    [MOC] TARDIS console room segment

Started off the other night making these for something to do: And then of course I had to add to it: Pretty simple MOC, but I'm still pretty new to the whole AFOL scene and I was psyched to be able to put all this together without having to run to BrickLink or Shop@Home. The Dalek and K9 are based on designs I saw online but modified a bit based on looks and, of course, what I had on hand (it was so frustrating to not find a dome piece that was a solid dark gray!). The Doctor is cannibalized from a bunch of Hobbit and Harry Potter guys and a bad-but-I-hope-it-just-looks-like-its-wavy scarf decal. And it really should be white roundels on a light gray wall but I didn't like the look of that as much. I one day want to go back to this and try and figure a way to make the roundels look recessed into the wall, but for my first go at it I'm happy with the result.

    MOC: Blacktron Meteor Monitor Remake

Right, I've been wanting to show off some more space MOC's I had done since last time, however the problem is the fact that I just don't have the cash to get the parts. Thankfully I can at least use MLCAD/LDraw since I made my first MOC I showed a few months ago, which does at least mean I can show off the models. Who knows I might end up being physically able to build them one day, but for now I suppose computer generated design still works well enough. So here goes, I've got a few more I'll show soon. Anyway, not a very big one this time, I decided to do a remake for 2013 of the classic 1875 Blacktron Meteor Monitor. I combined some older traits of the original set, along with some of the more modern design of 7049 Alien Striker (I don't like Alien Conquest to be honest, however some parts like this model were good), and the end result is this. Space Shots Small yes, but is that necessarily a bad thing? Enjoy!

    Firethorn Mech (Working Flamethrower!)

As our final build for the Iron Builder competition we have built a futuristic battle mech with an actual working flame thrower, made completely from Legos! This build uses pneumatic elements to connect three air tanks in series and spew out gasoline through an emptied lego pen... the end result is a 4 foot flame! And I'm sure you'd like to watch the video of it actually shooting Enjoy!

  9. Hello, I just was wondering... am I the only one who bought tons of those sets with 6 or 5 minifigures in them? City, Space, Castle and Pirates... they were FANTASTIC! I really miss a lot those sets. Why doesn't Lego produce them any more? Who would like to have them back? Battlepacks do not reach all countries, and actually they are the closest thing to those sets... but not exactly same thing. So... comments?

    Comic: Project INO

Taking a look back at the many themes Lego has introduced over the years, it can be truly mind boggling... but at the same time, there is a sort of internal logic and evolution over the years. Project INO is an attempt at a long form dramedy comic series using a multitude of lego themes. While still in its infancy, there are many plans for this series. Check out more at http://ino.channel80.org But in the mean time, here is a quick little sample. The background Earth shots are created by Paul Wellington as part of his Brickville project (http://www.flickr.co...os/51756571@N06) and are used with permission, while the ships and photographic sets are original to Project: INO. For those wanting to continue where this leaves off, the comic index can be accessed from the 'archive' button on the side bar at http://ino.channel80.org/

    Multi-terrain diorama

Hello, guys! I'm BrickDuck and i'm new to this forum ... I decided to put all my lego minifigs into one multi-terrain diorama, so i created it in two layers (on ground and underground). So me and my brother started our mini project ... (double click for enlarging photos ...) It ended like this ... On the left, you can see racers' workshop with some random racers chatting while there is Horatio Caine (CSI Miami) following some random gangster ... Next to it, there is a fire/police station with some policemen and firemen around it ... There are also some random pedestrians ... There we have a car accident and young Pepper Roni by the construction place whith two workers (twins Fred&Fred as I named them :) ... Next to construction place, there are pirates and navy soldiers ... There is a pirate jumping from the bridge, a hidden pirate on the other side, a governor and a soldier ... Under the bridge, we have Captain BlackHeart from Doug Vandegrift's Lego Pirates Movie on a boat ... Then we have the medieval part with Cedrick the Bull and Lord Vladek fighting the King and Sir Danju. There is also an old wizard ... And the last part of upper world is the snowy land with Yeti and Flex from Alpha Team series 3 ... (i'll put Ogel there soon) And now for the underground >:D There we have Adventurers searching for the Holy Grail ... There is the Space Centre on the other side separated by a wall ... There we found: Indiana Jones, Irina Spalko, Johnny Thunder, Baron von Barron and other random explorers In the space centre: Technitians, astronausts, Space Cowboy, and many droids from Star Wars :) And don't forget the Superman :) That's it! Tell us your opinion ... Have a nice day! BrickDuck

    MOC: Blacktron Xerra

Hi there, I'm new here but have been lurking for a while. Long story short, I was into Lego from when I was young and then lost interest in about 2008 or so and sold all my Lego stuff, which was a mixture of nice example older sets from the 90s and before, along with a load of older Lego sets I got when I was younger at that time and predictably at that age mixed them all up, so essentially a massive lot of pieces. I also sold most of the NIB older sets I had (big mistake there I was kicking myself soon after that!). At that time I was more interested in having the older sets on display as I'm not really a fan of what is being made setwise now mostly, however I do find the newer parts useful as you'll see next. I still have a soft spot for Lego though and this year decided to come back but not to buy and display older sets anymore, no, this time I wanted to let my creativity show and build my own stuff every so often when time, money and space allows, also to buy a few of my favourite older Lego sets new as I am a bit of a collector too. I've already managed to obtain a few. Anyway, over time, my favourite Lego theme grew to be Space, and from it my favourite subtheme was easily the original Blacktron faction, nothing beats that in terms of coolness to me. After I saw all these MOC's of them going through Flickr and all, I felt that it would be cool to do my own version of Blacktron. I know some people will say that it needs some yellow highlighting bricks, however when I saw pasukaru76's Phase Black Blacktron spacecraft on Flickr, I personally felt that looked amazing so for my personal version of Blacktron I have gone down that path mostly. From that I began work on my first Blacktron craft and first MOC. It started in June, I purchased a few sets for parts along with part orders and took me about a month to get the majority of it done, since mid July I have been finishing and tweaking little details, the last one being what the minifigures will look like, I wanted to make them a bit different while still being recognisably Blacktron. It has now all come to this, I give you the Blacktron Xerra. All pictures. I'll add a few details/story about it later on, for now though I hope you like it.

    [MOC] Alien Castle

I tried to think of an alien-sounding name for the castle, but I failed miserably The water wheel on the side (though it definitely isn't water!) turns a wheel inside that grinds the red crops into alien flour: More pics on flickr. Comments, criticism, and name suggestions welcome
  16. Hello Eurobricks! Artlego, Illarion and I decided that I'll make the remaining parts of the Xenoarchaeologist trilogy by myself. I hope that both people who are unfamiliar with Warhammer 40000 and WH40k fans will like this story. The first part hasn't been released here yet due to translation issues, but it isn't required for understanding this story. This is not a beginning or a prologue of the second part but a trailer for it. Moreover, it's my first theme with photos matching EB requirements to resolution (800x533 or less). P.S. I hope you won't require a glossary but if you do, answer me. So, Allons-y! 815.M41 Year eight hundred fifteen of the forty-first millennium AD. In deep jungle of a far planet, one of the so-called Death Worlds... -Be careful, Seth. Try not to light some monster's eyes - this jungle is full of them. -For the Emperor's sake, Troy! Don't scare me. I've been serving in the Guard for five years and I count as a veteran here. Two Imperial Guardsmen were moving quietly through deadly jungle. One of them called Seth was illuminating the path with his torch while the other called Troy was carrying a vox-caster required to connect with the town. They were the last survivors in their squad which was sent to jungle by the Planetary Governor himself, and their mission was very important... "Look at this, Troy," they were speaking quietly, in nearly whispering voice because wild animals could hear them. "Oh my Emperor," whispered surprised Troy. "It can't be," said Seth. Imperial Guardsmen saw stone ruins in the jungle. A large stone plate covered with moss and grass looked like a sacrificial table and was likely made by non-humans. "I'm sure it's that thing we're looking for," Seth said proudly, "Troy, tell the Governor." But then they heard someone's loud and cheeky voice. "Puny humies! Duz ya know we'z da shootiest in da Galaxy?" "Orks! Run!" veteran Seth realized quickly. Orks pointed their built from scratch shootas at the Guardsmen and opened fire on them. "Dakkadakkadakka!!!" they shouted loudly simulating sounds of firearms. The Guardsmen ran quickly through the jungle. They couldn't overcome the superior Ork forces. If they were alive, the whole squad could defeat the Orks but now there were only two survivors. They were lucky that there were trees around them and that the Orks had usually poor shooting skills. Seth hid from Orkish bullets behing the bush and shot the Orks with his lasgun. Troy thought that was rather stupid. "If you want to die for the Emperor, I don't think now is the best time!" And he was right. An Orkish bullet mortally wounded the overconfident veteran. The torch fell from his hand and blew out. Troy didn't look back. He had no time to take his killed fellow. He hid behind a tree and decided to call the Governor. While Orks were trying to find the puny humie, the Guardsman took his vox caster. "Lord Governor, sir." he said quickly because every second counted, "We've found some ruins to the west from the river! Mission accomplished." "Good job, Guardsman," Governor said and drank amasec from his goblet, "Transmission over." And he hung his vox. Guardsman Troy put his vox caster down and saw the strangest Ork he'd ever seen. That Ork had a primitive wooden peg leg and his head was covered by lots of Hairy Squigs (Xenobiologist's note: Orks do not grow hair so they use hair-like parasites instead). He was holding a mushroom common in this jungle and a wooden staff with feathers. "Ya remind me somefink of," the Ork said slowly. He was looking at Troy with his mad red eyes. The Guardsman tried to yell but he couln't. He wanted to shoot the Ork with his lasgun but some unknown power stopped him. Also other Orks with shootas appeared near the weird Ork. "Mumbo-jumbo, hocus-pocus, alakazam!" the Ork was singing joyfully. Troy called the Emperor in spirit but that didn't help him. Shining lightning bolts appeared from the Ork's staff and the Guardsman's head exploded. Orks laughed in concert. Meanwhile, aboard the colossal spaceship carrying a part of the once mighty Eldar race... The wise Farseer of this Craftworld who lead his people since olden times, was lost in thought. With his psychic abilities he saw threads of destiny and all their cobwebs. He saw dozens of possible futures but he didn't know what to do for making one of them a reality. And one human visited him in visions. He didn't know him but his face pursued him in dreams. The Farseer closed his eyes and tried to track that human in the future but he saw only ancient ruins belonging to a race older than the Eldar... He called Autarch Erestril, a commander-in-chief of the Craftworld's warhost. "The runes told me that death would come to the same place as earlier, Erestril," the Farseer said in calm and vocal Eldar voice. "I'll rally the warriors, Farseer," Autarch responded. "There is no need," Farseer refused, "I'll go there alone". There was horror in Autarch's clear eyes. And a human head continued to look from the crystal ball... "So gentlemen," the Governor invited Lord General of the Imperial Guard and Master of planetary Administratum, "We have urgent business." "At first, we need a XENOARCHAEOLOGIST," the Governor declared. Interesting facts (some behind-the-scenes and trivia). Please read after the story.

  18. Having fun with the Galaxy Squad theme. Lovin' this series of sets (and pieces!) Back at the nest bug neophytes build a new egg with crystals from the planet while more mature bugs patrol the area. Young bug posing with his new viper. "How you doin' ?" (said with thick New York accent) Bug patrol ship The landing mechanism for the bug patrol unit. Lower wings tuck back and the third leg swings down. Surprisingly stable. The angles coming off the bar frame for the wings. I've got an 2L axil going through the back of the bar frame to the plate (with holes) on the front to add some strength. In 1979 Denmark quietly launched the Earth's first deep space exploration ship. Little did they know that their first encounter would be with the bugs Yeah the hood is hard to see over but that's the price you pay when you wanna look good in your viper. The Beetle

When the crew of the NeverGetEZer cannot land on a system, or are only delivering a small item, they use their shuttle, The Beetle: It's designed to blend in with most 'small cargo' transports used at the time. The only entrance is at the rear. Passengers must go through the cargo storage to reach the cabin. The cabin has the latest in steering technology: a wheel. And enough space for any extra passengers or crew who are travelling. Anyways... this will be part of a future comic I'm working on. But this time around I hope to post a lot of the scenes and vehicles as creations aswell. It needs to be written fully first so I don't plan on posting the first part anytime soon. So, thanks for looking!

MOC - Dragonclaw - Space Starfighter

What you might say is a townie building something sci-fi ? Well, I was looking for some parts for a town project and found some black dragon components from a sea monster from the Atlantis series. So now I present DRAGONCLAW...... This craft has two rear and four side thrusters, two forward heavy PSC's (what I call Plasma Shock Cannons) and two small PSC's which is for protection from rear attack. Said rear guns are adjustable too. I'm not sure when I will create my next fighter.....I need that spark on finding that odd ball part. Comments welcome just like in the town forum.
