    TT-1 MECH

This is my attempt on Mech machine inspired by all the game and sci-fi action movies. It is the assasin walker - TT-1. Piloted by no other than the famous Boba Fett Prototype. The challege of this mech is to make the foundation strong enough to support the heavy, rotatable torso. The armors can be adjusted for firing enemies from all directions. When it is in its turbo mode, the back panel plates flip up for better resistance. Hope you will like it. Please follow my flickr account : Ivan Bricklim for more MOC. Thanx! https://www.flickr.c.../119955216@N06/ http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah70/Ivan_BrickLim/front%20profile_edited_zpsu09nemlr.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah70/Ivan_BrickLim/angle1_edited_zpsxaic14u1.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah70/Ivan_BrickLim/angle4_edited_zpsqy1i6fr2.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah70/Ivan_BrickLim/legs_edited_zps9inutckr.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah70/Ivan_BrickLim/side_edited_zpsaeflglol.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah70/Ivan_BrickLim/angle2%20edited_zpsssjm3myx.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah70/Ivan_BrickLim/charge_edited_zpsi4lryqql.jpg

    Nilkuu's Stone-Type

In order to fight the impending darkness, the Protectors of Okoto harness the powers of space and time to bring forth mighty, fighting machines to their once peaceful island. Nilkuu claims the Stone-Type, naming him Pohatu. Pohatu is made from a strong, lightweight alloy that not only makes him fast, but also well protected against enemies and the harsh desert environment. He also wields two high-powered rifles that can fire great distances and reduce its targets to rubble. Thanks to these abilities, when paired with Pohatu, Nilkuu can come across as somewhat of a loner and over confident in his abilities. But he's not completely invincible. His weapons require a clean line of sight, which is often impeded during the night or in dark areas. No shading and no highly-detailed Nilkuu because I'm laaazzzyyy!

[M-D04] Sand, Sand, and More Sand

Open Log #89.752 Shortly after I got picked up from Sorn, I got sent down to Terrial Minor. I sent MHD-72 here a few weeks ago, but I haven't been here in a while. This time i basically got sent in a mech to go find the facility MHD-72 was last at. And of course there was a sandstorm so I had to use the mech instead of something that flies. Sand is pretty annoying. And I have a long way to go. Pangolinus Signing AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! *Silence* End Log The slightly weaponized version of the mech. C&C Welcome!

    [MicroMOC] The Planewalker

The Planewalker With their razor-sharp claws and alarming alacrity, the Wun’Tux are formidable enough opponents without augmentation. Their armoured Planewalkers only serve to make them more ferocious and intimidating. The Planewalkers look ungainly and awkward at first glance. Their odd angles and forward tilt give the impression the machine might tumble forward at any moment. But the Wun’Tux engineers are far from careless; the poise is maintained by a unique system of gyroscope-like devices, the centre of gravity so easily manipulated as to give the Planewalker a shocking straight-line speed. The ‘walkers are typically used to defend valuable locations (e.g. durillium mines) and to assault hardened enemy targets; the Wun’Tux are aware of the terror the sight of one can spark, however, and are not shy in using them to keep unruly slavesin line. BroodTribes are not shy of using the armour against other Wun’Tux, either; the ‘walkers often feature in the frequent bouts of Wun’Tux infighting. Planewalkers are usually piloted by the second-born of a brood; it is a position of respect and relative protection compared to third-born and below who tend to be deployed as foot soldiers. These walker pilots are talented but prone to arrogance and overestimation of their skills. Their ‘Shredder’ cannons inflict devastating damage on organic and lightly armoured targets, especially at short range. Their thick armour enables them to survive sustained exposure on the front lines. Their main vulnerability is from the air, although airborne attackers have their best chance of hitting a Planewalker if it is standing still; they are difficult targets when moving at full speed. The USEFpurposefully struck at defending walkers from orbit in preparation for the battle at Dronta VIII. The ‘Voidrunners’ (a group of ex-slaves involved in a guerilla war against the reptiles) have a way of disabling the gyro-stabilisers with a well-placed Improvised Explosive Device. This causes the ‘walker to malfunction, lose balance and often come crashing to the ground. This method, to the relief of Wun’Tux everywhere, not widely known. It is against Planewalkers that the Blackmane X-MM made its name; within the tight confines or an urban sprawl, the humanmechs were able to evade the Wun’Tux’s shredder cannons and close in for the kill. This remains one of the rare occasions on which Planewalkers were bested by another mech. 6. I think I should have updated my earlier topic but I am still waiting for head suggestions, meanwhile this guys turned out quite well with the new head, custom colors and guns, I hope you like them and would be more than happy to see some of this guys popping around in someone else's MOC's. "The Sentinel combat drone has been developed by The Targus Engineering Enterprise under the request of the Terran government to fill a wide variety of roles; it has been designed to be large enough to carry thick armor plating and highly efficient power cells while still being smaller than regular combat drones or mech suits so it doesn't become an easy target for heavy turrets or artillery, it's also equipped with boosters for fast deployment on space or ship combat/defence and can be equipped with multiple other weapons and gear for more specific roles, its size makes it very agile and fast in comparison to other similar hardware and is considerably accessible. Without a doubt this will be the next step in mechanized warfare against alien invaders or rebellious colonies in outer space..." 7. I am asking for your help to design a smallish head for this little mech, it turned out pretty well but I am not satisfied with the head, I need it to be around 2x2x2 studs and 1.5 or so, a minifig head gear hat or helmet fits just fine for the scale but it doesn't fit with the stile I am looking for, I would like it to be either a single "eye" or something that resembles the face of the classical optimus prime, any ideas? 8. Get set for the ultimate Mech Battle as Zane’s Titan Mech takes on Blade Master Bansha’s Ghost mech – Mech-enstein! Place Zane in the cockpit and adjust the arms and legs and rotating torso for awesome battle poses. Fire the stud shooters and dodge the massive swords of the 4-armed Mech-enstein. Then take the action to the air with the rocket-booster backpack! Give Zane support with Jay and Nya, firing the spring-loaded hook shooter to try and topple the Ghost mech. Use all the cool Ninja weapons to stop Scythe Master Ghoultar getting into the Samurai X Cave and stealing the Aeroblade! Includes 5 minifigures with assorted weapon and accessory elements: Zane, Jay, Nya, Scythe Master Ghoultar and Blade Master Bansha. When I first heard of this set, I was very interested. When I first saw the set, I knew I'd be buying it. And so here we go, one brand new Ninjago review. Did it turn out to be everything I hoped for? Read on to find out! Set Name : Titan Mech Battle Set Number : 70737 Piece count : 754 Price : £39.99 Figures : 5 Front of Box. It does seem like a large box for a £40 set, but I guess it needs the width to show off the artwork. Back of Box. We get a couple of panels showing another battle image, a few images of the characters included, plus notifying you of which Aeroblade you get, and that there are others to collect. Top of Box. We see the five characters that we get in the set, plus one of the little Screemers, and the 1:1 scale image using Zane to convey the size. What you get inside. Two instruction books, two sticker sheets (one for each mech) and six bags. Bag one builds the little rock outcrop and missile shooting platform. Bags two and three make up Zane's Titan Mech (which also appears to be named Zane 2.0) and bags four, five and six make up Mech-enstein (yes thats the official name) (As a change from what I've done with previous reviews, I'm going to post the parts selections for each bag and their subsequent leftovers, and leave the reveal pictures for after) Parts selection from bag one. Leftover pieces from bag one. Parts selection from bag two. Leftover pieces from bag two. Parts selection from bag three. Leftover pieces from bag three. (Little worried about the 1x1 brick in white but after double-checking the instructions it's definitely not missing from the build) Parts selection from bag four. Leftover pieces from bag four. Parts selection from bag five. Leftover pieces from bag five. Parts selection from bag six. No leftover pieces from this bag, which was a nice surprise. So with the build complete, and the weather being very agreeable, I haphazardly carried it all outside for some better photo options. First up is this little rocky build which holds the Aeroblade. Lego label this as part of the Samurai X cave. Nothing major to note here, it does it's job for the story element of the set. Second is the little turret with the spring loaded missile. A little bit of back up for Zane, most likely included due to the slightly less imposing look of the Titan Mech to Mech-enstein. Samurai X. No major changes to her outfit that I can see, and comes with double face as standard. Jay. Once again we have a new outfit for the second half. He comes with a single sided face. Zane. Everyone's favourite nindroid is backing sporting the same new style costume as his fellow ninja Jay. He retains his double-sided face from the first half year sets. Skreemer. This little ghoul appears in multiple sets, and seems to be the grunt of the ghoulish baddies. These can be attached to a figure's head, I'm guessing to represent them being possessed. Scythe Master Ghoultar. (A pain in the behind to balance on his ghostly lower half) The obvious opposition for Jay and Nya to fend off. Blade Master Bansha. The driver of the Mech-enstein. The Titan Mech. I'm happy to say that it's every bit as good as I hoped it would be. The thing I like the most about this is the fact that it still looks darn awesome without a pilot. A couple of plates to fill the gap and you're good to go. The other thing that also attracted me to it is, weirdly, the legs. I can never MOC the legs of a mech to the pontiff me liking it, and yet theres such a simple build to them yet they look so good! I've been disheartened recently with the lack of any knees on the mech's that Lego have released recently, but with this it doesn't affect it at all, the model is still very posable. The blades on the arms of the mech are a nice touch, and the fact the designer placed them facing in opposite directions is a nice change, and stops the model looking too symmetrical. Mech-enstein. One of the largest vehicles in the ghoul arsenal, it's definitely an imposing beast. Think how General Greivous would look if he were in the world of Ninjago and was a dribble mech, and this is what you'd get. Four arms with massive sword blades, fierce claws, lots of ghoulish green and a creepy spider for good measure. Alas, there is one problem... There is hardly any movement in the ankles. The brown slope and spoiler piece limit the possibility to almost nothing. It suffers in the same kind of ways that Emmet's Constructo Mech did. Removing the spoiler helps with lending forward, but the brown slope piece is integral, and would need replacing with a 2x2 rather than the 2x3 used. Other than that, this set is perfect. Zane only appears in his normal ninja outfit in this set, but all the other figures show up in other sets with no change to their printings. I think one of the other major drawing points of this set is its PPP (price per piece). If my calculations are correct, then this set comes in at a pretty amazing £0.05 per piece. I know that it's not a licensed theme etc, but its still very good value considering the large amount of white and new coloured pieces included. I would go as far to say that this set is the highlight of not just the second half year sets, but for all of 2015 Ninjago. I hope you all enjoyed reading my review, and you're welcome to add any extras to the review if you wish. Some extra pictures can be found on my flickr at : https://flic.kr/s/aHskeEgJ6L
  9. Greetings, this is my first moc posted on Eurobricks. Here I was experimenting mainly with getting good camera pictures with lighting and extra. Sorry they are are vertically taken, didn't think about that till seeing it now. Thoughtful criticism is appreciated since I'm still trying to get the picture taking and mocing process down.
  10. So today at Foyles there was gonna be a Friends building event held by Tim Johnson of New Elementary fame, but at the last minute it was cancelled due to Tim not being able to make it there. Instead of the full event going ahead without Tim, they refunded all the tickets and put up a little pop-up building zone on the ground floor, which me and my mum stumbled across whilst trying to rebook the tickets from todays event to another building event happening on the 23rd. The small area snuggled in the children's section was being run by Mark, who I knew well from Hamleys and had actually told me about the event in the first place (thanks Mark! ). Even though the event was supposed to be generally Friends-themed (they gave us free minidolls), the majority of the pieces were Ninjago-themed, which sorta made sense since there was a ninjago event a week ago. Anyways, I got to work building, and came up with this winged-friends-mech-thing. And because there weren't many people around building and Mark really liked what I did, he let me keep my model. Which was nice. So yeah, I did this. Enjoy? (cat to scale)

    Mid-Sized Mecha Frame Help

I'd like to have another go at building a Gundam - the more I look at my previous attempt, the more I grow dissatisfied with the proportions and poseability, especially since now I have the actual official model kit that looks like this: The biggest issue with my model (apart from looks) was the joints. I relied mostly on ball joints and the classic click hinges which meant that the ankles were prone to letting it fall over and the knees couldn't bend more than one click before they locked up, and the arms were mostly totally unposeable. Therefore, the issue relied mostly on the frame - except I never had a unified frame to begin with. If you'd like to see the mess I made of the design, you can find the LDD file on this page. For this build I've been looking for a mech frame that's similar in scale but is an actual proper frame rather than some weird unibody thing. The appropriate scale for this sort of build, I'm told, is anywhere between 9-12 minifigures tall (depending on if your minifigures are 5 or 6 feet tall, respectively). In LDD my Gundam is almost exactly 9 figures tall, so I am okay with another build in that scale. For joints, I would like to make use of ball joints again but replace the knee and elbow joints with the 44224 and 44225 pieces, and do something about the hip joints. To this end, I've been searching for a frame that I can build but haven't been able to dig much of anything up. To summarize: I need help in finding a mid-scale mech frame that uses the strong Technic Rotation Disc Joints and ball joints for maximum strength and poseability, but haven't had much luck in finding anything reproducible (picture quality from 2006 isn't nearly good enough for me to make out much of anything). Does anyone have any sort of resources or frames that they use regularly to help them with their mecha builds, and if so, would you be willing to share them here? Thanks in advance - I'm pretty sure this sort of thing is the Holy Grail of mech builders!

  15. [K - B05] The Investigation Continues... Okay, so, somewhere in the creation process, I lost around 3 hours of work, so the scene ended up quite differently from my original idea. However, I'm very satisfied with the result (I've been wanting to build this particular mech (which is also my first), for quite some time now). The build is around 6500 pieces, of which the mech is around 800. I had some trouble uploading the pictures, but the build was still posted before the 10:00 GMT deadline. --//Alpha Level Encrypted Private Log Begin. Date: 0607(38)15. Question: Heavy gear mech

Is it possible to make a heavy gear mech that can fit a minifig and also is in scale with the minifig? in other words just like it would be 15 feet in real life compared to a human could the lego version be like only 2 or maybe 3 minifig tall? The closest I ever got was this:

"No, but I think you'll like it anyway..." "Wow, she's a beaut Doc. What do you call her?" "The Octan Octonaut! The most advanced Awesomnium prospecting vehicle ever designed, if I do say so myself. And with the 8-legged ambulatory system, she's stable on any terrain. Just try not to leave her in the bottom of a sinkhole this time, eh?" For once, the Doc was as good as his word.
