    Justice League Batmobile

    Hi everyone, I have been busy with several builds and my last build is the Batmobile. It is based on the version of the Justice League movie and I am planning to build a small landscape based on the scene in Russia. It took a few hours to get the shape right and this is the result.   2. Hello Everyone, this is my first post here, so apologies if I made any mistakes! I was going to post this model on Lego Ideas, but (not surprisingly) Game of Thrones is not suitable content for them, so I decided to post it here and see what you guys think. This is a (not so small) scale model of the castle of Winterfell from George R. R. Martin's epic fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, and more specifically, a model of the castle as it appeared in HBO's award winning tv series Game of Thrones. In the series, Winterfell acts, (most of the time) as the home of house Stark, one of the main noble families in the fictional land of Westeros. Winterfell is seen often throughout the series, and stood out to me among all the other places in Westeros, not just because of its prominent role, but because of its unique design and architecture. Many of the castles we see in movies and on tv look amazing, with their numerous gold turrets, towers, large windows, and vast balconies, but all these features make the castles relatively unrealistic in an actual medieval setting. It is because Winterfell lacks these common features on fictional castles that it stood out to me so much. In the real medieval era, most castles were not very opulent, and had pretty plain, utilitarian exteriors. If you think about this, it makes quite a bit of sense, as putting all your wealth on the outside of your castle meant it could be damaged or stolen if you are attacked. I know, I know, most fantasy tv shows and movies aren't going for historical accuracy, including Game of Thrones, (I love seeing dragons flying around as much as the next guy) but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate when the creators do make things look as though they actually might in the given time period. I based this model off of the scale desktop model of Winterfell you can buy online (just search google for: Winterfell sculpture, and you'll see a few pages with it), and it includes all the main features of the castle, including the Winterfell Godswood, with the Weirwood tree and broken tower. I am quite pleased with the way the Weirwood tree turned out, its a new design that I haven't used before, maybe some of you have, but I hadn't, and so was quite pleased when I came up with it. Despite my best efforts, this is a large model, measuring approximately 2 feet by 1 foot, and comprised of 3046 pieces. If any of you want to build the model, a link at the bottom of this description will bring you to a folder with the full size images of the model, a bricklink parts list, a .io model file for the Stud.io lego design program (my personal favorite), and a .ldr model file for use with Ldraw. I do not have a .lxf file for use in Lego Digital Designer, as this model uses some newer bricks not in that program, so I apologize for not being able to offer that to those of you who use LDD. If you do build the model, please send me some pictures of it! As with my Hogwarts model, I don't have enough pieces to actually build it, so it would be awesome to see a real model if any of you are more fortunate with your LEGO collections than I am :). Also, feel free to share this with anyone you want and post images of it, as long as you remember to give credit to me as the model's creator, and provide a link back to this post.   3. My new Lego Gundam MOC, base on a Gundam in season 2 of the series "Mobile suit Gundam 00", piloted by main character. This mobile suit later will attach with the mobile armor 0-Raiser to become 00 Raiser which is very powerful. Name: 00 Gundam Code: GN-0000 Upgrade form: 00 Raiser Pilot: Setsuna F Seiei Power source: 2 GN-Drive (Twin-drive). Series: Mobile suit Gundam 00 Weapon: 2 GN-sword, 2 beam saber. Compare to my previous MOC from "Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans" which i wanted to simple and easy to build the inner frame.     MOC - Lichtenstein Castle

    My entry for the Fictional Architecture category of Marchitecture. I chose to recreate Lichtenstein Castle, which is a real building, but is also used as the castle in Dornröschen – a 2009 German film adaptation of Sleeping Beauty. The model certainly had its challenges, but I’m very pleased with the end result. Credit for the bridge design goes to John, who helped me out with that portion.   8. Hello everyone. If some of you remember i have presented the first version of the AC cobra 427 to share the concept and gather feedback. It is now modified and on LEGO Ideas. The car scale is 1:14, measuring 33 studs long and 13 studs wide (15 on wheelbase). The features are as follows: - has working steering via an adjustable steering wheel. - mini working v8 through a differential. - independant front and rear suspension - openable hood via a lever on the dashboard - openable doors and trunk - very sturdy and solid build This can be the first Idea set that has lots of Technic features.   9. I am relatively new here so I shall start by showing off my latest model that's actually finished. I really like this car so I had to make it and I posted it on LEGO IDEAS so if you like the model please support it Original colors and removable stiff roof can be replaced by imitation of folded convertible roof I photoshopped it here by changing the colour to preferable medium azure. engine and it can be easily removed trunk with a suitcase with clothes and a spare tire and everything opened

    [MOC] Chartres Cathedral

    This was built for a college assignment, where we had to make some sort of visual art. Of course I chose to do something with LEGO, and used it as an opportunity to recreate Chartres Cathedral. The Abbey of St. Piat was not included in my rendition. It took 16 hours to complete, and weighs 4.6 pounds. This is my first cathedral, and it was quite a fun project.     (MOC) Rivendell

    My second micro Lord of the Rings creation, after Edoras. Andrew JN suggested that I build Rivendell, and I was skeptical about being able to pull it off in micro-scale at first. The main build process took a little over 2 weeks, and then I needed to wait a bit longer for parts to arrive to finish the model. It was primarily based off of these two images: picture 1, picture 2.The model is view-able from all sides, and while one of my most complex micro creations, it was an extremely rewarding build. Rivendell, also known as Imladris, was an Elven town and the house of Elrond located in Middle-earth. It is described as “The Last Homely House East of the Sea”, referencing towards Valinor, which is west of the Great Sea in Aman. High resolution images on flickr.   12. 4 big crushing tires! When I saw the 42054, the first thing I thought was "FOREST SKIDDER!". When I got the set, I built a crop sprayer ;) But now, a month later, I actually did build a forest skidder. And here it is! The MOC features 6 functions, including 3 power functions: Crane stage 1, crane stage 2, and lifting of the front ripper blade. The manual functions are a pendular axle, HoG steering, and operating the grabber. The model suffered from awkward proportions throughout the build due to the complexity of the gearbox and placement of the Battery Box. The hood suffered from the brunt of it; it awkwardly hides the battery box and is too high. Video here: Pictures: So That's all- next MOC of mine should be interesting ;) Thank you!   13. My new lego truck, a Kenworth T600 with daycab.
  14. This is my first "published" c-model. It took me the last 2-3 weeks in total to build it. It was one of the reasons, why i paused on my speed-racer :) When my daughter (5) baught this model (42065 Tracked Racer), she wanted a lego rc car wich she could play with. But since the steering with the 2 tracks is pretty complicated and too hard for her, i decided to build a model with a regular steering from the set. I was thinking about building a halftracked vehicle at first, but then i decided to build a snowmobile. It was a really hard way, because of really limited amount of parts in this set (369) and the fact, that there is not a single gear included in the set . All in all i think i totally rebuildet the model 3-4 times until the current result. I still dont like it 100%, but its ok to play with for my daughter, and i need time for my own project again :) What funtions does it have?: - PF drive + steering - pendular front suspension - working handlebar (can be used as HOG) - virtual "differential" aka linear clutch at the rear axle for better steering. Motor drives left side front of the tracks, right side is connected with the clutch at the rear axle. - seat acts as PF-on-switch. A driver sitting down on it will move the battery-box to "on"-position :) -> you can see it in the video Here you can see the linear clutch in the middle of the "rear axle" footrests size comparision leftover parts Technically the chassis idea is based on something like this.
  15. Well, it is great to see a forum dedicated to scale modeling, so its not more then fitting to put my latest work here: A Peterbilt 379 with Polar tanktrailer. A large (1:13) scale Lego tanker combo had been on my list for a long time. I made a small 1:22 Kenworth cabover with milktrailer in the past, and had plans for a 1:16, but in the end started work on a full 1:13 scaled combo. My 2012 dumper combo was getting old, and I wanted something new to bring to shows as well. Now I wouldn’t be myself not to take a new build a bit further again, and this one should be extremely detailed, coloful, and fitted with lights. Once more I hooked up with my good friend Rob from Brickstuff.com, and this time we didn’t make compromises. We even added a custom controller/effect board, powered by a USB Varta 10400 mAh powerpack that is located in the sleeper! There are lights everywhere including over 60 driving / contour lights, but as a special feature the underside of the chassis of both tractor and trailer are equiped with over 180 RGB LEDs to simulate the glow effect seen on showtrucks. This really gives amazing effects. A custom remote control is split into two channels that control the contour lights and the underside seperatly. Effects include color changing and strobes. It took me 5 months to build this truck and some 9000 bricks went into this, including electro-plated chromed bricks by Bricks4all.nl.   16. Today, I would like to share my first creation on Eurobricks with you all. A model of a giant towbarless Pushback Tug. To be exact, the Goldhofer AST-1X 1360. The real vehicle can lift up the front landing gear of the biggest aircrafts. I tryed to build all the functions, how they are build in the real Goldhofer, especially with the rear steering. The model has 8 RC functions:- Front wheel drive (XL Motor)- Front wheel steering (M Motor) - Rear wheel steering (2x M Motor) -- I had to decide, whether I would like to have crab steering or steering with different wheel angles to allow smooth driving. In the end I've chosen the second option, because crab steering is still kind of possible.- Raise cabin (M Motor)- Pneumatic pump (L Motor)- Raise landing gear (L Motor)- Close lid (M Motor)- Fix landing gear (M Motor) Unfortunately, the model has some flaws. The cabin is lifted in a weird way, because of the battery box under it and I struggled with the lifting section. I had to use really strong clutch gears and worn out valves, and even with that, the valves didn't switch always. Also I had a problem with one of the pneumatic cylinders, the reason why I used two pumps. As a result I had to glue two 2L axle between the pumps to the red 1x2 thin liftarms because of the vibration. I was sick of searching for another solution .   17. Year by Year I take many lesson, when developing LICreator. But I go to this software in the end. It is written in Java. So will be platform in-depended, what is in Java technology nature. But I testing and build LDraw Instruction Visualizer only on Microsoft Windows Seven with 64 bit architecture. What this tool can do: %APPDATA% for Windows platform or User Home Directory for others as Storage Can hide | un-hide selected parts Display part description Rotate on selected axis Exports steps as single images and many more ... A use JLDraw as starting point of my journey. It is Simple LDraw models viewer, written and abandoned by Mario Pascucci in 2014 year. I try get new life to this software, and make them better... that software, I currently stop working on... for many reason. At the current level of development, this program can calmly serve as instruction player. Everyone, stay tuned for updates. EDIT 1: This software strongly depend on LDraw file format standard. If model do not have STEP command. You can see, only one step on the list.   18. Years ago I had a wish to build a truck. And.. I had plenty of white bricks. So I googled some white trucks and it just happened that I found a Scania T-cab wrecker truck from Slades Garage. Somehow I even got in contact with Matt, the driver (and owner?) of the truck. I contacted him for more pics and features of the truck. But.. he didn't replay in time. The first version of my model had pneumatic features on it. Many of functions where wrong. Then.. months later fellow Mocker - Dennis from Netherlands - discovered my moc and offered me few more pics of the truck from one of the truck-shows. That gave me opportunity to observe the details more closely and build a better version, a second version. And this time I went for remote control features. But - as the electric motors were stronger than previous pneumatics (and they also took more space) the result was more fragile. So there was a second rebuild, a third version with entirely new chassis, built out of lego technick. So.. after something like three years and countless iterations, I consider the moc finished. It has eight functions - all four by two channels are used: - Driving (XL motor - channel 1) - Steering (M motor - channel 1) - Left outtrigger (M motor - channel 2) - Right outtrigger (M motor - channel 2) - Raise / lower main boom (L motor - channel 3) - Underlift (M motor - channel 3) - Extract / detract main boom (L motor - channel 4) - Spool (M motor - channel 4)
  19. This weekend i found many copy's on my door mat from a interview last month i heaved with the international tug magazine LEKKO. Because this was not my first interview for a magazine, news site ore TV and heaved learned a lot from earlier experience that it's write more in my way, but the outcome is not writing exactly what i have told the interviewer. Still this is free promotion and i am proud that they ask me to stand with a 3 paged article.   20. Alright.. Here's something classic and muscle - the mighty Shelby Mustang from year 1965 in it's original white + blue stripes color schema. So.. it turns out - it is only 3,5 years ago since I started to use some more color in my models - other than white I mean. I really like how the outdoor pictures turned out. For instance - in the next one it does really look like in the same scale as the building, thou the building is of course a real one. This model used some quite interesting techniques and details I think. Take a look at those rims. They are actually steering wheels. But stuffed inside those old type tires - they fit and stay there very well. So does the red break calipers. These do stay in place as the wheels go. Apart from all the historical models - this one I really regret taking apart. A sad moment to the humanity I'd say :) But... at that moment I didn't have enough bricks to keep it in one piece and build another car. So... hope you enjoy this old American beauty.   21. September 2013 the first WIP picture of my crane was uploaded, now 3,5 years later I dare to say the model is finished. In all these years I have faced a lot of technical challenges with this model, thought most of them are solved a few remain annoying (steering and drive). In the end I consider the model done and decided to learn from the not fully working features to improve on in later builds. Other tough challenges that were beaten in this model are: Fully capable outriggers that lift the complete model of its axles, Lift of the boom using a brick build linear actuator, fitting tens of meters of wire in the model to power all the led's. A full list of the features can be found at the end of the post. Even though I consider myself quite a purist a few elements of this model are not from TLC. For control the model uses 5 sbrick's together with a custom profile, enabling all the rc features I needed with a good signal . Since the PF led's are way to expensive and dull I decided to solder my own led's with the right color and a good brightness. The stickers are supplied by JaapTechnic. More pictures can be found on my flickr Full road configuration with 14.4 tons of ballast weight. The spreader plates are stored on the back. All the light are controlled by the Sbricks, this includes the indicators, beacons and reversing lights. Yes this actually lifts. With the jib mounted the piston is able to erect the then 1.7 meter boom to full height. Fully erected the model stands 2.6 meters tall. Even though the model faces a lot of technical challenges all of the details are added including full interior in both cabins. Full feature list. Motorized functions: Drive, Steering, Outriggers front and back, Compressor for the outriggers, Slewing, Boom lift, Boom extension, Winch, Cabin lift. Light functions: Normal driving lights, indicators, hazard lights, beacons, reversing lights, working lights on the superstructure. Other functions: All cabin doors open, Openable storage doors on the back, Full suspension, Folding jib with multiple angles, Folding safety railing.
  22. This model is a modified CREATOR set called Lighthouse Point. (set number 31051) I removed the light-up brick and as such changed the top of the tower, along with tweaking the inside details and adding a custom Lighthouse keeper out of 1990's mini-figure parts. The model has modular parts out the wazoo, with a whopping 10 building sections. (their was one one more module from the set, but I removed it before taking pictures.) The set also comes with a killer whale / orca. You may have also noticed I had a bunch of trans - yellow bricks from a Classic Space build left over. They made a good replacement for the light brick. The inside features a table, lamp, and mounted instrument from the early days of sailing.... though this device measures where you are via the sun, so what is it doing on a stationary lighthouse? (The yellow chairs I added myself, along with the red soda can.) The set contains 10 modules as follows, (in no particular order): Tower top with light, building roof, building proper, small dock, exposed small rock, exposed large rock, tower foundation, two red tower modules, and a white tower module. This cute critter comes with the main model of set 31051. His flippers move, his tail flops around, and his jaw opens to swallow fish.... or unwitting swimming mini-figures! Thier is no LDD file for this build, but it shouldn't be too hard to recreate what I did, right? Comments, Questions, and Complaints welcome!
  23. By reading the title you may thought - Yeah i know this model, you designed it 4 years ago... Yes... but nope. This is an entire new version relying on the same real truck but this time in 2 different colours. The previous version designed in December 2012 used Technic beams and liftarms. Since brick build models can be way more detailled - I chose that technique to build the new model with. Also i discovered the truck could use some more power so there are now 2 PF XL motors in it. Compared to all my other instruction this one goes again one step further in quality. With all stickers implemented in the instruction you can't make a mistake anymore regarding their position.   24. This is my entry into the Architecture category of Marchitecture. It was a very fun challenge to work in the Architecture scale, and see how much of the real building’s detail I could capture. Due to the small scale, it was easy to make revisions, a good thing as it took quite a few experiments to get each area of the Chateau to look how I wanted. More pics on my website.   25. I use Stud.io Open Beta v1.0 (21) with LEGO Digital Designer 4.3.10. This digital model is under Creative Commons license. Did Stuid.io use out-of-date ldraw.xml or I should wait to next release ?!! FIRST IMAGE Import into Stud.io as LDD model. SECOND IMAGE Import into Stud.io model after export from LDD using updated ldraw.xml as LDraw model.
