    [MOC] Robot Recharge Room

Here we are at the Robot Recharge Room. A place for our metal mates the metropolis over to rest up, power down and then power back up before going back out to their dismal lives of servitude. More angles and close-ups are in the full album here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72177720310279857 Or come find me on Instagram: @rubblemaker_lego Thanks for looking!

    [moc] UN-S21 Mining Survey Vehicle

Here is my latest creation and a little lore that fed into the design. I made the speeder moc a while ago but just finished the base. I had a bunch of vibrant yellow 1x6 bricks and 1x12 plates along with Lime 1x2 curved slopes and plates from the PAB wall and set about using them here. So without further ado: In the dense atmosphere, pilots rely on instrumentation to avoid areas of high pressure which cause the crystallization of nitrogen and methane gas in the atmosphere. These 'gasbergs' have been the cause of many devastating collisions. The S21 features several innovations uniquely suited for use on the mining colony; a fully sealed body able to withstand the extreme pressures and highly caustic atmosphere of Saurus. Stabilizing piers with regular and inverted repulsers offer stability in turbulent gas currents needed to operate sensitive long-range sensors. The most unusual feature is the onboard nitrogen harvester. The nitrogen can be used to fuel the booster phase of the twin ion/combustion engines, allowing repeated orbital insertions without the need for refueling stations. When fired, the boosters ignite atmospheric xenon-nitrogen, producing distinctive green contrails.
  3. The four agents set out from Heroica Hall winding their way through the Ebria Station's main level. The station is bustling with vendors hawking wares in the bazaar, shipping containers being unloaded, and laborers working on the endless construction and maintenance of the super structure. The group eventually make their way down Starbright Street turning off opposite the Blackguard Security Substation. The architecture takes on a more naturalistic tone, archways and windows mimicking winding plants and stone structures. Foliage creeps and crawls over most of the buildings and the air feels fresh and crisp. Little Aluriel seems aptly named as most of the surrounding apartments and business are populated with dozens of Dwarves and Elves. Traditional Dwarven weapon smiths hammer away at their star forges, elven herbalists perfect new tinctures and biologics, and the smell of fresh mead, pastries, and delicacies permeate the air. It doesn't take winding down one of the alleyways before they spot Ozzorli's Pizzaria, a small hole in the wall restaurant, a xenon sign of an axe carving into a pizza illuminates the crowded quarters. The cozy eatery exudes warmth and a distinct feel of the old world, ivy growing on the walls, wooden beams decorated in gold plate and intricate carvings supporting the low ceiling, a Dwarven blunderaxe hanging over the door. Crates, barrels, and sacks of ingredients are crammed into every corner of the shop, but a half dozen seats along the bar and around the room allow for a modest gathering of patrons. A giant forge turned pizza oven dominates the interior of the shop, glowing with tremendous heat as a Dwarven chef plies his peel. A Celestial and an Elf, already seated, enjoy goblets of ale and wine, welcome pairings to their piping hot pizzas. A Dwarven woman hails the agents as they enter. "Oye, welcome to Ozzorli's! I'm Margot. Feel free to have a seat. Let me know if I can get ya anything." 5. Five heroes set out from Heroica Hall just making their transport shuttle to Recivic. The Æthergate voyage to the Vicrar system is unnoteworthy and the team touches down for a momentary layover in the Recivic capital of Jöklofistur before catching a tundra hopper to the frozen town of Vindkoss. The wild wind whips and whirls sending freezing snow into their faces as the group inquire of a few local Cricet for Mervin Softpaw. They are soon directed to the Frozen Flame Tavern. The warm glow of infrared lamps permeates the tavern as a dozen Cricet sit around sipping hot drinks of cocoa, coffee, and mulled wine. A cheery tune plays across the hall as the chatter quiets upon the heroes' entrance, but picks up again as an older graying Cricet approaches the team. "Oh hey there, look at you lot. Stacked to the gills with weaponry, tools, and armor ain't ya? You're either the fiercest and most diverse team of Ivishin mushers we've ever seen, or you be the folks from Heroica, no?" 6. The headquarters of White Knight Surveillance sits in stark contrast to the other glitzy buildings of the Platinum Way. The imposing structure's architecture harkens back to a by gone era with ornate stone pillars and reliefs of warriors on chargers banners unfurled. The two Chimerans and Varen make their way inside and are greeted by a friendly secretary. Inquiring about Agent Oddsphere the trio are ushered into a cramped but tidy office. A Quaarm floats behind a desk reading from their holo-pad. "Ah heroes, right on schedule... I do so love punctuality. Won't you come in to my humble work space? Pardon my mess, my case load is a bit overwhelming at the moment and I'm running out of filing space. I'm Agent Oddsphere, epsilon cohort at your service." [MOC] UCS scale ED-209

Hi all, It's been an ambition of mine to create my own ED-209 for about 2 years now. Ever since I saw him stride onto the screen in the original Robocop I've thought he was the most badass looking robot I've ever seen. So here, standing 25cm high, weighing over 1kilo and made of 1473 pieces is my UCS scale ED-209. His head rotates and his arms move at the elbow joints so he can be posed as well. Instructions for ED are purchasable from Rebrickable here: https://bit.ly/3lrAfu1 The full album for ED can be found here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72157719629362696 Thanks for looking :)
  8. What do you do if you get 28 mudguards in a LEGO bulk buy? Yes, that’s right. You build a spaceship with them. Meet ACE (Asteroid Crystal Excavator). This chap braves the perilous boulder belts of our Solar System drilling into asteroids and filtering them through the gills either side of his ship searching for precious metals, gems and relics. He can also catch anything that tries to float away using the ships rear mounted pincer grips. And all that booty is stored in convenient compartments either side of the engine for the long trip back home. 10. Hoots! Gloryhammer aren't visiting the mighty land of Cymru, but I have created some little plastic version to make up for it. If you were not aware, Gloryhammer are a metal band. Their latest album Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards has been pretty much on repeat in my Car. Being a little bored and thinking that the promo shot: Had a number of elements that matched well with LEGO I in fact owned... I couldn't resist! The castle in the background is Caerphilly Castle, I visted there today with my sister and her friends, but it has long been a favourite of the family to visit. I thought it would make a pretty epic backdrop. Hope you enjoy these figs!

  13. Hi there, Having in mind for a long time to make a scene about Space Police I theme and more generally about space classic, I began by designing a new spaceship in the Space Police I sub-theme. This ship purpose is to haul prison cell between bases. It can carry 4 standardised prison cells. It has only two front lasers for self defense, but must be escorted by other starships for its defense. SP1 Cell Hauler by dorian glacet, sur Flickr Regarding the Moc itself, it has been influenced by other mocs seen here or on flickr. I started from an old moc of mine (see here). Side access are inspired by Coja's Star Citizen Aurora MOC. Side engines by Backward matt's work on SciFi design, and rear engine by Space_cat27 Mining ship. For now there's only one render made of this digital moc. I hope I'll be able to build it in real birck later and go ahead with the project I intend to do, that will contain this ship, two others which purpose is to escort the cell hauler, a scene around the landing pad, and maybe some monorail into it :)

    [MOC] Speeder Bike - Trenner

Breaking all the rules. I found more than 12 of those brick separators when tidying my build table. Not to mention the box I already have and all the others. So I built a speeder. I like speeder bikes. I like using weird parts to build with and making odd connections with the little elements. I also love to combine a bright colour "chassis" with greys/silvers as the mechanical parts. The technic cross axle peg was vital, as it provided an actual connection to the separator that was viable. Everything else connects to it. This was plenty of fun to build, playing around with connections. The name is a nod to the seed element of this build. Comments etc are welcome

    [MOC] Teithiwr (Traveller)

This is my attempt at a "harder" SciFi build, something a little more real. Keeping that in mind, I looked at the aesthetic of current and past space exploration vessels, both realised and theoretical. I imagined this as some sort of smaller scout craft that would be sent out from a larger vessel. Teithiwr is Traveller in Welsh, a name I thought apt for a little spacecraft set out to chart new corners of the universe. Onward brave explorer! The Pilot is currently flying the craft. Of course, without the constraints that a LEGO Minifig necessitates I could have positioned a pilot a little better. If a minifig was human scaled then it would not be as charming though, so I will happily work with them when I build The propulsion unit, keeping in mind that in space there is no air resistance to work around, inertia means the thrusters are only there to manoeuvre around. I hope you like this MOC, it was a fun and new challenge for me to keep things a little more "down to earth" so to speak.

    Inspiration- A Space Pirate Ship.

Get ready to sail the 7 star systems with this fearsome vessel! Solar powered light speed engines, a fearsome crew of 4, plus their one legged captain, this ship is ready to tangle with anyone who comes across it! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/f8b37d14-140b-4d3c-a43c-04b246421ffc/comments_tab?comment_uuid=548d54cb-e7c5-498b-a41f-77cbcc5359df#comment-548d54cb-e7c5-498b-a41f-77cbcc5359df&gid=1&pid=1
  17. ICE PLANET IS BACK! My latest build is an armoured vehicle decked out in Ice Planet livery used by the peaceful men as a mobile research laboratory. Ice Planet 2002 was a subtheme of LEGO Space introduced in 1993 and marked by a very cool color scheme: white, blue and trans-neon orange. Even if I've never played with these paceful guys (at that time I was a teen with other interests on my head) I've always appreciated this series. The ground vehicle is not equipped with weapons but with a lot of retro space components. Ice Planet are in fact engaged in secret researches about renewable energy rather than interplanetary wars. The canopy opens to expose a detailed little interior with such an assortment of retro-tech computers and equipment. More info and pictures here. I hope you like it The Ice Planet vehicle joins the other space armoured vehicles I built in the last few years: 1) Space Tank in Classic Space livery; 2) White Tiger Futuron Tank; 3) UFO Shado Mobile Evo; 4) B-59 Blacktron APC. Thanks for stopping by.
  18. Blacktron is back! Hello from Italy! Tonight I share my latest build: a big, bad and totally black armoured personnel carrier. It's based on U-59 Explosive Truck from Joe 90, a 1960s British science-fiction television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson (the same producers of U.F.O. It's called B-59 where B stands for Blacktron, in fact this six-wheel APC is the new and lethal groud vehicle of Blacktron. The little ATV on the right is based on the Amphicat, a six-wheel-drive, skid steer amphibious all-terrain vehicle manufactured in the '60s by Mobility Unlimited Inc. of Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Amphicat was also used by Moonbase Alpha personnel in the television series Space: 1999. Back view and tank entrance. The interior with many details. This time thanks - to a friend of mine who is a pro-filmmaker - I produced a presentation video of the B-59. Below on YT. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by! B-59 on flickr.
  19. Here's a small rendition of the police spinner from Blade Runner 2049. I wanted to build it almost completely in metallic silver, which wasn't so easy capturing the shape properly. The gun on the top is inspired by some concept art like this one. In the movie there's a drone instead integrated into the vehicle. Hope you like it :) Best, Johannes

    [MOC] Zeren

Armed with a sawed-off shotgun and a powerful sniper rifle, this intergalactic bounty hunter is prepared for any threat. Imgur album A MOC I've had since early 2010, finally looking like he belongs in 2018. I really doubled down on the sci-fi soldier influences for this new version, pulling from Samus, Doomguy, Master Chief, and the Titan Spectre armor from Destiny. Special thanks to L.A. Miranda, Constraction Deva, and Djokson for helping to bring this version to life. Their input and techniques went the longest way for this new version, and I couldn't be more grateful.

    [MOC] VEC-3 "Rhino"

Here's Garry, introducing the Variable Exploration Craft model 3, nicknamed "Rhino", though more for its slight resemblance to a rhinoceros beetle (and its appropriately somewhat clumsy flight capabilities) than anything to do with the majestic large african mammal, but don't tell him that. Note the tail fins in the back. There's more to this than you might think. The basis for this build was the legs, in particular the way they connect to the body involving these parts. I feel like I got lucky with how sturdy this turned out to be, as unsupported single-stud connections can be incredibly delicate and fiddly, especially as far as moving parts are concerned. ...though the stability of the rear wheel connection seems to depend entirely on the individual tolerances of those stud/half-pin parts and how well they hold a bar through the pin end; I went through a few before finding some that held well enough. There's almost certainly a better way to do this. Everything I build needs some kind of flexible joint, now in the form of moving legs/suspension for tough terrain. When the terrain is too tough, the VEC-3 can take to the air! During the build, I thought the legs looked kind of like a quadcopter when they were spread out like this, so I worked in a simple transformation feature. Finally the underside, for a better view of how it's built. Full gallery with some more pics can be found here!
