Duration of sets from being marked 'Retiring Soon' to actually

Does anyone know how long usually a set from the beginning of being marked as "retiring soon" to completely retired? Because I want to purchase several sets from those which being marked but I also consider for the future promotional bonus if it is going for several months. Thanks beforehand :) -
Hello everyone! I don't have many Fabuland parts, and the ones I do have are all from other themes. When I was looking through them, I saw that I do have two Fabuland airplane engines, so I thought about I could build with those, and this is the result: a seaplane! With this vehicle, all the Fabulanders can transport larger amounts of persons or cargo, by water and by air! I like to think that the pilot is named Steven Seagull. Hello again everybody! Here's my next Fabuland contest entry, a sailboat. There have been many rowboats and steamboats in Fabuland, but none that sail. With this, the Fabulanders can go out to sea to go fishing or to just enjoy themselves.
