    [MOC] Fallout 2 Chrysalis Highwayman

For a while now I've been thinking.... "Why doesn't anybody make fallout mocs?" So 2 hours later and a box of lemonheads I came up with this. From left to right the characters are as follows: The Chosen One, Marcus the Supermutant, Dogmeat, and an Enclave Soldier. I also made this mini cactus build. I made it to resemble the death screen in fallout 1 and 2. Thanks for checking it out! Also be sure to leave any feedback in the comments.
  2. I made a retro MOC of 8860 from 1980. The LEGO 8860 is a classic one that I will call a theme because it is so many private persons who has made different versions of it. My moc has all the functions that the original one has plus suspention also on front wheels. 3 speed gearbox, 4 sylinders, adjustable seats, suspention on all wheels, and steering, of course.
  3. These diesel F7-like locos were inspired by set 10020, (Santa Fe Super Chief) and my dark bluish gray with white / light gray stripes train cars. The cab and booster units feature no interior details because I have no need for such items on my layout.. that and retrofitting all my trains with inside stuff would be quite costly. The name of this train these engine's pull is a play off the Missouri River Runner, a real train that Amtrak runs from Kansas City to St. Louis. The Meramec River runs next to the Wabash Frisco & Pacific, so I switched the name to the Meramec River Runner for my railroad. The number 7301 goes on the sides of the nose just before the windscreen, while BRS (standing for my railroad's name, Brick Railway Systems) should go in the middle of the cab unit's sides, just above the fuel tank. (I don't have all the tiles yet, so their is a blank spot for the railway name) The nose features two headlights and a split windscreen. The rear of each of the locos feature doorways to the next engine compartment, and / or the passenger train itself. Combination baggage and passenger car. (I built these cars a while ago, (about 2 years) but they needed better pictures and go with the newer diesel locomotives, so here they are.) three identical passenger coaches The observation coach of the Meramec River Runner. This car lacks the letters BRS (standing for Brick Railway Systems) but it is owned by that line. The train cars by themselves are inspired by the Wabash Frisco & Pacific passenger cars, except these are dark gray and not blue. Their is no LDD file for this train, but comments, questions, complaints, and suggestions are always welcome!
  4. I was on vacation some time ago and I stayed with my family. They had some old LEGO from the 90's, mostly City and Western. Of course I had to tackle this mass of plastic to see what can be done :) So, it's not my usual build, but it gave me a lot of fun and some appreciation for the parts palette we have today :) I'm sorry for the picture quality, I did not have any white background save for the table cloth with lots of patterns on it ;) Full gallery is here: http://bricksafe.com/pages/Mestari/mountain-hut---retro-style

    [MOC] Forbidden Planet

This is a set I made for LEGO Ideas, but I figured I'd share it here as well. I'm still very new on Eurobricks and this is only the very first MOC that I've posted, so I'm open any tips anyone has to offer about how to format these sorts of posts in the future. The set is based on science fiction classic Forbidden Planet and includes minifigs of all the main characters from the film, including a block-built version of Robbie the Robot, plus the weird unnamed space-car thing that Robbie drove around. I also included a minifig-scale lego version of the film's poster. I tried to make everything as accurate to the film as it was possible to get at that scale, including custom decorations for the uniforms complete with accurate rank insignias. Here's some various angles of the car thing. Sadly, I wasn't able to make it so the front opens like in the film. Here's some of Robbie. Funnily enough, he actually has greater range of articulation than the original Robbie costume/prop did. And here's some closer looks at the poster I designed for it Let me know what you think. If you like it, please take the time to support it on Lego Ideas.
  6. Get ready to blast off into the unknown vastness of outer space! This model was inspired by set 3831, (Rocket Ride, from the 2008 Spongebob line) albeit with a pointier nose cone, and gray color scheme. The model now has a enlarged engine section with longer tail fins and four more engines, along with a crew of two humans and a robot helper. One of the human astronauts can even be seated in the fold-open cockpit. (The below story line is 100% fiction.) This ship is the forerunner for all of the other Lego space ships: in 1969, this crucial piece of history launched from LegoLand Space Port for a mission to the moon. This was very soon after the failed 1965 launch of 801-series Space Rocket, which killed the the brave crew of Kat Aclysm: female rocket science genius and designer of the experimental ship, and Abraham "Abe" Normal, the best test pilot in the academy. Their deaths at the Samsonite launch pad were not in vain though, as the newly founded LegoLand Aero-Space Authority (renamed Classic Space Command in 1978) rebuilt their reputation as the premier brick-built space agency by launching the "Innovator", also known as LL002 which in early August 1969 made history as the first mini figure - built object on the moon! This rocket and it's crew (Bill Fold, Penny Wise, and S1L-V3R the robot) made history with their two days on the moon's surface, providing the foundations for the Classic Space Moon-base series of missions. The model without the figures The model now has a enlarged engine section with longer tail fins and four more engines. The rocket features an opening section to get at the interior which now only consists of the cockpit. The model was too weak in real life when the whole thing opened up, so I was forced to solidify every section to keep it from falling apart. The trans-clear windscreen part should have this print. The crew of this fateful mission was commander Bill Fold and scientist Penny Wise, along with their robot helper S1L-V3R. (nicknamed Silver) The robot is inspired by the robot customer in the 2007 set number 4981 (another Spongebob set called The Chum Bucket), while the astronauts were inspired by the Sandy Cheeks mini-figure in set 3831. The mini-figures should feature this torso print. MISSION NOTES: Here is the inspirational set 3831, courtesy of Brickset... ...and here is the original real life version of the rocket. The LDD file for the updated rocket itself is here. As usual, comments, questions, complaints and suggestions are welcome! EDIT 6/24/17: LDD file and pictures updated for the larger and now multi-engine rocket.

    Wind-up Robot

The all time classic toy of the 20th century and to me the coolest toy right after LEGO now finally in brick form! This is my project for LEGO Ideas. It uses a classic blocky body and cubic head design to make it simple and cute. It is, as you can see, decorated with a control panel on the chest, a face with two scary red eyes and a cool little window on it's back that lets you watch the mechanism at work. And it can really walk!!! Let me know which colour and which design (arms, antennas, etc.) you like more Thank you. If you like it, please support on LEGO Ideas.

    [MOC] Moon Mayhem

This was something like a super-fast build for a LUG contest, simply with theme "space". Our hero must save Moon Governor's daughter from Plutonian Mining Robot Warrior. I wanted to achieve B-movie look, so I built the robot as toy-ish as possible, and made the minifigs arther ridiculous. I also tried to use several odd parts, like the egg dome, contrainer halves on the legs and shoulder pads, and one of them Rock Riders drills (polished and everything). There are few more shots and talk on Cyclopic Bricks. Enjoy.

  12. Hi, guys! This is Alex - Yakov's son. My father was unwell a little. The heart infarction was alarmed at work, as a result. He asked me to lay out this model. I will tell in confidence, this crane very much is pleasant to me. Well, here you look... -Motor. 4-cylinder, in-line, mounted longitudinally. Due to the complex design of the windscreen and bonnet of rise small, it was decided to make transparent cylinders. Now when the vehicle can observe the work of the engine. - Steering. - Rear axle with differential. Torque is transmitted to the motor through a complex system of gears, due to the fact that the axis of the differential gear and the rack are aligned. -Side Support connected in pairs on each side and down-climb worm mechanism is used to drive the "curve starter." - Differential switch. It is possible to scroll the motor with the help "a curve starter". - The opening doors. - Lifting mechanism of an arrow. A little noisy mechanism, but it allows to fix an arrow in any situation. - The cargo winch is supplied with the same mechanism. - Maximum height. -I forgot to tell. The father with this model won first place at competition "LEGO Technic Russia". Competition was organized and carried out by Egor (rm8). yours sincerely, Alex.

    Masters of the Universe

Here are some of the figures from Masters of the Universe. Myself I did not have any figures as a kid, but I remember that I often enjoyed looking in the toys catalogues and thought they looked really cool. My favourite during that time was Hordak. These brickbuilt figures I have tried to build as small as possible, but with details and as close to the original as possible.
  14. A boys (probably) room from the 80s. I got inspiration to this model after watching some 80s movies that contained scenes similiar to this one (such as E.T., Goonies etc) and saw how cosy and detailed these rooms were, filled with toys, but still well-decorated and organazied for the movie. Perhaps you recognize some of the toys?
  15. I saw a video clip from an old 80s TV show, where there was a scene similiar to this one. I thought that scene represented a kitchen from the 70/80s very well, and I got very inspired to build it in LEGO! I thought it was interesting to build in a larger scale, because some LEGO parts can then resemble new things (such as the lamp and the blinds) that they normally would not in minifig scale.

    Retro Arcade & Games

Hi everyone! I`ve just put my Retro Arcade & Games MOC out at Lego Ideas. This is a design I´ve made by my own and I wanted to catch a kinda middle-1990`s-feeling of games and LAN. My brother founded a Internet Cafe back in 1995 and it was the first place in our town to offer LAN gaming/LAN parties and easy internet access for everyone. PacMan was a 80`s thing and I don`t know about you but I sure played the game a lot into the 90` as well. That is the reason for a potential mismatch. There`s three coin-op machines in the 2nd floor. It`s easy to add more by removing the LANcomputers. I`m born in 1979 so I remember both decades very well and have a lot of good childhood memories. The pictures speak for themselves but I`ve used a 16 x 32 baseplate and the building consist of approx 850 pieces. I think this would be a fun and great addition to any Lego City! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/78146 Thank you

  19. Here’s a page from the past! This is a brick tribute to Motorola’s Bravo Plus numeric pager. Back in the 1990s, before there was WhatsApp or Candy Crush, you’re way cool if you’ve got this beeper on your pants (or in your handbag). Never mind that you still need to find a payphone to return the page. A true classic. [LDD MOC] Black Sedan

Today I wanted to show you a car I designed just yesterday. Originally I just wanted to try and use this part as rear lights in a car MOC, even though I suspect I am not the first one to do that. I managed to design a descent looking car rear so I went for the whole car. The front of the car is stolen from inspired by Narym from LEGO City Undercover video game. It can actually fit a minifigure, but it will look as if the driver is either a child or (if you try to sit him a bit higher) asleep. Anyway, here it is: As usual here is a link to the .lxf file
  21. Here's a locomotive that I built for this year's LUG display in my hometown: I wasn't sure what this would be categorized as until after the show was over, but I think I know now. It's a fusion-powered locomotive in retro style, but at the same time it looks too clean to my eyes to really be considered truly retro... thus the label "retro-futuristic". I'm ecstatic over how well the teal and dark green work together; overall, I believe the whole thing contains six colors [not including the various shades of trans parts] - dark and light gray, white, dark green, teal, and some black. The whole thing was kicked off by noticing how the 60025 Grand Prix Truck set used a train base plate as the base for its trailer. Up until I got that set, I had no way of utilizing the white parts I had to build something like this. The back end is very clean and smooth, which I like. The only dis-symmetry is the 1x1 round tile on the nose. It would have looked a little boring otherwise! Whee! Looks all nice and greebly, and yet not cluttered. Pointy noses make everything better. Even better news awaits; I've gone and made an LDD file for this locomotive. Download it from Dropbox here: https://dl.dropboxus... locomotive.lxf
  22. I've always wanted to make this classic console out of Lego, finally got around to it this past week. Lego NES by weltall1028, on Flickr It's very close to the real thing in size. The front has a power light, power and reset buttons, opening cartridge slot, and 2 controller ports. Lego NES by weltall1028, on Flickr The back has the power input (Technic brick with a harpoon gun inside), channel 3/4 switch, and the RF out (chrome 1x1 cone with a 1x1 stud with hole). Lego NES by weltall1028, on Flickr Real NES carts fit into the cartridge slot. Lego NES by weltall1028, on Flickr When pushed down all the way, the power light comes on. Lego NES by weltall1028, on Flickr Had some extra room on the inside, so I decided to add a random lightsaber duel. Lego NES by weltall1028, on Flickr The buttons have a rubber band behind them pushing out, and another rubber band going through them which pulls them inward. This enables the buttons to spring back into place. Lego NES by weltall1028, on Flickr The cartridge slot uses a hydraulic liftarm. You can view the entire photoset here. You can view a video of the MOC .
