    [ENTRY] Purple Privates (Mini Set)

Hi rowers! In mind of the small "rowboat" sets, like 6245, I build an entry for the Mini Set category: Purple Privates - feared by all pirates I made three rowboats, so let me know which is your favourite, i will pick the best tomorrow evening as the official entry. Here we have private O. and his first mate Scar. Both in a rowboat with purple benches and rapier. As the contest only allows 50pcs, the forthcoming rowboats can be interpretet as an eytra, to show what can be possible with the colour scheme: The next ones are monsieur C. and Dante - the duck. The duck is one of the best rowers on the seven seas and due to constant rowing wearing no uniform, so the water can cool him and a thick layer of salt protects him froim the sun (and also showing off his epic duck tattoo!). I even created their own purple flag (normally I never make custom prints besides sails)! Last but not least, there is private C. - the cook. Besides his fast shooting skills, he is a magnificent cook and knows how to infiltrate every fortress through the kitchens cellars. Here I have some pics with the full fleet. I think there could be a complete new fraction based on this colour scheme. If you like them, most of the parts are currently available at PAB online. Probably the three privates with rapiers will make a nice group of three purple musketeers, too! I hope you like purple, pink and orange soldiers as well!
  2. My last (propably) entry is a remake of another small, yet living in infamy, set: 6245, Harbour Sentry: There are so many things wrong here, which I decided to fix. First of all, the laws of Physics defying giant cannon on such a small boat. Second of all, why Lieutenant De Martinet, a high ranking officer of Imperial Army, and right hand man of Governor Broadside is rowing the boat by himself? Surely he would designate such menial task to a low ranking lackey. And he doesn't even have a place to store his personal weaponry, he had to clip his pistol on the cannon, and carry his cutlass on his lap. This is unacceptable! So, let us turn this dinky ol' dinghy, into a true, bona-fide gunboat! ARRRR, Now, that's more like it! A sturdy, yet smooth and curvy rowboat, with a small, yet still functional howitzer as a main weapon. There's plenty of space for De Martinet, one of his Marines, an amunition barrel, and any accessories and weapons our brave Lieutenant would need when patroling the docks of El Dorado Fortress! Hope you like it me mateys!

    [MOC] Heading Upriver

Historical Build 1519 Spanish Conquistador Hernan Cortes arrives on the mainland of the New World. After disembarking his ship he, along with a small group of soldiers, row upriver through the mangrove swamps of Eastern Mexico in search of the famed Aztec Empire. PART 1 of a Continuing series. 4. The fishing and trading skiffs and rowboats of Quinnsville Small Fishing Boats 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr In the summer months when the Brick Seas are relatively calm, the Quinnsville fisherman and traders brave the waters to put food on their tables. Small Fishing Boats 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Some row close to shore to net the schools of fish that swim in great abundance. Small Fishing Boats 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Others use a rod and reel to catch fish, but occasionally get more than anticipated... Small Fishing Boats 4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Some of the larger skiffs can travel greater distances to nearby harbors to trade cocoa and spices among other things. Small Fishing Boats 5 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr After a hard days work, the boats are dragged up onto shore and their supplies are put into elevated houses for safe keeping until they can secure a buyer or until the seas are calm enough to travel to another port. Here is a build for me to license some class 0 boats. I also have been wanting to try out some small hull designs, and I especially like how the larger skiffs turned out! C&C are welcome and appreciated! @Bregir I would like to license all 10 of these small boats. The first two boats in the second picture are just standard rowboats, but I believe I added enough to make them licensable. There are four of the larger skiffs that have sails and one without a sail. They all feature different colors, cargo, and crews so I think they classify as all different boats as well. I think I know the answer, but are they too small to be classified as class 1 boats? Lastly, the three small brick built rowboats are all different in the same way as the skiffs. I don't plan on licensing the beach portion at all.

"It seemed to him that all the monkeys on the whole island were laughing at him. And, as a matter of fact, they were." "So the Red Fandango was near an island?" Lady de Summers put in. "Oh, yes," Captain Cookie returned. "He had just landed from the Sparkle in a little dinghy to search for the treasure. You will remember that according to the maps, the wreck of the 8 Provinces was to be found in an island's cove." "The look on his face immediately told his companions of his lack of success - though of course, he hadn't been foolish enough to let them know all the particulars. He was no Trelawney - not he! "This, naturally, cast his mates down into the dregs too. Well, at least it cast his first mate Wilkes into the sulks - Jim was always happy in any situation as long as he didn't have to row, and he had done the job on the voyage out..." "They set out to return to the ship, but already the Red Fandango was thinking of what his next move would have to be." To be continued... Another build for Captain Braunsfeld's storyline, and another rowboat from me! Those are really remarkably fun to build! One more overview shot (without the boat): And now the story is back over to Captain B! Enjoy, C&C are welcome!

    [MOC] Imperial Fort Point Terran

Hello all! I've been building, rebuilding and adding to this build for quite a while. I built this fort because I recently got some of the new bluecoat sets, and I got the Bluecoat fort, and I thought it was a bit unfair for my Redcoats for not having a fort at all. So I made one. I would've posted this MOC sooner, but due to lack of water pieces, the MOC wasn't complete. Yesterday, I got enough water pieces to fill up the ocean part of the MOC. The Fort is not based off of anything really, I didn't use any pictures to build it, I sort of just built it. *Note* Although I'm posting it as complete, I'd really like some further suggestions, and the chances are I will add to the fort as I get more Bricks, maybe even expanding it or something. So if you have any suggestions/comments or even criticism, PLEASE share it. This is my first fort, and my 3rd Pirate MOC. Now, let's see the fort. Here is Fort Point Terran. Fort1 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Here is the front view of the fort. Do note, in some pictures the lighting may be a bit strange so please, forgive me. We have the front of the small fort, along with some rock the fort was built into. Off to the left, we see the Governor's rowboat arriving. Fort2 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr A close-up of the rocks. A fort's officer, and one of my favourite redcoat awaits the Admiral. Fort3 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The back of the fort. The Fort's only cannons are at the back. I think it looks pretty good. Fort4 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr "The Governor's arrival". Here's a good look at the water. A fair mix of clear, dark and light blue bricks. Fort5 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The left side of the fort. A parrot looks around, well sitting on the fort's wall. A bit more of the rocky wall, only a bit lighter. Fort6 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Okay, I don't see how the men can do this everyday. A super small space, with the fort's ammunition supply, cannons, soldiers, small "jail" and the Commander's table. Fort7 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Another view. Fort8 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Lastly, the overview of the fort. My personal favourite picture that depicts the fort, It shows the whole interior. Well, I've hope you've enjoyed. I will continue building forts, ships and vignettes for pirates. Please, tell me what you think, i'd love to know how to fix/update or expand the fort, or just see you opinion. Thanks for reading!

    30' Landing Craft

172A It's a Longboat or Jolly Boat right now, but I'll be converting it into a Cutter when I get the chance. In other words, it'll get sails someday. I've made one of these before in white eons ago. There were only minor improvements in the hull and the rudder is completely remade. I like this design of this rudder much more. I've recently acquired the key bricks needed to make this vessel possible at a draft of the Forest Animals set last weekend during a WisLUG meeting. Enjoy!

    "Now What?..."

[pid][/pid]231C "I ask ye, Cap'n, whose idea was it to attack that vessel?" Lew inquired coldly. "Arrr!! Belay that!" Captain Mark growled, "How was I supposed to know that the ship we attacked was part of a very well-guarded treasure fleet!?" "We might have at least taken a look about before giving them a hearty broadside..." grumbled Bob. "Shipmates, there be no need for quarreling. As soon as we step ashore on yonder island we'll get us a new boat and sail the seas once again!" The Captain's talk calmed his disgruntled crew but then the first mate called out... "Ahoy Captain!" "Arrr! Forget it Preston! You know as well as I that we ran out of rum yesterday..." "No, Captain, there is a ship on the port side but a half a mile away! I think she be one of the Spanish Galleons that gave us a rough reception a few days past." They all sat in silence for a moment. The stillness was broken when Captain Mark bellowed... "Row for your lives, me hearties!! She's set her course straight for us!" "That's a mighty hard thing to do when we only got one paddle Cap'n...!" ...... To be continued. Arrr.. The first of many pirate scenes to come. Thanks for viewing and have a great day!
