  1. Not really a brickfilm...but hey - it´s LEGO
  2. Hoots! Gloryhammer aren't visiting the mighty land of Cymru, but I have created some little plastic version to make up for it. If you were not aware, Gloryhammer are a metal band. Their latest album Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards has been pretty much on repeat in my Car. Being a little bored and thinking that the promo shot: Had a number of elements that matched well with LEGO I in fact owned... I couldn't resist! The castle in the background is Caerphilly Castle, I visted there today with my sister and her friends, but it has long been a favourite of the family to visit. I thought it would make a pretty epic backdrop. Hope you enjoy these figs!
  3. #10 - Nova Hunter Nova Hunter is the chief in the Exploriens theme He has a cool mustache and looks like a mature leader. His Explorien uniform with black hands looks awesome too. He was a cool enough character to be included in the LEGO Racers video game. #9 - Bob Bob is one of the first minifigures and is commonly used as a mascot by LEGO. The thing I like about Bob is his classic smiley face. Even though he only appeared in two sets, he is easy to build with classic smiley face, red torso and blue pants. #8 - Baron Von Baron Baron Von Baron (formerly known as Sam Sanister/Sinister, Evil EyeLord Sam Sinister, and Mr. Hates) was the main villain from the Adventurers and Orient Expedition themes. In the Egypt theme he tried to steal the Re-Gou ruby but failed. On Dino Island he tried to steal dinosaurs to open up a theme park. I like his monocle, cool mustache and hook hand. He is an awesome villain. He was also cool enough to be included in LEGO Racers 1 and 2 (though he has both hands in part 2) #7 - Tony Twister and Professor Millennium Tony Twister, alternately known as Baron Bloomberg in the United Kingdom, is a Time Twisters minifigure released in 1997. He is a villain and travels through time along with his twin brother, Professor Millennium, alternately known as Commodore Schmidt in the United Kingdom. I like Tony's mustache, leather hat and black jacket with yellow epaulettes. Millennium has the same cool hat and an awesome goatee beard. I put them here together because they are twins. #6 - Pepper Roni Pepper Roni is the star of the LEGO Island trilogy. He is a young delivery boy who delivers pizza to the citizens of LEGO Island. I like him because he looks like a cool kid. I like his printed hair and pizza torso. #5 - Dr. Cyber Dr. Cyber is one of Timmy's friends from the Time Cruisers theme. He goes back in time with him and collects hats from different times. He has a robot named Robby. He tries to alter the Space-time Continum as little as possible. He was a rocket scientist at NASA. I like his cartoonish eyes, red bow tie and pencil. I also like him because Time Cruisers is my favorite theme. #4 - Dr. Kilroy also known as Dr. Charles Lightning and Professor Articus Dr. Kilroy is a minifigure from the Adventurers theme. He is a brilliant scientist with extensive knowledge of artifacts and archaeology. According to LEGO Mania Magazine, he is Johnny Thunder's uncle. He is cool because of his cartoonish eyes, awesome beard, red bow tie and assortment of outfits featuring a white pith helmet. Plus he hangs out with Johnny Thunder in he most awesome adventures. #3 - Zack Zack (also known as Red Shirted Cowboy) is a Western minifigure released in 1996. He has appeared in seven sets and appears in all the Lego western commercials. Zack is a tough cowboy who helps the Sheriff protect the town from outlaw cowboys. I like him because of his blue jeans, a red button-up shirt, and a brown vest with gold buttons. My favorite thing about Zack is his printed white wavy hair. His head and face are used as the Ice Planet Astronaut. #2 - Johnny Thunder Johnny Thunder is the main protagonist of the LEGO Adventurers theme. He is included in numerous sets as a minifigure in each of the theme's sub-series, often alongside his friends Dr. Charles Lightning and Gail Storm . In addition to all of this, Johnny also appears in seven video games more than any other LEGO character. I like his mustache, hair and hat. He was the LEGO equivalent of Indiana Jones but cooler. #1 - Timmy Timmy was a minifigure who was first released in 1996. He has a pet monkey named Ingo. He has a pet monkey named Ingo He was seen extensively in the Time Cruisers theme until its discontinuation in 1997, and after that he appeared in many FreeStyle sets. Timmy has the best face ever with black hair hanging down, cartoon eyes and even has a nose!!
  4. MOCed minifigures from CMF S14 and a photobombing spider-guy.
  5. Here are the zombies from my display collection. I have tried to make them more fantasy zombies of the Dungeons & Dragons variety rather than modern zombies that official LEGO ones are. I have had most of them for years, but only just photographed them as I was waiting for the Scooby-Doo and CMF S14 zombies. Questions? Comments? Futile attempts to escape these brain-starved undead?
  6. Hello, the Lego Dimensions Starter Pack comes with a Batmobil and three minifigures: Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle. Images with full details you can find right here. Minifigures: Gameplay & Toy Pad: I was able to play the game at a Warner Press Event in Hamburg a few days ago. In my YT-Channel you find more LD-Videos. Best wishes Andres
  7. I was thinking that LEGO might want to do another themed series, as Monsters has become such a hit. I figured the next one would be Mythology, which has been another popular subtheme of the Minifigures, with less representation. This is what we have so far: Minotaur Ocean King Cyclops Medusa Battle Goddess Lady Cyclops Here are some ideas I have for a set of 16 and the standard five females: * King of the Gods- reuse laurel-crown hair, Fisherman beard, have a skirt for a toga, lightning-bolt accessory * Lord of the Dead- Skull accessory, black/green robe, white skin, black hair. * Hunting Goddess- Bow/arrow, moon designs on robes, new hair? * Love Goddess- Crystal heart piece (as seen in Friends/DP), long Elizabeth Swann hair, white robe, clamshell accessory * Satyr- possibly reuse Gargoyle head (although a new piece would be better, two peg legs with the feet painted black, Pan pipes accessory * Grey Sister- This one is designed to be bought in threes. An old crone in a grey cloak with a 1x1 eye tile, and two faces. One with empty eye sockets, and one with an eye in it. When set up in a group, one of them can have the eye in, or none of them can while the eye is being passed. For simplicity's sake, all of them can have the tooth. * Messenger God- new winged helmet to allow for Flash customs as well, caduceus staff, satchel * Wicked Weaver- Human-spider hybrid like Spinlyn, but perhaps with fewer pieces, or an arrogant Greek female with a spindle and a spider accessory. * Strong Hero- club piece, lion-skin robe, snake accessory * Gorgon Slayer- Spartan helmet, reuse Battle Goddess's shield, have wings printed on side of feet. * Harpy- short female with Man-Bat style arms, but with feathered wings. Ugly face, perhaps with Chima-esque beak printed on it. * Centaur- new horse-like lower body with pegs to insert into torso * War God- Spear, shield, Spartan helmet, angry face with red eyes and red armor? * Music God- Lyre accessory, sun designs on robes, bow and arrow * Party God- Bunch of grapes, laurel crown hair, purple robes, thrysus staff or goblet * Blacksmith God- scarred face, recolored Mjolnir, sword (perhaps in a glowing orange state), brown robes I'm not entirely sure how well these would sell, but there's definitely a market for it, and it seems like the next theme LEGO could expand on, without repeat characters to complain about. Any other ideas that would work better?
  8. Hi! So I've decided I want to start customize Lego Minifigures and Friends mini-dolls. First off, I would like to know what are best types of paint to use on the mini-dolls and minifigures (including the rubber Friends hair). I've tried painting a Friends figures and the paint dried in a hard finish, and it inhibited movement of the legs. Also, what are the best methods for removing any printing. And finally, does anyone know how to take apart a Friends figure?? Thanks so much for any, and all tips!
  9. Hello. I did not think I would start collecting minifigs except those with diverse set. Is there any special way to approach it? Miscellaneous old minifigs, what about them? I have a mixed bunch, many are probably not complette more, but still fun to have.

    [MOC] Sunset Surfer

Hi all, I did this a while ago, it's part of my Skyboarders theme inspired by Akira and Chopper. Hope ya like it.
  11. When I first started collecting LEGO I never would have dreamed of taking apart a minifigure in order to make an original one. I've just recently gotten into LEGO photography and now a good majority of my figures are mixed or missing hands and heads! Now that I've joined Eurobricks, I plan on building a lot more custom figures. My question is how do those of you who primarily assemble your own custom figures sort their parts? Do you assemble the figures the way they are supposed to be in the sets and then pick off what you need later, or do you just directly sort the heads, torsos, and legs as soon as you open a set? Edit: Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. I just discovered the "Minifigure Customization" forum. I'm still learning how to navigate around here.

    Custom Minifigure Ideas

So, there's a topic about purist superheroes, but as a new Eurobricks user, I haven't yet found a place to just throw out purist or other custom minifigure ideas. Any custom minifigure idea is welcome, purist or modded, so long as it has at least one major difference from an out of the box TLG figure. Remember, ANY custom figures are welcome here.
  13. I come across a lot of these sets when I am looking on eBay or BrickLink for specific minifigures. So much in fact I wonder if it would be easier to just buy a new set myself, remove the minifigures I want, and then sell the bricks off seperate (and any figs in the set I don't want). Before I do this I want to know how well do these sets w/o minifigures actually sell though? I ask because the price of the minifigures alone seem to be 70-80% of a sets value. For instance I can buy a brand new Hobbit Bo5A set for $60 OR I can buy JUST the minifigures for almost $50 (Dain and Thorin are $10 each, 2x Gundabad Orcs are $3 each, Azog is $8.50, Bard and Legolas are $4 each, and Gwaihir is $6 as the cheapest). That means I could sell the bricks, nearly 450 of them, for $10 and be coming out about the same as if I just bought all the minifigures alone on eBay or BL. Of course most sellers still ask about 50% of the sets value for just the bricks, making it much cheaper to buy a new set, keep the figs, and sell the bricks if they actually sell. So my question is, how easy is it to just sell a complete set of bricks minus the minifigures? If they actually sell decently, this seems like it would be WAY cheaper for me than trying to buy up all the extra minifigures in sets I want.

Hello. The first of three sets inspired in the work of Alexandre Dumas - The adventures of D'Artagnan and the three Musketeers - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/60680 - Hope you like it! Cheers! Enjoy and leave your opinions.
  16. First off, not sure if this in the right place in this forum. But decided to make a topic about advice of the right parts to use to make up the characters from the R&C series (up to now), and wasn't sure if this has already been discussed on here before. Hence this topic being created. I also wondered if anyone, to start off with knows what parts to use for a custom Sigmund from R&C: A Crack In Time. Hope this can be used as some where to discuss and share/help in making of the custom Minifigs from both, the Ratchet & Clank Original and Future Series.

    [MOC] The Shadow Knows

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this but I cant see where this MOC would fit in. Its a little vig with a custom minifigure. It features the 1930's crime fighting pulp hero The Shadow. No one knows his true face as he possesses the power to "cloud men's minds" learned during his time in the mysterious mountains of the far east. He warns us that "The weed of crime bears bitter fruit!" "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?" "The Shadow knows, Ha Ha Ha Haa Haaaaa!"

    (MOC) The Minifigure Factory

It was a day like any other, deep in the industrial zone of LEGO City. Back in the little known minifigure factory cute little robots were churning out minifigures like they always did - heads, suits, hands, hairs, heads, suits, hands, hairs, and so on. No one knew how it happened. Certainly the robots didn't know. Maybe it was just a glitch. Maybe it was a criminal! No one knew. But somehow, something went wrong. One of the heads. Two of the hands. Something about their color. just. didn't. seem. right. It. was. flesh! And that was the beginning of the end. A close-up of the production line: And all my little robots! A bit of a hark back to my Cake Manufacturers. I love this kind of build! I hope this is the right place for this. As you probably have guessed, I'm not a fleshie fan! C&C welcome! Thanks for checking it out!

    A slightly LEGO wedding

Last month my girlfriend and I got married which, apart from being incredibly awesome in its own right , now means I can share some of the fun LEGO related things we worked into the whole process. We got engaged whilst on holiday last summer and almost immediately she suggested we use mini-figures as wedding favours/place settings. In fact we visited 5 LEGO stores during the holiday in a quest for useful bits from the pick-a-brick wall and build a minifigure bins. Coupled with good few ebay job-lots and some of my existing sets we ended up with a personalised figure for every one of our guests (here laid out on the actual table-plan): For some of our guests this was easier than others; there was quite a bit of Facebook profile checking to figure out the best features to work in to capture some aspect of each guest. Over the 7 months of prep we also had a good number of headgear (and head) swaps as various friends' beards and hairstyles came and went: I am so glad we did this as all the guests seemed to love their figures; for the next 5 days my facebook news feed was almost entirely filled with friends changing their profile pictures to pics of their figs. After searching a while for a venue we found a Medieval Hall which then of course led to an excuse for me to buy some Castle sets and produce this vignette for the save the date cards: With the Medieval Hall booked you could perhaps forgive us thinking it was fate when we spotted a 3ft tall 1980's Black Falcon promo statue on ebay nearby. Shortly after he was living in our lounge (and being hidden away every time a relative or friend came to visit). Of course we had to give him a job to do on the day so we made him a banner and stood him outside the venue: He also appeared in the venue on our Ceremony booklet: (His normal minifig self was hidden in several places throughout our invites too). The invites had a vignette for each page of information; for example the menu: There was also a liberal splattering of Pratchett-esque olde tyme rightinge throughout to fit the medieval theme. The reception was actually at another venue a 10 min walk away and we had one of our friends lead a procession between the two with the banner and another carrying the knight on a sack truck. With Becky leading on the production of minifig favours, I set about creating a not-so-mini-figure table plan. Each of the 10 tables had a Lego minifig torch or alarm clock to identify it (excluding the top table which got the giant black falcon), for example here is the 'fire' table: The figs were also given the jobs of holding a set of 'instructions' detailing who on that table had ordered what food. The front side of the instructions were stolen straight from the LEGO movie: Finally to find their seats the guests had to find their name under a list of themes then cross reference it to a minifig scale map of the hall featuring the relevant characters (by the way, the 234 pcs is a reference to the total number of dishes being served, not the number of guests): Ably assisted by the overstaffed LEGO police department: And of course no wedding would be complete without cake (made by my parents): ...or indeed without fancy wedding shoes for the bride : Becky and I got some real enjoyment out of the whole planning side of things and the day itself was just superb; I think we managed to put plenty of 'us' into the wedding whilst keeping it fun for everyone. Hopefully you have enjoyed seeing the LEGO related bits! P.S. My brother in his best man speech also noted we must be perfect for each other as she let me do this (http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=95715) to our spare room.

[SPC] Cat A - Space Pirate Crew

Hi All, Here's my space pirate crew entry for Category A. The crew of the E.T.'s Revenge! Name: Captain Isaac Skuttlebutt Bio: More than your average eyeball in a jar. Barrel chested, ruddy fearless and encrusted with plundered finery. With wits as sharp as his deadly rending claws. The Captain of E.T.'s Revenge is a space pirate to his very (power) core. Moto: An eye for an eye. Name: Mr Horrorshow Bio: Some say he is from the dank depths of a gravity well. Some say his true face is terrifying beyond belief. Some say he just needs a hair cut. Mysterious, mumbling and menacing Mr Horrorshow is the stuff of bluecoat nightmares. Moto: Hrrrrrrrrrgh...Hrrrrgh.. Name: Molluskus Bio: Ship's Master-at-arms which is unsurprising really. Molluskus is a weapons expert possessing the ability to fight 8 men at once. He always carries a bottle which he can fit into as a party trick. Moto: All hands on deck, which one exactly? Name: Long John Shrimpy Bio: Former space miner and full time dwarf who tired of digging for gold. Now he prefers to prise it from his victims cold dead hands. Don't mention his mechanized platform shoes or you'll be meeting his war-hammer "Betty". Moto: Life is short, yours will be shorter. Name: Bilious Wretch Bio: A former captain brought low by his fondness for Astro-Grog. Bilious is literally booze fueled thanks to his back pack feeding grog directly into his blood stream. He may not know what day it is but his foul odor and temper make him a horrible space pirate to behold. Moto: What grog will not cure, there is no cure for. Name: Ed Gunner Bio: Is that a cannon on yer head or are you just pleased to see me? Both is the answer from the diminutive Edward Gunner. As the ship's head gunner, Ed provides ranged mobile fire support but he also loves close quarters combat for which he reserves a cannon ball on a chain, nasty! Moto: Shoot first ask questions never.
  23. Hi all, I've been working on some min figs for the Space Pirates competition. Last night I took apart my Space Miner fig. I watched a video and followed it. I took the individual arms and legs out of their sockets. Now one of the legs is pretty loose. My question is does the process of removing the individual arms and legs risk damaging the min figs? I have a bunch of great figs and want to get the most from them build wise without damaging them. Any advice would be welcome.
