I built this model as a prize for the 16th Colossal Castle Contest, which just started recently. As the name implies, it is a model of Rivendell from Lord of the Rings. Since I had already built a scene named Rivendell, I used its alternate name this time. Unlike my last Rivendell build, I didn’t base this directly off any source material. Hi everyone This is the first time I've posted a MOC in the train forum and although these models are not trains, they are still locomotives of a sort and I thought this would appeal to train and especially steam fans. "Miniature Steam Machines" is my collection of 3 steam engines designed at a small scale. I set myself a challenge to see if I could build these little engines using a very limited amount of bricks but still maintaining a decent level of detail. They are all very small. The biggest of the 3 models only contains 128 bricks. Traction Engine The Traction Engine is the smallest of the 3 models and only uses 82 bricks. The basic structure of this model forms the basis for all three models and this one in particular is intended to represent a miniature version of my LEGO IDEAS project, The Old Workhorse - Traction Engine. Steam Roller The second model is a steam roller and this one is made from 109 bricks. Showman's Engine The third model is a Showman's Engine. This model is the biggest of the 3 and contains 128 bricks. I designed these mini models to act as a sort of side project and to help promote my LEGO IDEAS model called "The Old Workhorse - Traction Engine". This a much bigger and more detailed model. [MOC] The Hungarian Parliament in 1:650 Scale

For the Architecture Faves contest on LEGO Rebrick, I have built the Hungarian Parliament building in Budapest. It is a building I have built many times at a smaller scale, but this time I decided to build it in 1:650 scale to focus on the many details that this building offers. Constructed in 1896 and finished in 1904, the Parliament building is Budapest's most visited landmark, and Hungary's most iconic building. The architecture is an indicator of Hungary's numerous artistic and aesthetic influences from all corners of Europe. The majority of the building utilizes gothic revival style influenced by the cathedrals of Western Europe, which is shown in the arches, columns, and spires. The iconic red dome and the rooftops are influenced by renaissance revival style, which is a staple of architecture in Southern Europe, which has had a large influence on Hungary's history. The building sits on the Eastern embankment of the the Danube river (or the Pest side) and can be viewed from the other side and the many hills that are on the Buda side, which make up almost half the city. Being the tallest building in the city (along with St. Stephen's cathedral, both at 96 meters tall), the red dome of the Parliament can be seen from very far away. The side of the Parliament facing away from the river is Kossúth Lajos square, with a plaza, fields with trees and flowers, and two monuments. Being in 1:650 scale, the model (with the base) is 59 studs wide, 55 studs long, and 23 studs or 20 stacked bricks tall. That's 47cm wide, 44cm long, and 19cm tall. Being a medium-sized model, it still consists of over 5000 bricks. My goal is to build Budapest's other landmarks in this scale, and also connect them by building parts of central Budapest. I want to be more active on other forums besides Flickr this summer too. Late January, brickset launched a competition for the 60th anniversary of the Lego brick. I initially didn't plan on entering, but, having built two tiny construction vehicles during the same period, I decided to finally try something when I saw they posted a reminder, a bit over a week before the end. So I had a bit more than a week to build something. I chose the Caterham because : -It hadn't been done before at this scale -It's an excellent set, and therefore a good example of what can be achieved with Lego bricks -I thought this part would be perfect for the hood However, I quickly scrapped the idea of using a CCBS shell for the hood, I couldn't integrate it properly in the rest of the MOC. After that, I've spent days and days rebuilding the car to get accurate proportions (at one point, it looked like this - the front was clearly too wide), almost until the very end. The most difficult part was to find a way to connect the two fender parts together (which I haven't been able to do, actually). In the end, the MOC looks like this : There are a lot of fragile connections, and because of that, I wasn't expecting to win at all... but I did. Some people were even interested in building their own copy of the MOC, which is now possible thanks to @DanSto, who created building instructions of the MOC. [MOC] Lake Forest College - Young Hall 1:350

I present to you the main academic building at Lake Forest College, in Lake Forest, IL, USA, built and rendered with stud.io Building this in 1:350 scale was tough because it's hard to capture all the shapes and details at such a small size. I used bricks in existing colors in hopes of one day physically building it, and also incorporated very complicated techniques that I never knew I could even attempt. The inside is a mess of supporting the outside, and I made sure it is stable enough but in digital form, who really knows? All things considered, I'm very proud of this, and looks just like the real thing. There are more shots in the flickr gallery and I can make more on request. -

Game Of Thrones - Westeros Architecture Skyline [MOC]

This is my creation of Westeros where the epic fantasy saga “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R. R. Martin and the HBO show “Game Of Thrones” mainly take place. The project fits in the Architecture Skyline theme. Hello folks, It's me again, this time around with a WH40K-inspired digital creation that I built for a contest of... balconies. It's a strange world, but you just have to keep building. No accuracy intended here, just general inspiration as far as architecture goes, whilst the figure strays even further off the path. But hey, the scale dictated my options... Dear Everyone! 2018 will be the year of anniversaries in the life of LEGO. One of them is the introduction of the LEGO brick itself! For this occasion, this Advent Calendar presents you 24 microscale versions of the most iconic sets ever released! Hopefully, the yearspan and the choice of themes will be diverse enough. I had no idea that LEGO will release a 60th anniversary set with microscale models, but mine will be even smaller, the size of a normal LEGO Advent Calendar window. This was built for a college assignment, where we had to make some sort of visual art. Of course I chose to do something with LEGO, and used it as an opportunity to recreate Chartres Cathedral. The Abbey of St. Piat was not included in my rendition. It took 16 hours to complete, and weighs 4.6 pounds. This is my first cathedral, and it was quite a fun project. Let me introduce you to my new creation. PLAYING IN SPACE SINCE 1978 by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr Have you ever wondered how our Spacemen Heroes could travel for almost 40 years through space without getting older or bored to death? Here’s your answer. For forty years our heroes have been playing with LEGO bricks! I was reorganizing some minifigs when I found a spaceman that I used to play with when I was a child, having him live the most amazing adventures. And I started wondering “He’ll be 40 in a little while, what’s his secret?” So, I imagined him, together with all his travelling companions, playing with a LEGO Space base for forty years. Maybe it’s true that playing with LEGO bricks keeps you young. What do you think about it? Do you find it new? Interesting? Creative? I had never seen something like this before and it's one of the reasons I've launched the project on LEGO Ideas. Another one is to see our beloved Classic Space minifig come back, or, why not, maybe even a few themed sets could come back. This project could act as a springboard. Hi, I would like to show you my moc of the WDW Cinderella Castle. Original LEGO one is too big to store in my house and I stumbled upon this wonderful creation [MOC] Cinderella Castle from which I got more than an inspiration, but this was still too much for me in difficulty, price and dimensions. So I compressed everything in a 12x12 baseplate but i think I still managed to capture the magic of the castle. I hope to add some better photos as soon as possible, my idea is to put it inside an IKEA HÄRLIGA glass case like this other creation , i created it to fit inside (but still couldn't manage to buy one to check if the side tower fits ). It was my entry on LEGO Rebrick's Micro Modular Madness contest. This house includes a LEGO Brand Store with product booth, cash desk, shelves and a Pick-a-Brick wall (custom stickers, could have better quality). At upper floors, there is a flat with a large balcony. The floors are easily detachable, just like in the large modular house sets, because hey, this tiny creation is a mini modular building! Althought I didn't win anything at the contest, I've really enjoyed the making of this tiny model; it is my very first microscale building. A minifigure-scale version is in process. I'm happy to read your thoughts. :)
