  1. I got set 75082 mainly for the Inquisitor and the Imperial Officer minifigs, but I decided to give the build a go today since I heard a lot of positive comments on it. I have to say that the build includes good ideas for the TIE fuselage that are definitive improvements to how other system scale TIEs have been built in the past. Once finished, I went in and modified the build quite a bit to get it closer to the proportions of the craft as seen in the show. This meant I had to get rid of the shooter play feature in order to remove a one plate wide section from the lower part of the fuselage. I also made sure the circular cockpit screen is centered and that the lower half of the fuselage mirrors the angled bricks of the top half. I also got rid of most dark bley bricks and replaced them with their light grey counterparts. Lastly, I made the four characteristic panels one stud higher and removed a one plate wide area from the center build that attaches the panels to the fuselage. I also built a stand for the model in the form of a mini-diorama that depicts the scene from the Rebels episode Empire Day in which the TIE Advanced Prototype was first presented as the climax of an imperial parade: Enjoy!
  2. Hey, my first review here... not sure if it's ok and if I actually CAN post a review here yet but if not - please moderate this :] So: Set Name: TIE Advanced Prototype Set #: 75082 Theme: Star Wars Pieces: 355 Minifigures: 3 Year of Release: 2015 MSRP: USD $39.99 I bought this set in a polish SMYK store yesterday (so a bit earlier than it was supposed to be out). I overpayed for it quite a lot but then again that's what "impulse-purchase" is all about :) Box/Instructions The box itself is quite nice. Not too big, not too small. Instructions are easy to read and pretty standard. There's a small sticker sheet as well, consisting of 6 small stickers. Parts There are 355 parts in this set. They're all pretty standard ranging from light-gray to dark-gray and black. Some red transparent bricks are also present. I think this set has a new part -> (sorry for being an ignorant) an L-shaped light-gray brick with no studs. You can see it on the stock pictures on "top" of the wings (I think it's called a "tile" ;] ). Other than that - the printed domes are also interesting pieces. Minifigures The figs are basically what should draw you to this set. The Inquisitor is AMAZING. It has a new helmet, shoulder-pads and a lightsaber. This fig is pure awesome. It's definitely a must for all the SW minifig collectors out there. You also get a TIE Pilot (I think it's a new fig as well - different helmet from the last TIE Fighter Pilot we had) and an Imperial Officer (which also has "new" tag on the box meaning it's an exclusive!. Pure Empire gold! The build The build is devided to 3 stages. Bag 1 - Cockpit. Bag 2 - "Wing-holders". Bag 3 - Wings. The build is rather fast and a bit repetetive as the wing-holders are basically a mirrored versions of each other and the wings are a build of x4 of the same thing. The completed model The model looks rather good. It has a flicker-cannons (?). You can open the glass dome and the top dome so you can put a minifig inside. The only issue I have with this model is the size of it comparing it to the last TIE Fighter. But then again when I look at -> <- it MIGHT actually be the right size. EDIT: One thing that you might find a bit annoying are the wings. They are NOT attached like in the old Vader's TIE meaning they don't have certain "steps" of possible arrangement if you know what I mean. Here you can fold the wings to whatever position you want (well.. "inside" at least). This means that if you open up the wings and put in on a table or whatever flat surface, they MIGHT fold back in a bit which will make the model fall. It's not really something that will make this model a NO, but still it's tad annoying. Overall opinion The model is nothing extraordinary. It's a standard TIE set and it will look good with the other TIEs in your collection. The minifigs tho, are a MUST! Minifigures: 10/10 Parts: 6/10 Build: 5/10 Price: 8/10 - I'll just say I found this set on an auction for 200 PLN (about 46 euros) and for that - it IS a pretty good price. Like I said, I did overpay for it at the local toy store. Design: 8/10 Playability: 9/10 Overall: 46/60 = 77%

    [MOC] Kanan's Speeder Bike / Joben-T-85

Since I've build Ezra's speeder bike much closer to minifig-scale recently, I also wanted to build Kanan's speeder bike, as depicted in the Star Wars: Rebels Visual Guide. This one proved to be a lot more difficult to get all the correct proportions, angles and details in that small scale, but I'm pretty happy with the result: Here's a picture with Ezra's and Kanan's speeder bike side by side to give a size comparison: Enjoy!
  5. Hello fellow AFOL Few days ago I decided to build something with the content of 21116 Crafting Box. I wanted to follow my "builder instinct" No instructions. I ended up building a sort of bridge. It looked suited for some Fantasy scene. I added few more bricks and I created this little MOC. I know it's not a great one but I had very limited resources for this project. Also this is my first MOC after a very long (about 10 years) absence from the Lego hobby, so any comment, feedback, criticism is highly appreciated. Anyway, here is a background story" for the diorama: "The Elves rule the Kingdom with wisdom and justice, bringing order and peace among the Land. Or so they claim. There are those who consider them invaders forcing their traditions and believes on the subjugated populations. Sometimes it’s hard to discern the hero from the villain, the savior from the conqueror. When doubt and contempt are paired with weapons and powerful magic, it can mean only one thing: war. The number of the insurgents grows each day. Operating clandestinely to avoid the inquisitive scrutiny of the “Open Eye”, one of the most dreaded Elven organizations, they fight to overthrow the current rulers. In a desperate attempt to capture the Elf Queen and force the Monarchy to sign a treaty, the rebels hired the infamous outlaw known as “Golden Terror” and the legendary “Clumsy Ninja”. By skills, bribes and a lot of luck they managed to sneak inside the “Temple of Five Seasons”. Relying on greater numbers the rebels plan to succeed but it won’t be an easy task. The Queen’s guard is one of the most skillful warriors, wielding a weapon that is stuff of legend and the Queen herself is a powerful mage. Who will prevail in this epic confrontation? MLC-3 Mobile Laser Cannon

Today, I would like to present my MLC-3 Mobile Laser Cannon from the 80's Kenner Mini-Rigs line. The MLC-3 Mobile Laser Cannon was a self-propelled gun used as a light artillery weapon by the Rebel Alliance. The MLC-3 was armed with twin blaster cannons and moved on a compact tracked chassis. The use of wheeled bogies rather than repulsorlift units suggests that, like many Rebel units, this was a relatively low-tech vehicle, and it seems that the cockpit hatch was opened manually rather than hydraulically. While the MLC-3 was designed to operate with a single pilot, they could be programmed to run autonomously, firing at preset targets. If you read the description and look at the picture, you will see a little difference. Namely, 2 figures, instead of a single pilot. I didn't like the look of the model when I made it smaller with one pilot. I couldn't get the "scale" and angles right, to me, it looked off. There are some big differences between a Kenner Star Wars figure and a Lego Mini-Fig, in both size and proportions. On the Kenner model, the pilots' head stuck out of the dome on the top of the model while his legs went all the way to the front of the vehicle. So, after playing with the design a lot, I scraped the idea of a lone pilot and decided on a pilot and gunner. All in all, I'm happy with the way this model turned out. Maybe a little chunky! And yes, I did "cheat" a little, I ended up using the tracks from my SRV-1, http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=100747. Working with these is a pain! This model has 296 pieces, of which 70 are tread pieces, the .lxf file is in my Brickshelf folder. Tomorrow, the flying AT-ST head, INT-4! Thanks for looking, Jamie
  7. When I heard the new Rebels show was going to have the Imperial Troop Transport in it. The kid who grew up in the 70's came out. I thought, great, this is an awesome opportunity for Lego to make one. Than I saw pics of it, I had hoped it would be treated as a full fledged set, not a battle pack. So, I figured, no problem, I'll would make my own. After playing with LDD for while, this is what I came up with: Not being completely happy with, I expanded on the idea of making it, not only a transport, but, a battle station as well: All 6 troop compartments fold down. The back pulls out, complete with holding cell for those pesky Rebels! I also included a tool rack that slides into the transport, between the pilot and navigator. Between the troops, there are weapons, so they can be let out of their compartments, grab there gear and engage the enemy. The front opens to provide cover for them. The model is comprised of 761 pieces and holds 9 troops, a pilot, a navigator, a weapons specialist, and 6 Stormtroopers. After doing this model, I started making alot of other Kenner models from the 80's. More to come................. Jamie
  8. Shortly after landing on Mon Calamari I made my way over to the chief of landing deck. If Boba Fett was here, he would know. Me: I'm looking for a bounty hunter named Boba Fett Chief: Hmm, Boba Fett, that doesn't ring any bells. I'm pretty sure he hasn't been here. Me: Another dead-end (sigh). I guess I'll be on my way then. Chief: Hey, since you are already here, why don't you try one of our fishing trips? They are very popular! Me: Fishing? What kind of fish do you have here? Chief: Red herrings, mostly red herrings.
  9. And now for something completly diffrent ... Part III: Searching on Felucia Indeed, Boba Fett wasn't on Ord Mantell, so Monty, our brave hero went searching on very strange, yet beautiful planet - Felucia. Felucia is planet full of diffrent unusual plants, usually in strange colours, which you wouldn't expect to see in jungles. Many of them are very beautiful, but there're also some very dangerous and big, some of them even that big, that can eat a whole Wookiee. But there aren't just dangerous plants, but dangerous beasts like Rancor, too. But Monty and Rog didn't travel half of universe just to deal with botany, they came to find that old scoundrel, Boba Fett. -Monty, pal, I think Boba isn't here. Since we're driving here for hours and ... -... Since Felucia is also known for Rancors..., I know, Rog. We're leaving this botanical garden at once. To be continued ...
  10. Donnie: When you said we were heading to Ord Mantell I pictured us trekking through endless junkyards... Good call on checking the casino too! LegoFjotten: Yeah, I figured odds are Boba Fett is just as likely to show up here as in some random junkyard. Let's hang around a few hours and see if he shows up. Of course we will need to blend in, so let's get started on one of the tables. Donnie: Good thinking! The band is pretty good too... LegoFjotten: ...and check out that dancer. Youwza! Donnie: I gotta say... bringing the wookie was sheer brilliance... a sure way to beat the odds! Chewbacca: RAWRGWAWGGR Boba Fett: Yikes! I know that wookie, better get the heck out of here...
  11. And now for something completly diffrent ... After an unsuccesful mission on Bothawui, our troops continued their searching on planet Ord Mantell, old, deserted planet, full of diffrent unwanted stuff. Here you can find many things; engines, wings, whole ships, bombs and maybe also a Mandalorian? -Monty, we've been walking through this mess for two hours but there's no sign of Boba Fett ... I think we should leave, before we run into a Savrip or two ... -I think you're wright Wolf, if he would really be located on location the Bothans gave us, we would found him before ...

    [SoNE] I: Bothawui

Han Solo, great rebel hero is frozen in carbonyte. The block he is in, is in Slave I, spaceship of famous bounty hunter. Alliance has to track him down. Their spies gave them a list of planets, on which Boba Fett will stop. One of them is Bothawui. Our hero, Erik Alander is there too. He and other rebel soldiers, MontyPython, Manx, Jannik, Jakorin Swiftsword and LegoFjotten are searching throught the ancient Bothawui cities to find Boba Fett. All Erik's allies were unsuccesful, so he hope he will find him ... Me and Jakob just came to one of old Bothawui buildings. I climbed on a tree and Jakob stayed down. Jakob: Can you see anything? Erik: No, there's no sign of him, he isn't here. But I see a ship, far away, behind that yard. It's just flying away ... Jakob: What ship? Erik: I think it's Firespray 31 class ship ... Jakob: This must be Slave 1! We missed him! Erik: Oh, no ... We have to leave Bothawui as fast as possible ... To be continued ... More pictures: It's my first entry for Episode, so I hope you like it. Thank you for watching!
  13. [December ??, 2013] Our ship came to a soft landing on the snow covered planet of Hoth. We were split into teams, two troopers each, and given Snowtrooper armor to suit the harsh climate. After being split up, we we're given our commands: search the Echo Base and locate any information left behind by the Rebels, and destroy it. I was paired with LucasLaughing, a member of the Imperial Security Bureau, and together, we entered the supposedly abandoned Echo Base. What mysteries await... Lego Spy and LucasLaughing investigate the Rebel's heating system. Full Build _________________________________________________________________________________ Front of the Build ________________________________________________________________________________ We left the system online until we left; as it was very cold that day... Or any day, since it's Hoth. ______________________________________________________________________________ Without Snowtroopers _______________________________________________________________ "I wonder what's in here." I mumbled, as we entered what must have been the hundredth wing. ________________________________________________________________________________ I searched through the remaining files, most had been deleted, but I was able to find a hologram with a publication date from a few days ago... ______________________________________________________________ We looked on as the Rebels ( ) practically revealed the location of their new base to the empire ( ! I saved the file to my USB drive and we continued with the search. (Is someone watching us? ) ________________________________________________________________________________ Here's a look at this inferior Rebel computer, before... ______________________________________________________________ Lucas smashes the computer! ________________________________________________________________________________ "Whose are these?" I asked. "Maybe that Rebel Scum who calls herself a princess?" Suggested Lucas. ________________________________________________________________________________ Then, all of a sudden, a Rebel rushed into the room! "What do you want!?" We shouted. "I- I-" He stammered, "I was sent back to get the P- Princess's clothing." Me and Lucas exchanged glances of amusement. ________________________________________________________________________________ "You know what," I told the Rebel, "It's the holidays, we'll let you go this time." "Thank you, the Empire is in my debt." He shook hands with me and Lucas, grabbed the "Princess's" clothing, and rushed from the room.
