  1. Welcome, to my listing! This listing is for a minifigure scale First Order Snowspeeder. The model was designed by @TheBrickBuilder14 and I have his express permission to sell the model. I built this a few months back with 95% new bricks, this cost me just over £35 to Bricklink. I am selling the model for £28 including postage. You can find the LXF here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/118717-moc-first-order-snowspeeder/. The model has slight modifications and a single substitute two 1x1 black bricks on the bottom instead of two dark gray 1x1s this sub is not visible. 5. Hello, I was wondering who is the designer of the original minifigure? I think, like probably, lot of us :) it so brilliant idea. Minifigs are just awesome :) I am curious is he/she designed any other famous things. So far I found only info that first minifigs were released in 1975 (non-moving ones) and in 1978 was first release of sets with "real" minifigs. But who designed them? P.S. First ever released minifigs from 1978:
  6. I'm as susceptible as anyone to "the cult of the new" when it comes to minifigures and bigfigs, prone to oohing and ahhing over LEGO's latest creations. But sometimes I don't get that feeling and find older versions better than newer ones. Here are some examples: This is my favourite Joker (though with the big smile on the double printed head, not the smirk pictured), not the forthcoming one. And here is the Hulk I like most, not this one that came out a year later. I like this Spider-Man more than this one despite it being 10 years older. The ghosts I prefer are this one followed by this one. The more recent CMF one is cool too and I have one in my display collection with a different head, but the ones with the white shrouds are top of my list of phantoms. I realise that these preferences are entirely subjective and that opinions will vary, but was wondering what older versions or minifigures, bigfigs and moulded creatures other FOLs prefer to newer versions. Are there any that have disappointed you or do you always like the latest ones most?
  7. I created this topic to share my Nexo Knight Army! Most pieces are Lego, others are custom, or third party. Note: some Nexo Power Shields are custom printed, and not scannable for the game. I really hope you enjoy! The Monster Army
  8. With Halloween rapidly approaching, I thought I'd share the scariest minifigures ever! Most of these are MOCs, but one, the mutant Dr O'Neil, was as sold in the TMNT range. How TLG thought such a creepy minifigure was suitable for kids is a mystery. Anyway, here are my contenders for the freakiest minifigures of all time: Don't think they're that scary? Let's see your spooky minifigures - purist or not!
  9. Down The Rabbit Hole by Quentin Collins, on Flickr Down, down, down! Would the fall never come to an end? There was nothing else to do, so Alice soon began talking to herself. "Dinah'll miss me very much tonight, I should think!" (Dinah was the cat.) "I hope they'll remember her saucer of milk at tea-time. Dinah, my dear, I wish you were down here with me!" - Lewis Carroll - 1865
  10. The Classic Castle LEGO Minifigure Catalog has just become available. It is available as a book or ebook. It contains all the Classic Castle Minifigure and no, it does not contain Nexo Knights. I does, however, included the Classic Castle heraldry and you might also enjoy the t-shirt.
  11. My kid has gotten into both LEGO and the Moomins, characters created by Tove Jansson. (This Moomin series is over 70 years old.) After finding Moomin pencil caps when visiting Moomin World I came up with a crazy idea. I created my own Moomin minifigures. Snufkin and Little My were created using standard minifigure parts. Moomintroll and Snork Maiden heads are cut from a pencil topper. The toppers were easily found in several tourist stores in Finland. Left to Right - Moomintroll, Snufkin, Snork Maiden, and Little My Snufkin Little My Moomintroll Closeup of the head. I cut off the head from the small body that came with the pencil topper. The hole for the pencil was the right size but needed to be drilled deeper. I used a Dremel tool for all of the cutting. I only bought two pencils so I was a little nervous about trying to clean up the edges. All in all. I'm happy with the results. I'm thinking of trying this again if I find other interesting pencil tops. These minifigure were developed for my family's enjoyment. The rights to these characters is owned by Moomin Characters Ltd. Maybe someday LEGO will look to license them.
  12. Hey everyone, I've been super into the new game Hyper Light Drifter and am looking at making a custom Drifter figure. I've sourced a bunch of parts from BrickLink and Cape Madness already but am feeling kind of stuck on the torso. I feel like I need to find a way to preserve his yellow jewel thing, and maybe his belt or the top part of his tunic/girdle. Any suggestions are welcome!
  13. Hi everyone! I'm new here on EB, and this is my first actual post for the town theme. A bit about myself: I make all kinds of cars in Minifig Scale, or better said: Minifig proportion. I try my best to make them as realistic, firm and buildable as possible - and fit at least 2 Minifigs side by side. Not an easy task most of the time - especially when my maximum width is 7 wide for large all terrain vehicles/ sportcars and 6 wide for standard and oldtimer cars. I bet some can relate I dont own any lego bricks, so i build LDD only. But im planing to order bricks soon from bricklink... Lets get started When i started off building cars in LDD, i had a hard time working out that height issue. The cars where always too high when i wanted to fit the figs in sitting upward, i even bended back a bit, but didnt really help either. As its well known, the issue for that is the minifig itself due to wide and short proportions (infant like). We will never get this right... BUT in my opinion, its also the modern way of building cars in general - which does "wierden" this whole car thing even more. Being a 90ies kid, i remember most of the car/town sets back then and when i compared to the car/town sets today, i noticed a major difference: wheel sizes! Nowadays, the lego company uses the same type of big wheels + fenders on almost all types of vehicles, be it a police car or a truck. So i went back "to the roots", used the smaller tires (from the mirco racers) for my cars, i layed the minifigs down as much as possible to get the car height right - and this came out! enjoy, tell me what you think my final result of an Lamborghini Aventador lp900 (currently being worked on in LDD to make a few things easier) This one has functional doors, a bendable roof and fits 2 minifigs side by side. its 7 wide in total (no fenders) Lego Lamborghini Aventador lp900 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr my first design of an ultra sleek supercar, this time a 7 wide diablo (more simple design, easy brick usage, the windscreen is made of black hinge pieces) Lamborghini Diablo yellow front by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr NS LamDia top view render yellow by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr Lamborghini Diablo back view by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr NS Lamborghini diablo purple by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr the way it opens is by bending the roof back (hinge pieces at the back rear) NS Lamborghini diablo opended by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr the classic side view as found on the net: http://www.google.de...wIVwrcUCh2gRwrd Lamborghini Diablo black by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr now messing around with different lego themes: Paradiso Lambo by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr NS Lamborghini diablo police scene by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr classic space special forces diablo by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr hope you enjoyed, keep on brickin;) many greets, ron.
  14. Hello, I would like to let you know that a dedicated Middle Earth LEGO Minifigure Catalog is now available. It has the best photographs of all the LOTR/Hobbit Minifigures in it. I hope you enjoy it.
  15. A Faithful Tribute This is a follow up to the very successful 5002812 – Classic Spaceman Minifigure from 2014 and 5003082 – Classic Pirate Minifigure from 2015. It was no surprised that LEGO was going to continue this rather special trend of celebrating classic themes through these exclusive promos. This set is a direct homage and tribute to 6012 - Siege Cart; a small impulse LEGO Castle set released exactly 30 years ago. Unintentionally this promo becomes even more special as it’s released a few weeks after the passing of Daniel August Krentz, a retired LEGO designer who worked at LEGO between mid-1970s until 2000. Daniel is known to many us as the designer of 375 – Castle. Packaging The primary aspect of the box design is very reminiscent of most of the boxes between 1960 – 1965; the white studs covering the entire box and the LEGO logo in the top left. The box doesn’t scream attention to the contents much like the current products do, instead they show a small and simple vignette of the set with an extract of the booklet included and the 2016 stamp. Other nice details of the packaging include the LEGO System logo from 1950s on three sides. To open the box, you have to slide open the drawer on the right hand side which contains the pieces and booklet. Not only does the contents of the product reflect the classic sets, it’s also presented through the packaging and experience as you open the box which is one of the many reasons why this series is clearly a success. These easily have the best packaging of any LEGO product alongside Architecture, LEGO Ideas and the two exclusive Technic sets (41999 & 42056.) Booklet The booklet starts off with the simple instructions to build the Minifigure and model. It follows up by documenting the classic LEGO Castle sets through a timeline starting with the origins leading up to 2016’s Nexo Knights. Which follows a similar pattern with the previous two promos in this series. With the future instalments I can only guess it will be a similar scenario by promoting a new theme / sub-theme that links back to a classic LEGO theme. Surprisingly this also comes with a sticker sheet / postcard; the stickers are images of Minifigures represented throughout the Castle themes as well as the two LEGO logos. On the reverse side it’s a typical postcard design with a ‘castle / knights’ twist! I wish it was just a postcard with an awesome print showcasing this set instead of the stickers which slightly decreases the exclusivity of this promo. Minifigure The Minifigure is a near replica of the official castle sets, the difference being the weapon of choice; the long axe is a rather odd choice, perhaps an alternative weapon such as a bow and quiver could have been included instead. The printing is fantastic, both on the torso and the shield. I really appreciate that the torso or printing wasn’t over done or didn’t represent the ‘classic’ torso. That’s was one aspect that took away from previous promo (5003082 - Classic Pirate Minifigure.) Model The only noticeable difference between this model and the one included with 6012 - Siege Cart is the use of brown slopes over plates for the front bow shape, my guess is they weren’t available in the 80s. Besides that, pretty much every detail and feature from the original model has been replicated into this model, including the shield attachment at the front! Much like the printing they’ve stayed faithful and not over done the details to bring the design into modern day. Final Analysis / Conclusion Comparing this promo to the previous two; it’s easily the superior of the three! Not only does it reflect and celebrate the classic castle theme it also gives a faithful reproduction to a classic set: 6012 - Siege Cart; rather than including a random assembly of parts as did ‘5003082 - Classic Pirate Minifigure from 2015. It’s a perfect example of what a faithful homage and promotional product should be! 9.5 / 10 In the memory of Daniel August Krentz (1937 – 2016.)

    [MOC] Y Soser Hedfan

Y Soser Hedfan by David Roberts, on Flickr Y Soser Hedfan translates into English as The Flying Saucer. It was used as a single-seat space racer, suitable for operating in planets' atmospheres and deep space. Millennia after alien space pirates had terrorised the galaxy in ships such as The Jaws of Death, their blue and yellow striped spacecraft were famous as some of the fastest space racers. These ships would race both in and out of planets' atmospheres at incredible speeds. In those days, men were real men, women were real women, and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri. The requirement for atmospheric performance led ships in this category to be streamlined and have lifting bodies and/or wings. Other examples included ships such as the Furias and the Tangerine Dream. This led to vessels being very smooth and free of the "greebles" much beloved of spaceship spotters, floating around in their zero-g anoraks. Y Soser Hedfan by David Roberts, on Flickr By the time of , the aliens had been in contact with the spacemen of Classic Space for many years. They had begun to adopt many of the spacemen's habits, including a love of tea and biscuits. Inevitably this led to the consumption of items such as rich teas, custard creams and even garibaldis in the cockpit. After a terrible crumb triggered pilot induced oscillation, it became normal to hoover out the pilot's position after each flight. This last photo shows a dejected Crumb Removal Operative (Vacuum 2nd Class), setting off for his second task of the day: cleaning out the stalls of the kidnapped cows. The high suction power of the hoovering machines often led to horrific accidents, with the mangled bovines being returned to Earth. FOURTH WALL This is the first MOC that I've posted onto Eurobricks. I think that I've read the various posting rules and tutorials but I've committed any faux pas, please do let me know.
  19. My MOCs/mods that make use of parts from the recently released Disney CMF line. Apologies for the rubbish photography. The vampiress-witch's staff is topped with a purple gem. It looks blue in the picture but isn't in real life. What MOCs or mods have you made using Disney parts?
  20. What are some of your favorite minifigs for town scenes that aren't from the Collectible Minifigures line? Bonus points for figs that have an obvious profession (that isn't firefighter or police officer )

(Evil snickering) “Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn.” "I have had just about enough of this. I'm hanging up now! Stop calling here, you're driving me insane!" 22. I made this Scarab SRV (Surface Recon Vehicle) from the video game Elite Dangerous: Horizons. It is built to Minifigure scale, and contains over 450 bricks. I hope you like it. Feedback is very welcome ofcourse. (Also I added it to ideas.lego too, if you fancy supporting it https://ideas.lego.com/projects/134382) Main Features Two Commander Minifigures - male and female. Movable side boosters - used for jumping over obstacles and ravines, and for self-righting if the vehicle gets stuck upside down after a tumble. Movable top mounted turret with twin-plasma-repeaters for mining minerals, for self-defence, and for data-link transmission. Headlights (x6), brakelights (x2) and reverse light (x1). Twin wavescanner probes at the front of the cockpit, for locating interesting objects. Two salvaged cargo cannisters - the generic blue/grey type. They often just contain tea, but hopefully these ones are full of gold! A spooky black "Unknown Artifact" - no-one knows why these mysterious alien objects started appearing near the "Merope" star system, or why they emit such creepy sounds ... So what is a Scarab SRV? It is a one-person buggy, designed for exploring remote rocky and icy worlds in high or low gravity. It can easily achieve speeds of over 85mph on flat terrain, and is great for doing skids, donuts and low-gravity-somersaults. It can carry two standard cargo units, and can scoop up minerals and resources from planet surfaces. In the game it looks like this, and features in this game trailer.
