    Hradcanny Gatehouse

Another build showing some of the great Dwarven city of Hradcanny. This particular build shows one of the gates into the underground sections of the city. Jayan is originally from Hradcanny so he and Joktan have come to try and gather some dwarves willing to help fight the Hand outside of their city: More pictures showing the interior here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=602 Any C&C appreciated
  2. In the plains southeast of Valholl, near the Winterlakes, there is a small creek and a mill on it. The miller collects the grain from the surrounding fields and sells the flour mainly for Valholl. After lifting up the roof and opening the back wall, you can see the interior of the mill. The driver is ready for the flour to fall from the heavens! “Hold on chum, we are going now.” “See you next time!” The barrels are full, the bakers of Valholl are waiting for the flour. Some fresh croissant, anyone? Note: Since transparent bricks takes aaaggggeeesss to render, the river is simply blue with some "ripples" on it. Be gentle with the critics about it please.

    North Tower

The North Tower The North Tower defends the Omurtag Gate. From the height of the wall archers can shoot the enemy through crenels. There are even more room for soldiers on the top. The top floor can be accessed via a ladder. End of shift. I built a digital version of the Omurtag Gate to put it next to the North Tower. Due to some limitation in LDD, it has some small difference from the brick-built one.

    Valholl's Southern Gate

Much of this build was inspired by Ecclesiastes' builds. There is a full interior in the gatehouse (even murder holes), the portcullis works as do the doors and there is a full interior. The cooper's house also has a full interior. Story: The southern gatehouse of Valholl is also a lighthouse, as most supplies are delived to Valholl via the river. Sir Glorfindel was the first to greet Sir Edwyn as he arrived at Valholl's harbor. "Welcome Sir Edwyn, I've heard much about you. I am Sir Glorfindel, officer of Valholl and I am to accompany you on your mission." "Thank you Glorfindel, but my orders did not specify why I was to come to Valholl." "Oh, well we can remedy that soon enough, Elon Chorian will give us the mission specifics at our meeting. Come, he is waiting at the citadel." Portcullis down: Doors closed: Warehouse: Cooper's: More pictures here: http://brickbuilt.org/Valholl-Gate.php I used a new backdrop for these pictures and I like it a lot. All comments/criticism appreciated
  5. The Bakery Food is important to every city. The good people of Valholl love all the delicacies that the bakery can offer. If you see the store sign of a croissant, you know that you are on the right place. The bread was just put into the oven, but the pretzel is ready to eat! The Toolsmith The site where all the hammers, axes, cleavers and other tools are made. These two gentlemen work day and night to assure that everyone in Valholl works with the finest quality tools. They work with metal and wood as well, so they have a wide knowledge about these materials. Of course in case of emergency, they change to produce swords and arrows. The Mint Economy won’t work without currency. The gold mines of Mitgardia provide plenty of resources to produce shiny little golden coins. As coining is a profitable activity, the mint looks a little fancier than other houses.

    Valholl Pharmacy

The Pharmacy of Lasvor Nirhad is located in Valholl on the main street, where many customers come by for the latest medicines that the owner offers. On the ground floor is the pharmacy itself. While waiting, customers can sit on a bench. The balance on the counter is an important instrument for all pharmacist! Behind the shopping area is the storage room where Lasvor can experiment with his new compounds to create even more effective drugs. On the second floor is the living area with a fireplace - which comes handy during the long Mitgardian winter - and among others a table with a couple of chairs.
  9. This is my first build for Challenge VI, used quite a few techniques I've tried before and a new one that I haven't seen used by anyone else before. On the top floor windows I used plate modified with ring to attach the tiles at the sides of the windows because I'd ran out of headlight bricks. The neat thing is using those you can put tiles on the inner part of a 1 wide wall, the SNOT tiles also sit farther into the wall than those attached to headlight brick. Daydelon castle was built recently under the supervision of Glorfindel. After the elemental attacks his old castle was destroyed and not wanting to leave the town defenseless: Glorfindel ordered the construction of a new castle. Now he has rallied several clans that live in the mountains nearby and is riding out to attack Revolword: (scored build 1) And tons more pics including interiors here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=73 After gathering as many men as possible, including Erikur and Sigolf Brimbane, Glorfindel headed for Cedrica. As the troops were passing through northern Avalonia they came across a small group of Avalonians. The group huddled together with the men on the outer edge when it first saw the army . Upon seeing the Mitgardian flag one of the two soldiers in the cluster stepped forward and adressed Glorfindel: "Will you give us aid? The fortress of Cameria was taken by The Hand of Corruption and Cameria has been ravaged. Only we managed to escape with our lives. You have enough soldiers to take the castle back, the army that took the fortress was not large and it is only several days travel from here." Glorfindel answered after some thought: "We will help you, we are on our way to Cedrica but every fortress is valuable." More pics: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=278 Glorfindel quickly planned the attack on the fortress and three days later the assault on the Fortress of Cameria began: (scored build 2) Defender's view: The dwarves and some clansmen attack the doors: Looking up the river, as far as I know the bridge design is new: waterfall: Armed with the element of surprise and outnumbering the defenders, the Mitgardian army soon had the fortress captured. Only a couple of the defenders were left alive, and only for questioning... This build was heavily inspired by Sirens-of-Titan's incredible Vostok Fortress.Lots more pics here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=285 After taking control of the fortress Glorfindel and his officers interrogated the two Hand of Corruption soldiers that had survived: (scored build 3) The interrogation: The story these soldiers told was almost unbelievable... Only days before Revolword, with two bodyguards, had come to inspect the town and congratulate the Hand of Corruption forces on another victory: Little did the fool realize how near his doom was. As Revolword left, his own guards and the Hand of Corruption betrayed him: The two bodyguards left at once to tell Rellik Nam of the success of his plans. Revolword never realized Rellik, his supposed ally, was really using the wizard to further his own plan of dominance over Historica. The Hand of Corruption has grown strong while Historica has been weakened... Glorfindel realizing the importance of this event, after confirming the truth of the tale, quickly wrote to Elon Chorian: Then he gave the letter to one of his most trusted soldiers and sent him to find Elon: Revolword has fallen, yet the Hand of Corruption is stronger than ever before and seeks total control of Historica... Here are pictures of some of the other rooms not directly involved in the story: More detail pictures and pictures of the whole thing together here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=399 And yes all these rooms are only one build, they all hook together to form the complete interior. All C&C welcome

After having met with Steen and Elon, Glorfindel arranges a meeting with Joktan so they can work together against the hand and for Mitgardia. Their meeting place, the statue of the owl. Tournament in Valholl

Before Revolword came to power, and even before the search for the crystals, a great tournament was held in Valholl. People came from far and wide to participate or just watch. Here Glorfindel jousts another Mitgardian knight: I tried to include as many sigs as possible, so you might just find yourself I wish I could have included more, but some of you I just don't have the pieces to even make a recognizable version All C&C welcome
