  1. Hello guys. This is my first review (perhaps and new post) in this forum, so I bit nervous about am I doing all things right, also I worrying about my English skills :) Ok, never mind. As I have writing reviews on this set in several others languages I found there is no any information about these series yet neither on BrickSet or Bricklink, so I nervous of being pathfinder - it's not my role :D But on another hand I'm very exited because no one have reviewed this one (may be is, but didn't seen). Ok, now we start: Set#: 70739 Name: Airjitzu Kai Flyer Theme: Ninjago Year: 2015 Pieces: 47 (counted all except minifigure and his mask) Minifigs: 1 MSP: € 9,99 Take a look of this awesome flying model. At first glance it doesn't look so cool, but when you test it, your opinion will change, this stuff is really fun, especially when you're playing in team (: Packaging is very similar to Legends of Chima Speedorz theme (those which are more newer). Also there is some similar functions including that belt. From another side there is some pictures on how to construct this model, how to rip it and fly :) There is also pictured Kai (red ninja) minifigure, some weapons and two golden shuriken. Also advert of all Airjitzu sets in this line yet. Instructions - there is no any file for now in Lego Service web, but perhaps they will ad soon. Also inside the booklet there is some kind of link to the web page, where should be some of Airjitzu hints, from how to till watch how I can :) But still nothing. Now I'm thinking, may be it's a bug, that we have these sets in our local stores already, when all the world is awaiting for it's release? :D This is that belt I mentioned before. Looks not very strong? Trust me it is :) As these sets were designed to kids, who uses bricks not very carefully (not all but a majority) so some parts should be made very strong, and with friend from our LUG we have tested it well :) Ok, lets see how looks our new styled ninja Kai. As I don't like Ninjago a lot, so all minifigures seems to me the same - not interesting, but not this time. This one restyled minifigure looks pretty cool from both sides, even mask looks more detailed than ever (maybe be shown). There is enough cool prints form front and back. In face side we see any kind of hieroglyph (anyone knows the meaning?) and from back we can see something reminding to lion (or tiger) face. Also like that flame pattern. As you can see this guy also has red skin head - perhaps hands and arms are showing red skin too. But from face mimic it looks frightening, is he really good guy? This is how looks almost whole set (excluding extra parts, weapons and rip belt). As shown on the box, minifigure can be placed in the glass cabin, but its funny, because there is no studs on the floor so minifigure could stand fixated. Besides this air spinner flying better without figure. There is no chance cabin will open in the air, because it fits well in sockets. Lever is designed well - its very comfortable to handle it, but it could be bigger a bit (don't forget it designed to children). What we got here? I think its one of the coolest sorts of weapons. Golden shuriken and single sword are a bit flexible. Some extra parts. Frequently extra parts in these sets come from weapons, some time from lever. And this is how it looks in comparison - see any big differences? All sets are almost the same, change only a color, and you'll get another handle. Also there is different icons with hieroglyphs. Spin it carefully, don't point it on your face, don't spin it strong at home - there is some consequences :D Thanks for your time and I'm waiting for comments :) The bigger photos you can find on our LitLug Flickr acc.
  2. And the title and prize of the best airjitz- Cyclondo, you mean! Jay, will you cut that out already! As I was saying, the title and prize for the best airjitzu-er goes to... Malefesium? Kapau, shh! Goes to Zane! Mostly because I don't have nearly this many trans pieces in any other color, haha! Built for LEGO's Airjitzu Trophy contest. Here it is the pic I used to actually enter the contest, as I figured it would have a better chance than one with a nice and clean background! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!
  3. Fire up the Engines! Introduction: January 2013 saw six new Ninjago sets featuring a new type of Ninja suit and the stone army! Let's check out the smallest set of the line today; Kai's Fire Mech, a fiery looking robot, all geared up and ready to go! With two minifigures (Kai and a stone army warrior), 102 pieces for $9.99, this set is an excellent introduction to the Ninjago theme! Product Details: Name: Kai's Fire Mech Number: #70500 Theme: Ninjago Year: 2013 Pieces: 102 Minifigures: 2 Price: USD $9.99 Sources: Brickset, LEGO Shop@Home Paper Contents (Instructions and Box): The box is a fair size, and has a nice background of rock and light blue sky which contrasts well with the bright green and gold of the top and bottom banner. The Mech is shown in a well posed stance, although I'm afraid it would be extremely difficult to balance the stone warrior in such a fashion! Below are the front, sides, and back of the box (showcasing the possibility of the Mech as well as the fire blade), respectively: (Click for a larger view:) The instructions feature the same graphics as the box but without as much information; just the set number: A (more or less) random page: The inventory and a picture of the completed build: On the next page and on the back we get some LEGO advertisement, geared toward the online Ninjago site, the Club magazine, and the traditional back page advertisement. And, last but not least, the Dreaded Sticker Sheet (DSS) - after the removal of all but one sticker, that is. Fortunately the sheet is not that big here, and the stickers do all add to the build. I didn't have much trouble putting them on straight but then I don't generally have problems with that. The Minifigures: As is typical with ten dollar sets, this one includes two minifigures - Kai in a new outfit which many fans have designated "Kimono" (though it seems there is no official name or at best, ZX), and a little midget stone warrior, complete with a crossbow, red quiver, and a red straw hat! Both have back printing, however since the stone warrior's is just a continuation of the front lined gray it is not pictured below. Kai (back and front): The Stone Warrior: The Build: I personally found the build fairly enjoyable (though the arms and legs were a bit repetitive) and certainly fast. I was building in the back seat of a car so that might have made a difference, but it's certainly a neat little set that uses SNOT (Studs Not On Top) techniques pretty well to give it both smoothness and sturdiness. Anyway, the pieces that caught my attention were the flat golden studs and the cheese slope (because I didn't have any of the former and only a very few of the latter), the fire blade - in particular the bottom telescope piece as it's in more of a metallic gold rather than warm gold - and the shorter and longer L plates. After finishing up the build, the extra pieces were a flat golden stud, golden cheese slope, black clip, red 1x1 stud, and, rather to my surprise, an extra golden Katana. The Mech itself has an appealing color scheme and is quite sturdy. The "shoulders" in particular struck me as a good piece use, and the build is very pose-able (as I will be illustrating...). The blaster does look a bit blunt, and I'm not a huge fan of the sudden jump from the body to the shoulders (I, in fact, modified that myself). Front and Back: Can a Fire Mech do a headstand? On one hand? You bet! I'm not quite sure how Kai is liking that position though... There are a couple of other neat details to the Mech that add to the experience. For one thing, the Mech bears several resemblances to the Samurai Mech - though more in color than in shape - and they complement each other well. The second nice detail is that the Mech actually attaches to Cole's Earth Driller. Admittedly not quite in such a small package as it did in the show, still it was an interesting surprise (credit goes to whoever it was that mentioned this in the Ninjago thread, I can't remember who but I didn't come up with it on my own!). Here's how it's done: Ready for the road! Conclusion: Playability: 9/10 - The Mech is sturdy, very poseable, and provides plenty of play potential! Design: 7/10 - As I mentioned the width jump from the shoulders to the body is a bit annoying, and probably the major flaw in the build for me. Other than that though, the colors complement each other well, and the SNOT works very well. Minifigures: 9/10 - I really like the way Kai looks in his new outfit, and the back printing just adds to it! Plus it's all very sharp and clear. The stone warrior also has a nice torso print. I only wish he had something better than a crossbow (or in a different color) and it's too bad LEGO doesn't do short leg printing... Price: 8.5/10 - With 102 pieces it hits the 10 piece per dollar ratio fairly on the head, and though I don't find the robotic style pieces useful for my type of MOCing (My Own Creationing), some of the others will (or have!) come in handy. Overall: 8.5/10 - All things considered, Kai's Mech is an excellent little set, with an eye-catching color scheme and an appealing couple of figures. Given that it's a Mech, a lot of poseability is expected, and the final build doesn't disappoint! The building experience is about what one would expect, and the Mech's ability to attach to Cole's driller is the icing on the cake. The Ninjago nut in me would probably have told me to get it anyways, but even just as a LEGO fan, it's a great little set! And that concludes our look at Kai's Fire Mech! Until next time,
  4. Introduction: The hiss of spinning blades filled the air. A hovering Nindroid scanned the countryside. Suddenly he started. “Roger, 3160.” “Roger.” “He’s right up ahead over the next hill. 500 yards, I’d say.” “Zeroing in. You see the Technoblade?” “Right there. Go get ‘em! Roger.” The glint in 3160’s eyes showed that the last part wasn’t really necessary. “Roger.” Kai, in his X-1 Ninja Charger, rolled lazily down the road. Before he glances behind him and picks up speed, let’s freeze the scene for a few minutes and inspect the vehicles… starting all the way back at the boxed up deal! Product Details: Name: X-1 Ninja Charger Number: #70727 Theme: Ninjago Year: 2014 Pieces: 426 Minifigures: 3 Price: USD $39.99 Sources: Brickset, LEGO Shop@Home That Stuff that Grows on Trees (Paper Contents): Fresh off the shelf. Mmm! This Ninjago box follows the typical LEGO box type, with lots of bright, eye-grabbing colors and a satisfyingly speedy, slashing look. The front of the box shows off the set to its best advantage, while the back demonstrates some of the neat functions we’ll be checking out. The front of the larger instruction booklet has the same set picture but on a very different background. The back advertises some of the latest sets. A random instruction page from this booklet shows a nice light blue background with a bit of a digital effect on the corner. The smaller booklet has the same graphics in front, and a Win! Advertisement – this time featuring a LEGO minifigure (a Ninjago minifigure, in fact), Lloyd Garmadon. And a random page from this booklet shows us the same design as the previous one. The inventory is found in the back of the larger booklet. And lastly, we have the sticker sheet, with detail that isn’t absolutely necessary, but does add a lot to the final build. Building the Set: After all that paper it’s nice to get to some good old ABS plastic! Bag one empties out to build the minifigures, Nindroid vehicles, and motorcycle (which ends up inside the charger), which we’ll be looking at in detail later. Bag number two. Those pieces get us here: And bag number three empties out into this: Which gets us this far: Last but not least, bag number four: And that completes the X-1 Charger! The building experience was quite agreeable (barring the fact that I was building in a very hot environment). I did mess up a couple times but that very likely was because I have a tendency to skip steps, and rely on spotting the other pieces on the next step… which doesn’t always happen! There are quite a few extra pieces including an extra mask. The Minifigures: Kai and two Nindroids make up the minifigure count in this set, and they muster up pretty well. Only one of the Nindroids has leg printing, which is a shame, but both of them have very detailed torsos. Kai also has a very nice torso, but the lack of leg printing really spoils the look. Nevertheless, he cuts a dashing figure with his crazy hairdo and ninja mask! Removing the three masks gives us a nice look at the faces. Who would have thought that Nindroids had teeth? The backs are all printed, which is a nice treat. Both Nindroids have printing on the back of their heads as well. I could see those prints coming in handy on a Sci-fi build! Nindroid Vehicles: What has teeth and goes round and round? A circular saw of course, and that’s what I’m guessing this Nindroid Vehicle is based off of… or perhaps I should say, based on! It has a pretty nifty look, and while simple enough, still uses some nice pieces. The second vehicle is also an airborne one, but looks a bit more maneuverable and more of a scouting affair. The last Nindroid vehicle drops the nin and is just a droid. It’s pretty neat, but has a perverse desire to lie down! X-1 Charger: You can’t catch me! I’m the gingerbread man… ahem. I’m in an X-1 Charger, that’s all. This vehicle has quite an eye catching color scheme, and a very sleek race car look. The curves and angles are almost perfect, and the little gold highlights set the red off to best advantage. Kai has a neat little (stickered) control panel up front. The Charger has several sweet functions. For one thing, there are a pair of flick-fire missiles that can be pulled out! It also makes use of the new spring loaders: The darts can be put in either side of the loader and click easily into place. To release them, all you have to do is push down slightly on the back end. The entire affair is mounted on a swivel, and, besides turning around, can also be aimed up or down. In closed position (completely down), the swivel function is locked, but the dart can still shoot, so be careful! If Kai’s inside, an accidental shot will give him a wake up tap on the back of his head! The coolest function, and the one that really sells the set, is the ejecting motorcycle hidden inside. A casual look at the X-1 Charger does seem to suggest that there’s a little more than meets the eye, but it’s not clear what, until after opening the hood (which can be done by pushing on the two black stickered levers located along the sides). After opening the hood, all that remains to be done is to push the convenient button located on the back of the Charger. And, voila! You are now ready to escape! Or… not. Conclusion: With such a striking look and such slick functions, it probably comes as no surprise that I found this set to be quite enjoyable. Building it was a good experience that kept up plenty of variety and didn’t lose my attention. The final set was rewarding, especially with the built-in motorcycle eject function, which really adds to what would otherwise just be a cool sports car, but is now a nifty ninja vehicle! Overall, I was suitably impressed and pleasantly intrigued. Playability: 9.5/10 Given the motorcycle function alone, this set has huge play potential. Add the fact that it has two different kinds of vehicles and three little Nindroid sections, the X-1 Charger becomes a set that will be sure to provide any youngster with hours of fun! Design: 8/10 I’m sure fitting the motorcycle in there without incongruity was not easy, and the designers did an excellent job of that, besides using some nice pieces and techniques to liven things up. Minifigures: 4/10 This was the only let down part of the set to me, I really would have liked some leg printing. Kai could also use a new face (or another side), but that’s a minor point in comparison with the other one. Price: 7.5/10 Of course, we’d always like the price to be cheaper, but given the amount of pieces and the ultimate size of the build, it really is worth the money, at least to me. Overall: 7.25/10 In summary, this set is a fun one to build and also provides a good play experience afterwards. The fact that there are three Nindroid vehicles means plenty of ‘bad guys’ to help mix things up and make the odds a bit more even for play, something I’ve often felt to be missing in other large sets. For the more (what shall we say?) reserved fan (no swooshing desired), the set is an eye-catcher. Either as a standalone build, or as part of an extensive Ninjago collection, this set will look great on display, and provide visitors with a nice ‘Wow!’ when you demonstrate the ejection function! Overall, it’s a great set at a good price point that won’t disappoint!* So go ahead and take the X-1 Charger for a spin… but do be sure to look behind you! *if you are reasonable in your expectations, etc., etc.
  5. Hi EB, here is another review of a set from previous Ninjago wave ; the titanium dragon. Name : 70748 : Titanium dragon Theme : Ninjago Year : 2015 Pieces : 360 Price : 39,99€ The box Middle-size box with a lovely color code and this wave's "jungle" environment. As always the back of the box shows the different play features. Stickers / Pieces Small stickers sheet to add some details : And 4 bags of pieces (some seem pretty empty) : Well, not a lot of interesting parts Still some beautiful Anacondrai equipment parts and a dark tan "scale" wedge that were already spotted in the 70749 - and 2 parts that I never had before : - flat silver parts that will be used as wings (also present in the Milano set) - technic pin connectors : round 1L in dark bluish grey (in some recent sets - but never seen before for me) Minifigures Again a nice figures combo Let's start with Zane that is now the titanium ninja with a detailed dual head : Then Clouse - magician and Chen's right-hand man - in my opinion the star of this set Dual head for him too and a nice haircut (from SW rebels sets - in black this time) : Last but not least Chop'rai - snake version of Chop with these wonderful shoulder pads : Build We start by building a little outpost for our villains, that hides a key (don't know what this key opens but it seems to be valuable ^^) and a small catapult that throws a chain bola. Now let's move on to the main build - the dragon itself. Not quite convinced with the overall result Good point for the brick-built head, in my opinion it is a great improvement compared to the previous ones with 2 meta-pieces for their heads, but it doesn't look like a dragon head for me. I don't know what to think about the wings either, maybe not the better choice. Not very dragon-ish for me Remaining parts One extra technic pin connector round 1L - else nothing very noticeable. Opinion Well, I guess after reading my review you understand that I am only half-convinced with this set. In one hand I'm a huge fan of the minifigures - 2 great exclusives ones and a beautiful snake - but on the other hand it is really the dragon's body that worries me Especially with previous dragons in Ninjago sets that were really good. Beside the dragon's aesthetic that I am maybe the only one to dislike - the set is very playable, and Ninjago sets are often seen with an interesting discount. So in my opinion I would say that with a lower price why not - else better add some extra money and go for the fantastic 70749. One last pic to conclude :
  6. Hello all and welcome to my first ever Eurobrick Review! Sorry about the links I'm trying to get that fixed. I am LegendsOfNinjago and I will be taking you through the newest Ninja HQ: Destiny's Bounty II! Because I built the sets 3 days ago, there will not be any Building or unopened bag pictures. So sorry in advanced. HERE WE (NINJA)GO!!! 70738 The Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty Pieces-1251 Minifigures-9+2 Screamers Year-Summer 2015 Prices-UK-£99.99, €119.99, $119.99 (Bought mine via AmazonUK for $140) Let's start with the box! This bad boy is big and brooding. I didn't get pictures of the back but will try to upload those later as the box is not in my grasp currently. 2015-06-10 12.43.15.jpg , Along with the box, ou have the instrcution book. I only took a picture of the box to show you how large it is. Something like 232 pages make this bad boy my biggest book to date. There are also 10 numbered bags in this set and a sticker sheet with (I think) 18 stickers. 2015-06-10 12.43.51.jpg , (I also want to point out that the book began falling apart on me. I am unsure if this is widespread or if it was just mine.) Here are some new and recolored pieces. I like the new navy blue mouth cover aswell as all the new ghost pieces. Also the new Ninja masks are beauiful! The screamers are funny looking but can cover the top of a minifigures head (which I didn't get a picture of, but will with my Ronin Rex review). The AeroBlades are pretty coole and this set come with the Gold AeroBlade. 2015-06-10 12.51.29.jpg , Okay so here we have the Good Guys. 2015-06-10 12.45.03.jpg , Lloyd and Nya in her water garb are exclusive to this set, while Cole and Sensei (Master) Wu are not Without weapons 2015-06-10 12.46.07.jpg , Backs 2015-06-10 12.47.17.jpg , This is a new varient for Wu. This also appears in the Master Wu Dragon and his Dimension Pack. 2015-06-10 12.46.51.jpg , On to the new ghosty Baddies! 2015-06-10 12.48.18.jpg , Here we have Bansha, Morro, Spyder, Soul Archer, and Ghoultar respectively. Without Weapons 2015-06-10 12.49.19.jpg , Backs 2015-06-10 12.49.47.jpg , Morro and Spyder are "exclusive" to this as Spyder is just one of many of the named Ghost Ninjas with the same basic 3 looks and Morro has a cape in this set compared to the capeless one in his Airjitzu Flyer. ON TO THE DRAGON!!!! So the dragon in this set is meidum sized and one of the better looking ones in this line of sets. 2015-06-10 12.56.29.jpg , From head to tail he's over a foot. 2015-06-10 12.57.06.jpg , His head is super poseible, but because of the way it's attached to the neck, it has a problem of falling off. 2015-06-10 12.33.27 , He's made up of alot of nice piece but has alot of exposed studs, gaps and a set of technic spheres just sitting there. (balls would've sounded dirty). 2015-06-10 12.57.15.jpg , BOUNTY TIME!!!! This guy is a monster!! far my favorite ship Lego has ever produced. Alot of really nice details and alot more deck space that the previous Bounty. 2015-06-10 13.04.33.jpg , So the sails are the same thick plastic used for the Space Batman wings and HawkMan's wings from he DC sets. There is a lever you can pull down to expand the wings and a very clever locking mechanism to keep them from falling and all you have to do to have them "undo" is pull up the small lever. This entire wing system is lock into the hull of the boat so they are super secure. 2015-06-10 13.04.42.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.09.26.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.09.37.jpg , Here's the magic underneith the wings. 2015-06-10 13.08.56.jpg , On the boat there are also these cool cannons. Just press down the black stickered "L" piece and you have studs all over the place. 2015-06-10 13.07.18.jpg , For the rest of the deck you have the new dragon head which is nicely brick built, 2015-06-10 13.14.17.jpg , You have these to prison doors locking up swords. (They are probably in time out for being too mean) 2015-06-10 13.13.57.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.14.07.jpg , Then there is the Cabin. Here's the enterance. I was alittle disappointed there are gaps on either side of the doorway, so I may try to fill those. 2015-06-10 13.06.37.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.14.30.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.08.29.jpg , Here is inside. There isn't much buts some comupter screens, 2 chairs and some levers. There is also a mouse and a cheese wedge, which is accaully representing a cheese wedge! 2015-06-10 13.08.11.jpg , Here is the back of the cabin. You have the newish spring loaded cannons with the hooks. This area springs out with the wings on the side which I'll show you next. 2015-06-10 13.07.38.jpg , So, here are the side wings. There are things of beauty! Here are the steps of the transformation. 2015-06-10 13.10.23.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.10.46.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.11.00.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.11.11.jpg , Pretty cool, ehh? Probably my second favorite the about the Bounty, but my favorite is the hidden AirBike. 2015-06-10 13.11.58.jpg , Located in the roof of the cabin, this little bike shop could almost be missed! The Bike shop is complete with the all the tools Nya could need including a few extra. 2015-06-10 13.13.33.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.12.12.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.12.26.jpg , "WEEEEEEEE!!! I mean attack!" 2015-06-10 13.13.02.jpg , This boat also has a handle, but it's kinda flimsy. I took it out, but out it back in for the sake of the review. It's only help in a small technic pin with a ball joint attached. 2015-06-10 13.09.54.jpg , The set also come with a black teasure chest and a boox full of what I assume to be silver coins. 2015-06-10 13.15.20.jpg , I didn't get a picture of all the extra pieces as they have already found there way into sorting bins, but here are the notible ones I could remember. 2015-06-10 13.15.47.jpg , FINAL WORDS All in all this set is extemely worth the money. I payed $20 more than the US MSRP and the equivilant to the UK prices and am extremely happy with the set! The Bounty is very sturdy and has great "swoshability", trust me once my family left the house last night, it was open season on the ghost. The Bounty is also very well detailed and has a ton of cool features including the AirBike, the side booster Wings, and the top wings. The dragon while having some minor design flaws is still really cool and can be fixed with alittle TLC. The minifigure are all very well detailed! And this bad boy has 9 figures! Easily a 5 out of 5 in my books. Full Set: 2015-06-10 13.31.04.jpg , Hope you liked my review and if you need any more pictures or have any questions ask away! EXTRAS!! Althought Lloyd doen't have a face mask in this set they do look pretty cool with the suits 2015-06-10 13.16.14.jpg , Sensei Wu with the pirate hat!! 2015-06-10 13.28.30.jpg , Dragon Dance! 2015-06-10 12.58.59.jpg ,

Set Name : Titan Mech Battle Set Number : 70737 Piece count : 754 Price : £39.99 Figures : 5 Front of Box. It does seem like a large box for a £40 set, but I guess it needs the width to show off the artwork. Back of Box. We get a couple of panels showing another battle image, a few images of the characters included, plus notifying you of which Aeroblade you get, and that there are others to collect. Top of Box. We see the five characters that we get in the set, plus one of the little Screemers, and the 1:1 scale image using Zane to convey the size. What you get inside. Two instruction books, two sticker sheets (one for each mech) and six bags. Bag one builds the little rock outcrop and missile shooting platform. Bags two and three make up Zane's Titan Mech (which also appears to be named Zane 2.0) and bags four, five and six make up Mech-enstein (yes thats the official name) (As a change from what I've done with previous reviews, I'm going to post the parts selections for each bag and their subsequent leftovers, and leave the reveal pictures for after) Parts selection from bag one. Leftover pieces from bag one. Parts selection from bag two. Leftover pieces from bag two. Parts selection from bag three. Leftover pieces from bag three. (Little worried about the 1x1 brick in white but after double-checking the instructions it's definitely not missing from the build) Parts selection from bag four. Leftover pieces from bag four. Parts selection from bag five. Leftover pieces from bag five. Parts selection from bag six. No leftover pieces from this bag, which was a nice surprise. So with the build complete, and the weather being very agreeable, I haphazardly carried it all outside for some better photo options. First up is this little rocky build which holds the Aeroblade. Lego label this as part of the Samurai X cave. Nothing major to note here, it does it's job for the story element of the set. Second is the little turret with the spring loaded missile. A little bit of back up for Zane, most likely included due to the slightly less imposing look of the Titan Mech to Mech-enstein. Samurai X. No major changes to her outfit that I can see, and comes with double face as standard. Jay. Once again we have a new outfit for the second half. He comes with a single sided face. Zane. Everyone's favourite nindroid is backing sporting the same new style costume as his fellow ninja Jay. He retains his double-sided face from the first half year sets. Skreemer. This little ghoul appears in multiple sets, and seems to be the grunt of the ghoulish baddies. These can be attached to a figure's head, I'm guessing to represent them being possessed. Scythe Master Ghoultar. (A pain in the behind to balance on his ghostly lower half) The obvious opposition for Jay and Nya to fend off. Blade Master Bansha. The driver of the Mech-enstein. The Titan Mech. I'm happy to say that it's every bit as good as I hoped it would be. The thing I like the most about this is the fact that it still looks darn awesome without a pilot. A couple of plates to fill the gap and you're good to go. The other thing that also attracted me to it is, weirdly, the legs. I can never MOC the legs of a mech to the pontiff me liking it, and yet theres such a simple build to them yet they look so good! I've been disheartened recently with the lack of any knees on the mech's that Lego have released recently, but with this it doesn't affect it at all, the model is still very posable. The blades on the arms of the mech are a nice touch, and the fact the designer placed them facing in opposite directions is a nice change, and stops the model looking too symmetrical. Mech-enstein. One of the largest vehicles in the ghoul arsenal, it's definitely an imposing beast. Think how General Greivous would look if he were in the world of Ninjago and was a dribble mech, and this is what you'd get. Four arms with massive sword blades, fierce claws, lots of ghoulish green and a creepy spider for good measure. Alas, there is one problem... There is hardly any movement in the ankles. The brown slope and spoiler piece limit the possibility to almost nothing. It suffers in the same kind of ways that Emmet's Constructo Mech did. Removing the spoiler helps with lending forward, but the brown slope piece is integral, and would need replacing with a 2x2 rather than the 2x3 used. Other than that, this set is perfect. Zane only appears in his normal ninja outfit in this set, but all the other figures show up in other sets with no change to their printings. I think one of the other major drawing points of this set is its PPP (price per piece). If my calculations are correct, then this set comes in at a pretty amazing £0.05 per piece. I know that it's not a licensed theme etc, but its still very good value considering the large amount of white and new coloured pieces included. I would go as far to say that this set is the highlight of not just the second half year sets, but for all of 2015 Ninjago. I hope you all enjoyed reading my review, and you're welcome to add any extras to the review if you wish. Some extra pictures can be found on my flickr at :
  8. Greetings, this is my first moc posted on Eurobricks. Here I was experimenting mainly with getting good camera pictures with lighting and extra. Sorry they are are vertically taken, didn't think about that till seeing it now. Thoughtful criticism is appreciated since I'm still trying to get the picture taking and mocing process down.
  9. Fictional background: Built in 1917 for Throwing Star Freight Lines as an ocean going tramp steam ship, the Morrow II was constructed in a far off land not shown on any Earth globe or map. The ship is commanded by Captain Karloff and has been used by Lord Sam Sinister at various times in many schemes involving stolen artifacts and lost treasures. Secretly however, Captain Karloff is working with Johnny Thunder to compile a file on Sam's activities to give to the proper authorities at some point in the future. However, Karloff must be careful – those who dare cross Lord Sam Sinister are few – and those who survive betraying him are even less in numbers! Real background: I built this ship from two Adventurers sets: I used the boat from set 5975 (T-Rex Transport) and modified slightly to resemble set 5976 (River Expedition). The ship features a boiler, steering wheel and a bigger smoke-stack. I have also added a complete bridge with removable roof instead of the open topped one on my previous version of the ship. Also, this ship is meant to have a Ninjago connection in as such that Karloff from set 70756 (Dojo Showdown) became a sea captain and commands this ship in journeys from Ninjago across the Endless Ocean, through the Sea of Time and into Johnny Thunder's world of the early 1900's and back. The name of the company he runs under is called "Throwing Star" after the ninja weapon and the many White / Red / Yellow Star ocean-going companies of the 1900's, such as White Star Lines, of RMS Titanic fame. Here you can see inside the bridge, featuring a large steering wheel. The rear of the ship is not very detailed. As a side note: The ship can hold Sam Sinister's car in the front section. Alternatively, it could hold random freight / crates. After competing in the Tournament of Elements, Karloff, Master of Metal, left Ninjago and became a ship captain for the Throwing Star Freight Lines. He makes runs of Master Chen's noodles to the world of Johnny Thunder, where the fast food-style noodle house is a massive hit. To travel across time and space to early 20th century Earth from Ninjago, Captain Karloff travels from his base at New Ninjago City to Chen's Island, where he picks up noodles, sauce, fortune cookies, and other foodstuffs. He then travels past Astor City to AnitMatter's former hideout, where a large portal transports his ship (the Morrow II) across The Ocean of Space & the Sea of Time to a stretch of ocean in between Bermuda and the coast of Florida. He then sails to various ports of call on both sides of the Atlantic ocean before heading back to the Bermuda Triangle and on to his home base at the New Ninjago City docks. NOTE: Captain Karloff should be wearing this suit and pants with the hat shown above: This ship is next on the to-buy list, just before Johnny Thunder's office and way ahead of Sinister Manor. 10. I saw the Ninjago 70752 Jungle Trap set, and on a whim remade it into something more Viking-ish. The MOD is functionally identical to the original; a footfall on the top step triggers the trap. I've replaced the orc-swords with axes and the palm fronds with the more traditional foliage piece. The grass is now snow, and the wooden structure has been replaced with a runestone. "A lone Viking searches high in the mountains for the legendary Golden Spear. The sagas say it was once wielded by a great warrior, and lies in wait for one wise enough to retrieve it unscathed."
  11. Following the Bushido honor code, a disgraced Samurai is carrying out the Seppuku ritual. The Seppuku act consists of the Samurai warrior performing a ceremonial self-disembowelment in front of spectators. After the samurai is finished, he stretches out his neck for his kaishakunin (assistant) to decapitate him. The ritual is extremely violent. Blood is spilled all over the site of the act, even the white flowers have turned red...

  13. Hello All, Thought I would share one of my winter projects. This is my uber mod of the Ultra Dragon from set 9450 "Epic Dragon Battle" Just before New Year's eve 2014, I stopped into my local Target and found set 9450 on a clearance end cap. It had apparently been purchased online and returned to my local store. It was marked at $65 US. So I couldn't pass it up. I'm a big Ninjago fan, but had skipped this set, as I wasn't loving the look of the Ultra Dragon compared to the series. After building it, my thoughts were confirmed. The heads had no necks. And the wings flipped forward like the tail of a peacock. I decided to MOD it to make it appear more menacing. I started by adding posable necks to the heads. This made it front heavy for the mostly 2 stud wide body. I thickened up the body to mostly 6 studs wide. And got rid of the leaver mechanism for the wings in favor of 2 ratcheted sockets on either side of the body to make the wings posable. I then redesigned the wings themselves to better resemble the earlier dragons from the series, only much larger. I've easily tripled the part count. 60cm long 51cm wing span Sorry about the lack of a background. It was too big to fit into my photo tent. More pictures can be found here: What do you think? Cheers, Duncan
  14. So yeah, another Ninjago game for the 3DS and PSvita, but this time... Well, that was unexpected. More information on the plot of the game: So, what do you think?
  15. Hello everyone this is my first review and it's on the Ninjago Knockoff sets known as Ninja Tornado Ninja, I can't show you the boxes because when I have gotten them, they never came with there boxes only the parts in there bags. now let me show you what they look like and hope you like my first review on the knockoff sets. The Price I have gotten them all together is $30 but I don't know how much it is for just one of them. Now this is something new because normally of what I know of, knockoff are mainly copy of a original Hero Factory, Bionicle or any other Lego sets but this is different, instead of making copy of set, they made there own set with a copy of a Lego Theme (that is Ninjago). The only sad thing is that there aren't any Black Ninja (Cole) and the Green Ninja. There really nothing much to say about there build because they are mainly the same build as a Normal Ultrabuild sets. also the sets quality are alright but the feet and one of the Yellow Heads cracked the 2nd time I put it on. Instructionsand and Extra Pieces: I mainly would just say "here the Instruction nothing much to it" the end let's party, at the end of that part but I it's different from Lego Ultrabuild Instruction for Normal size. The Instructions are in my opinion better then Lego Instructions of ultrabuild sets (for normal size), it don't use a Instructions book and it a little better to follow and no need to flip page to page and also put the Instruction for the weapon in one part of the page and not in like 3 pages. Also the Extra Pieces for all four of theme are 4 Red Axle (ones without Notches) and 4 Black Pin. Cards: The card look great and look a lot like the same cards that Lego had made the only thing that is different is that the back of the card have Zane and that it feels a little like sand paper. I don't know if they come in as random but if anyone getting these set's please let me know. New Parts and Recolors: The Body Armor recolor look amazing and looks like the Minifigures but have some things different with Jay they used the Rebooted Torso and the difference is that it's not all in a Blue color, Kai they used the ZX Torso and the difference with it is that the Stars are on the left and not the right, Lloyd they used the Gold Ninja Torso and the difference is the same as Jay. With Zane Torso is that it nothing the same from any of Zane torso but used Cole Rebooted Torso. Another amazing thing is that it have a Red and Blue body armor and Red is a good thing because Lego have shown a Red Body armor before and never made it into a set. The other recolor parts look great for making some good MOCs and we are going to have the Brain Attack Sword in Black from Zane and Gold from Kai plus I am going to love using that Black Brain Attack Sword, the gold one we are getting two in a office Lego Ninjago set in the summer of 2014 but it's good that we can get it before it comes out. Another thing that great about Lloyd I MEAN the Golden Ninja is that it have Golden Hand, so you can give Rocka gold hands and you don't have to keep waiting for Lego to make a Gold Hand (where your Gold Hands Lego), there are also Gold Technics pieces, I don't know what use that is for MOCing but if you're crazy about gold (like Lego) then here your Gold Technic parts. The set's also have Blue and White Size 4 Armor, the White from Zane & Kai and the Blue from Jay, plus the armor would be great for HF MOC makers. Last we also get a Breakout Sword in all Silver, Silver Spike, Black Axle 4 with Stop, Axe/Sword thing in Silver and Flame/Lightning Boltin Trans-Blue. Now my favorite thing about this, the Glatorian Head recolor and Ninja Masks, they look awesome a look like they put more in the mask and they can be great for a Ninja MOC, of what you can see they come in Blue, White, Red and Gold but again the sadly there isn't a Cole and Green Ninja so that there is a Green and Black Ninja Mask. The Glatorian Head in Yellow and have Black Eyes look great but don't like that all four of the Ninja have the same eyes (but that just me). Weapons and Upgraded parts 1. The weapons are nothing new and the don't know the name of some of the weapons, one of Kai weapon is mainly Ogrum Weapon but the good thing is if you have a love for Chain Piece like me then you can get more of those Chain from Kai. 2. Of what you can see, HF Hand, Axle Connector 2 x 3 Quadruple, Axle Connector and Half of a Spiked Ball don't have anything from stopping it from going through the axle connector and to me this is a good thing with the Axle Connector 2 x 3 Quadruple and HF Hands because with a MOCer like me, you can do a lot more with something like that. Backpack Thingy: Here how they put the Ninja Sword (aka brain Attack sword) on it's back and I really do like the Idea of this and that just back it with this... moving on. Gold and White Ninja: Set name: Golden Ninja Set Number: 504 Pieces: 53 Set name: White Ninja Set Number: 503 Pieces: 51 Just putting this out there, In my Opinion these two are my favorite out of the four. Blue and Red Ninja: Set name: Blue Ninja Set Number: 502 Pieces: 59 Set name: Red Ninja Set Number: 501 Pieces: 75 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Riaso: RIASOOOOOOOGO Ninja red: WHO IS THIS GUY Ninja White: I have no idea Overall the set's are Alright set's and I give it a 7/10 if you want to have a Ninja Mask, a new color of the Glatorian Head and a lot of new recolor and if you want to have Ultrabuilds of the ninjago Characters then I do recommend it.

    Moc-Chopov's Chopper

I'm putting the Moc here since it was build in LDD. If it belongs in the action themes forum please move it. I was bored and felt like building a skeleton motorcycle. So I did. The motorcycle was design specifically to fit a Ninjago Skeleton. It is able to hold a normal minifigure as well. All the parts used should exist IRL so technically a real life version could be built. Anyways here are pics (The silver 1x1 round tile would have had the gauge printing on it http://www.bricklink...sp?P=98138pb010) http://www.brickshel...chopper_001.png http://www.brickshel...chopper_002.png http://www.brickshel...chopper_003.png http://www.brickshel...chopper_004.png
  18. Shock the snakes with some stunning Spinjitzu! Introduction: Jay ZX is more than ready to battle, outfitted in his ZX costume, metal brackets, and Golden Double-Bladed Sword! Take on the Serpentine any time with this early 2012 Ninjago booster pack, complete with 28 pieces (including five Spinjitzu cards and three weapons)! Check out an image of the set contents (from Brickset) below: And my picture of the bag - after cutting the top off (after all, I had to get inside somehow… ) Product Details: Name: Jay ZX Number: #9553 Theme: Ninjago Year: 2012 Pieces: 28 Minifigures (included in piece count): 1 Price: USD $4.99 Source: Brickset, Peeron Non-ABS Contents (I'm pretty sure the bag is plastic, though not ABS.) As shown above, the bag front has the same Jay ZX graphics as his character card, while on either side are two yellow circles illustrating, from left to right and top to bottom, Jay ZX, the five included cards, his weapons, and the additional pieces that can be added on to the 2012 kind of spinner. On the back of the bag we have the normal legal "…components made in DENMARK, SWEDEN, HUNGARY, MEXICO and the MOON…"*er* "CZECH REPUBLIC", plus the bar code, other information, and a picture showing how Jay ZX can be "boosted" with a weapon, the pieces in his spinner, and a spinner/spinner crown (not included). Upon opening the bag and dumping it out, the contents are one plastic bag with the 23 LEGO pieces (and one extra technic pin, 3/4), the five cards (also sealed in plastic), and the "instructions" or, more accurately, play guide for the spinner game. Before opening it, we can see the same Jay ZX artwork that was on the front of the bag and also on his character card. On the back is an advertisement for, and once opened this will end up right underneath the front. And directly beneath that is the Win! advertisement, which seem to be present in almost every instruction booklet… To the right is a column showing how to build the weapons, minifigure, etc. On the other half of the pamphlet are advertisements, first for the spinners, then Kendo Kai's Training set, Kai's Blade Cycle, Jay's Storm Fighter, and Cole's Tread Assault. On the back the cards are explained in enough detail to play a game, although, without a spinner, it's not possible to do so here! For a normal set, that would be about all the paper. But, since a big highlight of the Ninjago game are the cards, we have five more "printed sheets" to deal with. The back of all the cards is the same; the Ninjago "logo", a red ninja (with the standard ninja eyebrows, not Kai's, and a sword right behind each shoulder) slowly fading into black, underneath which is a advertisement, "LEGO and the LEGO logo are trademarks of the LEGO Group," plus, in this case at least, a six digit number (110642, if you were wondering) that is the same for all five cards. Jay ZX's character card is awesome in terms of graphics, he really looks impressive in the middle of a storm of lightning! As far as SP (and if you're not interested in the game, bear with me, the cards shouldn't take that long!) he's certainly not a bad character, with 1100 total SP (the bars on the sides of battle cards, and on the bottom here), arranged in a fairly even format, 200 Fire, 400 Lightning, 200 Earth, and 300 Ice. (There's a lot more I could say about any card, but for the sake of simplicity, we'll stop there!) Fast as Lightning, the only golden card in this booster pack, and also a Build card (see the bottom left symbol-in-circle), since you are supposed to "Build the above on spinner until a player wins, then remove. Opponent spins with one hand until a player wins." Since the bottom pieces turn freely upon contact with another spinner, they don't really do much toward knocking down your opponent. And since the spikes on top stick straight up instead of out, your opponent will have to hit them with his (or her) weapon to be thrown (and even then, it doesn't always work). Besides being golden, this card also requires 300 Lightning SP. Surrender, "Remove your headgear or armor to avoid losing," is the next card (I'm going by the seven digit numbers on the bottom of the card), and a Control card. Requiring 200 Ice SP, this one can come in handy as a useful last resort when playing. Plus, the front snake on this card looks especially good. Avalanche, the third card, is actually Ice, although you would usually expect an avalanche to be Earth. However, the cards graphics make the reason clear - it's a snow avalanche, not a rock one. According to the instructions (on the card), you are to "Lay down card. Opponent loses if spinner touches it, then remove." With only 100 Ice, this is the lowest metallic Trap card that does not require a golden weapon (denoted by the golden color found on, for example, Fast as Lightning above). And, by virtue of its low SP, it is one of the best cards included with Jay ZX. Double Stars is a Force card, but also a crown card (meaning that you need a crown on to be able to play it) with 300 Lightning SP. The instructions on the card, "Throw this card and your character card during spin," leave it unclear, at least to my mind, whether or not, like a normal crown card, this remains in play until your crown is removed, or just during the one spin you played it in. And unless you're willing to ruin your card, you can't achieve enough force with this to knock anyone off their spinner. Below is a comparison of my card (which I rarely throw), and a friend's, who enjoys trying to whap you with it: And that's all the paper! Let's get on with the minifigure! Minifigure - Jay ZX: Like all the ZX figures, Jay ZX has a new style ninja hat and a shoulder bracket for added impressiveness! His blue color contrasts perfectly with the metallic color of his shoulder gear and hat decoration; I only wish his right arm was the same silver color! In general, his torso is nicely detailed, although the bottom left could use something to take away the empty blue look there. On the back of his torso he has a buckle, and his symbol printed in the middle where it will show through the round circle in his bracket. His pants also have a belt nicely printed on. Weapons and Boosting Pieces: Just like the rest of the Ninjago spinners and Booster Packs, Jay ZX includes three weapons - one golden, one sword-based, and one pole/stick-based. His golden weapon is unique to this set (the Weapons Dictionary calls it a Golden Double-Bladed Sword), and uses a golden chainsaw (only occurring in one other set, or so says BrickSet) to attach the other two pieces together. The sword based weapon is, in fact, a simple Silver Katana, while his pole-based weapon is a bit more complex - a small dagger on a black light-saber hilt on the end of a pole - which is way too long of a weapon to spin with! None of them are particularly good for spinning, but Jay ZX does look impressive with his Golden Double-Bladed Sword! To help power up any spinner, Jay ZX includes two spikes and three blades which can be attached to the bottom of the newer 2012 spinners. And to raise the spinner a bit higher so the blades work better, the pack also includes a 2x2 round brick with grooves on the sides. (Note: spinner not included in booster pack! And for stability, I have removed the 2x2 round trans-blue piece at the bottom of most spinners!) Conclusion: Playability: 5/10 I hate to give it such a low score here, but the lack of a spinner or a minifigure opponent makes playing with it difficult. The weapons aren't the best either, as far as spinning goes. Design: N/A Minifigure: 9/10 Just about the only problem I find is Jay ZX's lack of a chrome arm. Otherwise, the detailing is excellent. Price: 9.5/10 A much better value than a normal spinner, although in general it's not high on parts, the weapons, minifigure and cards are fairly specific pieces that are therefore worth more. Overall: 7.8/10 It's main problem is the lack of playability, but overall I would say it's a good addition to a spinner. Jay ZX is a great character, and, apart from this set, is somewhat rare. Plus, the cards (if you like the game), are useful and Surrender just might save your hide one day!
  19. Hi, from what I've heard from numerous sources, Ninjago's story is good and deep. How would any of you suggest getting into the story? Like, should I start with the books or the animations? Which would be better?

    Lego Bigfig Wishlist.

Hey everybody. I was looking around some forums lately and noticed some custom bigfigs. This got me thinking, why isn't there a topic for a Bigfig Wishlist? So without further ado, here is my list! Super heroes: Marvel: Thing, Rhino, Red hulk, Juggernaut, Colosus, Sandman, Ends of the earth doc ock, Venom, Lizard... I could go on for hours! Dc: Clayface. The Simpsons: Blob Homer. Ninjag0: Overlord Garmadon . Mods: I posted this here because most bigfigs will be liscenced, so I thought this is the best place. Please move it if you feel otherwise.
  21. Hello Eurobricks, I was just in my local Target yesterday and noticed a peculiarity with the X-1 Ninja Charger box... There was printing on the box of punch tabs, but no place to punch as the cardboard wasn't perforated. Instead, there was the standard LEGO box tape over the pictures of punch tabs. Has anyone experienced this before in the ninja box or any other box?
  22. After starting the latest chima purchases topic i felt like we needed one for all action theme themes , so here it is ! Feel free to state what you bought , why you bouhgt it and what you think about it.

The Frosticons saw this thing and thought "We can look like that". Even the nixel got involved. (I used all three of them, on this MOC.) Front Back I'll cut you! 24. Hey guys, I was on Reddit the other day, and saw a post by a LEGO designer stating that there was an Exo-Force Easter egg in the MechDragon... I checked and sure enough, there was a sticker of the split Sentai Mountain on the side of the dragon! Did anyone notice this? I think that that is so cool, and hope to see more Easter eggs in the future! legozebra
