Hello, Very shortly I thought you might want to check out this virtual build I made for an entry to recent rebrick contest called Freighter Wars. I did not have much time to spend on this and I admitt humbly that the internal structure could use more than just slight improvements. Since I am actually really happy with how it turned out, I may end up re-visiting this and improving its guts to meet my good standards :) You can click on the picture and browse couple more images in my Flickr gallery. Kudos! The design inspired by this badass model built a good decade ago by Mark Kelso, one of the members of my personal hall of awe. The idea is that this Tough Barge (for a lack of better name ideas) was built from a wrecks of Correllian YT-1300 Light Freig... ah scrap it - Millennium Falcon, and another correllian ship. Few welds here and there and this is the result. Hope you like it... nothing to fancy, but I hope not to bad either :D

I found my way back into spaceships! (Last one I built was this little black thing long ago). In a way it's not so different from a classic sailing ship, what I'm more used to build. A YT-1300 Light Freighter repurposed and heavily modified in the hands of a gang of space pirates. The port side mandible was removed to allow a front-mounted cockpit . This increases the visibility for the pilot, which comes in handy when pursuing other spacecraft. The starboard mandible was enlarged to fit the added cloaking devices, enhanced radar systems, top-mounted quad turret and various sensors and transmitters. Some of the front top hull plates were replaced by solar panels, to serve as an additional power source. It powers the electro magnetic defense shields most of the time but the output can be redirected to the tractor beam or the hyper drive buffer battery. The technology is similar to that of the Twin Ion Engine fighters used by the Empire. Due to the excessive heat generated by the solar panels, the usable living space was reduced in that area. The container hook on the bow was removed along with the front leg of the landing gear, this allowed for more photovoltaic surface on the front hull. The rear hull plates were modified with adaptive hatches to provide better heat ventilation for the hyper drive. BB-type astromech droid units are docked in two top-side portholes. These will be deployed for in-flight operations to monitor the exterior and perform repairs. I hope you like it. My loot from Skaerbaek was very useful to build this . Because it had to be finished today (for the ReBrick contest) I did not have time to build a fitting crew but I might still do so later.

Hello! This is my entry for the Freighter Wars contest on Rebrick. Anybody order a large Corellian freighter with extra cheese? This hunk of junk food may not look like much, but it sure is tasty! Comprised of a large pepperoni pizza, a cheeseburger, a milkshake, a cookie, two hotdogs, and a side of fries, this food freighter is sure to satisfy even the biggest hunger and send the Fast Food Empire running!

Hello! This is my entry for the Millennium Falcon contest on The Brothers Brick. Please excuse the poor picture quality as I was in a rush to get it photographed. While Lego Batman was not impressed with those "bunch of dudes" that he stole a hyperdrive from, he did take a liking to their ship, so after Brickburg was saved, he constructed his own version of the Millennium Falcon: the Millennium Bat! Equipped with 2 quad laser cannons, a Bat-computer, a crime lab, a weapons rack, a Bat-radar, a jet engine, powerful wheels, and a dining room for eating lobster thermidor, this bad boy serves as both a big, fierce crime-fighting vehicle as well as a mobile Batcave. The cockpit opens up to seat the pilots inside. The upper quad laser cannon can be lifted up to access the gunner station underneath. And just like on all the official Falcons, the hull opens up to reveal the interior. There are tools, a workbench, the engine, a desk for detective work, and a small bed. This is where our heroes hang their weapons. Here is the Batcomputer and the sitting area. Since Batman doesn't play board games, there is a plate of lobster thermidor instead of the holo chess. A close up of our heroes: Bat Solo (who always shoots first and hits at first try), Rrrrrrobin (who is very hairy), Princess Barbareia, and their loyal butler L-FR3D. Thanks for looking. Due to some personal reasons, the time has come to part with my beloved 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon.Those who have been on the forum for a few years know that I was among the first in our community to part out the set back in 2010, a time-consuming process that involved multiple orders primarily from Lego directly (with a few new pieces ordered from Bricklink). As a result, the set is 100% complete and includes ALL of the extremely rare pieces like the printed radar dish, LBG boat mast riggings, dark red 6x14 plate, etc. The original sticker sheet is even included BRAND NEW and in perfect condition, as is the silver 30th Anniversary sticker. All five minifigures (Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Obi-Wan) are in absolutely pristine, mint condition.I carefully inventoried all parts in the set multiple times, but never had the opportunity to build and display it. What you're getting is essentially a brand-new set, minus the original box and instruction manual. (A PDF copy of the instruction manual can still be downloaded from Lego. I Made a Replica of Marshall Banana's 7500pc Lego Millennium Falcon (Instructions!)

Last year I stumbled across Marshall Banana's massive, and exquisitely detailed Millennium Falcon MOC. I was quite impressed by the model as it makes Lego's official UCS appear quite pitiful in comparison. I had always felt Lego's UCS was a bit blocky looking (even for Lego) to begin with. After discovering Marshall Banana's custom, my first thought was "I'm going to build this one day." I tossed it into my browser's bookmark folder and didn't think about it for another four months or so. It was then that I decided to open a new project in LDCad and "just mess around with it." A couple of months and 200 hours later, I had a complete digital model. 60 hours after that, I had a complete real model. Finally another 70 hours and I had a complete instruction manual. Youtube | Ultimate Lego Millennium Falcon | Timelaps Build My model, while a very near twin of Marshall Banana's masterpiece, also boasts a number of upgrades and improvements throughout. I did succumb to using some "cheater" moves to avoid some techniques I didn't like. Most notably, I didn't like the technique used for the rear engines that involved bending stacked 1x2 plates. It put way too much tension on the bricks that would inevitably lead to cracking. My solution was to use 1/8 brass hobby rod as a 3mm rigid hose alternative and arrange the greeble and engine details into clip-on sections. This lead to another fix for the upper and lower edges of the engines. MB seemed to achieve a slight angle by attaching the pieces unevenly on the studs (assuming I interpreted correctly from the pictures). I really didn't like this, so I added another 1/8 rod at the correct height to allow the pieces to clip in and rest at the correct angle. I've made numerous other modifications including a number of shape adjustments to the shell plates to allow them to fit more evenly. View full Flickr album here. -
Hi Everyone, This is my first post in a very long time. I've had a prolonged hiatus from building MOCs (since having children) and until recently I hadn't really built anything on my own since about 2013. I discovered Tim Johnson's excellent New Elementary blog in December and have been an avid reader ever since. During January, Tim put out a call for new contributors for one of his 'parts festivals', this one revolving around the usage of the newly introduced Nexo Knights power shield (part no.27255). I was one of the lucky few to be selected to contribute and have made a couple of builds now. Most recently, for the May 4th celebrations I built a midi? scale Millennium Falcon, using "nexogons" as an inner structure to build off of. I thought I would share it here for your comments and also hopefully to introduce some of you to New Elementary. There are more pics and a bit of description here. I also designed some stickers for the cockpit and rear thrusters. I hope you like my attempt at the falcon and look forward to seeing any comments. Thanks!

My main goal was to completely rebuild and enlarge my 7965 Millennium Falcon, with the main focus on 'playability', so that all parts of the ship could be accessed by minifigures (and fat fingers!) from everywhere else + trying to keep as close to the real deal as possible - BUT only using parts from my few non-star wars sets and the ancient 7190 Falcon model. It started with taking the technic floor base from the 7965 set and making it 8 studs longer and wider and then I built it up in my own way from there. As my parts were limited, you'll see a lot of elements from 7965 (such as the external docking ports on the sides) but I feel I've added enough of my own style and ideas to call this my own creation. I tried to use official photos as source material, although I had to use a bit of 'artistic licence' here and there and a lot of the interior decor is wrong due to a serious LOL (Lack of Lego). I could have bought a million tiles for the floor and walls to make it look neater, but that would have taken me off my goal that I set at the start of the build - and I like studded floors so that the people can stand where they like as they fly through hyperspace ;)

Though I am not very good at designing in Lego form (or Lego Digital Designer), so i was wondering if anyone had any instructions for this or if anyone has a LDD file for this that would great. Hello, I'm new in this forum and I want to present to you my new Star Wars creation. I also submited this on Ideas https://ideas.lego.com/projects/83913 Any criticism or advice on how to improve it will be appreciated . About the model I want to made a model of the millenium falcon for the mini figure trophy's size that has as detailed interiors as posible and enought details to be used as display model. I don't really collect the microfighter line, but I couldn't resist snapping up one of my favorite Star Wars vehicles, the Millennium Falcon (75030). I just loved the concept of having this iconic vessel in something like chibi form! And then I started to tinker. And tinker some more. About a dozen iterations later, here is the final result: For reference, here's the before... And the after... I am calling this a MOD, since the official set was clearly the starting point. But much of the structure and many of the details have been entirely changed. Notably: * Minifig seat replaced by scale cockpit. (Tricky SNOT work, as I wanted it to be angled top AND bottom.) * Flick-fire missiles replaced by scale "gun turret" (dish and binoculars). * Starboard hatch added, same position and scale as port hatch. * Radar dish moved forward to more closely resemble original proportions. * Entirely new SNOT engine array. * New underside with actual landing gear. * Many dark bley parts replaced with light bley. Minor tan accents added. * Reworked area between mandibles, sloping symmetrically on both dorsal and ventral sides. * Custom-built stand. And Chewbacca, because it's just not the Falcon without Chewbacca! Here are some additional angles. Needless to say, this thing is highly swooshable! Here's a better look at the new SNOT engines. Incredibly basic, but it works beautifully! And one final angle on the whole package together: EDIT - For anyone (like LEGODrongo01 below) who would like some assistance making a similar MOD, here is a LDR file that I made using LDCad. Just click the image: EDIT 2 - Model updated with the NEW 2016 "Light Bluish Gray Plate, Round Half 3 x 6 with 1 x 2 Cutout" from 75136 Droid Escape Pod. This replaces the two 3x3 plates with curve for a rounder contour. (I also replaced most of the dark bluish gray plates with light bluish gray.)

The first Millennium Falcon released in 2000 was my favorite set as a child (and my biggest one !). But today it seems really outdated, overall because of the odd choice of colours, especially the red and blue bricks. So I decided to swap colours to something darker, and I changed some details : new turret inspired by the 2015 Falcon, new antenna, a kitchen, an engine room, new seats for the gunners and the passenger, a bed... And I removed the little "motojet" as it doesn't belong to the Star Wars universe. As the engines stands on the hidden compartment, I created a new one where the motojet used to be. My Crew : As I use the minifigures on my Cantina display, the original Falcon crew (with the yellow skin) are still displayed in the Falcon. Other views : I still have plans for this ship, like replacing the landing gears. But NO ! I won't remove the cockpit. Sure it doesn't look good, but it gives all the funny look of the 2000's Millennium Falcon. Sometimes nostalgia is better than similarity.

[WIP][MOC][UCS] EF76 Nebulon B medical frigate : The Redemption

The Redemption is one of my favorite ship in the original Star Wars trilogy. I really wanted to the build a UCS model of it. Yet, people who have built it aren't sharing the instructions for the moment (I understand why now ...). Last year I decided to design it under LDD with the goal of building it for real and displaying it ! Here are the conditions I've set and decision I've made: - A scale of 1/250 : -> 1/200 is actually better suited for this project. - Around 5000 parts : -> This was changed to 9000. - Only cheap and common parts : -> It's almost the case, all the parts are common. -> There are some expensive parts : the Technic bricks, the plates and few slopes. - Swooshable -> It will probably be swooshable as long as you don't hold it from the center. -> It will weight something like 15 kg ... - Be as close as possible to the movie model -> I am using about 200 pictures of the original model used for the movie -> I am using some pictures of the work done by ShowCraft on the therpf forum (He seems to have alot of information I don't) -> For the color scheme, I am using light bluish gray because 1) the parts are available and 2) you can't really see the colors in the movie -> In the movies, the model was mirrored to show the right side. If it is interesting, I use the model design, and if not, I mirror. - Build it by May the 4th 2016 -> It's going to be complicated ... I am about half way done with the design. Over the past year I have been working on a custom millennium falcon based off the 2004 set. I started out with an LDD file uploaded by a flickr user by the name of Flynn2000 After heavily editing a lot of the interior details and adding my own special touches like a new Escape Pod and landing gear. I decided to post it here as I have been having trouble finding a way to connect my landing gear design to the actual ship itself. Some cool renders of the ship below along with a download to the file. If any of you could think of a way to attach the landing gear I would love to read them!

Edit: Please note that this thread includes a mixture of posts from the 2015 Pictures & Rumours which have been merged with appoah4's thread..... Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond. A lighter grey,in the palette as a compromise would indeed have been great, but you make do with what you have. Not that I'm second guessing your decisions, but I'd still like to point out that white doesn't look that bad on a transport ship like The Ghost, which isn't really that far removed from the Falcon as far as presentation goes.. I realize that it has a lot of bright colors to contrast with a bright white, but the white is also toned down with clever use of grey plating like it was done on ghost.. I guess I should just assemble the thing in white in LDD sometime and take a screengrab and see for myself :) EDIT: This is what it looks like at the end of Bag 6: Also, if I may ask one more question, was there ever an idea of giving The Ghost interior space a la Falcon? I promise, no more questions after this.

I've lit up the engine of my UCS Millennium Falcon: It's done using a cheap €2 set of 20 LEDs from a Euro store. I had to replace the 2x3 grey plates the trans-blue tile attach to with transparent parts (and as 2x3 clear plates cost a fortune, I built them out of 1x1s and 1x2s). After that, there was a bit of work to remove some parts that blocked the lights, and some internal parts to hold the wires in place. The battery box sits neatly under the top gun emplacement, where it's easily accessible to turn on/off or change batteries. For a fairly easy mod, I think the really adds something to the Falcon. James

After I buillt the Haunted House I wanted to make another house in the same style. I'm not totally satisfied, but I'd like to share it before I take it apart. Han Solo's House It opens like the Haunted house High tech kitchen. Dinner in less than 15 parsecs. [MOD] Retractible landing gear and functional boarding ramp for the MF

The millenium falcon, being such an iconic ship is a must have for any collector but it has always featured the same significant flaws: non retractable landing gear, useless boarding ramp (its not like the figs will actually get in there that way but you know ), and tiny flimsy little quad blasters, so here are my solutions to such issues: 25 by Nom Carver, en Flickr 26 by Nom Carver, en Flickr 20 by Nom Carver, en Flickr 21 by Nom Carver, en Flickr 22 by Nom Carver, en Flickr 23 by Nom Carver, en Flickr 24 by Nom Carver, en Flickr I can go deep into details if I see any interest, by the way, this is the 2004 one. -

I have never shared my version of the MF here. It has been no MOCpages for a while. Thought I would quickly share. It has been quite a process, given that it was completely destroyed (because it fell) and then restored. I also built a wall mount which can be seen on my MOCpages. Picture of the poor thing after it fell So sad! I guess the fully automated landing gear (pneumatics) did not help. Unlike cats, MFs do not land on all fours But alas, the model has been rebuilt and hung with a mount made out of LEGO Technic. This time with wall anchors :)
