i really want this piece, cause i'm wondering its feel. -
Here is my review on 71747 The Keeper's Village from Ninjago: THE GOOD: Great looking set. Interesting build techniques through out. Great design in the dragon head. Excellent printings on minifigures. Some nice new elements like the piece on top of the statue and the printed sheilds. THE NOT SO GOOD: The price. My own preference but I would want more tribe person instead of 3 ninjas. Overall, I like this set a lot. It reminds me of island people from the old pirate theme. This set does look really good although it's not really a village. I enjoyed the building experience a lot especially the dragon head and the throne chair. The printed shield does look like Godzilla and I wish they included more new elements like that. Although the minifigures are great I do wish they swap on ninja for one more village people as this theme does not have many sets, it's a mission to build an army of this tribe given B&P recently does not sell much Ninjago pieces. The price is on the higher end and I do wish it is $20NZD cheaper but in the end I'm very satisfied with the outcome and still recommend this set to everyone.

Once upon a time, around nine years ago, I was a burgeoning fan of Ninjago, an avid reader of Brickipedia, and hadn't yet made my way to Mocpages. I was in the store, probably Books a Million, where I was flipping through a Ninjago Brickmaster book when I laid my eyes on my first mech. Not exactly the most inspired build, but was an inspiration to me. I mean come on! It was a Giant Robot, what could be cooler than that! I didn't end up buying the book since I was a child at the time, but my interest in Giant Robots was Peaked. Fast forwarding a few years, after a couple of dodgy attempts to make one with parts from the Toy Story Pizza Planet Truck, I was looking through Youtube to find some cool lego reviews and mocs, I stumbled across this video by Artifex Creation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtAMGj74Br0 Now, this blew my tiny Ninja obsessed mind, I had no idea that Lego mechs could be that big. Keep in mind that most of my time on Mocpages at the time was concerned with bionicle, and at the only mechs released for the theme where the Samurai X mech, the Fangpyre mech, the first Fire mech, and the previously mentioned Skulkin Mech. Unfortunately I lacked any real parts to build something substantial, so I sat on my hands for a bit. But all that Changed once I got my filthy mits on Superman V. Power Armor Lex I wanna say that was late 2013/early 2014 since I was really looking forward to the upcoming rebooted season. I mean Come on, they were fighting Robots! So I tried my hand at building some sort of Nindroid Lighting Mech with the parts I had. The only problem? I didn't have any Nindroids, so I ended up making some amalgamation of Final Battle Jay and the Series 8 Evil Robot. He had stolen Jay's powers and color scheme. Cut me some slack guys. Fortunetly, I was about to get some of those sweet Ninja robots with my first Ninjago mech: The Destructoid This Thing had it all: Choping blades! A Disk Shooter! A Sawblade! Tank tracks! And a sword! This thing was awesome, and it was another in a long line of Ninjago Purchases. Fast Forwarding to 2017, I fully caught up with the show, and excited for the movie, and moreso the sets. We had gotten some pretty goods mech in the past, but it seemed that with the film came a renaissance of Ninjago set designs. Bigger, Bolder builds that sought to do more than what came before it, and that was where my problem began: The Garma Mecha Man. Now, there's nothing inherently wrong with the set, it serves its purpose as an affordable imitation of the onscreen build at an smaller scale. It's well built and fun to mess around with, if a bit chunky. No, the problem came when you compared it to some of the other sets in the wave. (Picture taken from the Brickset Review) The Garma Mecha Man isn't exactly the most imposing build. In the film, it seemed like it could go toe to toe with all six ninja vehicles at once. The Set looks like it could hardly go up against one, so I set out to build one that could. Not my best work, I'll admit. This early design was plagued with poor shaping, weak knees, and a waste that was only held on by four studs, though it could fit a figure inside. It was a rough start, and disassembled soon after, but it was a stepping stone for bigger and better things: Garmagedon Constructed with the parts of The Nindroid Mechdragon, The Destructoid, The Garma Mecha Man, the Iron Doom, the Oni Titan, The Water Strider, and whatever odds and ends I had laying around, and with the Four Golden Weapons plugged into its chest, the mech was almost on the verge of perfection. The only Problems? My attempt at torso articulation left no room for a cockpit, made the build very unstable, and provided very little movement. A rework was in order before I could hope on showing it off, and to help celebrate the ten year anniversary of Ninjago, I got off my butt and decided to get to work. And that brings us to today. Countless reworks, and two extra arms, I'd like to show you guys the finished **Shogun Titan** I know I've talked a lot in this post, but I hope that my work speaks for itself. Inspired by the legendary so-called "Kaneda Bike" i designed one for the red Ninja, Kai. This fire red bike has a sweet flame job that makes it look even hotter and faster. So badguys of Ninjago, watch out if you see a red blur coming up in the rear view mirror....because it´s getting hot! I’ve just been watching a bunch of YouTube video reviews of forthcoming Ninjago Season 14/spring 2021 sets. The main antagonist is called Chief Mammatus. All of the videos I have seen so far mispronounce his name. Mammatus is an existing word in English. It refers to a kind of pendulous, bulbous cloud formation. It’s pronounced mah-MAY-tus, not MAM-atus or mah-MAH-tus. It’s possible that the Ninjago cartoon will mispronounce it as well which would be unfortunate. [WIP] Skull Rock Lighthouse - a tropical pirates haven from sets 71722 + 71717 + 70431

The light house of Skull Rock was once kept lit by a order of monks, who believed the nearby skull-shaped cliff face (carved by the former native islander inhabitants) was a sign from "The Man Upstairs" that is was an evil place. The monks were later killed off in 1708 by scurvy and other diseases, leaving only one alive who went insane from the ordeal, claiming he saw ghosts of several past wrecked ships' captains. In 1710, the pirate Captain Henry Smithfield of the infamous "Yago" found skull island and skillfully managed to sail through the island coral reefs unaided except by the light and a keen sailor's intuition. He was inspired to take over operation of the light, but eventually had to maroon the mad monk on a nearby deserted island as he was too crazy even for pirates! The light is still lit only occasionally, mostly when trying to wreck merchant and pirate hunter ships onto the reefs to be plundered thereon. This island is known to the area's native islanders as Hazar-dues, or to it's pirate inhabitants and imperial captives as Skull Rock. NOTE: The name of the island is said like the word, "Hazardous" (which is quite apt for it's windswept rocky surface!) I'm taking @Faladrin lead with his similar model and one-upping it to include the entire skull rock, and a dock for pirate ships of all types! NOTES: The set conversion is mostly (98%) finished as of 1/28/21. The as-yet unbuilt lighthouse portion is on order from Bricklink as of yesterday. This new piece will replace the crane section of the dock. I've also realized that all the set 71722's features are tied together by gearing / rods, such as: - The rotating scythes on the walkway to the officer's quarters behind the eyes. - the moving "wave" walkway to the base of the waterfall. (which opens up!) - the lowering / raising of the wooden cage holding the (deceased) bluecoat Admiral. ..and all this is activated by cranking the large U-shaped handle on the left! The front clips of sets 71722 (Skull Sorcerer's Dungeons) connect to a wooden dock model (seen below). The two Ninjago set's (the other is 71717, Journey to the Skull Dungeons) will be modified to have blue parts instead of orange and trans-orange for the bases and "lava drip" parts. I plan on using these sets, plus this dock, in conjunction with my other pirate ships, seen below. Inside the lower portion of Skull rock is the pirates treasure room, with gold aplenty and a few jewels. The upper floor is for the Captain Smithfield when not at sea. Here is the lighthouse proper. The wooden crane is for offloading cargo / loot off the smaller boats after leaving the big pirate ship. The spinning lens idea is from 70431 (Lighthouse of Darkness) from the Hidden Side theme. The front clips of sets 71722 (Skull Sorcerer's Dungeons) connect to a wooden dock model. (seen farther down the page) The two Ninjago set's (the other is 71717, Journey to the Skull Dungeons) are currently being modified to have blue parts instead of orange and trans-orange for the bases and "lava drip" parts. I plan on using these sets, plus all the custom dock / lighthouse parts for my island. This building model comes apart into three modular sections: - lighthouse, lower level (this is sleeping / storage area for the crew when not at sea.) - light house, upper level (storage area for whale oil for keeping the light lit) - actual light - (rotates around, though it's usually lit for use in misguiding ships onto the nearby rocky coral reef surrounding Skull Island.) The docks model also comes apart into three modular sections: - The working wooden crane (left side, which will be implemented into the lighthouse) - The corner with cannon (behind the others) - The dock extension (right side) Here is that unlucky monk today, with his one-shot pistol on Twenty-paces Island. (I'm getting a palm tree for this island.... still have to order the parts!) The whole setup of Skull Rock so far. The Minecraft-based Seacow, as captained by Peg-Leg Stevie. Not sure what to call this type of ship, though it kinda reminds me of the Santa Maria from Columbus' first trip. The brig Yago, as seen here and captained by Henry Smithfield. The Golden Bounty pirate junk, as seen in this topic and led by Captain Soto. (picture of Joly Roger goes here) Captain Hook's Jolly Roger isn't done yet, so no picture or topic... waiting on a certain flying boy for that. I thought this would be better suited in the Pirate sub-forum, because while although it's Ninjago based, it is supposed to fit in with Hook's ship and my other pirate vessels at my skull island. I also apologize for the lack of uniform background... my photography cloth is sadly not available at the moment. The following story is partially based of the Ninjago TV show and my own imagination, while the model has two cannons, nameplate, mini-figures and pirate flag added to the stock set 71705. The Golden Bounty was an identical sister pirate Junk of the Destiny's Bounty, and was the original flagship of Captain Soto for many years before it was accidentally beached on a reef near Tiger Widow Island and then purposely destroyed (blown up) to avoid the ship being refloated and used by the Imperial Navy of Ninjago. Soto then had an identical ship created by the Djinn Nadakhan, as one of his three wishes. He then double crossed the devious wish-granter, stuffing him into the Teapot of Tyran (the only thing capable of holding a djinn captive) during a pitched sea battle during a storm. He then threw the teapot into the sea inside a locked trunk. (how he did the actual catching of Nadakhan and stuffing him into the teapot remains unknown, as Soto never recorded how he did so, and professed not to remember once revived in the modern day) Once that was done, Nadakhan's crews hid their master's ship (The Misfortune's Keep) in a secret cove, and then turned themselves into authorities to be banished to other realms... all the while panning secret revenge on Soto and Ninjago itself for the imprisonment of Nadakhan. Sato and most of his crew died from exposure shortly thereafter, as they somehow moved his newer ship (the Destiny's Bounty) into a desert far from any water via magical means. Only one crewman remained alive, carrying with him the secrets of Soto's magic in a big thick book... his name was Clouse. some of the crew of Sato's ship (L to R): - Captain Soto, master of the pirate junk "Golden Bounty" - Snake Jaguar, known for his cold, calculating demeanor - Mutt the Mute or "green-eyes", It was later learned he was a non-mute spy for the Imperial Ninjago Navy. - Cyren, known as a very poor singer. Eventually joined Nadakhan's crew as a spy for Sato. - Rodney Dangerbuff, yes, that is really his name. Why do you ask? The ship's name is emblazoned on the stern of the vessel. The ship's indoor steering compartment, and a below decks hold for treasure. The top of the steering compartment come off in two ways: the roof is removable, as is the actual little building that houses the steering equipment. This model sub-section then opens up for easy access to the inside. You can also see Sato's pirate flag in this picture. Well, what do you think of my MOD / the storyline? I know, a big beefy car sells well as a toy, but sometimes they just look ridiculous imho. That´s why i tried to design a smaller version of the Ninja Tuner Car. And because i had a creative block, i started using Jerry Builds Bricks Cyberpunk 2077 car as a base and modded it a little bit. I wanted to incorporate most of the stickered parts of the original set or at least wanted enough surface to put on the original stickers. I also tried to find a way to use a similar color palette and of course that crazy pink windshield. So, what do you guys think of it? Anything you would change? -
[REVIEW] 71735 Tournament of Elements

Another minifig-fest from Ninjago! It's... 71735 Tournament of Elements | 283 pieces | 7 minifigures 2021 | 30 USD, 30 EUR, 28 GBP, 50 AUD Thanks to LEGO for sending me this set in my HYPE. box. All opinions are my own. INTRODUCTION Ninjago is continuing to re-imagine older sets under the Ninjago Legacy line, this time re-imagining 70756 Dojo Showdown from 2015. Unlike some of the other Legacy sets, which simply re-imagine older sets and minifigures, this particular set will be of note to Ninjago fans and collectors for finally covering three Elemental Masters from the show previously nonexistent in physical form. For that reason alone, this set is sure to be popular. I'm not a Ninjago die-hard, though, having never watched the show or followed the story. I pick up the odd Ninjago set here and there usually for what I deem to be unmissable parts and/or figures, like last year's incomparable Gamer's Market and Lloyd's Journey for the cool fox. This set had already caught my eye for those same reasons: cool exclusive figures and good parts in an affordably-priced set (not so much in Aus but there are sales eventually). BOX As I mentioned in my unboxing video, this box intrigued me because the gold parts as rendered look very much like the fairly new Warm Gold Drum Lacquered / Metallic Gold colour (which I called Gold Ink), used prominently in 80012 Monkie King Warrior Mech. New Elementary did a great article looking at the colour - scroll down to the picture of bananas to see how much snazzier it is than the Ninjago staple pearl gold. Could it be that they really used metallic gold in this set? SPOILER ALERT: no, it couldn't be. But it's really quite misleading just how shiny they've made all of the gold on the box, setting a false expectation. I as a long-time adult consumer wasn't particularly surprised, but if a regular person was excited by the picture and opened it up to find decidedly not-shiny pearl gold, they'd feel a bit cheated. PARTS & BUILD The build is split into three bags and involves just four stickers. Bag 1 contains the Ninjago Weapons pack in bright green, a new colour for it, which calls back to the Jade Blade in the original version of this set but is much more versatile. All built, it's just the lower part of the middle section of the dojo and the stand for Exclusive Golden 10th Anniversary Lloyd, and they oddly have you put a rounded plate on the bottom of the spinner which you're just going to take off later Bag 2 also feels quite light, with parts for just one more section and two minifigures. New-ish pieces get used like the 2x6 plate with rounded corners and brand new 2x6 tile, so you can see how things have changed since the original version in 2015. Each section gets firmly locked to the previous one as you go. The ball and socket feels like an overkill way to connect that side build with the spinning blades when a classic hinge plate would've done the trick and taken up less visual space. This bag also contains the parts for the actual spinning mechanism for the spinner despite the instructions having had you attach the rounded plate to it in the first bag. Bag 3 contains a higher volume of parts, as it completes another lower section and all of the details on the upper level. There's all of the non-metallic gold I'm covering the completed set below, so for now here are the leftover pieces - quite a nice selection for minifigure accessory lovers. MINIFIGURES First up let's look at Jay and Kai. Interestingly Brickset and Bricklink are classifying these outfits as new versions of thier "Rebooted" outfits, but to me the designs look a bit closer to their Tournament Robes from the original Tournament of Elements wave, which, uh... makes sense. Kai's certainly looks nothing like the Rebooted design. Also interesting is that Jay technically has a new torso though he appeared in this outfit in 2020, because in that version they used one incorrect Ninjago-alphabet character on his robe, spelling "manter" instead of "master". Oopsie! I find the back designs jarring the way the belts are done, so obviously cut off. There's no reason they couldn't have drawn a full belt above the bottom of the torso, as this looks pretty ugly. I forgot to take pictures of Eyezor, as I got distracted by the Elemental Masters. He looks pretty similar to the old version, though I personally prefer the purple legs on that version and the face also had a bit more distinct life to it. The torso has more depth and refined detail on this version, so is the one improvement. Here also are closeups of the stickered book. Someone who knows Ninjago can explain the significance! Now the real draw-card, three previously un-produced Elemental Masters! If you're thinking of only now collecting all of the masters from the show, be prepared to shell out. Two came in the original version of this set, two were Ultra Agents bad guys, two came in a minifigure blister pack, two came in an expensive set, one was only found in a very limited edition Toys R Us Bricktober pack, and then there are all the Ninja, Skylor and Morro. At least one has not yet been made: Chamille. Here we have Bolobo, Gravis and Jacob Pevsner. Standing on their own, these three all are very fun minifigs with distinct, bold and wacky designs. As compared to their show designs (linked to in their names), Gravis is the most similar, just missing leg printing and using the newer turban piece. Jacob is fairly similar though his torso design has been altered, as have his facial hair and glasses. Bolobo, though, has been redesigned to be shirtless, and has a totally different leg print. As these characters have never appeared in minifigure form before, I'm puzzled as to why LEGO didn't simply release them as they look in the show, which is clearly how Ninjago fans would've wanted them and they're all equally good designs to what we got. Gravis and Jacob have equally fun alternate faces, while Bolobo uses Jack's head from Hidden Side - hardly a good match for his in-show bushy eyebrows. All three have excellently detailed back torso prints, and I especially like everything going on on Bolobo's. Jacob's sunnies (sunglasses) seemed a good pairing with this face print, so I had to snap a pic! Finally, here's the exclusive golden version of Lloyd (hardly special that he's golden though, given that he became the golden ninja). Some of the prints have great shine to them, and overall it has a lot of depth and fine details. I also love the new hair piece with integrated bandana, and look forward to the others coming in the next wave. The stand is quite simple but elegantly constructed. Unlike the recent 20th Anniversary Star Wars line, which also had the "gimmick" of a special extra figure on a stand, the figures in this 10th Anniversary Ninjago series are actually useful in a modern context and their stands look much less clunky. The Star Wars ones were cute for nostalgia, but I personally like these Ninjago ones much more. Here they all are with their respective weapons. I love Bolobo's staff, which uses the Monkie Kid double-length hilt newly recoloured into tan. The white guitar originally from Steamboat Willie also reappears - very nice to get for those of us not interested in a super-expensive grayscale boat. THE SPINNER The only true action feature included is this "spinner", which combines the cyclone-like piece from the 2019 Spinjitzu Slam sets with an action handle also from 2019 introduced to simply spin minifigures themselves. Unlike many previous action features of this sort, this one is entirely built up from component parts, with only a couple of specific parts for the rolling mechanism. It works extremely well and is very satisfying to play around with. You simply roll it along at a slight angle and it spins like crazy. It's the most effective method yet of mimicking the ninjas performing Spinjitzu! THE COMPLETED MODEL The dojo has a lovely, pleasing design to it. The colours work well together and the bright green stands out as a great accent pop. Despite not being shiny, the pearl gold still looks nice for the railings. All in all, it's a great little display piece for a dojo. In case you were wondering, the back looks like nothing. That ball sticking out is just for ease of removing that particular weapon stand. In fact, all of the weapon racks and crates are attached with just a couple of studs, so they are easy to remove and free up more space to play with or display figures. I wanted to give special appreciation for the little tree build, which uses just a few parts extremely well. Of course, it kind of looks like that's the root of the tree, and it's not in the ground, so is the tree actually dead? The only other hidden detail is that the instructions have you put the second small dagger inside this white decorative thing. Bit odd since the other one is literally right there out in the open, but cool. I haven't seen instructions have you put something inside the bottom of a part like that before. FINAL THOUGHTS & RATINGS Besides for disliking the back prints on Kai and Jay and feeling (expectedly) mislead by the rendering of the pearl gold elements on the box, I haven't had anything negative to say about this set. It's got a pleasing design, an excellent number and variety of minifigures with five being exclusive, and three being exclusive characters, some good parts and a fine price for everything that I've just listed. The only thing this set lacks is more built-in playability for kids (or adults that play - that's cool too). The only true play features are the very excellent spinner, and the spinning scythes off to the side. So, while the design and aesthetic feel more mature than the original version of this set, that one far outstrips this one in the fun department as it contained all sorts of traps and a couple of functions as a springboard for imaginative play. I would've liked to see at least one of the platforms here be a trap door or a minifigure launching function, something to get the minifigures going. As an adult, I'm totally happy with this set, but for a set called Tournament of Elements all about minifigures battling each other, it could've had a little more action. Parts: 10/10 - some big and some small, some brand new and some old, great accessory parts and the fun spinner. Design: 9/10 - only docking one small point for the lack of features in the dojo Minifigures: 9/10 - Kai and Jay's back prints are jarring and Eyezor is a minor downgrade from his old version, but overall these are wonderful, unique figures and plenty of them. Price: 10/10 - For the amount of stuff included, this price is right on the money. The dojo itself is the size of something that could conceivably come in a $20 set, but it's well detailed and the excellent, exclusive figures make up the difference. Overall: 9.5/10 - 71735 Tournament of Elements is a terrific set, plain and simple. If you're at all into the style of build and funky, colourful figures, it's certainly one to pick up. Just don't think you're getting shiny gold parts! -
Here is my review on the latest Ninjago 71375 Tournament of Elements: THE GOOD: Excellent selection of minifigures. The printing of the Ninjago 10 yrs tile is great. Some nice touch in the battle platform build (e.g. I personally like the vase and the guard rails) The spinjitsu tool works exceptionally well. THE NOT SO GOOD: I'm totally ok with this but considering the main target audience probably I will say lack of action features in the battle platform build. Overall, this is a great minifigure pack and great for getting parts for oriental buildings. The minifigures are excellent. My favourites are Jacob and Gravis's heads. The so called Limited Edition Lloyd has excellent print quality too. There are also some nice touch the the vase in terms of the build but definitely lacking some action features compared to similar sets. I also prefer the gold colour pieces (ones utilised a lot in Monkie Kid themes) than the pearl gold colour. Wonder when Lego will consider swapping it out in future set. anyway, this set is still great and would recommend to people into unique minifigures and getting oriental style parts!

So with it being Halloween today. What better time to show off the mods I made to Skull Sorcerer's Dragon. https://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=581337 Full set of pics in the gallery. I'll be only showing a few here to keep the topic less cluttered. Changes I made 1. Adding shoulders and a waist joint. 2. Removing the lime green but adding more trans bright green to compensate 3. Made the wings more poseable and able to fold in 4. Made the head a bit more show accurate and removed the flags. 5. Gave the tail a gear so it could swing as a function. Also made a stand for Skull Sorcerer giving him the spear he had in the show. Also used the 3 Awakened warriors I had and made it look like a bunch were emerging from the mountain stand. I used Spinjitzu Burst Lloyd's energy parts to add a magical effect to Skull Sorcerer. I made the Skull of Hazza D'ur appear floating with the two Blades of Deliverance floating next to it I even added a comedic effect of one of the Awakened Warriors emerging upside down. Since I used Spinjitzu Burst Lloyd's spinner parts on Skull Sorcerer's stand. I turned the rest of the set into a launcher for the dice spinner for the game.

This year has seen me move away from Technic C-modelling into using system bricks. In between the various lockdowns I picked up quite few Friends sets to C-model due to their very low price per piece on the second-hand market which gave some good practice. I saw the Velocity Racers set on my only trip to the Lego Store this year and the part balance made me think this set had a lot of potential for alternate builds, so I picked up a brand new copy (on sale). Having quite a few Technic pieces in the box, helped with my decision. Over the few months since then, I've managed to produce three different C-models using only the parts in set 71709. I'd share with you this collection of Velocity Boats, Fighter Plane and Trike. The race for the Key-Tana can now take place by land, air or Sea. Hello, I bought 70671 and I have two questions about the three tail fox: Does someone know what the printed 4-digit number on the bottom of the left-front paw means? It has the format [digit][digit][letter][digit] The mold seems to be two parts glued/molted together, but at the end of the tail seems to be a little gap. Is that a tear that is going to become bigger and brake the mold, or is that little gap by design? Does someone else have this fox that can check this for me? I already tried to look in Bricklink Studio, but I could not find this piece. It is also really small, so I cannot get a picture of it, but I can see it when holding in front of something bright.

[REVIEW] Ninjago | 70749 : Enter the serpent

Hi EB, here is a somehow unconventional review as I decided to review it 2 weeks after the build (so no pictures of sealed bag of pieces, etc ...) I know everyone is into the upcoming ghost theme, but here I am with a review of a set of the previous wave ^^ Name : 70749 : Enter the Serpent Theme: Ninjago Year: 2015 Pieces: 529 Price: 49,99€ Since the beginning of the Ninjago theme, I always had a particular affection for sets with dragons or temple/villain's lair (not quite fan of the recurring "the ultimate motorcycle of #insert ninja name here#"). Lucky me, this 1st 2015 wave had both, so I'll start with the enemy's temple. Note - I did not watched the show so unfortunately I cannot say if this is show-accurate or what are the detailed stories of the different characters. The box Pretty big box with a lovely color code. I was not really fan of previous wave with all that robotic stuff, so I'm pleased to see a come back to a more "natural" environment. As always the back of the box shows the different playable elements, I'll describe them later on. Stickers / Pieces One small stickers sheet - note that some were not applied as I wish to use the blank pieces somewhere else later. A nice round sticker with Anacondrai logo, and 2 maps that indicates the different traps of the temple.. Speaking of the pieces, here are the interesting ones in my opinion : - rares/exclusives ones : 2 purple wedge and 2 huge exclusive in purple "brick round corner", 4 dark tan slopes 3x3 also exclusives and one dark tan wedge with this "scale" texture (that we already had in other colors in previous dragons for instance). Also a nice dish with Anacondrai symbol. - Anacondrai equipment parts : amazing work on these pieces : bone sword, lovely shoulder pads, snake skull helmets ... I say very good job ! Minifigures We often speak of the quality of licensed figs compared to non-licensed ones but here we have some beauties ^^ Let's start with our heroes - Jay & Lloyd in their new jungle outfit (the heads are the same as always) : They are of course armed to face the danger :) Now move on to the opposite camp - the Anacondrai cultists. We have from left to right : - Kapau'rai ; snake transformation of Kapau that appears in other sets. - Master Chen : the leader of the Anacondrai cultists with a detailed torso and gorgeous back print with the Anacondrai logo. - Zugu : the prison guard I guess (he has the key on his pants) with a superb face print (and these shoulder pads with the spine ... lovely !) A side view of Kapau'rai to see his head's profile : Everyone is also armed to defend their lair : The temple We start the build with the little prison and the bone-bridge - then the temple itself for an overall good result with a satisfying size for a set of this price range. The purple parts give a nice touch the the overall build, with some interesting areas (the stairs for instance). The prison is a classic, you always enjoy putting the good guys in prison ^^ But there is one negative point for me : the snake head. In previous years we had some beautiful snake heads in Ninjago sets but this one ... I don't know but I do not like it. Maybe the size of the fangs, maybe the way the eyes are build Anyway, there is an opened area on the head to store lime ball parts (poison I guess) so that when you open the mouth they fall and poison our poor ninjas. The 2 trans-red elements at the beginning of the stairs are in fact missile that are vey well hidden. Lego love to put missiles everywhere and it often ruin the overall design but here it is really well integrated, good job. You can fire the missiles by pressing on one of the snake skull in the top of the stairs, again good integration of the mechanism as it is not visible. The back view show that you can access a small weapon rack and a treasure chest, and also that there is a classic trap mechanism to make someone fall into the spikes/snakes below. Remaining parts Some weapons, it's always useful and especially when it's one of these lovely bone blade. Opinion Well, for me it is a really nice set with many play features and nice minifigures with some exclusives ones. A real crush for these equipment parts that are beautiful and very detailed The only bad point I see is the snake head as mentioned below. Another good point with Ninjago is that you can always find the sets with a good discount if you wait a little I also love the constant change of universe/environment in Ninjago across the years and I am happy with this "jungle" theme. [MOC] Ninjago style flying food boat

The Time Twister Twins have gathered all the greatest villains in Lego history such as Captain Redbeard, Baron Von Barron, Basil the Bat Lord, Ogel, and Lord Garmadon to destroy the heroes once and for all! From their evil fortress guarded by a skeleton army, they have created a giant time portal that is twisting up the Lego timeline! Minifigs from across time and space are pulled through the portal and structures from various eras are colliding. Imperial soldiers are fighting cowboys, pirates are fighting bandits, and samurai are fighting mummies! Can the Time Cruisers Tim and Dr. Cyber unite all the heroes against these villains and save the timeline? On the left you can see the Pirates and Western time zones. Fort Legoredo has fused with an imperial fort, much to the dismay of the Brits and Yanks who are fighting each other. Meanwhile, the Islanders and Native Americans, two factions that were being called "savages" by some of the other minifigs, are meeting by King Kahuka's throne for peaceful negotiations. Out on the water, you can see a small pirate ship engage in a shootout with the bandits of the Coyote Gang while some Aquanaut and Atlantis divers are fighting off skeletons. Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!! On the grounds surrounding the Time Twister fortress, minifigs from different eras are fighting the skeleton army while the Time Cruisers are flying in on their latest time machine, the Time-Rift Raft. It has a play feature that causes the propellers to spin when it is rolled across the ground. On the right of the battlefield, a Ninja temple had fused with an Ancient Egyptian tomb. Classic Kai, Pepper Roni, and Johnny Thunder and his friends are fighting skeletons while the Rock Raiders and Power Miners are fighting over a power crystal. Baron Von Barron swoops in from above the temples in his remastered Bi-Wing to attack his rival Johnny. Sorry for all the dust. This MOC was sitting around for a while before I got around to taking these pics and I didn't notice the dust until after the photo shoot. Up on top of Time Twister Tower, Ogel oversees the battle while the Time Twister Twin operate the time portal machine. The portal design is inspired by that of Piotr Machalski and Milan Sekiz. I included some interior in the buildings as you can see in this back view, although it's not much since I ran out of time (ironically). I hope you liked it. This was my entry for the Lego Legacy Battle contest on Lego Ideas from a few months ago. Unfortunately it didn't even make it into the voting phase, but honestly it's not my best work. I had to rush to get it built within a month to meet the submission deadline and it ended up being more quantity than quality. Still, I had fun building it as it is essentially a tribute to all the action themes that I loved growing up. What's your favorite Lego action theme? Let me know in the comments!

Hello dear Lego fans, After having signed up here in the Eurobricks forums in 2011, I posted a new thread in the "Hello my name is..." section about my plans to create my own Lego City layout. Now almost 9 years later, I can finally show you some of the progress that has been made just at the beginning of the new decade :) Good things come to those who wait. Renovations on the attic are finally complete (apart from the lighting) and we now have around 110 m² to unleash our imagination. The current plans of the Lego city layout add up to around 60m² in size and they are, as you can see in the video, far from finished. However, I thought you might be interested in some of the things that my girlfriend and me were designing in the last couple of days. The name of the city is still unknown, but the overall design has started to take shape with a downtown area, which includes all the modulars, and shops, a residential area, an amusement park, a winter village, a train yard and a harbor/beach area. I would also like to add an airport to the city and some of the classic monorail tracks have been placed already. We are also getting into MOC a little bit and we will add our own creations to the layout as soon as they look nice! The commentary of the video is in German, but I am trying to add English subtitles into the system. Please let us know what you think here in the forums or in the comments section of YouTube. I will keep you posted on future updates if you like :) Note: All of the parts used in this layout are original Lego parts, except for some of the baseplates. I thought that lime green in the Hogwarts castle area might look cool, but I will probably exchange it for regular grass green baseplates in the near future. Ninjago is a world full of action and adventure which keeps the ninjas constantly on their toes! However, all this excitement can get a little tiring for the ninjas' wise old Master Wu. That is why, up in his secluded Monastery of Spinjitsu, behind his dojo he has a hidden zen garden where he comes to sip on his beloved tea, meditate, and find his "inner piece" - or to just get away from the ninjas when they are arguing over who's turn it is to do the dishes. Built on a base similar to that of a miniature zen garden sandbox, this scene features many items typically found in a Japanese garden: a torii gate, raked sand with carefully placed rocks, a red bridge over a pond, a cherry blossom tree, a stone lantern, a jade dragon statue, and various plants and flowers in calming colors. Here is a closer look at the raked sand, the pond, and what I like to call the Wienersaber Bridge. A few side views of the scene: I hope you like my entry for the Eurobricks Flower Show contest. Inspired by the small boats in the early scenes of the Lego Ninjago Movie, i made my own little boat, complete with a sail, an oar to push the boat through shallow water and buckets for fish.
