Slowly he moved his hand, feeling the sand between his fingers. He rose his head and squinted around. It took him a moment to remember. His ship was gone. His crew dead. But he was alive. When the Queen Annetta's Revenge had vanished beneath the waves, the wake had pulled him underwater. In the dark abyss he had awaited Poseidon. But suddenlysomething rushed by in front of him. Something that felt like a rock, but it welled up. Or was up down and it was sinking? Unable to think he pulled his knife and stabbed it into this thing. He could not remember how long he had drifted on the ocean, partially on the surface, then again diving and swallowing the salt of the sea. He was marooned on a small pieca of rock and sand. A forest of coconuts grew on the inner land. He recognized this island and its location. After founding a small pool of fresh water, he began collecting driftwood and lut up a signal fire. It was likely that sails would appear on the horizon regularly. The question was, which colours they would bear. After one day he finally noticed a ship. It took an hour until it was close enough to reveal its allegiance. The flag was blue and yellow. Previously: Chapter 1 Dramatis Personae: It was not a normal day in the Blue Lantern pub. With the absence of Captains Li and Cho Fang as well as Captain Fheng there was a power void among the pirates that frequented Rassilon. Captain Sulu, captain of the Golden Dragon was already famous for capturing many prizes. A number of the other captains were leaning towards making him their leader. Captain Sulu Captain Ching Shih had sailed for Li Fang for many months taking control of La Oleon when she was first captured and then The Viper after Li Fang died. Quite a few captains favored Shih. Captain Shih The pub had not been closed to local traffic, but most citizens knew better than to try to enter while the captains were vying for power. So when Sinbad strolled in it was met with some surprise. Everyone turned to watch him as he bought a drink and then raised it for a toast. "To the pirate captains!" he shouted. No one raised their glass. Sinbad just cocked an eyebrow and took a swig. "You may be wondering why I'm here," Sinbad asked. "Well, it's to make a business proposition." Just then another man walked into the pub. There was a gasp heard throughout the room. At first glance it had seemed that Captain Fheng was back from the dead. The man held an uncanny resemblance to the former captain. He said, "Whatever this scum has to offer you can wait. I am Captain Fheng's son, Francis Fheng and I have come to claim the right of Pirate Lord among you. Many of you sailed under my father's colors, now I've come to ask you to sail under mine. My father wanted to show the 'civilized' world how wrong they are for trying to tax and enslave us. We were meant to live as free men and I intend to sail against anyone who says otherwise. Who's with me!?!" As Francis was finishing his rousing speech Sinbad walked up to him and said: "Excuse me, I don't like being called scum." "You, you sailed with my father. Yet you weren't there when he died. That makes you scum and not worth my time." "Well you better make time. You see, it doesn't benefit me if everyone here sails under your colors. So I'm going to give you a choice." Sinbad pulled out a coin. "What are you getting on about?" "It's simple. We are all here by our own choice. I'm not making you stay or go. That's your choice. But I'm telling you that you better choose to leave." "Son, you're crazy! Get out of my way." Sinbad pulled out a pistol and everyone gasped. "Alright, if you won't make the choice. I'll make it for you. I'm going to flip this coin. If it lands as heads, I'll let you leave alive. If it lands tails you'll be leaving to go meet Davy Jones." Before anyone could react Sinbad had thrown the coin in the air. He caught it and looked at it. "Heads. You're lucky day." Francis Fheng turned and fled the pub. Sinbad turned to address the captains. "As I was saying before. I have a business proposition for you all." He walked back to the bag he had left and the counter and took it to one of the tables. All the pirates gathered around him, their former vying for power forgotten. "All of you sailed under Captain Fheng before his untimely death. As you know, he died fighting for what he believed in. That was his choice. I'm asking you to elect me as your Pirate Lord and to sail for something even better than beliefs." "And what's that?" shouted one of the captains. "Gold. There's lot more where this came from. I have it stored in safe location for now, but Freddy can validate my wealthy. He helped me bring it back for the forsaken island we found it on. Make me captain of the Priest's Bounty and elect me as your leader and I promise to make you all rich beyond your wildest dreams!" It was a unanimousmus vote. Sinbad was now Pirate Lord of all pirate captains in Rassilon.

Some time ago there was a day when I wanted just to build something. Pure spontaneous freestyle building. I had not much available bricks because there were already 2 dioramas waiting for photo session and some WIP models waiting for final touches. I looked into available parts and decided to start building in Pirates theme. It hadn’t been a week since she beheaded a one of the gunners who had spoken the word: “Mutiny. I know. And I know how to handle such affairs.” But Lin also knew that mere brutality could sustain discipline only for a while. To stay captain she had to be successful. A group of three men came out of the forest and stopped in front of the captain. Their leader began to speak: “My name is Mubaku. I am the Queen Annetta’s Revenge’s quartermaster. Benjamin Morgan sends his regards.” Zhao Lin was surprised. “Where is your captain? I was told he would meet me here in person. I did not come all the way from Rassilon to speak to his subject.” She said. “There are no subjects in this crew, captain Zhao. Only free men unified under the colours of our captain. We honour the pirate’s code. And our captain apologizes for his absence; his plans changed. He set sail toward the east. More I cannot tell you yet. But Morgan offers you to sail with his Lady Arlene and several other ships on a trade voyage.” “Trade voyage? Earnestly? He wants me to play the escort for his merchant man? How dares he to slight us? We are no lesser pirates than your crew! We do not trade, nor do we fight for pay. We take what we want. I promised my men rich captures.” Lin had taken herself into a rage. What was this Morgan thinking? Morgan offers you 100 doubloons for your escort. Won’t that be enough to please your crew for a month? Also, you can keep what you catch. Any ship you take as a prize on the voyage will be yours, as long as you defend the convoy. See it as a trial. Take this chance, earn his trust, and soon enough you will sail with Morgan. What say you?” Zhao had calmed down. This wasn’t what she had hoped for. But there weren’t many options left. A few of her men would be furious and take this as a humiliation. But 100 doubloons and the chance to sail with other armed ships weren’t that bad. And on the other hand, if she now returned to the crew without any deal with Morgan they would most likely become mutinous and maroon her on a lone rock somewhere on the open water. “Aye, we have terms. I will escort your convoy. But when we return, I want to talk to your captain.” Mubaku nodded with a smile: “Very well. Welcome to the crew of Benjamin Morgan."

The Sea Rats daring strike against the Eslandolian blockade-breaking fleet had been one of the most successful strikes in naval history. Pirates of all backgrounds and located all across the seas were celebrating. This was a decisive blow to the organized nations and their taxes, and to Eslandola in particular as the leader in profiting from the sweat of their countrymen. But for Sinbad, the news was bitter sweet. His captain, the venerated Captain Fheng, had been seen going down with the Jade Piranha during the attack. Sinbad took some small consolation in the fact that the crew of the Morning Fog had been put to the sword already. Yet, at the same time, this left him feeling empty. If the crew had remained alive, he could have sought vengeance on them, but even that had been robbed from him. Fheng had desired to show the civilized nations that it was better to be free than taxed, but was that what Sinbad wanted?

"Open the door!" Emile Perreault called into the cabin. "Your crew has already surrendered, and they've told us you've got the blueprints." "I'm armed!" Captain Banks returned in his shaky voice. "You won't get them from me." Emile turned to Rene and shook his head then turned back to the locked door. "I'm counting to three." "I'll shoo-" "THREE!" Emile shouted. WIth a loud crash, the cabin door swung open. Immediately Banks fired off a shot, missing Emile completely. Both parties stood there for a moment. BLAM!! Emile fired. Banks flew back from the shot. Rene poked his head in the door as Emile walked in. "Ever considered working for a militia when someone takes a hostage? You're a natural," the quartermaster said sarcastically. "Can't say it ever crossed my mind," Captain Perreault returned absent mindedly. He went to the desk and picked up the blueprints. "These look like the plans for the fort. Good thing we got to him before he could sell them off." "All we need is to find out how he got them, or who gave them to him," Rene replied. Emile only nodded. Some shots of the actual build.

Hello, I'm here again. after my first Pirate's MOC ("Taverna") today I want to show you all my first ship EVER. This is my version of a classic imperial guard ship , iconic set 6274 Caribbean Clipper. Now I show you step by step, how I built it. Please, sorry for my bad english, I hope you can understand me. Enjoy and please, leave a comment and give me a lot of advice on how to improve because I've never done a sailboat before. I saw extraordinary work on this forum, you are all very good, real master builder! P.S. sails, unfortunately, are NOT original!

Hey folks. I wanted to make a more obscure fighter and may have chosen one a little too awkward, the Morningstar Starfighter used by the mercenaries in Star Wars: Starfighter. Reference I think I've made the internal structure of the main body sturdy, unfortunately I've not managed to build up the main thruster very well. It's as small as I could get it to be and still fit a minifig in the cockpit, though it still turned out much larger than I initially expected! Comments and criticism if you have any. :)

Built for the 2017 Brickstory contest. I’ve been wanting to do some more pirate themed builds for a while now, and the Brickstory contest provided a great opportunity with its ‘Age of Piracy’ category. The island can split in half to reveal a path, cannon, and other details inside, and the winch holding the boat is fully functional. This paradise of a pirate island serves as the base of operations for Captain Hookey Hand and his crew. With everything from canons and lookout towers, to sun-bathing boats and planks to walk, the island is incredibly popular with his band of compatriots. Hi again everyone! Here is a countinuation of my "classic style" lego MOC. This time a complete original of a pirate haven inspired by the port-city of Nassau from the "Black Sails" HBO show. The Jade Piranha Strikes Again! The Parched Pirate Freddy had spent almost all his money throwing parties at the Palm Tree Inn. So he took his final trained chickens to his local pirate pet shop. He had to haggle with the shop keep to get a fair price. Not just anyone could train chickens the way Freddy could and he wanted his money's worth. He was tempted by the rest of the pets in the shop to spend some of his money on someone to keep him company. But in the end he took all his cash and went off to try a new venture.

Check it out on Rebrickable. *Would love to hear your input on the design! The Hooked Fang A fearsome warship manned by a skeleton crew. This cursed vessel is ornamented with bones and hooks jutting out from all sides, making any close encounters or attempts to dock beside her nearly impossible; and highly dangerous. Sight of such a ship, particularly at night, would send shivers down the spines of any pirate. The Hooked Fang is armed with 10 cannons. On the rear of the ship is the captain's quarters; Inside is a small desk with a map and stool, a treasure chest, lantern, cutlass and flintlock rifle. The cabin can be accessed via removable platform where the ship wheel is. In the center of the ship is storage for barrels, above is an adjustable crane/claw. Ship also features 2 crow's nests on top of the masts, lanterns, and an anchor. The crew includes 5 skeletal minifigures Total piece count: 2004 Dimensions (L x W x H): 22 x 9 x 25 inches 553 x 224 x 614 mm

But during his latest voyage his renown only grew greater. The Tigerlilly and the King Archibald were both sailing only the same stretch of ocean when they saw a jade green ship flying the black. Although these two ships belonged to different nations, they decided that working together to take down the notorious pirate Zheng was more important that focusing on their differences. They prepared to strafe the Jade Piranha on both sides when the Jade Piranha opened fire from her bow! Taking out the main masts of both ships, the Jade Piranha sailed through and showed why she was one of the most feared ships on the seas.

“A notorious Pirate captain that terrorizes the coasts of Okoto with his band of Skull swashbucklers. Skull Captain sails the seas aboard the Flying Clutchman. Legend has it his continuous raids are rooted in a seemingly endless search for his right arm. An arm he lost on an adventure a long time ago…” This is a reimagining of the Skull Villain concept from 2015. In this version, I stuck more to their roots as pirates. Most of this was an excuse to make a sweet parrot/monkey rahi sidekick.

Hello. I have over the past year realised that the LEGO pirate sets are getting worse. And by that i mean less minifigures and a smaller part count. But the prices are as always progressing to higher levels. Am I the only one who holds this opinion or do some other LEGO pirate fans see this as well.

[pid][/pid] LDD/MLCad 12B Hi AFOLs (and LEGO Galleon lovers), I've been working on this build in LDD for the last month or so - as I did I lurked these forums and drew inspiration from many of the fine galleon MOCs here. I'm currently in the part ordering phase - have around 1200 out of 4500 pieces and thought I'd post it to see what the ship builders here think. It's named the Gilded Crow because the colors match that of an Ozzie football team, in case anyone was wondering. I didn't plan it that way, just thought the dark blue, gold and bright red worked well together - the wife saw it and recognized her teams colors straight away :) I have designed it to be modular, drawing inspiration from the Imperial Flagship and other sources. I was considering the purchase of that set but, at the price it is now, I thought I could purchase 3 X as many bricks, for a larger model of my own design. In this final render, you can see the detail in the Captain's quarters and just make out the large dining table and chairs in the deck below. I'm not sure how long it will take me to collect all the parts and build the Crow, though I know it will require custom sails and rigging. Once complete I will post some photos of the actual build. I plan to create better water on the base plates, with tiles and studs. Eventually, I also want to crew this vessel. I would prefer not to use the yellow skinned minifigs - if anyone has suggestions on suitable minifig crew parts which work with flesh colored heads and hands, it would be appreciated. OoC: Please note that this vessel is being registered as The Darting Frog, a 4A I captured in the last MCRA. This 4A vessel was seeking to protect the fleet under it's protection. The captain had seen many battles and had lost a leg to a sword wound a few years back. He knew how to deal with pirates... or so he thought. It was a fierce battle between his crew and Captain Sulu's. But in the end Captain Sulu prevailed.

UPDATE! I've added some more pictures that show the actual battle between the crews. OoC: there are a lot of pictures, if you want the "poster shot" go here. The White Wind was an Eslandolian warship tasked with defending the treasure being transported back to the mainland. It had an able-bodied crew who was dead set on defending their cargo. With 10 canons, they knew they were not an easy prize. The captain had received a special commendation for taking this commission and was determined to see it through. Their sails were full and they were making excellent speed. (more pictures of The White Wind) But even though were going about 12 knots, another ship was coming up behind them and they were flying the black. They were being pursued by The Jade Piranha. Led by the notorious captain Zheng, his crew of miscreants aboard The Jade Piranha were after the treasure they had heard about from Captain Li Fang after he learned about the information from a whaler. They spied The White Wind and began their approach and assault. Having two forward guns, they began their attack long before a normal ship would be able to. While The White Wind had 10 canons, The Jade Piranha had 12 side canons alone and was more than a match for the treasure laden ship. The crew was a fearsome bunch. And their captain was not known for his leniency. (more pictures of The Jade Piranha) Using their forward canons, The Jade Piranha disabled The White Wind's ruder. Without a ruder, it was easy for the pirates to close the rest of the gap between the two ships. The crews prepared to face each other. Cannons fired! And then the crews clashed! When all was said and done, The White Wind was captured, it's crew killed or enslaved, and the treasure now in the hands of pirates! (more pictures!) OoC: Sorry that there isn't more minifigure posing! I was struggling to keep these two ships within my poster board for pictures and editing was already going to be a nightmare without editing 50 of the same shot but with the minifigures in different position. In hindsight I could have done a little bit more with close ups, but too late now! For those who are wondering, the sand green clips were from a PaB in the Chicagoland area. I didn't buy them with this boat in mind, but I'm really happy with how it turned out and I'm glad I did! The Chinese Junk design is based on a number of Google imagines that show up when you search for "Chinese Junk," surprise, surprise. Lastly, these two ships barely fit within the size limits of 80x48. They fit in the 48 width restriction when they are side by side like they are in the pictures and the only overhang past the 80 length restriction is The White Wind's bowsprit which overhangs by about 5 studs. I asked and the rest of the BoBS leaders are okay with that much overhang for anyone else who might be interested. I hope you enjoyed my entry. I had a lot of fun making it!

His own son had left him to rot in a Mardien prison. His men had essentially mutinied against him and no one had come back to rescue him. He wanted his ship back and he wanted a crew to command. But as long as he had no gold, neither seemed like a reasonable possibility. While in town he heard the rumors of a treasure fleet bound from Nelisa. He decided to visit his old Sensei. He know that if anyone in Rassilon had information on the treasure, it would be him. "Sensei," said Cho, "I see you are still training men in the ways of martial arts. It seems that even Sea Rats can be taught discipline." "Yes," replied the Sensei, "You would do well to remember your old lessons. You seem to be lacking in discipline yourself these days if the rumors are true. Not even able to hold a crew together eh?" "Sensei," said Cho, "It was not I who lacked the discipline, but my son. He's the one who choose his own way rather than submit to me. But that's not why I'm here." "But it is why you should be." answered Sensei. "You think that treasure will buy your way back into power, but what you don't understand is that you are working with pirates. They exist because they do not believe submitting to their authorities is in their best interest. They want to choose their own way and reap the full rewards of it without having to share with anyone else. That is what your son understands and you do not. Sea Rats will not submit simply because the honor demands it. But they can have honor in their own way. If they respect the Pirate Code and their fellow men who uphold it, that is a kind of honor. But enough of my prattle, as you said, it's not why you're here. Come inside and I will share with you what I know of the treasure."
