Super Heroes Advent Calendar

Hey guys! I just saw pictures of the new Lego Star Wars advent calendar and I'm still thinking why TLG doesn't release a super hero one as well. What are your thoughts?

[MOC] Star Lord CubeDude

Hello all! This is my latest MOC, a CubeDude of StarLord from the Guardians Of The Galaxy. The CubeDude design is of course based upon Angus Maclane's Cube Dudes: https://www.flickr.c...s/27826007@N05/ Now, onto the MOC itself; Front view Side view, with a better look at the blasters Hope you liked it, I may do the other Guardians of the Galaxy members soon, if people like this enough. Thanks for looking at my MOC, any comments and constructive criticism are welcome.
7. *PLEASE READ* This is a thread for educated guesses on possible Marvel sets in 2015. Please do not make random guesses or type down what YOU want rather than what is likely to be made. Remember simple things like usual set price points and number of figs per price point. No $20 sets with more than 3 minifigs or ridiculous expectations for sets with low piece counts (Ex: a $50 Helicarrier or $20 Quinjet). That being said, I've made a list of Age of Ultron sets based on set photos and film rumors $13 set- Comes with Iron Man mk 42 (new version), 2x Ultron drones. probably a set piece and/or a vehicle $20 set- Based on set photos I think this set will have Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Hawkeye (trenchcoat). It will probably have a vehicle for Hawkeye and some destroyed cars/scenery $30-40 set- Comes with Ultron (I believe there are 3 forms so this will probably be the 2nd), Thor, Captain America, Ultron Drone. This will probably be a smaller, sleaker Quinjet. $50 set- Strucker's base from the beginning of the movie. It will have Hulk, Iron man (in a brick built Hulk Buster), Black Widow (she is dating Hulk so it's a good fit), Scarlet Witch (controlling Hulk), and Strucker. It will include Loki's staff and maybe a chitauri head in a jar. $80 set- Final battle. Last form Ultron, mk 43 Iron Man, The vision, Quicksilver, Cap, Scarlet Witch. What do you guys think? Did I miss any figs? What about non-AOU sets?
8. We should do a topic like last year. Dc and marvel mixed.
9. In an alternate universe where TMNT and Avengers are the same thing, a new team of heroes has been assembled: The Teenage Mutant Avenger Turtles! Known as the Turtlevengers, they fight against crime, alien invaders, and all kinds of sci-fi threats. TMAT by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Here is the main team of superheroes in a half shell. Captain Leonardo is the leader in (red, white, and) blue and does anything to get his avengers through. Donnie Stark has a way with machines, so he created a high-tech, full-body "shell" for himself. The Incredible Raph tends to loose his temper and mutates into a big green(er) rage monster. Michel-Thorgelo is one of a kind. He loves the food and entertainment that the human world has to offer and he always goes into battle swinging his weapon around and shouting his catchphrase. Turtlevengers Assemble! by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr These are the friends of the Turtlevengers. Hamato Fury, aka. Splinter is the dark-skinned man who created the Turtlevengers. He is also the one who trained April Romanov, the red-haired friend of the Turtlevengers, and Casey Barton, who has a relationship with April and whose weapon of choice is sports equipment. TMAT Allies by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Oroku Loki, aka. the Shredder is the Turtlevengers' arch enemy and likes to wear a pointy helmet, a cape, and pointy weapons. He leads an army of Kraangtauri, an alien race of generic soldiers in shiny armor who entered this world through a portal, in a quest to conquer the world. TMAT Villains by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr I hope you enjoyed this little crossover.

My Iron Man Hulkbuster

The CUUSOO project for this build is now up. You can support my project clicking this link: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/53350. I’m a huge fan of the Iron Man Hulkbuster armor and when I started to collect Iron Man minifigures I’ve decided to create one to add to the armory. My first attempt to create a Hulkbuster armor that can be piloted by an Iron Man minifigure is when I got my hands on a Kai’s Fire Mech set from the LEGO Ninjago line. As you can see in the first picture I only modified the hands and ditched the gun right hand design. I was already happy with what I came up with but I was not satisfied with my final design. After looking at the other Hulkbuster builds from other LEGO enthusiasts in different forums I’ve decided to rebuild the armor, this time using an additional Fire Mech set and parts from the Iron Man Ultrabuild set. My challenge now is to create a sleek Hulkbuster Iron Man build using only parts from these 3 sets (2 x Fire Mech, 1 x Iron Man Ultrabuild). Thanks to the additional parts from the Fire Mech the minifigure is now fully enclosed except for the head. I'm also quite happy that I was able to add more design elements thanks to the Ultrabuild's chest armor and the curved blocks and vents from the mech sets. The reasons for me not adding more parts are: 1. I want to keep the costs to a minimum (cheaper to produce and at the same time more (again, budget friendly to consumers) 2. I really want a design that doesn’t tower too much from the minifigures. 3. I want to use parts that are already available to the market (again, cheaper to reproduce. No need to create new blocks). Please support this CUUSOO project if you want this set to be produced by LEGO. This set would look great next to your Iron Man minifigures. For my next project I'm thinking of building an armor for Captain America or War Machine just for the fun of it. It may not be comic book canon but I just want to see a mech with integrated designs from the Captain America Ultrabuild.

Custom Xmen

Ive found some spare lego figs and Ive brought the 2 xmen sets out at the moment, but over them you only get a hand full of mutants. I know I can buy custom ones via online auctions places, but they are abit pricey so Ive decided to make my own figures of characters I dont think they will bring out. Im doing; Harada Mariko Yukio Silver Samurai Warpath Blink Viper Also brought a Lex Luthor fig so that can be Prof X. using an invisi block and a grey chair. Anyone got any tips for using paint on lego? I might put pics up if im able to, but, im not an expert painter and Id say im quite bad so. So they may suck. Ive done Yukio's sword (Basing the fig from the wolverine) which im almost happy with. If anyones interested, drop a message in :)

15. Hi. I live in a part of Canada where the nearest Lego store is hours away. I usually buy Lego from Toys R Us or Walmart. I have been anticipating the release of the GoG sets for a couple of months, just like everybody else, but I'm having a hard time getting concrete info about when I can expect to see them in stores. Some stuff here comes later. I checked out a Lego Store recently in London and they had a lot of stuff that I've never seen in Canada, mostly Lego Movie sets and new Mixels (series 2?). I am guessing we may get things here a little behind everywhere else. Can anyone shed some insight into this?
16. Hey guys, As a massive marvel fan and motorbike fan I am naturally in love with the original spirit of vengeance from ghost rider 1. I have always planned to make the bike as a MOC but never got round to it. However with the release of the agents flame headpiece and with inspiration from ACpins fantastic creation I finally got round to it. Initially I had planned to go with something very similar to ACpins however i found that a tad large, So starting from scratch here's the result. The grievous head is sadly in bad condition as i got it in a trade many years ago. The ghost rider by Legocollecter123, on Flickr The ghost rider by Legocollecter123, on Flickr The ghost rider by Legocollecter123, on Flickr I have probably broken every legal lego part connection in the book but please let me know what you think anyway. Thanks
17. I thought I'd make a thread here for some custom superheroes I made with dyed hair pieces, which stops me posting them over in the Purist thread. The lack of certain hair pieces in particular colours can really limit the creation of certain characters so I have been obsessing over way to get hold of them since I started customising. My friend has been trying out various dyeing techniques (which is how I ended up with my version of Alpha Flight's Sasquatch) but he finally found one that seems to work OK on hair. It isn't super-robust - it wouldn't stand up to play - but it's fine for taking some pictures of. All the below are characters I created previously, but that look better with a custom hair piece. If anyone else has made any custom hair pieces, please feel free to add to the thread - not limited to superheroes either - that's just my obsession! Also, if anyone can think of any others I could try out, please suggest! Also, all design credits are on the Flickr photos themselves. She-Hulk: Psylocke: Black Widow: Polaris: Wolfsbane: Black Queen: Trevor Fitzroy and Bantam:
18. As with my last few Super Hero polls, what do you think are the best and worst Super Heroes figures? As for my opinion, I think I'd say the new Green Goblin for least favourite-the head is decent (and you gotta love the olive green) but the outfit just looks like a 1920's bathing suit with silver plating on top in my opinion. And I don't really like the upcoming Wolverine or Magneto, as the colour scheme on Wolverine looks a bit weird in my opinion, however the overall amount of detail is good, and I appreciate that. Not sure which one my favourite is... Oh wait... HULK!!! -Lady Godtshep.
19. Autobots vs Decepticons! Obama declares war on Clone Brands! George Clooney head explodes! Bane breaks Batmans back. Aquaman tackles a shark. All of this is just.. Awesome! A LEGO music video of the Everything is Awesome song from The LEGO Movie. Just a quick little test on some new features in preparation of the next Justice League movie.
20. All items removed due to lack of interest. If you saw any items you were interested in visit my store (Go-Pokes) on BrickLink.com. Thanks!
21. Personally, I feel they could do better. It seems they are only occasionally throwing comic fans a bone in the non movie years. Where are the Giant Size X-Men? The Morrison Justice League? The Doom Patrol? Heck, even the Teen Titans? And when they DO a great figure like Captain Marvel, or even Green Lantern, it's an impossible to get con or store exclusive (I'm looking at you, Martian Manhunter). But on the other hand, we do get some pretty sweet figures like Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Magneto, MODOK, Taskmaster, Nova, etc. The Hero sets are all about the characters. I think the more, the better. Gimme a full New Teen Titans lineup (crossover appeal with fans of the toon!) with The tower, and Deathstroke. Gimme the Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, as many Lanterns of many colors as you can! The Great Lakes Avengers, Alpha Flight, Power Pack, and WHY don't we have any Fantastic Four sets yet? (I'd buy the flying bathtub in a New York minute! Toss in HERBIE and Franklin for good measure!) Do what must be done to be able to do Minifigure series. It'd fly off the shelves! Overall, they are doing good, but really should step things up a bit for comic fans. At least they seem to be in it long term, so good things may come if we are patient.
22. This may be already posted here (it links to a blog post from 2010) but I couldn't find it. Sent to me by a friend, so I'm sharing it here. From a blog examining the use of source code in movies. Neat easter-egg in the movie, if true. http://deeperdesign....n-made-of-lego/ Is Iron Man Made of Lego quick quote: The sequence in the film in which this code appears suggests that the code is either being downloaded as firmware to the Iron Man suit or being used to upload firmware to an RCX Lego brick that is somehow involved in the operation of Iron Man.
23. Here is a preview of My latest bit of absurdity. The fictional address 177a Bleecker St. Greenwich Villiage, NYC. Home of this wolds Sorcerer Supreme The Sanctum Sanctorum of Dr Strange. It's still very preliminary. I've barely started on the inside. And am still working on the third floor roof. I'm trying to keep it a little bare and cartoon y to match the comics art that I am sort of working off. The roof is giving me fits.
24. Hi guys, I thought the Starlet (Marilyn Monroe) hair fit Black Widow in her appearance in the Avengers, so I painted it. Below is the finished product. Any comments or criticisms are welcome.
25. With TLG experimenting licenses with Collectable Minifgures with the Simpsons, using creating more special series like the Olympics and LEGO Movie, and the rumour of a Marvel Collectable Minifigure series months ago, what characters do you think would fit into a Marvel or DC CMF series? To me, they would have to be appealing but limited in terms of use or restricted to a certain scene of a film or setting, so that more mainstream characters can be saved for the larger sets. Here are some I've come up with: Marvel Tony Stark The Mechanic (Iron Man 3) Extremis Ellen Brandt (Iron Man 3) Bucky (Classic or The First Avenger) Dr Erik Selvig (TDW) Extremis Pepper Potts (Iron Man 3) Nova Corps Officer Hydra Elite DC Bruce Wayne (Maybe a training variant?) Selina Kyle Great White Shark The Ratcatcher Amazonian Atlantean Kryptonian (Man of Steel?) Joker Elite Bird (Arkham Origins) Please give some more suggestions, I would really want a Superheroes series! Thanks. (If this topic isn't needed/allowed, please let me know, I'm fairly new to EB and this is my first topic)
