  1. UH-46D Sea Knight US Navy (2) by [Maks], on Flickr Good morning. After 3,5 year hiatus I would like to present my newest creation. It's good ol' Boeing Vetrol helicopter, "the smaller Chinook", CH-46 Sea Knight. Here in UH (utility version) as used by US Navy in 60s and 70s. Here you can see the exact color scheme I tried to mimic: This model was almost entirely bulit during spring of 2017. But then DA came and I was unable to find time and motivation to buy some needed parts and finish it. But here it is, the big moment for this heli! [MOC] Messerschmitt Me 262

The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft. A historical documentary I saw on TV inspired me to build this aircraft in particular. It features retractable landing gear and just enough space to fit a minifig head inside the cockpit. The main colour of the fighter is Dark bluish gray while the underside of the plane is mostly done in Light bluish gray. by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr In order to retract the landing gear a small hatch has to be removed first and afterwards the landing gear has been retracted the hatch can be returned to it's position. by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr by legomanijak, on Flickr

    MOC: Archer Friends Army

To meet the increased military threat from Fabuland, and with the situation in Lego City escalating quickly, Heartlake City has decided to purchase the Archer artillery system to increase the defence capability of the Friends Army forces. "Nothing smells victory like burning white phosphorus stuck on the plastic of the enemy" -General Emma Archer the next-generation self-propelled gun, with barell exended to shell out peace and democracy. The "heart" of the system is a fully automated 115mm/L52 gun howitzer and a remote M151 Protector controlled weapon station (for any close encounters #metoo). All mounted on a modified 6x6 chassis of the Volvoo A30D, all-terrain articualated hauler painted in your favourite colour, The hauler features big rear mirrors for those pesky parallel parking situations when you need to stop quick for a ice cold strawberry vanilla sparkle milkshake. (Warning: Burning cities in rear view mirror may appear closer than they are.) Archer with friends, A reloading vehicle to extend the fun and a M1 Abrams for company..

    https://youtu.be/IOlRfN3idh4
  8. The Type 99 A2 MBT is an improved version of the Type 99 MBT designed and manufactured in China by the local defense industry. Main armament of the Type 99A2 consists of one 125mm smoothbore gun with a thermal sleeve and fume extractor. The turret is fitted with a carousel automatic loader located below the turret. Smoke grenade dischargers are fitted on each side at the front of the turret. The hull and turret are of all-welded steel armour. The tank has also an improved composite armor over the front of the hull and turret to provide a higher level of protection against anti-tank guided missiles and rockets. It has a new Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA) able to defeat new generation of tandem warhead of anti-tank missiles which is mounted at the front and along the sides of the turret. The same ERA armour is fitted at the front of the hull. The Type 99A2 is motorized with a 150HB turbo-charged diesel engine developing 1,500 hp. Standard equipment of the Type 99A2 includes an NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) protection system, fire detection and suppression system, global positioning system and snorkel for deep fording. The Type 99A2 MBT is fitted with the 1A45T Fire Control System, A JD-3 infra-red jammer is mounted at the base of the top of the barrel to jam Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) such as the Western HOT, TOW and MILAN. A laser jamming device is mounted on the turret roof. 9. The year is 2035. War rages across Europe and Asia. NATO is struggling to keep the peace. The Middle East is riddled with pockets of biological radiation. To deal with the challenges and hazards associated with the new breed of warfare, NATO updated their legendary M1A3 Abrams Main Battle Tank. The resulting armored vehicle was designated the M1A4 SEPV5. Upgrades include a new unmanned turret, vehicle defense package, and heavy weapons suite. The most prominent feature of the new turret is the pair of "rabbit ear" missile tubes. The missiles are based off of the Titan MRPL Compact from ArmA 3. Mounted all around the main chassis are Active Protection System grenade launchers and their infrared targeting cameras. The APS launches chaff/smoke grenades to confuse guided anti-tank missiles. The tank's cannon has been upgraded to a 120mm cannon with a rate of fire of about 15 rounds per minute. At the end of the barrel is the gunner's primary sight, with a muzzlebreak fitted to keep muzzle flash from interfering with the gunner's sight picture. The 7.62 coaxial machine gun has been replaced with a 12.7mm (50 Caliber) machine gun. The driver's hatch on this tank has been replaced with an aftermarket one, as the standard version does not have any periscopes fitted. It appears that the crew of this tank are fans of classic PC gaming. Looking at the rear of the tank, we see the rear mounted CROWS turret. This is an automated weapons system designed to protect the tank from rear attacks. It features a mounted M2 50 caliber machine gun, MAAWS anti-tank missile launcher, and two blocks of tear-gas launchers. The writing reads: How's My Driving? 1-800-Screw-You. The interior of the tank has been upgraded with more controls and sensor screens for the commander and gunner. Additional rounds for the MAAWS and boxes of 50 caliber Raufoss rounds can also be seen. Finally here we see the crew of the tank wielding their chosen weapons. From left to right, Gunner (H&K MP7 PDW), Driver (L22 Carbine), Commander (XMP PDW). Thanks for viewing. Comments and crits are appreciated and I'm always happy to answer additional questions.
  10. The C2 Ariete MBT has been developed at the end of Cold War, to replace Leopard 1 and M60. After an initial offer, Italy decided to achieve the development of a battle tank by financing its industries. The main armament of the C2 Ariete is a 120 mm smooth-bore cannon, which is able to fire APFSDS-T (Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot Tracer) and HEAT (High-Explosive Anti-Tank). The MRS (Muzzle Reference System) system is also present on the muzzle (on the end of the barrel). There are 8 GALIX launchers for 80 mm smoke bombs (4 per side of the turret) capable of firing FUM-B grenades which generate an effective smoke screen both in the visible and in the IR. The front and side armor of Ariete is made of steel and composite materials; the turret is built with the same technique as the hull and has, on top, additional armor to protect the crew from missiles with a high profile flight path. The C2 Ariete is equipped with the TURMS OG-I4 L3 system by Galilelo Avionica (periscopes, COSMO MP501, meteorological and ballistic sensors, gyroscopic device, MRS, coaxial auxiliary telescope). The Ariete is equipped with NBC system. It also has anemometer, RALM receiver, Radio antennas attached to digital radios of the SINCGARS type, PSO Additional Armor Pack, new 1600hp IVECO engine, Integration of SICCONA and an APS of type "SCUDO". 14. Introduction Time for another clone bricks review. No not the Star Wars™ soldiers. Today I am looking at a Chinese clone. Specifically the Kazi M1A2 Abrams main battle tank. While I have seen a few video reviews of it, I could not find any in-depth written reviews of this set. I aim to change that. Set Information Title: M1A2 Abrams Number: KY10000 Released: 2016? Part Count: 1463 Price: Varies Links: Amazon AliExpress Packaging My tank was shipped to me without a box. It took roughly 15 days to process and ship from China to Idaho, USA. The bags and instructions were tightly wrapped in bubble wrap to protect them during shipping. With the exception of the tracks and some larger pieces, all of the bags were numbered. I also received a small bonus sticker sheet, for some reason. There were two instruction booklets, one for the tank, and for for the all-terrain humvee (review coming soon). There is no DSS, as all of the details are printed parts. Instructions The instructions are clear with excellent parts differentiation and directions. Minifigures Five minifigures are included with the set. They are (from left to right): Militia Grenadier Militia AT (Anti-Tank) Gunner? Driver Commander? The Militia grenadier is armed with what appears to be a M32 MGL. The Militia AT is armed with a RPG-7. The gunner has a UMP 9mm with removable(!) suppressor. The driver and commander are unarmed. The figures only have front printing and good articulation. The M1A2 Abrams SEP It is a a very large tank coming in at 27cm long (35cm to tip of barrel), 10cm tall, and 14cm wide. Here it is compared to a Sluban/Oxford tank and the taxi from set 60233 Donut Shop Opening. It absolutely dwarfs the taxi with it's menacing size. The turret spins 360 degrees and the M256 120mm smoothbore gun moves up and down. The turret is also fitted with a small rod to represent the gunner's coaxial M240 machine gun (mounted beside the cannon). The side mounted smoke grenade launchers and commander's independent thermal viewer (the drum-thingy in front of the loader's hatch) are also present. The tank commander has access to a M2 Browning 50 Caliber machine gun while the loader has a LSAT caseless light machine gun mounted over his hatch. (A Brickarms M60 would have been a better choice for the loader's weapon). Unfortunately, the hatches are too small for minifigs to fit in. There are also 4 slightly larger-than-life ammunition boxes for the M2 machine gun mounted on the rear of the turret. The Coalition Identification Panels (the panels with black angles on them) and the battalion markings (F2 panels) are the only printed pieces in the set. Interior The driver's position is well detailed, but there is no way to easily remove/put in said figure without taking apart the front of the tank. The tank does not feature a turret basket, instead it has a space for two minifigures in the middle of the hull. The pair of white tiles are supposed to be data screens/controls. The minifigs can only fit if the are reclining backwards. A small rack of what appears to be SABOT anti-tank shells is also modeled. Behind this is the engine compartment. The gas turbine engine (similar to that of a jet) is well detailed and includes some minor details. I do not particularly like the inclusion of the transparent blue tile, as it seems to clash with the rest of the tank and feels out of place. The only way to open the top engine hatch is to remove the turret. The engine can also be accessed through a pair of doors on the rear of the tank, like the real thing. Exterior Looking at the bottom of the tank, the is no working suspension, even though it is modeled. The tracks roll very smoothly, but only on rough surfaces, like carpet or cloth. Having no suspension, the tank simply rides high over obstacles. How it should actually happen. Here we see a short scene following the crushing of the car. One of the road wheels is swapped for a new one by a repair team. Meanwhile the commander berates the driver for his reckless behavior that damaged the tank. A special forces team provides 360 degree protection throughout the whole process. Not wanting to interrupt the commander, the gunner chats with the leader of the special forces team. With the repairs done, the special forces team escorts the repair crew back to the forward operating base (FOB), while the tank returns to it's original mission. Destroyed Building Included with the set is a destroyed building, in which a pair of militia men have set up an ambush. The building has three floors and looks excellent. A stoplight(?) has been modeled as well as a barrel and signpost. Some TNT and a backpack are provided for the hostile soldiers to presumably use as a makeshift IED. Amusingly, the position of the soldiers will result in the grenadier being back-blasted by the RPG when it is fired. The building has some minor structural details that make it pop and look unique. Summary As far as tank sets are concerned, this set is amazing. It has tons of detail, plenty of playability, and overall good looks. The figures could be better, as well as some of the accessories provided. The mold quality of the parts is rather high, however one of my parts was melted. Do I like the tank? Heck yeah! It is bada** and looks great displayed on my shelf next to it's 1/16th scale brother produced by Tamiya. Would I recommend it? Definitely, as long as you can find it for a reasonable price. Pros Realistically detailed Well made Tons of playability Cons Lack of suspension Odd minifigures Melted piece Score How do I rate this set? Design - 8/10 Looks like the real thing and features plenty of realistic design details Building Experience - 5/10 Not too boring, but not very exciting either. Building the tracks was rather laborious, as expected. Features - 8/10 It has all of the functions that the real tank has and even includes multiple minifigures. Playability - 7/10 I had fun setting up the repair diorama and enjoyed rolling it back and forth when testing the tracks. Parts - 7/10 This set is a decent parts donor with a good variety of unique pieces and accessories Value for Money - Variable I got mine on sale for $35 with free shipping. Your experience may differ. 8/10 - A fantastic replica of the venerable M1A2 Main Battle Tank and good addition to any fighting force. Thank you for reading through my review. C&C are always appreciated and needed, as I am constantly working to improve my review and presentation skills. I leave you now with the view that many Republican Guard tank crews experienced during Operation Desert Storm.
  15. Broadside is one of my favorite triple changers ever since I set my eyes on his G1 toy photo decades ago. I had a chance to acquire Chinese KO version of him many years ago (bundled together with a few KO combiner limbs) but sadly missed out on it. So I never owned / played with this toy to understand his notoriety as a brick-former in the TF fandom. Anyway... 9 years ago I attempted LEGO Broadside version 1 (below) . VERSION 1 As you can see... the ship mode looks fat and the plane mode has saggy wings. duh! VERSION 2 Few months ago I started this v2 project after I saw a photo of Macross Valkyrie in my FB feed . That's an eureka moment where I kinda got the transformation to jet mode figured out. From there , I took a few breaks in between to retreat, rethink and redo it to get the right shaping in both his alt modes. Inspired by USS Nimitz, the back of the ship mode must be symmetrical to provide more mass to form robot legs, unlike an actual ship show above . Compared to v1, the ship mode v2 here is missing armaments on the deck. This is a nod to G1 Broadside's bio about "his vulnerability in ship mode and the need to rely on his passengers to protect him." USS Titanic is a Transformer too :) One of the transformation step: fold the ship deck to form the jet mode's rear. JET MODE Jet mode was inspired by F-14 Tomcat. Since the ship mode is long, this causes the halved deck to form pretty long wings for the jet. ROBOT MODE! In the actual G1 toy of Broadside, he's equipped with an Axe and also a gun. Here, I've decided to integrate them both as a single weapon (Axe turning to gun)... and it's named Hull-Raiser. :) When not on active duty, he tend to his farm and crops. With fellow triple changers that I built recently, Rodimus Prime and Snapdragon For more photos of Broadside v2 and clearer visuals on how he transform between modes , click on my blog link below: https://alanyuppie.blogspot.com/2019/08/lego-triple-changer-broadside-v2-part-2.html don't forget to follow me below! http://instagram.com/alanyuppie78 https://www.facebook.com/alanyuppiebrick https://www.youtube.com/user/alanyuppie
  16. Hello all, It has been a few years since I've posted on here, and I thought I might celebrate my return from the Dark Ages with a review, or two. This review is mainly pointed towards individuals looking to increase their armies, without spending a whole lot of cash. I found this set on Ali-express for $5 USD. It consists of twelve (12) minifigures kitted out with a variety of weapons and gear. It took about 10 days for the set to arrive through E-Packet and then USPS. Each figure was individually wrapped and the weapons were still on their sprues in a separate bag. The guns appear to be clones of official Brickarms weapons. Each figure has detailed front printing and comes with some variation of helmet or headgear. All of the figures have realistic skin tones. Here is the full group as geared in the store pictures. I re-kitted them out as a few different groups. First up is a 5 man SAS team with custom HK23E and L22 weapons. Next is a shotgun group. The last 3 were geared up to match the CIA hit squad that shot up the house of Bruce Willis's character in the action movie Red. Overall, the set is of high quality and does not match the common stereotype of low quality knock-offs produced in China. I would highly recommend this set to those who wish to increase the size of their armies, while still paying a low price. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Ryn Labrie
  17. Yes! this my 3rd rendition of LEGO Snapdragon since the very first one made I about 15 years ago (when I first rekindled my passion with LEGO as an adult) VERSION 1 (2004) Back then most of the parts I used came from LEGO sets so I just make do with whatever colors I had. More photos here: Snap Dragon: A LEGO® creation by Yap Alan : MOCpages.com VERSION 2 (2012) Leaps and bound improvement over v1. I was pretty satisfied with the outcome then. I even cloned 2 extra copies of this creation to be displayed in a LEGO exhibition in 2015 .. so visitors can see all 3 modes More photos here: Fall of Cybertron Snapdragon Triple Changer: A LEGO® creation by Yap Alan : MOCpages.com On retrospect, I found version 2 to be pretty dated now with a few design glitch > like protruding robot head on the jet undercarriage > weak jet nosecone design that tend to detach easily > shoulders too wide (think "ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime") > robot back kibble jutting out at a weird angle. VERSION 3 (2019) What meant to be a quick 1 week project , dragged on to about 2 weeks: My overzealousness got the better of me. Part of the long list of to-fix's: > Every nooks and corners were rebuilt to strengthen weak hinges > Rounder/more cylindrical arms. > Nosecone-kibble tucked in more neatly to the robot's back. > beast head too funny-looking. off with the buck teeth! > narrower shoulders. ..and of coz... a color scheme closer to his G1 toy version. more photos here: Alanyuppie's LEGO Transformers: LEGO Triple Changer Snapdragon version 3 Alan Yap (@alanyuppie78) • Instagram photos and videos Alanyuppie's Brick Adventures Alan Yap's LEGO Transformers
  18. Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, BEHOLD: The Mighty MAZ 7310 Uragan Cargo Truck, in LEGO! This massive set, which I have designed over the course of two years, stands almost ten inches tall, two feet long, and is comprised of almost 7,000 pieces. I sat at my computer for hours a day, sometimes, surfing the web, looking at blueprints, building, deleting, building some more, etc. And now, finally, I can reveal my masterpiece to the world! Bwa-ha-ha! Okay, anyway, I have designed my set for maximum playability, stuffing it full of all sorts of awesome goodies, like opening hood, doors, tailgate, and utility boxes. A removable roof, folding rear seats, free-spinning wheels (including the steering wheel), two Diesel engine options, a generator, compressor, radiator, Master Mechanic's Toolkit, fuel and water drums, 12v batteries, large cargo container, winch, wide-load flags, roof racks, warning beacon, fog lights, two sets of mirrors, lightbars, and more! (Whew! I'm out of breath!) Now, for the real machine: The MAZ 7310 (Minsk Automobile Plant, in Russian), was a large 8-wheeled Missile Transport truck built in the 1950s and 60s. Soon after, people started using them as cargo trucks, tankers, tow trucks, and airport fire trucks. Alright, that's it! Thank you all for looking at my LEGO creation! If you have any questions, comment, I'll do my best to respond ASAP. Happy building and have a great day! Update: Also, some of you may have noticed that the cab of the real vehicle is slightly longer. This is true, I had to shorten the LEGO version out of necessity, as the extra length could’ve affected my MOC’s stability and structural integrity. I suppose I could probably figure it out eventually, but I like it how it is. Thanks for understanding!
  19. About this LEGO Creation This took me about 2 weeks to complete.. with large part of the time without a confirmed color scheme (I usually prototyped with random colored LEGO parts) . I initially thought dark gray would be nice.. then changed my mind by week 2. Robot Mode Hero's landing Here's the twist! yet another tankhead mode from his robot mode. 20. Merkava MK4 M is a Merkava Mark IV equipped with the Trophy active protection system (APS). It detect the location that the projectile came from. It can transmit the coordinates to nearby ground and air units through the Tzayad battlefield management system. It has removable modular armor, from the Merkava Mark IIID, is used on all sides, including the top and a V-shaped belly armor pack for the underside. This modular system is designed to allow for damaged tanks to be rapidly repaired and returned to the field. Because rear armor is thinner, chains with iron balls are attached in order to detonate projectiles before they hit the main armored hull. Some features, such as hull shaping, exterior non-reflective paints (radar cross-section reduction), and shielding for engine heat plumes mixing with air particles (reduced infrared signature) to confuse enemy thermal imagers, were carried over from the IAI Lavi program of the Israeli Air Force to make the tank harder to spot by heat sensors and radar. The Mark IV includes the larger 120 mm main gun of the previous versions, but can fire a wider variety of ammunition, including HEAT and sabot rounds like the APFSDS kinetic energy penetrator, using an electrical semi-automatic revolving magazine for 10 rounds. It also includes a much larger 12.7 mm machine gun for anti-vehicle operations. The Mark IV has the Israeli-designed "TSAWS (Tracks, Springs, and Wheels System)". The model has a new fire-control system, the El-Op Knight Mark 4. It has an Amcoram LWS-2 laser warning receiver, it also has The tank carries the Israeli Elbit Systems BMS (Battle Management System). 21. The K2 is a South Korean main battle tank. Developed as modern main battle tank that will replace most of the remaining M48 Patton tanks and complement the K1 series. The K2 Black Panther combines an auto-loaded 55 calibre 120 mm main gun, advanced composite armour along with hard and soft-kill active protection systems. The K2 is equipped with an advanced fire-control system (FCS) linked to an Extremely High Frequency radar system deployed on the frontal arc of the turret, along with a traditional laser rangefinder and crosswind sensor. The system is capable of a "lock-on" mode, which can acquire and track specific targets up to a range of 9.8 km (6.1 mi) using a thermographic camera. This allows the crew to fire accurately while moving as well as engage low-flying aircraft. The Korean Gunner's Primary Sight (KGPS) and the Korean Commander's Panoramic Sight (KCPS) are present in the Black Panther. The Korean Smart Top-Attack Munition (KSTAM) is a fire-and-forget, top-attack anti-tank munition. The K2 Tank has Visual and Infrared Screening Smoke (VIRSS) grenadesRadar Warning Receiver (RWR) and radar jammer. Four all-bearing Laser warning receivers (LWR) are also present to alert the crew should the vehicle become "painted", and the computer can also deploy VIRSS grenades towards the direction of the beam. The K2 houses the following features which help to improve situational awareness for the crew.
