  1. Previous Chapter (by LV) -------------------------------- Alric hands itched. In the previous days, he and his men had cleared the area around Shadowmere from thug, thieves and other people Lord Vladivius and he didn't want to have around. Most of it hadn't even been real fights: sent in the Drond's heavy cavalry, and about an hour later the infantry to clean their mess up. But now, he had found an opponent larger then his own army. His spies had told him an important supporter of the Desert King would pass by today. He couldn't let that happen. So he had prepared his troops to ambush them, and here, at the hollow road, was the perfect place. When he would raise his hand, the crossbow-men would change the hollow way into a dead-trap. Suddenly he heart the sounds of clashing armour, of hundreds of feet stamping the ground to mud with their marching. He knew his enemy was coming, and spanned all his muscles, ready to attack. A column of armed goblins appeared. At their head rode an armoured person, clad in black iron. He had given his best archer command to take that one out as first. He knew his enemy, and Gal Turok was worth twenty good Drond's men if not taken care of early. The army approached rapidly, and was almost there. Fifty feet left to give the signal. Thirty feet. Alric made his sword loose in it's sheet. Twenty feet. He clenched his fist. Ten... "Alric." A booming voice sounded in his ears and over the road. The enemy knew they were there? Alric, who knew hiding was useless, stood up. "Yes, Gal Turok?" -"Say to your archers to relax. I know exactly how many men you've got there, and I know how many supplies you've got, how long they will stretch... And I know you've got a fair amount of gravely wounded with you. You won't leave quickly if need be." That was true. The last band of thieves had been more organised then they seemed, and a considerable amount of men got wounded, or maimed, in the battle. He sighed, and signed to the men to stand up but hold their arms ready. "Much better, Alric. Did you really think you could ambush us?" -"..." "No, you still think in terms of the previous conflict. But that is past time. No, this battle is way more important. I fight for Nocturnus, for the Resistance. You do the same. That's the only thing that matters. We're on the same side, guy. And as much as I hate it to say, Nocturnus needs you and your army." Gal Turok let a small silence, but then continued: "I propose an alliance." The Great Goblin Uniter stretched his hand out to Count of Drond's Feelds. ---------------------------------------------------- CC very welcome, special thanks to Blufiji for his wonderfull techniques and kindness in explaining them, and to you for the kind comments on the previous MOC and for reading this! Endless Resolve

Gal Turok stepped off of the creeky boat and onto a small dock, for he ahd arrived at The Glade Fort, a small outpost near the foothills of the Rakath. Waiting for him was a soldier of the Legion Reach, the defenders of his territory in the Rakath. The soldier bowed a short bow, and Gal Turok spoke. "Where is he?" "We are holding him just inside the walls Lord Turok." The soldier opens the door and there he is, sunken in a corner half conscious. " I hope my companions didn't miss treat you to badly..I know how..delicate you deep dwellers are.." The Drow glanced up, his deep red eyes burned with defiance. "Soon Goblin Lord, we shall see whose delicate. Word reaches us in the deep of the death of Vladivus, the fracturing of your so called alliance. You lords of Nocturnus are nothing but common paupers pretending to be princes. You, your people, your entire culture, shall be like the sands of the desert..nothing but dust beneath the might of the Spire. Gal Turok listened intently, his rage hidden beneath his battle worn helm. The Drow had spoken out of turn, but he spoke the truth. The Alliance was floundering, what few clans and tribes that had been brought into the fold were blades of wheat before the scythe that was the Spire. But the Drow was in for a shocking revelation. "What's the matter Goblin scum..is the truth to hard to swallow.." Gal Turok spoke in his usual monotone voice. "No cave dweller..the truth is the truth..as it has always been. Now here is truth for you..You have severely under estimated our resolve.Yes are numbers are few..in the East..Yet we shall soon have more than enough to bring you and those who serve the spire to heel. We will purge you from this land like one purges corruption from a wound. We will fight you on Rod's Peaks, In the swamps of the Moruth, in Skavenport and Kyrrath, in The Reach, in Shadowmere, The Labyrinths, to the very streets of Abyssian itself. In every tavern and village, every mountain crag, every hovel even in Hell's Gate, we will fight you until we have cleansed this land." Gal Turoks eyes met the Drow's, and the Drow recoiled in fear.. "And once we have done all of this, brought your spire to rubble and pushed those you serve to the sea, I will personally enter the caverns in which your kind scurry about and rip you and your people from this world. Your kind will know the meaning of oblivion by the my hands!!!!" As the Drow warrior opened his mouth, he instantly found Gal Turok's sword plunged into it, the blade quickly dripping in the tar like fluid that the Drow called their blood. "Be silent, inferior vermin." One of the guards spoke.. "Lord, there was another reason we summoned you hear. Ravens flutter about and deliver messages regarding troop movements of both allies and foe. Even more troubling news..The faction of Drow that broke off many moons ago has resurfaced. We do not know what side they fight on." "It makes no difference, if they stand in the way of the Alliance bringing peace to this land, they will meet the same fate as their bretheren. " "What do you want done with this one.?" "Quarter him. Send one of his arms to that abomination of a landmark they call the spire. Send the other to the Rego. Send his head back to his people. Let the swamps claim his legs." With that, Gal Turok sheathed his sword, and prepared to meet with the Council of Grazauth, in Deep Sanctum, Supreme Capital of Goblin kind. So that was a long read, hope you guys enjoyed it. I was in a bit of a rush tonight, so I'll post pics of the more gruesome parts of the build later on this weekend. As always thanks for looking! For more pics click the flickr link otherwise sit tight, for the other pics.
  3. Lord Vladivus

    Snakes, Falcons and the Dead.

The clash of metal on metal emanated from the inner citadel, as the leaderless Shadowmere Guard followed the last command the fallen Necromancer, Krell had channelled through his staff: ATTACK! For weeks now, the remaining living troops had been embroiled in skirmishes with the undead. It was all coming to a head- Lady Sithanna and Sir Eothain the Insane lead the offensive, holding the famed Obsidian Road. Predating the founding of Shadowmere, it lead to a central island where the main citadel was located. This island was ringed by roiling lava flows, making it easy to defend. The fighting was hard and fierce, but with a sudden speed, the Shadowmere Guard ceased combat. The forces of Sithanna and Eothain gathered themselves, and the two leaders ventured out onto the bridge. Standing before them was the traitor, Fenrir Bloodcloak, accompanied by warriors of both Nocturnus and Avalonia, and bearing the staff of Krell. That's why the zombies stopped fighting, he has control of them, thought Sithanna, careful to keep her shock hidden, "Why are you here traitor?" asked Sithanna. "This is my home Sithanna. Not yours or your pet birds. I come with the forces of Dronds Feelds to restore order to this mighty citadel. Even now they assault the walls, and the Shadowmere Guard. I will remove the corruption at it's heart." replied the wolf. "Corruption? I suppose an agent of the Spire knows all about corruption!" snapped Sithanna, her anger palpable. "Why don't we ask one then?" growled Fenrir, turning to Eothain. The Black Falcon reacted with great speed, leaping at Fenrir who barely had time to raise his axe to block the lightning blow that descended. Their blades clashed, but Fenrir uttered words in an ancient tongue and levelled Krell's staff at the Falcon. A blinding flash and a puff of smoke appeared and Fenrir was thrown back. As the smoke cleared, it became clear that another creature stood in the Falcon's place- a crowned snake wielding a mighty scythe. The snake fought simply to escape, and as Sithanna joined the duel, he forced his way though Fenrir's forces, faster than anyone could catch. Fenrir then bowed before Sithanna. "I am truly sorry my lady. Eothain was never truly ours. He has manipulated us from the beginning. I... I have done things I am not proud of. Vladivus is slain, on his orders, by my hand. Without the staff of Krell, Shadowmere would have fallen. An iron fist is needed to keep the warriors of the Shadowmere in line. The creature posing as Eothain was the self-styled "KIng of Snakes", an agent of the Black Spire. There are few as degenerate as him gods be thankful..." Sithanna interrupted him at this point; "We have much to discuss. Follow me." She had realised that regardless of who Fenrir was, without the Falcons, who seemed to have vanished, her Manbats would be unable to match Fenrir's forces. He had won this battle. Fenrir turned to a ghostly warrior beside him. "Come old friend, lets go home."

    Shadowmere Siege

Previous Chapter ------------------------------------------ With a great arch, the stone was launched into the air. Alric had to crane his neck to follow the projectile. With a great plof, the sound of stone on stone and the screaming of human voices, the stone settled itself in the wall of Shadowmere. And altough it had done quite some damage, this was not nearly enough. "Reload", he said to his Captain. Shadowmere must and would fall! ----------------------------------------- Deep inside the dark keep, the sound of falling stone, breaking walls and bones reached the patrouille. These decided not to wait, but immediatly go reinforce the affected wall section. Shadowmere would hold out! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll keep the story short now, but expect more to come! This build was based on Blufiji, thanks to him, and the interior obvously on Soccerkid6's builds. The trebuchet-design is from Nuju Metru and TheCook. Thanks to them too! I really enjoyed this build, and CC is very appreciated! Additional images Afterwards, I decided to have the sappers building a bridge to reach the castle. This was added to the built, and images may be a bit blurry. Sorry therefor!

    Broom Training

Melarane Is a young witch of the Silent Grove who has been deemed a prodigy by her peers and instructors. Unfortunately all that praise has gone to her head. On her first day of broom training, she boasted that this would be child's play. Now it seems the broom is playing with her!
  7. In the GOH timeline, these events happened mere hours after the events in Nestlands Clans Embassy in Nocturnus: Lord Vladivus' Visit, part 1. -------------------------------------------------- Ambassador Bloodmane: It took quite some work to clear the blood fountain of what the Drow had done to it. I'm told it is one of Danag's original fountains. Lord Vladivus: Is that what I think it is? Ambassador Bloodmane: Aye, but I must caution you with its use. Once summoned it will only do your bidding once, and then it will escape back to its own realm. This war of yours will be a hard one, and you will incur some losses. You should keep this in reserve until your need is greatest. Lord Vladivus: I will keep that in mind. This has been a pleasant and fruitful trip, but Shadowmere and the war beckon. Ambassador Bloodmane: Well then, I'll have my people carry these to your zombies. Lord Vladivus: Kasalia, I will be leaving now. Librarian Kasalia mutters an unintelligible reply without even looking up from the scroll she is examining. Lord Vladivus shrugs. Lord Vladivus: Take care of her. Ambassador Bloodmane: She'll be safe here. ----------------------------------------------------------- Upstairs in the study area before the Nestlands Embassy Grand Library: Twali: Mistress, do we stay? Librarian Kasalia: We stay. You guard. She gives a sidelong glance at the Avalonian mage to her left, sniffing the air to get a sense of his power. Nolan Baar, a minor mage from central Avalonia, is here to study the raising of phantasms and specters. His aim is to use these to patrol the remaining Drow tunnels in Avalonia. Nolan Baar: Such bounty in this place. Food and knowledge. Nolan needs to be a bit more careful, as his sword is about to knock over the game board. It is an odd conquest game that Nolan hopes the Ambassador will teach him. Kasalia has pulled Nolan's trencher over to hold the scroll she is reading. The scroll details the construction of the first temple to the Armored Eagle Goddess, built by the Sky Elves. ------------------------------------------------------------- Above the study area are the symbols of Ambassador Bloodmane's faith, a statue of the humanoid version of the Armored Eagle Goddess and a representation of the Staff of Winged Grace. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's a shot of the build sans character figs and loose items. More detail shots can be found in this Flickr album. ---------------------------------------------------- CCC

    War Has Returned

"First whispers..then a call to action by Lord Vladivus..and yet the council did nothing..and now this.." Gal Turok thought as he and Nidhak trekked through the dank mud of the swamps. A few days ago, a carrion bird informed Gal Turok of a massacre of an obscure tribe in a remote corner of his domain. After what seemed like an eternity, Nidhak finally broke the silence. "What new hell is this? I don't remember our campaigns taking us this far into the swamp before.." Gal Turok responded monotonously. "These are the lands of the Nikrit, the Nyx Glades. You don't remember coming here because this land was invaded by my predecessor long before you or I were a gleam in our fathers' eyes. He came to this land seeking an outlet to the greater Moruth Swamps from the mountain slopes, and while he invaded, it ultimately ended in a draw. The Nikrit, while primitive, even amongst the tribes of Nocturnus, were fierce warriors and they knew this land well. The only reason it ended in a draw was due to the fact of the numbers of the Imperial Horde. If it wasn't for them, his campaign would've been counted as a failure. Ultimately a truce was drawn. The Nikrit were given autonomy, so longed as they pledged service to the empire, and served in the legions as needed. It was also a condition that Goblin kind would defend this domain against greater threats, and that no Goblin would enter here without permission." "So aren't we breaking that part of the truce now?" Gal Turok-"If what the carrion bird said was true, then they are all dead, so how can they give permission.." Nidhak chuckled and looked up.."What strange trees these are." Gal-Turok-"They are not trees, they are fungi, and most of them are poisonous so you would do well not to touch them. The Nikrit have adapted to life here, we have not, and further more.." Gal-Turok stopped speaking at that moment, as they had stumbled upon a small outpost littered with dead and dismembered Nikrits. The words of the carrion bird were true. In the distance, Gal-Turok saw more bodies, but he quickly turned his attention to the spike in front of him. A Nikrit warrior infront of him had been lifted up and plunged onto a spear, it's body weight supported by the thick mud. Nidhak-"That's something different...I wonder how he got him up there?" Gal-Turok ignored the sarcastic comment, and lingered in thought for a moment. He knew what this meant...The forces of Raavage the Usurper had renewed their campaign to subjugate all of the East. If he had managed to the decimate such a secretive tribe within a deadly conclave, it meant two things: That his influence has spread far, and his armies had grown in number. The first wave saw the fall of Abyssian and the death of the Serpent Supreme Lord of the Nocturnus. This next campaign may see the death of us all. Even united, the Lords of the East would be hard pressed to turned the tide. Gal-Turok, as well as Osiric, did not participate in the first defense of Nocturnus, as they were busy fighting their own wars. Now THIS would be everyones' war. Gal-Turok-"We're done here, I've seen all i needed to see. When we get back to The Reach, send word to Skavenport and Shadowmere, they will not have to face this threat alone. In some 5 centuries, Goblin kind has not interfered in an outsider event, but now that must change." Nidhak-"What if the council goes against you? What if they refuse to honor this change?" Gal-Turok-"If we do not, we won't be around to debate the issue. Whether they like it or not, war has returned, and it's going to take every Lord in the Darklands to take on this threat.." So this is my first contribution to the Nocturnus collab between myself, Vlad, Jorrith, ME and Jacob. I'm not really a story writer, but I hope you guys have enjoyed the build and the write up. Comments/Criticisms are always appreciated. Also here is the inspirational pic for this build. Credit to whoever drew this-
  9. Lord Vladivus

    The Wolf and the Knights.

Fenrir had travelled for days from Port Wrath to reach this point. What he was about to do could easily see him killed. He laughed to himself under his breath. A smallholding in the Trifork. A peaceful place. Not the warriors death he would hope for. The soldiers at the house had directed him behind the house. After he had laid down his arms whilst he was several hundred metres away. The staff he kept; "You would not deny an old wolf his staff to lean upon?" he had called. Behind the house, he had found Beorthan, Mayor of the Trifork hard at work planning battles in a small clearing. Beorthan: "You are a traitor Fenrir. I am sure Shadowmere would pay greatly for your head. No doubt your betrayal lead to Vladivus' death. Submit to me, and I promise I will see you to Shadowmere to stand trial." Fenrir's nostrils flared: "A welcome no frostier than I expected. I have not come to surrender, but to rather ask your aid." Beorthan: "Aid? you shall have none from me." Fenrir spoke then at length, imparting many secrets to the Mayor, and outlining his plan. Beorthan was almost swayed, but he knew his people must come first. Beorthan: "The Trifork has an alliance now with Shadowmere, and even as we speak, my friends are confirming that alliance once again. If I support you, I would be breaking my word to Shadowmere. My people would not be forgiving- they look to me to lead them in a time of peril." Fenrir: "Rarrrgh, I should've known better than to seek aid from you damnable tight wearers." He turned to stride away. Beorthan: "Fenrir! Wait! I did not say I would not aid you. Whilst I cannot give you the men you ask for, I can suggest that you seek out Alric of Dronds Feelds. He may be willing to ally with you." With this new plan, Fenrir travelled to Dronds Feelds. The wolf found Alric at the town of Tonfeld [roughly translated, this mean walled field in Saxon]. Tonfeld was a heavily fortified town in the south of Dronds Feelds, but inside the walls, it was a bustling hub of activity. Fenrir entered through the main gates, and was met by Alric. "Greetings, wolf! What does a Nocturnian want with an Avalonian? It is not often that we entertain traitors!" Fenrir growled at this. "I am no traitor! I fight for the one true ruler of Nocturnus. Let us speak more of this in private." With that, they moved to a tower top, away from the ears of spies. Fenrir's words spoke to the young warrior, and Alric readily agreed to lend Fenrir soldiers for his cause- providing that Shadowmere would count itself an ally of Dronds Feelds and would continue it's current alliance with the Trifork. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What's going on!?! I can barely follow myself and I know all the secrets Fenrir knows! Keep a look out for the final build to wrap this story up! C+C welcome!

    Receiving a Message.

After reaching Nocturnus, Tauro and Bregir have split up. Whilst Tauro has continued to Shadowmere, Bregir heads towards other members of the Nocturnian Resistance. Tauro has found Shadowmere in a sorry state of affairs. Recent events have taken their toll, and the citadel is no longer quite as whole as it once was. Nevertheless, the Lady Sithanna rules in Vladivus' absence and it is to her that the Trifork's message is delivered. She receives Tauro in her personal chambers, the Minotaur an unusual acquaintance for the vampire Lady. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally got around to replying to Bregir's build! I tried a new technique for myself, offsetting the walls by a half-stud. The colour scheme is largely inspired by one of Jorrith's Shadowmere builds, so credit there! C+C welcome!
  11. Send in the Pies! The Algus are spreading into Nocturnus. At the first snowfall one Orc baker begins mixing a strange cauldron. By the time the Algus got close enough, it was time to Send in the PIE! My final Frozen Beyond Entry! C&C Welcome! For a Closer look check out both models on mecabricks.
  12. Okay this is another free build, I've made, my second actually, so I hope you all like it! Here it is: Deep in the swamplands of Nocturnus, was a treehouse built from two trees. The treehouse over looked small road used only by a few merchants who wished to shave time off their trade route. Inside were two croc warriors. Suddenly running up the road was a third croc warrior. He ran over to the tree house and scrambled up the ladder. “What is it?” Demanded the leader of the croc warriors. “A merchant wagon is coming! Two guards! They’ll be here ANY minute!” “Finally! Get to your posts!” barked the leader. The other two warriors scrambled down the ladder and concealed themselves in the swamp. The crocs watched silently as the wagon came nearer. Just as it passed the tree house the leader croc dropped a log held by who chains, it swung through the hole in the tree house floor and slammed into the wagon knocking it and the guard walking next to it into the swamp. The crocs in the swamp leapt out and attacked! The leader scrambled down the ladder and attacked the last guard, quickly killing him. Soon all the merchants were dead, and the crocs set about looting the half submerged wagon. Okay that's it hope you all liked it! Please feel free to leave any compliments and/or criticism.
  13. Pitfall Immobilization In the infernal abyss the Algus are still a rare sight, but they sometimes fall from the sky. Certain people are throwing them into the abyssal pits from the surface. "So, according to my calculations, when the lava is this hot, the pit is that deep and the cooling capacity per hourglass reversal of the Algus creature is like this..." *pushes the Algus over the edge* "... it will exactly dive with it's head into the lava!" "Sir, we have confirmation from down below! The creature is immobilized with it's head into solidified rock." "Excellent, I think they can handle it from here!" So, my this is my first challenge entry for the Frozen Beyond contest and also my first lava-themed build. The photography did not really turn out as good as I want it to be for the overview, in real life the lava has a nicer glow to it, but anyway, it was fun. I do intend on doing another build for the contest today, I hope I can manage that! As usual, C&C very appreciated!
  14. Exetrius Saga 1: Fallen leaf Episode 2: Message in Kyrrath It has been a couple of weeks since Exetrius was tasked with the delivery of a letter to a client in Kyrrath. Due to several delays - including many cases of 'side-step exploring', getting lost in an unexpected snowstorm and taking part the annual Carakath festival celebration - he arrived in the City of Purple several days later than planned. If anything, his journey had given him new energy. Though he had already reached the city of Kyrrath, his instructions for the exact location of his client were a rather vague. The only thing it said was: "Small house with dragon statues." As usual, the addressed person was anonymous... So there he was, walking the streets of Kyrrath, hoping to find the house by luck. He asked around, but nobody knew the place. The city really impressed him, though; such bizarre, intriguing architecture, unlike anything he had seen before. And so much purple.... The stories he had heard turned out to be true. He found himself in the outskirts of the city, when he saw a small house that matched his descriptions. He stepped towards the door, but someone already came from the garden. To his great surprise, it was his aunt Alicia (Onicius' sister). He hadn't seen her in almost two years. It turned out that she moved to Kyrrath about four months ago. After some some catching up on the state of affairs, Alicia opened the letter. Onicius was the sender! He had probably set this up from the very beginning, Exetrius thought. She visibly enjoyed reading the letter, but suddenly her look neutralized and she shook her head. She handed the letter to Exetrius: "(...) By the time you receive this letter I am most likely already in Mitgardia, in the high North. I have some important things to figure out here and I will be back in a few weeks. I'd advise my son to head back to headquarters, to practice his Archane magic flow skills (...)" No doubt that his father was up to something! 'Important business' in the North could only mean one thing right now: Algus business... Now he was certain that his father planned this job from the start; it was to lead him away from The Order and the Algus affairs which it was probably about to deal with. Obviously he wanted to protect him, but this was a nasty trick... darn! He said goodbye to his aunt and embarked on a journey whose path he had yet to determine. To be continued.... in the next episode: Equipment upgrade I am back with a build for the Exetrius Saga, I hope you enjoyed it! With the build, I really focused on style consistency with Nocturnus member jaapxaap's builds for his city, Kyrrath. Most of the used techniques were entirely new to me, they were challenging, sometimes frustrating, but fun in the end Thanks for viewing and C&C appreciated, as always!

    The Silent Grove

Gal-Turok and Nidhak have come to the Silent Grove seeking an alliance with the Silent Sisters, a clan of bio, terra and hydromancers known for thier ability to cast spells without speaking. They have arrived for a meeting with Nysa and Sorene, twin sisters with the mastery over plant life. As Gal-turok exits the boat, he admires the lush plant life and thinks to himself that today is a good day. Wasting no more time, he sees that Nysa is already upon the balcony of their home, while Sorene is quickly approaching... "If they are as powerful as they are beautiful, we may just win this thing..." Gal-Turok chuckled.. Another build for the collab, and probably my last swamp build for a while. The building, despite the materials, is actually very sturdy and simple on the inside..guess I should've added an interior. Anyway as always comments/feedback is appreciated!! Thanks for look!!

    Port Wrath

A wretched hive of scum and villainy. A more apt description of Port Wrath had yet to be uttered, at least if you weren't Orcish. The Orc quarter was particularly wretched. Dark figures came and went, and in a land such as Nocturnus, where lawlessness was the norm, not the exception, these figures represented the most reprehensible outlaws. The orcs simply didn't care. If you wanted to shift body parts, or deal with the Drow then this was the place. Even the Black Spire stayed away. For the most part. The docks planted their feet in a sea of blood, the water cursed in ancient times. In these waters lurked horrors unspeakable. A ratman from Skavenport padded softly towards an orc and a gorilla tracker making an illicit deal in the Alley of Chains. An orc chieftain strides towards the tavern next to his storehouse; the Flayed Avalonian. Inside the tavern, a wolf and a witch converse. Mhyrra: "The skull firsssst pup. The staff comes after." The wolf swallowed. It wasn't often that he felt nervous. The past months had involved preparing for this moment. Hunting a rarity. Claiming the kill. Not an easy task. The staff was formerly owned by the eminent, but now dead, Necromancer of Shadowmere, Krell. The skull had to be worth it. He spoke, the soft menacing growl gliding across the table: "Fenrir Bloodcloak keeps his word. The skull is yours." He placed the grinning skull on the table. "Is the staff mine?" Mhyrra hissed, fingers stretching out. "Aye, the staff is yours." Her fingers brushed the jawline of the skull. "At last, My Lord." Her head rose; "Fenrir, you are forever an ally of the Symbeline Coven. I never thought I would hold his skull in my hand. But your hunt has given me the skull of Vladivus, Lord of Shadowmere." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A freebuild to further my story. Hope you enjoy the story! C+C welcome!
  17. Hey all! Here's my latest build to share with you! It's a battleship from the Kyrrath army, that defends Kyrrath from dangers from the swamp... Here are the Pics: I hope you enjoy my build! C&C Welcome! Jaapxaap
  18. Hey all! I just completed a new freebuild! (Or, actually i build this for the CCC, but it fits really well in Nocturnus... and I van post it here as well as use it as an entry) It's a haunted Inn, located somewhere in the dangerous deeplands of Nocty... and probably it isn't safe inside the Inn as well... I haven't made a story yet,so you guys will have to do it with the pics for now :) I also made a video about the playable function! Not that high quality, but it shows how well this function works out :) I hope you guys enjoyed my build! C&C welcome! Cheers, jaapxaap

    Feast with friends

Once a year there is a nice and private feast in Nocturnus. You only can join by a personal invitation. And with that you got a bow, which you have to wear during the feast. The best about that fest is as usual the food, but have a look by yourself: Smiling pig ;-)

    A fiery Bandit (Free Build)

Okay first off, this is my first Free Build, my first build for Historica period. So it might not be amazing but I don't think it's terrible. Constructive Criticism is appreciated. It features my character Dorshov the wizard, And yeah, on to the story: The wind rustled through the trees in one of the dense forests in Nocturnus. Step step clack, step step clack. The rhythmic sounds of foot steps and a walking stick echoed through the trees. An old man rounded the bend and started for the small bridge that spanned the small gorge cut by the creek that it surrounded. Ahead of him, on the opposite bank hidden behind a tree was a lone bandit. From his hiding place, he stared covetously at the large red jewel at the tip of the old mans walking stick. . As the old man stepped onto the bridge the bandit leapt out from his hiding place and charged forward! The old man (Dorshov), raised his staff and cried out a guttural word. And fire blasted from his staff, and the bandit screamed as he was consumed by fire.As the bandit crumbled to ash, Dorshov resumed his journey leaving the a mound of ash and a sword behind... finis (that's Latin for finish or end) As I said already compliments and criticism is welcome, thank you for taking the time to look at this. As requested I have added pictures of the entire build.

    The Streets Of Skavenport

The City of Skavenport was one of the strangest cities in Nocturnus, where indeed many a strange town existed. Maybe it was even one of the most peculiar cities in all of Historica. But at the first glance a visitor could find no difference to any other bustling town. There were half timbered houses, large and small, built without any sign of logic; older houses with crooked roofs and sagged walls, newer houses attached to the others whereever a free corner could be found. Houses lined to long winding alleys. Some of the larger streets were paved, or once had been at least, but most were muddy and rough. Everywhere the reisdents were busy, hushing through the streets, children were playing, and barkers could be heared. All in all it was a loud place full of life and hustle. But this most special town was inhabited by rats. Not only rats, but rats and men together, side by side. Because this was the city of Osric Isentooth, the Rat Lord. Long ago, when the rats, were driven out of their realm far in the northern Rakath Mountains, Osric led them all through Nocturnus to the eastern shore. But the rats had been weakened and were disheartened. So Osric called for people all over Historica to follow him and join his cause. So the men of Skavenport had come. They were neither lords nor noble knights, not even brave farmers or diligent craftsmen. These men had been thieves and robbers, smugglers and all sort of sinister fellows. That kind of people decent citizen would call rats. And said:"You may live like vermin under your kind, or you live free and proud under us rats." So vagabonds turned into most respectable citizens. They became farmers and craftsmen and merchants. Thieves, who had never known other than loneliness, became the fathers of families. And the rats on the other hand adapted much of the manners of their new neighbours. Where they once had lived in caverns and dug tunnels they now inhabited tall houses and walked other broad streets. They learned to esteem precious fabric and to trade with all kinds of goods (a new and very strong domain of the rat people). They learned how to grow crops and even how to tame the sea. Some travelled far away aboard black sailed ships and returned with spices from isles as far in the south as any mariner ever dared to sail. And the rats and the men lived henceforth in union, and nothing ever would divide them. So, finally I can present you the first build of my city! Enjoy Skavenport!

    Glance Into The Future

"Damn ol' man! This was the last time!" Cedryc the Innkeeper came running out of the Leaking Barrel. "Where me coin? I've got enough dopey boozers here, I don't need a bilking wizard!" The old man mumbled an unintelligible song and tottered along the path. "I swear it to you, Perry, Coin now, or that door will remain closed for ya." The wizard stopped his waving walk immediately, pricked up ears and eventually turned around:" Cedryc? Is that you? Ah...my old ears. I thought I heard someone. What can I do for you?" "Don't take me for a fool- You heard me. Just foot the bill." Peregryn Ratchett, the purple wizard straightened up, trying to pose with great dignity, and said:" You are in luck today, Mister Barliman. For I am a wizard, and not one of those smirking charlatans, who try to confuse the more simple men with their conjuring tricks. Nor I be one of those who speak with somber voice, moaning and talking of dark things to come, only to frighten the good rural men. I am a real wizard, and real wizardry is my craft. So speak, how can I serve you?" "Oh no! Not again! I know your wizardry. What's with that 'enchanted frying pan` you gave me last time? You transfigured my daughters cat. Every time I put it on the fire it starts screaming miserably. And I cannot lay a fish in it without it vanishing." "Meeeoow", the frying pan made a purring sound in Cedry's hand. "It takes great knowledge to cast such a spell. You should be aware of my skills. Once kings asked for my advice and many a noble lord beseeched me to grant him a glimpse into his fortune." "Ha! Fortune! say you what: If you really can let me have a look into future, then I forget about the bill." Perry made a meaningful expression:"So be it. But you shall be warned! Even a small glance into a man's future could drive him mad. Neither do I have the possibility to destine the time and place of the vision, nor can I influence what you will see. Now we need something...a looking glass, ah, the kitten will do. Hold up the pan." The purple wizard held his hand upon the frying pan, mumbling spells in a obscure deep voice, his eyes closed. Suddenly the bottom of the pan seemed to dissolve, and a sallow green light shimmered through. Then the vision came: "Meeow!" The frying pan flew away and hit on the ground, now being the kitten again. "What? Where? Why??..What?" Cedryc, the poor Innkeeper cowered on the ground, still starring into the pictures, which now were burned into his mind. "Hm...That was not right. The effect was by far too strong. My poor Cedryc, I am afraight these things were not destined for your eyes. I warned you that I have now influence on it." Perry felt very sober now. He sank into deep thoughts about what he had seen:" Great things are about to come. War is coming to these lands again. The Black Spire's forces are on the rise. And the fate of the East, and maybe of all of Historica now depend on very few who are still bolt enough to challenge Lord Raavage. I must hurry. It seems that I have a part to play again in the greater story." "What are you talking about?? What did you do to my eyes? Just get out of my head!" "I feel somewhat guilty for your current condition, though I did warn you. Maybe I can effect some other magic to help you out? But hurry, I' am busy now. I have to care about greater things than an Innkeepers daily worries." "Leave, just leave for king's sake! Forget about the bill- just go! What insanity to open a tavern in the bloody Darklands! I'll go back to Albion!" Cedryc ripped of the door and stumbled inside. "You are right, my dear friend. There is no time to waste. I must go now. Hopefully it is't too late." So this is my first contributin for our collaboration about the Nocturnus resistance. I hope you will like Perry Ratchett, the purple wizard. He will have a lot of screen time in future stories. I'm not so happy with the pictures of the vision. Originally I had something more nebulous in mind, but I wanted to finally post the story. Enjoy!
  25. Hey all! Kyrrath is growing and growing, and there are some ideas to make a trading route from Skarenport to Kyrrath, so from here all goods can be send through the rest of Nocturnus. But to make this work, it has to be kinda safe(for Nocturnus standards... ^^). This isn't easy to get but one of the problems to make a safe route is solved: From now on, there's a new ceremony in Kyrrath: Each Monday someone will be chosen and be fed to Bigteeth. So Bigteeth will have enough food and won't eat much innocents anymore. Normally a Criminal will be chosen(like this week) but when there isn't, there will always be a Mitgardian in between the borders of Kyrrath.... Here are the pics of my build: Here some pics of the background and Bigteeth: I've this build also made for the CCC, category Bring out your Dead. I hope you enjoyed my build and I want to thank you for your attention :) C&C always welcome! Have a nice day! Jaap
