Here is a little diorama I did to try and get out of my lego slump. Been really interested in the 80's and 80's tech, from Commodores to tape drives to big old floppy diskettes. Anyways, enjoy my diorama of an 80's nerd in it's natural habitat soldering away.

My first real MOC. Started off trying to build a decent looking computer chair and it eventually evolved into an entire room: The display shelf is my favourite part of this MOC and I was inspired to use the Star Wars helmets as display pieces from another MOC I saw a few weeks back. I wish I had a link to the builder to give him credit but alas, I couldn't recall exactly where I saw it. The dresser drawers on the right of the computer desk actually open and can be used to store items inside. I'd have to build it with actual bricks to see how well it works though but I'm happy with how it turned out. If you'd like to hear more about the build, I made a video about it here: Thanks for taking the time to check out my MOC. If you like it or have any suggestions/criticisms please let me know! -ARTOBRIX

Hello everyone! Some of you may know me as an active member on the Brickset forum; others may know me from Lego Ideas. If not, allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. Ever since I received my first Lego set at age 3, I have been hooked. I began building MOCs in 2009 mainly for Lego competitions, and in 2010 I started collecting sets and parts more seriously. When I heard about Lego Cuusoo in 2014, I decided to use my skills and collection to begin designing potential Lego products; my dream is to see some of them on store shelves someday, and maybe eventually work as a designer for the Lego Group. In the meantime, I am a college student in Texas, U.S. working on my engineering degree. While college life leaves little room for intense MOC building and a budget leaves little money for intense Lego collecting, I still love participating in AFOL forums so that I can learn as much as I can about this classic toy we all love so much. If you want, you can check out many of my MOCs on my blog. Some of them are up for voting to become Lego sets here on Lego Ideas! Thanks, Lego_Nerd98
