  1. If you like my Claw, please support on LEGO Ideas to make it a real set. In this MOC, I used a system of beams working as levers and push rods to carry the movement from the handle to the claw. I also used springs to make the whole mechanism reset when you let go and a couple of rubber parts to give the claw a good grip. The result is this amazingly useless, yet immensely cool thing that can hold a weight of more than 2 kg! To demonstrate, I made a video of it lifting the huge LEGO Technic bulldozer. (the video can be found on the page linked above) For a further description and some more photos please visit the link and also check out the update when there. Thank you
  2. Hi there, I've made a pretty big number of LDD MOCs since I was on hiatus! Retro Bank SA logo from the early 1990s until mid 2014. 1994 Adelaide Fringe Festival Poster. An Industrial Type Drop Saw. 15th Anniversary of the collapse of the Spin Dragon carnival ride at the 2000 Royal Adelaide Show. Aircraft Landing Approach Lights, Minifig Scale. Angle Grinder. 'Model Team' scale Converter Dolly A S'More! Miniland Baby on Changing Table! A snazzy pair of Rollerblades! Retro Insect Sprayer. An Overhead Projector, using only 12 pieces! So what do you think about them?
  3. Samsonite

    Hoth Imperial Patrol

I threw this together today after failing to make a good trench scene The AT-ST is a slightly modded one from 8038 that I added some more to the back end of the body and managed to fit in two pilots.
  4. Using creator set 3012: Blue Racer, I created four of my own alternate models. It was a lot of fun! x24Hrs is made to look like a number of the road hugging racing car styles. Sport* is made to look like a sporty two-seater to take out for a drive on a nice day or a track day. . Boost was just for a little fun. Make something that looks like it can go fast. Photos are a bit poor, but as they were essentially table-scrap builds I just snapped pics with my phone before taking them apart and trying again. I must have built about 12 different things and these three were my favourite successful builds. A "fail" was something I did not like the final look of, couldn't get to "work" with what I was aiming for in building, or something just too fragile to stay together. So there we go.

  6. Hello everyone !!! So after some on and off work designing this thing both IRL & LDD i am very proud and happy to show you my Batmobile as it appears on Batman V Superman. I tried to make this model as accurate as i could and the recent images, game DLC´s & toys helped a lot,not only that but the model is very stable and i know this is a small detail that´s pretty much standard with other Batmobiles but... i managed to make the wheels roll with all the armor on it !!! :D So let´s start with the front, definetly a challenging part to do as at first i had no idea how to pull off the shapes & angles, not only that but belive it or not i had trouble doing the turret Things got difficult on the sides, as the actual car has a lot of angles and shapes that are almost impossible to make a 100 % acurate representation on this scale.... however i think i did a fairly decent job doing those The back was fairly simple to do... it took me a while to find a correct size of tires but once i did everything went smoothly.... BTW Credit to JANGBRICKS for the idea of using that motor piece for the Turbine/engine/exaust pipe... So that´s pretty much it guys i hope you like this build as much as i do and if you do want to build this yourself here´s a link were you can buy the instructions : http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/222084491318? Happy building !! -Prime

  10. After years of delays and due in large part to the renewed groundswell of public support the Godwin Space Center is finally fully operational and prepping for its first launch of our orbiter - Adventure! Thanks to the adventurous spirit of the people of Godwins Hollow the Godwin Space Center is finally up and running. Despite numerous setbacks along the way, the finished product is a marvel of modern space-faring technology. Situated on the north side of town adjacent to the soon to be completed Godwins Hollow Regional Airport the GSC boasts a state of the art mission control center, maintenance facilities, laboratories, a hangar to house the orbiter when it's not out and about, and more than enough additional features to keep even the most jaded space traveler interested! As we close in on the GSC you can very clearly see that the orbiter Adventure is on the pad. The superstructure has been raised and the good folks of the Godwins Hollow Space Administration are busy prepping for launch! The newly minted 'tallest structure in Godwins Hollow' is the orbiter's hangar. Not simply a box to pack the bird away when she's not out taking a quick spin around the block the hangar is packed to the brim with diagnostic and monitoring equipment to make sure the city's investment is always fully mission-capable. Moving into the GSP proper we start on the ground floor with the maintenance bay. Fitted with barn doors practically anything short of the orbiter itself can fit in here. The bay is considered by most to be one of the most technologically advanced facilities of its type. Fitted with robotic assist features, diagnostic tools, and customizable display systems this maintenance bay might make Tony Stark look twice. Upstairs a small but very well stocked warehouse is available to the technicians at any time. Moving up to the second floor we enter the Mechanical Engineering room. Mission Control might be the brains of the GSC but this is where the real work happens. The technicians here make sure that all of the orbiter's systems are fully prepped and ready to go. Fluids are monitored, pressures gauged, and all of the other 'dirty' work necessary to get this bird into orbit are taken care of here. While the technicians are busy moving about the orbiter everything that is happening on that superstructure is being monitored and controlled from this room. Again, fitted with amazing display technologies, sensitive monitoring and calibration tools, and one of the coolest sliding/spinning seat systems in town this is a great place to work. The 2nd and 3rd floors from above Every entity needs them and even the GSC has a small space for all for the admin offices. Also on the third floor is a small laboratory. It looks like two of Godwins Hollow's best and brightest are busy discussing the theoretical impacts of their latest project while an engineer has jumped right in and is making things happen! This is far and away everyone's favorite place to be at the GSC - the astronaut prep room. For those brave souls about to strap themselves into a massive controlled explosion in order to slip the surly bonds of earth, this is the last place they'll see before entering the orbiter. A swarm of technicians assists the astronauts in getting into the somewhat bulky gear and an industrial HVAC unit helps keep everyone cool and the entire room dust free. And before anyone asks - no those are not disembodied hands - they're gloves. After suiting up the astronauts can access the orbiter directly from the prep room. Finally, all the way to the top you'll find Mission Control. Every possible statistic for every possible variable is monitored, collected, and analyzed here. Hang out here long enough and you start to imagine you can predict the future! All systems are go for launch! As usual - more pics can be found on our Flickr page.
  11. Godwins Hollow (our LEGO City) was originally started strictly as background for the ongoing struggle between the Agents and Inferno's henchmen. Over the many years that we've been working on our city we always pushed the actual Agent's HQ and Inferno HQ aside in favor of further fleshing out the city itself. However, after years of fiddling with it in LDD and a handful of proofs of concepts we have finally started building the Inferno HQ. We've started with the lowest level and hope to eventually have to fully developed floors underneath the mountain and a partially transformable castle/attack post on top of the mountain. This is still in the VERY early stages but there are places to park the mechs and the hover jeeps. The interior of this hangar bay will be a mix of interior rock facing and more standard 'hangar bay' walls. Anyways, just wanted to throw this out here. More pics can be found on our Flickr page or over at MOC Pages if you're interested. Comments are always welcome.
  12. Jake Raines is out in the desert seeking a rumoured lost Sphinx. He has a tough car to track through the near non-existent roads and shifting sands. So, I bought a mostly complete Rise of the Sphinx on eBay and haven't got around to sorting the parts yet. I whipped together this car from what was in the bag of parts. I like the challenge of limits to parts. I think this came out all right. It's also my first build in ages, most of my collection is awaiting the completion of my LEGO space... On closer inspection, it looks like I need to give these parts a good dust!

  14. LEGO Friends Wheel Bucket Excavator Great Ball Contraption - the Friendly WBE way to move GBC balls It has been a while since I've made a GBC module. This is something fun for the LUG's upcoming event season. I've been sitting on an idea to use those "scoop" pieces in a GBC for a couple of years. The upcoming BWE finally kickstarted my bum to action. It took some trial and error to get them to work. I may have to do more tweaking once it starts going to events. As GBCers know, what works great at home, does not outside the home. Wheel Bucket Excavator GBC by dr_spock_888, on Flickr I still have to make a suitable ball receiving/loading bin. I am not sure the events GBC coordinators will let me use the lid from a take out order of french fries.
  15. Hi all, I'd like to introduce you an alternative build for the 42025 Cargo Plane: the Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Cargo Plane. It's using only parts from the amazing 42025 Cargo Plane model. You can find the MOC details and building instructions at http://rebrickable.com/mocs/Shutterfreak/42025-model-c-vtol Above image is a LDD rendering. I eventually recreated the model with LDCad and produced instructions with LPub3D. The core design is the official 42025 A model (cargo plane), but I reused the linear actuators that lift the cockpit and the cargo bay and placed them in the engines to allow them to pivot between vertical position (take-off and landing) and horizontal position (cruising). The engines can be tilted while the propellers are running, which makes the VTOL operate as in reality. To demonstrate what this VTOL MOC can do, please check the following small YouTube video fragment: I know I should upload some more photos, I hope o find some time in the near future to do so. I hope you enjoy this MOC.

    [MOC] Steampunk AT-ST

  19. This is my take on the 41174 Starlight Inn set that I picked up a few weeks ago. I'm normally not a big fan of sets and usually only sees them as parts pack but I liked the idea of this one. However, I didn't really like the use of some colours and wanted to use them more realistically, e.g. only green plants and leaves and keep the purple and pink for the interior. The structure is made to reflect the set with a kitchen and sitting room at the ground floor, and a bedroom and a balcony with a telescope on the upper floor, as well as the rounded window. No thought has been given to how this would go with whatever stories goes on at the Elves tv show, comics, books or whatever, I don't care about them at all. This is just my try to make a better inn that could go with the Elves minidolls. Thanks for watching! /Etzel

    [MOC] Fabuland Office

Hello! I do not have many bricks, because i am a minifig collector, but i love Fabuland- so i wanted to build something for Frank Fox (my Fabu SigFig/ mini- me). This is what i came up with. Planning to do more Fabuland. [I didn't make a MOC in the past few years. Some years ago i remember creating some kind of pirate ship, but other than that i only built stuff more than ten- fifteen years ago. When i was a child i mainly built spaceships.] The original version: IMG_20160401_110852 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr IMG_20160401_111102 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr The updated version: IMG_20160806_103110 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr IMG_20160806_103324 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr IMG_20160806_103228 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr
  21. Hi there, it's Ryan Smith from Adelaide in Australia. I'm back from hiatus to bring you something new-n-tasty! A box of delicious looking (non-edible) chocolates to tempt either a hungry chocolate fanatic or ideally, this makes a great gift for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Get Well, Christmas, etc. There are 36 kinds in total that consist of milk chocolate, white, dark and a combination of milk/white. Some appear to have cream fillings in them but don't let them fool you! This one is generally for display purposes or if you desire, you can switch out the brick-built chocs for Real Edible Ones! 23. Seats: 1x Batman (Adam West.) My aim was to pack as much detail as possible whilst still having clarity and simplicity into the model without having additional weight to the model e.g. height and length. Two aspects of the model wouldn't have made the outcome as accurate those are the '6141554 - Plate 2X2 27 Deg' and '6141556 - Right Plate 2X2 27Deg' for the front and rear of the model. Additionally the featured stickers are from '75909 - McLaren P1' which add the iconic front details. Ironically they are perfectly shaped for this Batmobile. 24. Hello All, Longtime Lurker with very few posts, so if I have done something wrong here, please let me know. The following is a look at the town my daughter and I have put together. This is what we like to refer to as Dagaville "main street". Like the title says, this is most definitely a work in progress. You will notice a lot of blank spaces, those will be filled with future builds and official Lego Modulars. Some of the intersection baseplates will also be swapped out for straight ones when next I have a chance to get to a Lego store (the nearest is an 8 hour drive away). Next up is a "street view" at the end of main street: The first buildings here are the Highlander Pub and Al's barber. I hope to get another DO in the near future and expand the pub and turn the second floor into a microbrewery and ditch the detective agency all together and move the barber across the street and expand that as well. The main street's major intersection comes complete with traffic lights (although after taking the pictures I noticed my daughter has the vehicles driving UK style, but didn't switch the lights: The highlight of the intersection is the music shop (modified grand emporium), which as you can see (like you'll see with most of the buildings) is not quite finished with some pieces missing (future bricklink orders): The first floor is the record shop: Second floor is the instrument shop: And the top floor is the recording studio. The empty square room in the top right of the picture will have a drum set in it: Diagonally across the intersection is the fire hall. As with most buildings here you will notice it has no roof, this is for play purposes (plus some of the ones that did have a roof kept getting wrecked by my 7 year old twin boys, so I finally just said screw it, no roofs!!): The main entrance: A closeup of the lions heads: and a top-down view of the fire hall: Across the street from the fire hall you will find a pet store with a movie theatre beside it and a cafe/diner beside that: theatre closeup: Theatre top-down view (3 theatres all in different states of being finished): Top-down view of cafe/diner: to the right of the pet shop is a side street that has a vet clinic and some residential (the yellow house will be replaced by another brownstone but mirrored), and I have yet to purchase another road baseplate to finish it off: Vet clinic closeup: top-down view: Beside the fire hall is a train station converted into a bus station with a green space in behind it. the playground is just a prototype with the slide and the bridge being the only permanent pieces: Beside the the bus station is the Police station, also not quite finished and no roof (in some parts) for play purposes. To the right of the station (where you can see a jumble of vehicles) will be another garage for the patrol cars. The current garage is where the prisoner transport vehicles park and unload the crooks: top-down view: Back view of jail cells, break room, and chief's office: Across from the police station is the gas station which I reverse engineered and modified from a picture I saw on flickr which some here might recognize: Top-down view. The yellow bricks are a pop cooler. Beside that is a slurpee machine. In the corner by the door is an ice cream cooler (and a fallen flag from the roof, oops!!) and outside just visible in the window are oil containers. The tall green and white thing beside the building is the propane tank: There is another side street on this end of main street: Which features a juice bar/bakery and will also have a small recycling center across the street in behind the gas station: top-down view: Well, that is it for now. There is room for 6 32x32 size buildings and and 4 16x32 size buildings on the table i built to house our town, so lots more room for new modulars!! Thanks for viewing!!
  25. With the recent release of The Force Awakens, the seventh installment to the Star Wars Franchise (If you haven't heard of TFA, I wouldn't be surprised, almost no advertising and no merchandise was made for the movie), fans have been in love with the newest droid, BB-8. The new look to the droid caused many Lego builders to desire their own, and HenrikLego did just that. Totaling at nearly 11K pieces, Henrik built an enormous droid for a local theater of his, and even included the local community of AFOLs with an LDD file for it. His original topic for this MOC is here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=116949&st=0 After seeing it, I immediately wanted one of my own. After an incredibly long and difficult debate with my wallet, I decided to pursue my own BB-8. Using the LDD File, I generated a parts list for bricklink totaling 10,909 pieces. I looked over the parts needed for this and took note of some of the nuisances. White Brick 2 x 4 (1184 needed) - The part itself is not all that rare, but getting it in new condition (Getting White Bricks in used condition is a nightmare) in that quantity was a challenge. It ultimately ended up costing me 25 cents per brick. White Plate 1 x 2 (1385 needed) - Also very difficult to get in large quantities, but I managed to find it for about 10 cents per piece. White Plate 1 x 3 (527 needed) - It always seems like 1 x 3 plates are a pain to obtain, this was the case here. About 15 cents per piece. Orange Plate 1 x 8 (25 needed) - I did not imagine this piece being very rare, but I ended up placing about 5 orders for it, despite it being cheap. About 10 cents per piece. White Plate 4 x 10 (24 needed) - The large quantity drove the price way up. 48 cents per piece. White Plate 2 x 2 Corner (374 needed) - Once again a hard to find piece that I never would picture as rare. About 12.5 cents per piece. That rounds out the worst bricks and pieces for me, the rest are not very difficult to find, but prepare yourself for about 11 cents per piece, I optimized smaller amount of orders over saving a few cents per piece because shipping charges really drive up the final price. To date I am glad to say that I have ordered all 10,909 pieces, just waiting for them to arrive. However, I have not started designing a desert base for BB-8, I need to work on this ASAP. Once the pieces come in, I of course will have to count them (I am not looking forward to this at all, but more and more it seems that bricklink sellers don't have the ability to count) and check off that everything is in my possession, including parts for a base. I hope to keep you guys updated as much as possible throughout this process, but for now I need to explain to my wallet why an enormous chunk was taken out of it.
