  1. Hello and welcome to the page! One of my favourite sets ever! It became a part of my collection in a veeery long and hard way several years ago. I was thinking to motorize it several times. Simply install several motors was easy deal, but I wanted a suspension also. This requires fully rebuild the chassis. So, initially I built a completely new scale RC chassis, then adapt it for 8285 outriggers, that adapt it for the 8285 crane then adapt it again for the 8285 cab. I tried to keep as much from original iconic 8285 as possible. None of the 8 PF motors is visible One BIG battery box + 2 sBricks OR two sbricks 2.0 can be used to manage al 8 channels. The only manual feature is a pneumatic polarity switcher, because it would be a 9th channel. Full suspension, rear based on 42043 Arocs set. Servo for steering 2 XL for drive M for outriggers L for pump M for winch L for crane raise L for boom extensionin Please enjoy! https://bricksafe.com/pages/Aleh/liebherr-lrb-355/rc-8285-rescue-tow-truck Truck now uses 6 soft shock abosorbers. To keep it higher it will be enough to replace first rear axle to yellow shock absorbers.

    RES-Q sets reimagined

The 1998 Res-Q theme was one of my favorite line of sets growing up. Just for fun I decided to rebuild the sets digitally and imagine how they would look nowadays. I startet with the four smaller sets. What do you think? Would you like to see more sets? Do you think it would be realistic for TLG to recreate a theme like RES-Q nowadays? Your feedback and ideas are always welcome. Edit: I completed the series. The album can be found here. 6451: Res-Q Jet-Ski The smallest set of the line. I didn't put too much work into this and just redid 30567: Police Water Scooter in RES-Q colors. 1069: Speedboat The only civilian set. I only did it to complete the series :) 2962: Res-Q Lifeguard I changed the windscreen and turned this into a proper "baywatch" vehicle 6431: Road Rescue The 1998 version was too simple in my opinion. I added an enclosed body to the SUV so all the tools could be transported. The SUV seats two minifigs. 6445: Emergency Evac I had so much fun with this set playing with the rope and the ambulance. I tried to keep the beefy looking off-road truck look and the possibility to load a stretcher in the back as well es the little trailer. 6451: River Response I changed the little vehicle a lot. Now it's an atv seating two minifigs. I kept the shape of the boat but added a proper cabin. 6462: Aerial Recovery Loved this set as a kid. Was the boat and the trike in the original set rescue equipment or did those belong to the diver? I chose rescue equipment for my version. I like how the helicopter turned out and that I even could use the new "porsche bow". 6473: Res-Q Cruiser With the telehandler I went with a more realistic approach. A lot of fire departments and disaster management agencies use them with different attachments. 6479: Emergency Response Center I think the new road plates work great for the pier. For the tow truck I built 4 or 5 different versions. But now I am quite happy how it turned out.
  4. One of my latest creations is this 2020 International Workstar Rescue Utility for Brickadia Fire and Rescue. This apparatus will be in service as Air & Light 37. A&L 37 is built on a 2020 International Workstar with SVI bodywork. Responding to extended incidents, this apparatus provides rehab for operating units by providing refreshments as well as a lavatory. A Mako air refilling station allows for SCBA to be refilled on-scene rather than having to return to headquarters to retrieve more air bottles. In the rear, a 30-gal Trimax CAFS unit can be used for small fires or decontamination purposes. A&L 37 is also equipped with an onboard air compressor for hydraulic powered tools and a generator to run electric powered tools. Technical specs: 2020 International Workstar 4x4 with SVI bodywork Cummins L9 engine Allison EVS 4000 transmission Vertical exhaust piping FRC scene lighting Harrison 20-kW PTO-driven generator 185-cfm Vanair PTO-driven air compressor Code 3 Lighting B&M Super Chief Siren Motorola Spectra electronic siren Grover Air horns Mako Mobile Air refill station Trimax 30 gal CAFS unit Inspired by: North Bellmore FD Tech Rescue 6512 Credits: James K, Abeed M, Sven J, and CC for inspiring the front David H for inspiring the compartments

    [MOC] Rescue Helicopter MH-7903

Search & Rescue Helicopter MH-7093 This MH-65 inspired was mixed with LEGO City set 7903 is equipped with: a. Cockpit for crew of two b. Cabin with bench seating for four (easily fitting way more) c. opening eagle doors on each side. d. winch system with basket and gurney (left side) e. search light (right side) f. exposed rotors. I remember owning this set as a kid, and building this re-imagined version was nothing but a blast. Right after taking photos, I was swooshing it around my living room, feeling like a kid again. I really hope it brings a nostalgia kick as it brought me too. Let me know if you remember this set, and what you think. I'd appreciate any feedback and comments. I hope you all like it! __________ Louis of Nutwood.
  6. Here is my review on 76144 Avengers Hulk Helicopter Rescue. Our local retailers have started putting this on shelves. THE GOOD: Rescue minifigure, this is one excellent minifigure. Exclusive hulk although this version only made a very brief appearance in the movie. Stark Gauntlet! Very interesting way to build the helicopter compared to other typical Lego Choppers. THE NOT SO GOOD: Way too overpriced. The other minifigures are not that interesting. I wish they included scarlet witch instead of Black Widow. Leviathan larvae =( The helicopter doesn't look like a helicopter and the propeller doesn't spin smoothly. Not really representing any scenes in the actual movie. Overall, this is a very overpriced set. I bought it purely because I wanted the Rescue minifigure and the stark gauntlet and I was able to get this with 20% off. Having said that, the Resuce minifigure is excellent. The build of the helicopter is surprisingly refreshing even though it doesn't look like a helicopter. Other components in the set to me are just there to justify the price. I will only recommend to collector of MCU version of lego minifigures and only if you can get a discount.
  7. REVIEW - 42092 - RESCUE HELICOPTER INTRODUCTION It feels like yesterday that TLG released a small rescue helicopter, but actually it dates back quite a few years. I'm talking about the 8068 - Rescue Helicopter released in 2011, packing 408 parts. In the 2010, one year earlier, TLG released an even smaller (152 parts) helicopter. The 8046 - Helicopter, which is clearly a rescue helicopter as well. With 325 pieces, the latest rendition lives somewhere between the 2010 and the 2011 version. Let's take off for the review. PICTURES Pictures can be clicked to view hi-res versions. More pictures can be found in my Flickr album. DISCLAIMER This set has been provided by the CEE Team of TLG. It's not my goal to promote this set. It's my goal to give you an honest opinion about it. Therefore, the opinion in this review is my own and is in no way linked to TLG. SET INFORMATION Number: 42092 Title: Rescue Helicopter Theme: Technic Released: 2019 Part Count: 325 Box Weight: 451 gram Box Dimensions: 28,0 cm x 26,0 cm x 5,8 cm Set Price (RRP): € 29,99 Price per Part: € 0,092 Links: Brickset, Bricklink THE BOX CONTENTS OF THE BOX The box contains: 1x Instruction booklet 1x Sticker sheet 4x Unnumbered bag BOOKLET STICKER SHEET BAGS HIGHLIGHTED PARTS The white Axle and Pin Connector looks new, but it has already been released last year. The white 7 x 3 Panel is new this year though. PART LIST The part list for all the 325 parts. COMPLETED MODEL The completed model captures the shape of a real helicopter very well. I was surprised by this. The landing gear has some white details, where you would expect black ones. I suspect this is because these parts are already being used in other sets in white this year. And they are being used in white in the tail of the helicopter as well. TLG tries to limit the number of different colors per set, and over the entire Technic range for a specific release period (e.g. 1H 2019). We have seen this strategy before. It probably has something to do with warehousing logistics and obviously optimising profit. When I get the chance, I will ask one of the designers/employees. The rear section opens up, but unfortunately the life-bed can't be stowed on the helicopter. This is minor gripe for me. Maybe TLG could have designed a different bed, which would fit in the rear. It feels kinda mandatory to be able to store the bed. The usual left-over parts. B-MODEL The B-model looks like something well worth building. It's a Concept Plane with moveable wings. SUMMARY I wasn't expecting much of this set, but it looks really nice for such a small helicopter. It has some playability and the opening rear doors are a cool addition. When I noticed the doors could open, I expected to be able to stow the life-bed (stretcher). Unfortunately this is not the case. It comes with a B-model which is interesting enough to build. It even has a cool feature (moveable wings). PROS Looks great Opening rear doors Winch Cool B-model Affordable CONS Life-bed doesn't fit the rear section of the helicopter Usage of obvious out-of-place (white) parts on the landing gear SCORE How do I rate this set? 8 DESIGN It captures the shape and looks of a helicopter really well. 7 BUILDING EXPERIENCE Fun to build, but nothing really special. 7 FEATURES The opening rear doors and winch are cool extra's. 7 PLAYABILITY It has swooshability, but the life bed doesn't fit the helicopter. 7 PARTS Mostly common parts and panels. 8 VALUE FOR MONEY The B-model looks interesting enough to build as well. 7,3 FUN ENOUGH TO KEEP THE KIDS BUSY FOR A WHILE FINAL WORDS Thanks you for reading this review. All pictures can be found here.
  8. I wanted to show my latest project. It is a Kenworth rotator tow truck. I was really inspired by the one from Sariel. ( http://sariel.pl/2011/02/tow-truck-2/ ) And the one from Andrea Grazi. ( https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/107317-an-ode-to-the-tow-truck-of-andrea-grazi-review-and-impressions/ ) It is still a long way before it is finished. But i wanted to share it anyway. Still working on the pneumatics and the rest of the crane and lift arm, to get everything working. Tell me what you think of it .

  10. Dear Lego, We know you design sets in advance, and it's very likely we'll see another lineup of fire sets for city. In conversations with other Lego fire builders, we humbly submit 5 requests regarding that theme. Thank you, in advance, for your consideration. 1. It's time for a new air tank mold. The double-airtank Lego mold is now 40 years old and inaccurate. It's probably time for an update. Firefighters in the United States (and around the world) use airtanks that are a single tank, not a double tank. See this photo 2. It's time for a more modern stretcher (Stokes basket). The Lego stretcher piece is from WWI. We're now 100 years past that technology. We'd really appreciate a Stokes basket piece. 3. We're desperate for lift doors in sizes other than just 4-tall. A 2-studs-tall (4 wide) version would be awesome. Also, we need them in red. The ones on Bricklink are going for $25+ EACH! 4. We'd like a 6-wide windscreen piece that's not sloped. This part – but in a 6-wide version. 5. This one is optional, but would be awesome. How about yellow printing on a black helmet? This is the standard helmet for firefighters in much of the U.S. One way to address this would be to release a collectable American firefighter minifig. It's strange that in all the collectible minifigs, there isn't a firefighter. Thank you for reading this and considering these requests. -Steven Asbury (and members of the Lego fire community)

    Mountain rescue

I don't know if this is the right thread, but i hope so.. These are my latest creation, two 4x4 truck used for rescue of mountain climbers and hikers, the one on the right equipped whit a winch, helpful on difficult path, while the one on the left is a dog unit for search under an avalanche. 12. Hello Eurobricks AFOLs, I am Engine and this is my first post here on EB forum. My friend HorcikDesigns told me, some of you here want to know more about my last MOC. My pleassure! Original Vehicle: As some of you noticed, my MOC should be scale model of Ghe-o Rescue. It is a Romanian rescue vehicle designed for extreme terrain, with a capacity of up to 11 people. Dimensions are: 5.2 m length; 2.7 m width (even wider version exists); 2.4 m higth (without rooftop carrier). The weight is 3.2 tons. Under the bonnet, more engine types can be monted, with the most powerful one with 500 hp. Live axles are used for suspension, both equipted by lockable differentials. There are also built-in water tanks for 620 liters for fire extinguishing. Another specialty is the possibility to mount tracks to rear wheels or pneumatic "pillows" on wheels for floating on water. Tires are also special. It is Arctictrans 1300x700-24 (diameter 1300 mm and width 700 mm). The manufacturer shows off an independent test in which they won over Avtoros and Trecol manufacturers. Here you can see several cars built on them. And because the tire diameter and width exactly match the 1:16 scale to the LEGO "Tumbler" tires Ø81.6x44, the scale of the model was decided. So far I do not know any other LEGO cration of Ghe-o Rescue. MOC: The MOC was designed for Kostky.org Trophy Competition, organized by our technic race event guru Peter. And the task was to build a drivable, remote-controlled, off-road vehicle that would be able to travel about 3 km. And at the same time, it should be as beautiful as possible and with design matches to original vehicles. Terrible task. The dimensions of the model are: 332 x 168 x 168 mm (41.5 x 21 x 21 studs), weight 1.2 kg. The drive is permanently 4x4 without differentials. Axles are not sprung. But thanks to the torsionally soft frame of the vehicle, decent axle crossing is achieved (some LEGO trial experience here). Inside, there is a functional winch with a length of 2.5 m. Good lighting is a necessity for the expedition special. The control is provided by sBrick. The propulsion is made by 1 x PF XL motor with a total gear ratio of 1: 1. Schizophrenic steering is provided by the PF Servo. The winch is driven by a PF M motor via a worm gear (8: 1 ratio). Five pairs of PF lights really shine in front of the car. Electrical source is a battery box with 6 AA batteries. The whole MOC is pure LEGO exept of: sBrick receiver, high strength thread as winch rope, threaded cardans and event mandatory stickers. Drive ability: Drivig speed corresponds to a pleasant walk. Off-road capabilities were adequate to the track. Tire traction did not limit offroad capabilities, but a small power of e-motor did. Then the winch becomes useful, that is able to lift the entire weight of the vehicle. And if it was still not enough, the other "competitors" were there to help. A minor issue was the steering. Thanks to the loose in steering mechanism and occasional insensivity in the mobile app, sometimes I sent it out of the way. A major issue was energy consumption. Within 1.5 km, I drained out three sets of batteries (2x alkaline GP Ultra Plus, 1x rechargeable GP 2700). And yet I do not know how to solve it. But most likely it is caused by PF Servo motor, as we disscussed after the event with other partipiciants. ----- Thank you for comments and questions. Pictures are here in my gallery. Custom LEGO Coast Guard Car

Hello! Today I decided to build a coast guard car. I like the result. It's small and easy to build. I used only 31 bricks to make it. Car is build up with blue, white and black colored bricks. On the roof of my MOC I added a yellow surfboard. I will put this car to the LEGO beach. I like all official LEGO Coast Guard sets. I want to build LEGO coast guard ship, helicopter and small boat. Do you like my new MOC?

    CCC XIV: Forestmen Rescue

My fifth entry to the CCC XIV, for the ‘Pit of Despair’ category. The landscape was largely influenced by Dubbadgrim’s builds. The majority of this build was built in two days, as I wanted to take it to a LUG event. The castle features a working drawbridge, and a full interior in the tower. The doors of the prison carriage can open as well. After some forestmen were captured by crusader knights, their compatriots hatched a clever plan to free them from the dungeon: disguise themselves as crusader knights, bring more ‘captured forestmen’ to the castle, and then break the others free! But will they be successful, and slip through the castle guard un-hindered? Or will their clever plan backfire? Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, C&C welcome!

    New American fire apparatus MOCs

I've posted three new fire apparatus MOCs. The first is a Fire Chief SUV that uses Lego's new tires and mudguards from the Speed Champion sets. The result is a design that looks much more realistic and is more properly scaled in relation to my other fire MOCs. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/433885 The second is a rig is based on the FDNY Logistics Support Unit. It responds to major emergencies with additional rescue supplies. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/434036 The third is a Life Flight Helicopter. I wanted a more compact design similar to this helicopter and this helicopter. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/432346 Please let me know what you think. Also, you can now view my MOCs on Twitter and Flickr. Thanks!

    MOC Snorkel Aerial Fire Truck

Two of the the official Lego fire sets this year are based on a snorkel design. This inspired me to make my own. The boom is entirely self supporting at many angles. See more photos at http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/429108 . Let me know what you think.

    MOC - Rescue Helicopter

Hello community, after the refurbishments of the swap body trucks I could finish another project. It was one of these projects, you start very ambitious and stop immediately due to the lack of parts and/or solutions for building problems and such. The helicopter should have a modern and compact appearance, a color scheme that fits to my other rescue vehicle and some functional details. Now after being more a construction site than a MOC on my desk for months I gave it a second chance. And here it is... Hope y'all like it. C & C welcome as usual. Thanks for watching!

  22. Location: Arium Minor (F09) Tags: Building, Piracy, Civil -------------- Have you ever tried to walk silently with a peg leg? It's not easy, especially on metal flooring. But, in my business, you take whatever chance offers itself, whether easy or not. The Kawashita fleet had rendezvoused with an alien fleet, ostensibly for diplomatic purposes. Honestly, I didn't know much about why they were really meeting, nor did I care. All that mattered to me was the opportunity it presented. If we were planning on engaging in serious piracy, we needed a bigger crew - and I had a couple of people in mind. All I had to do was break them out of prison. "What've you got there?" "Prisoner transfer from the fleet," the arriving guard said. "Orders said the place is gettin' crowded, so these two'll be sharing a cell." "Hear that, lady?" the insectoid guard said. "An old friend's here to visit." "Well, well. Finally caught you, did they?" This was taking a long time. I needed one of the guards to come a little closer to me. "Step away from the door, witch!" the insectoid said. I heard his footsteps on the floot. Now. I choked up my grip on my staff and, as I stepped out, I swung it as hard as I could. My aim was good. The insectoid fell without a sound - dead or unconscious, I didn't know, nor did it matter. The prisoner dropped forward, out of the line of fire. The green-skinned female was rattled. Her one shot went wild - then I drilled her. She fell with a hiss. Definitely dead. I helped the bug out of his handcuffs, and we quickly moved the bodies out of the way. "Viktor Kramer! Can't say I expected to see you here," he growled. "Why did you come all the way out here? I doubt it was just for fun," the woman in the cell purred. "I've got a little proposition for you," I said. "Open this door, and let's discuss it." "I want you two to join my crew." "Piracy?" the bug said, twitching his mouthparts into what I guessed was a grin. "Privateering. We're working for the Kawashita Group, and I could use a few hands for the Variga." The woman shrugged. "What are we waiting for?" -------------- P.S. Not completely sure about the Piracy tag. Do rescued prisoners count as being "stolen"?
  23. It has been five years ago since I had finished this hazmat truck. So I think, time for a make over. During the rebuild, the model got a longer wheelbase for more loading space, but tried to save the overall look. I had put on some new features like a more realistic hydraulic platform and a lamp post. This truck now features a lot of equipment for huge technical assistances and of course incidents with hazardous materials. It can also be alarmed by the municipal fire department in case of incidents thoughout the city area. In Europe, this treaty with municipal aid agencies is called TUIS. Which can be translated with Transport-, Incident- and assistance-System. Btw, the little red thing at the front end is a typical covered winch. Enough (in roughly English) said, let the photos speak... This is it. Hope you like this, too. Thanks for watching.
  24. Hello Community! It's been quite awhile since my last MOC. But I wasn't passive. In the meantime I've upgrated some of my models, especially the ones of my petroleum plant fire brigade "Jade Öl AG". So, let's start with a new special tanker equipped with a high reachable Turret, mobile water cannon and a heavy duty pump. It carries 7,000 liters of water and 3,000 liters of foam to the scene. You'll find a few more pics in the gallery on my blog. So, hope you like it. Comments and critics are welcome as usual. More MOCs to come. Regards!

[ MOC ] Medical Ship "White Whale"

When Tony Stark decides to leave the arm-dealing field, he sets up Stark Resilient, which aims to put his technology to the city to benefit the needed people. This time, he puts his arc reactor on the medical ship, and that helps reduce the transport time for patients to the hospitals and makes in-the-air surgery possible. The arc reactor engines are small and powerful, so that the ship can have more space for other uses. Tony meets the team of medical staff at the launch of new medical ship. Overview of the ship, which is quite bulky. Probably that gives people a more "caring and steady" feel for transporting the injured. Side view, and front view below. The cockpit has two seats, and the higher back one can be closed sideways so as to give access to the front seat. And yes, it is a little futuristic era to see the blue transparent panel. Maybe the front should have the same, now I realize! The top is the core of the energy source. The new repulsor engine in action. Normal; flipping out shields and turning backwards for rear thrust.... The back, which has two doors to ensure that the inside is sealed off from the outside, since this ship allows in-the-air surgery. The inside is a well equipped surgery room, with all the necessary medical supplies and tools. "Relax, and we will soon arrive at the hospital for a more thorough check." Thanks for checking!
