda is sitting in the Lotus Position and keeps an eye on Younglings.

    Review: 30059 Mini MTT

First of all I request some help from an admin, because I don't know how to make a poll! Thank you Mini MTT When I first saw this set I didn't even know that they released a new mini MTT and I fell in love with it immediately. Then ordered it from a big Lego store in Hungary and I got it today, and I saw there isn't a review here on EB so I put one together for you guys (It's my first). Now let's have a look! Basic info Set Name: Mini MTT Set Number: 30059 Release: 2012 Price: I don't know exactly, probably was sol around 4-5$ (I bought it for 2000 HUF = 9$) Number of Pieces: 51 (http://www.brickset....ry/?Set=30059-1) Minifigs: 0 The bag It's decorated with the commonly disliked Darth Maul logo with his twisted neck and fierce look. In spite I have to say that I like that logo, he is my favorite short-lived Sith warrior. Moving our eyes below we can see the MTT itself in the middle of a fight on a beautiful planet (I'm guessing it's Ryloth concerning that the grey/blue MTT's were shown there first in CW). The content of the bag Here is the pile after a little sorting I have to say that those dark blue parts are astonishing, that color is so beautiful. None of them new but the 1x1 cone can be found in only 4 sets in this color. The instructions It is very little, we don't get a book but it's not necessary for a set this small, so we have the folded sheet with both side printed on. (I'm sorry for the first page) Very fast build, Took just a few minutes with taking the pictures, but it was very enjoyable. Now have a look at the builted set: The MTT Okay here we have it. It's looks very soild and it really is, except the binoculars, somehow they tend to pop off a little easily, maybe I was unlucky and those were made of worse quality ABS... Here are some more pictures: Side Front Back Top Underwear All together Oh and don't forget the spare parts!!! Overall Parts: I think they are okay, we get some rare, very nice dark blue parts, lots of cheese slopes and other common but useful parts. Price: A bit pricey, but it's Star Wars and in Hungary everything is more expensive so if you take that into account then I assume it could be worse. Playability: There is not much, A solid transport vehicle, it can swoosh and that's all. Minifigs: As usual we don't get any. Design: Compared to the size the mini MTT is as accurate to the original as it can be, Lego did a great work designing it, although the colors seem a little mixed up on the complete set, but again, you can't make better details on a set this size. Although it lacks the sense of scale, the rear part is too wide IMO. Final thoughts I've read some comments on this set throughout the web and there were more people who disliked it than those who liked it. I'm in the latter group and I recommend this set because it looks very good, relatively cheap (if you can find it in a store, but looking at ebay prices... ), contains rare DB parts and most importantly..... wait for it..... it's cute. I hope you enjoyed this review, it was my first so I tried to point out anything that you used to read in the experienced review writer's And I apologize for my english

    New to Eurobricks!

Hello to all! I am new to this absolutely wonderful community. I am a 26 year old guy from Nova Scotia, Canada. (where the @#%$ is that???). I have been collecting and building Lego since I can remember. I recently have gotten a lot more into it as a hobby, and I never knew how in depth the online community was!!! I can't believe the talent and imagination that is displayed through everyone's MOC's and contest entries, my girlfriend complains that I spend all my time building and surfing through these forums. She said either the Lego goes or she does, so I just helped her load her last bag of stuff in the cab. Hahaha My Lego setup isn't really in the position yet where I can build to my heart's content, a lot of it still needs to be sorted. So my favorite thing to do is to take one of my existing models, break it down, and rebuild something from scratch using only the pieces from that set. This is a Starfighter I made using only pieces from the 7140 X-wing from 1999. http://www.brickset....ail/?set=7140-1 I am still trying to figure out how to attach a bunch of pictures, so I'll just include a link to the folder on Brickshelf, hopefully by now it will be public! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=525115 Thanks for viewing! I'm looking forward to getting (more) obsessed with this amazing website and forum!
  13. I have been trying to find somewhere to post this for ahwile so correct me if i make some mistakes spefically pic wise. Rebel Assault

When I'm not hosting Mafia Games or doing college work, I do still build things. I've recently grown out of Star Wars, however I was getting a bit bored of my tabletown Lexington (see my signature), so I uprooted it and replaced it with something new. Basically after the destruction of the first Death Star, Commander Luke Skywalker led many small raids against Imperial outposts in the Outer Rim of the Galaxy. After a few Bricklink orders I've gotten a sort of bare-bones base done. I'm thinking of adding a few turrets and maybe ordering the old Millennium Falcon to assist the vastly outmatched Rebel Soldiers. Also I'm thinking of making a new building to replace the Juggernaut. Skywalker inspires his troops and leads them forward. As more troops rush forward and two drivers rush to the A6 Juggernaut. Two medics take out a wounded soldier. The speederbike motor pool. (Not visible in the main photo due to the tank) The small Rebel squad against the larger Imperial Army. There's a landing pad over next to Flight Control. The larger building is an administrative building. And from the back. The rest of the table is just blue plates, then at the very end a small pirates display, but that's for another topic in another part of these forums. (It's nothing too impressive).
  16. Oh, shameless plug time. On my blog I've started writing reviews of The Clone Wars series. I'm not exactly a massive fan of the show, especially not in its first season, but I find myself drawn to critiquing it, for good and for bad. There's certainly a lot of both to be found. I am on the other hand a fan of Chuck Sonnenburg's SFDebris reviews, which were a big influence on me starting this project. Unlike many other internet 'review' shows Chuck doesn't shy away from praising something just so he can make a cheap mocking joke against it. Good episodes get praise, bad episodes get panned, jokes are made about everything. So yeah, I decided to take every episode of The Clone Wars in turn, and write a review. As of today I'm nine episodes in (updates are normally on Sundays and Wednesdays), and am definately going to push through to the end of the first season, probably beyond. Below are direct links to each of the episode reviews. Ambush Rising Malevolence Shadow of Malevolence Destroy Malevolence Rookies Downfall of a Droid Duel of the Droids Bombad Jedi Cloak of Darkness And now, just like that nice lady in the supermarket with the bite-size pretzel bits, I bring you the greatest thing known to man! FREE SAMPLES! Omnomnomnnom.
  17. I would like to mention the second edition of The Star Wars LEGO Minifigure Catalog. This second edition includes all the 2012 Star Wars Minifigures and I am proud to have a photograph for every minifigure. The book also contains a new name index.
  18. I'll start off by stating I have no idea if I have this in the right forum since the topic covers such a broad spectrum of kits. I'm assuming a mod will slap my wrist and shuffle this off to the appropriate category if I'm mistaken in my posting here I received an email today indicating a 20% off sale at Chapters.ca (canadian) on all city, star wars, chima and ninjago lego. Normally I don't get overly excited over random lego sales BUT lumped into this is the collectible minifig series 7, 8 and 9 all in stock and 20% off. I only received the email today (last day of Feb) and it states "all month long" so I hope they mean March and not just today as the rest of THIS particular month is done in about 6 hrs on the West Coast. Needless to say I'm now expecting some minifig mystery packs in the post.
  19. I have always liked the first Jedi Interceptors so I thought I would try to MOC one better than the official ones. I based mine on Plo Koons JSF but I omitted the stripes because I could not find a conceivable way to do them without stickers. http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/ Constructive criticism welcome. PS: I am typing this on my phone, so if there are mistakes I will have to fix them on my laptop.
  20. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... The escape from Nar Shaddaa begins! The back of the diorama and the Valkyrie... From a captured speeder, Jacen Solo launches himself at the Imperial forces wielding lightsaber and The Force pushing stromtroopers into the polluted clouds below. He doesn't know what's going to hit him! With Luke in tow the Valkyire powers into the sky. THE PLAYERS Jacen Solo ambushes an unwary stormtrooper. Deflecting blaster-fire, Jaina Solo secures Luke's tether to the Valkyrie. Luke Skywalker, older, but ever as strong with The Force. The deadly Boba Fett makes a shocking appearance where the galaxy had once thought him dead! Trooper TK-2407 in pursuit of the enemy. Mynocks abound on Nar Shaddaa. The polluted skies have little effect on these vermin of the skies! The Valkyrie's pilot. My entry to the main section of The Future of Star Wars contest sees an older Luke Skywalker escaping the Imperial Remnant with the help of Jacen and Jaina Solo and the New Republic ship Valkyrie. It's been a hard slog getting this finished, dabbling in lots of different contruction techniques and a lot of trial and error over the course of several late nights. I've even been refering to my wife as the 'LEGO Widow' (thank you so much for your patience). I wanted to encapsualte everything I feel is quintessentially Star Wars: Spaceships! Speeder chases! Adventure! Daring rescues! Imperial entanglements! Wild creatures! Faces old and new! I hope I've managed to capture the spirit of Star Wars - and hope you think so too! Thanks for looking and best of luck with the contest everyone. Tonight, I'm having an early night... Brickshelf folder and all pictures live here when moderated.
  21. Star Wars Episode VIII - Ice Field Chase Ten years after the destruction of the second Death Star, Luke Skywalker and Kyle Katarn are building up the New Jedi Order. They had just christened the first two Jedi starfighters when they are called to the planet Taanab to oversee negotiations for the New Repubic. One of the ambassadors is assassinated by an unknown Sith and the ensuing chase leads into the ice field surrounding Taanab's moon. (Imagine the music played while the Falcon navigated the asteroid field in ESB while viewing.) You can find clearer, larger, and additional photos of the starfighters and some of their functions in my flickr stream here. I figure if there was a chase through an asteroid belt in Episode II and a chase through an asteroid field in Episode V, then there will be a similar scene in Episode VIII. I'm predicting an ice field this time. Best of luck to everyone in the contest, a lot of good entries.

Future of SW Contest: Where's Solo?

This is my entry for the Future of Star Wars Contest in the small category. After spending a year recovering from his stay in the Sarlacc, Boba Fett is back and better than ever. Having heard that Han Solo has traveled to Mandalore to broker a deal for some Beskar to aid the Rebellion's war effort, Fett returns to his cultural homeland to resume the chase; only this time it's personal. At this point, Boba Fett has found the contact that Han is supposed to be meeting... "Fett? I thought you were dead!" "Rumours of my death were greatly exaggerated. Now where's Solo?" Meanwhile... "Hey Chewie, I wonder where our contact is?" "Hurghnnn..." "Yeah, I've got a bad feeling about this too." About the build: This is meant as a back alleyway behind the Oyu'baat pub in Keldabe, with the Kelita river going by. It's based on Karen Traviss's depiction of Mandalore rather than that of the Clone Wars TV series, I believe a grittier less metropolitan Mandalore better suits the people. I figure that if the TV series can throw EU continuity under the bus, the new movies can take precedence over the Clone Wars and restore the EU version of Mandalore. ;) Also, with the prize being offered in the vignette category, a Mandalorian MOC should have some advantage... Thanks to the Erdbeereis and the sponsors for holding such a great contest. Thanks for stopping by!

  25. First of all, I'm so sorry for forgetting to name this "Future of SW contest: Revenge of the Ewoks" (small)". Will I have to redo the whole thing? or is there a way to edit it? D: Behold! The Endor Tree, filled with man eating Jedi Ewoks (They only eat Imperials). It just happens to be that Ewoks have a very high midichlorian count, and that all have potential to become Jedi. They have been trained in the Jedi arts by Luke Skywalker. Their first mission is to clean (eat) the remaining Imperial Storm and Scout Troopers off of Endor... (The MOC is 2 studs less than the maximum size limit for the small entry) Luke Skywalker and the Ewoks....hungry of course YUMMAY DINNER!! ^ Front of the tree house :) Right Side of the house, the storm trooper helmet is a BUTTON for something ;) Back side The top balcony with catapults YUMMYYY YUMMYY YUMMY I GOT A RUMBLE IN MY TUMMY!!
