So it looks like Ed Sheeran is continuing his love affair with Lego in his newest music video for the song "Photograph". Around the 3:42 mark you'll notice a flurry of Lego references in the video. I'm still trying to identify the set that he is holding, maybe one of you will recognize it.

Okay, I want to include some music in a video presenting an upcoming MOC, and I am wondering some things. First, this is a video with the music I would like to use: Would I be able to use this music, or is using copyrighted stuff a bad Idea? I would think that using music like that would be fair use, but maybe not. In any event, since the artist is independent, I may be able to contact him directly, and ask permission. Do you guys think that that is needed step? Finally, what is a good place to find music that is free to use in videos?

How come we can't download the song "Breakout" from Hero Factory's website? I mean, think about it. We could download Bye Bye Babylon, Gravity Hurts, Closer To The Truth, and Face Me from BIONICLE's website. So why can't we download CryoShell's Hero Factory song? Also, what happened to Hero Factory FM?

This project, presented on Lego Ideas, comprises a classical symphonic orchestra on an out-door stage. The orchestra comprises the director, 9 violin playing minifigs (3 violin 1, 3 violin 2, 3 alto), 3 cello playing minifig, 2 contrabasso playing minifig, 1 piano player, 1 drummer, 1 cymbalist, 1 Timbali player, 2 Horn players, 2 Saxophon players, 2 clarinet player, 2 tuba player. Hence, a total of 26 minifigs and as many instruments. The stage comprises a dark red curtain closing the rear part, and lightenings all around on the top. Hey guys, a friend on mine showed me this music video, and I was quite surprised. This may be the first time a music video has a topic of its own? The featured ship seems to be the 2010 imperial flagship, but built using a different, black colour scheme. I thought it was worth sharing, because you dont always see something like this. Greetings fellow brick-enthusiasts! I've been lurking around this forum for ages, really just sucking up all the fantastic creations, images and letting myself inspire! I've actually never posted my own topic, so it's about time. This tiny project was first and foremost about creating a lego drum kit. The challenge i faced was obviously the size and shape.. I am a drummer myself, so making a balanced drum kit with focus on the detail that drummers around would recognize, was important! But, the tough times occur when you only have so much variety in the bricks as far as round shapes go. I went with the same round 2x2 brick type for both bass-drum, snare, tom and floor-tom. This little piece ended up becoming a self-portrait of myself! Oh, and i hope this is the right place to post this! Hope you enjoy!

Hey, I wanted to share with everyone a fun little thing I've been doing, been trying to make minifig scale instruments out of pieces/bricks. I've done a few so far but wanted to start things off with this one... Keytar. I've also done a synth a drum set and have made some attempts at a banjo and double bass. If any other users have made their own brick built instruments, please share, it would be cool to have a reference for builders wanting more minifig instruments.

This topic might be a little off topic. But I was wondering what you guys listen to(if anything) while you're MOCing. Do you have particular genres or playlists that you find more suitable to MOCing? Personally, I really like my instrumental play list for "in general" MOCing music. Its comprised of a lot of video game and movie Soundtracks, and things like Two Steps From hell, just general "epic" theme music. I find instrumental stuff is less distracting than music with lyrics to it. I also listen to a lot of instrumental post rock/metal bands so when I want a Guitar/bass/drum vibe I play my post rock/metal playlist, even though there are things in there with vocals its got a lot that isn't. I'll also try and find fitting music for a specific MOC to even more inspire me or get me in the right mindset. Like for the Cerberus Chopper. I tried finding a lot of hard rock, and had Godsmack on heavy rotation, something I felt a modern day biker might listen to. You guys ever listen to music based on what might fit your MOC or what it might listen to?

I have been to (recently) Green Day who were supported by All Time Low and Kaiser Chiefs. I saw the Twang a few weeks before and James before that. I am already pacing for Glastonbury in a week and will see Two Door Cinema Club and The Stones there. Hopefully Jake Bugg as well and probably Mumford and Sons, Dinosaur J. What concerts have you been to?

Hey all! Just wanted to drop by and say hello. My name is Josh, I'm a local math teacher and life long Lego lover. Started building with my brothers, they designed and I did the manual labor Nowadays, I mostly collect minifigures and specialty pieces to use in my brick flicks. Be watching...my first one will be out within the next two months and I'm very pleased with it thus far! I'm also a musician and play several gigs around the Cincinnati area, mostly folk music, with my band called My Brother's Keeper. This will also tie into my brick flicks Glad to be a part of this group, I'm already having a blast!

Hi all, I know there's quite a number of official molded musical instruments out there, but I need to know if I'm missing any. These are the ones I have so far: Bagpipes, released with the CMF Series 7 Bagpiper Electric Guitars, released with the CMF 4 Rocker and CMF 7 Pop Girl Stephanie's Electric Guitar, from the Friends Line. Fabuland Drums, released back in the 80's (and hard to find in the States) Fabuland Tuba, released back in the 80's (also hard to find in the States) Fabuland Accordion, released back in the 80's (not as hard to find) Bugle (also a trumpet), released back in the late 90's in the Western line. Maracas, released with the CMF Series 2 Mariachi Man Wooden Flute, released in the Harry Potter "The Forbidden Corridor" set (2001) ~~~ Sets these have appeared in: The Tuba obviously in Pierre Pig and his Tuba The Accordion in Robby Rabbit's Accordion Drummer Gabriel Monkey has the drums Pierre and Gabriel make an appearance here. The bugle appears in a whopping 10 sets: I was genuinely surprised that the bugle appears in so many sets (especially the soccer set). I'm not too surprised it appeared in the Time Twisters line, since every random part was stooped in there. I think the designers of that line were on acid. The Flute has appeared in the 2001 Harry Potter "The Forbidden Corridor" set. Thanks to Tragic Banjo for pointing that out. In my opinion, any old pipe that size would do for a band, especially since the flute from that set is hard to come by. (Only 22 lots on Bricklink for it) The Electric Guitar is from Stephanie's Rehearsal Stage. Thanks to Artanis I for finding this. Similar to the "V" shaped electrical guitars. So, what else am I missing? In short I'm trying to put together a marching band, and it's rather hard to do with only four instruments (right now the ones that make sense that I have are the bugle, tuba, accordion, and bagpipes) and the accordion and bagpipes don't even make that much sense.

Mod please move, if this ins't the right place Well it's almost that time again for Bonnaroo! For those unfamiliar, Bonnaroo is a huge music festival on a 700 acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee. It is a four day event (June 13-16) with a large line up! This will be my second time, went back in 2010, and had a great time. It has a bit of everything for everyone! I would like to know if anyone on here will be attending or if you have been in the past and maybe share your experience?

Nearly 4 hours of bordom converted into a non playable ukulele. me being a ukuleleist I wanted to do this and in teh future when I have the parts for it I want to attempt a playable one. Also decided I'd throw it into the epic contest, not quite life size but im not building it any larger so its good enough. cheers David

Last year I took a Spanish class and we had to do a fashion show. I wasn't going to be in one, so I built this stage. (The teacher was actually very impressed.)
