Hey everyone, I just made this new MOC and I'd like to hear your thoughts on the model. It's a 42126 alternate build so it uses only the parts from the Ford F-150 Raptor. -
[MOC] Lola Aston Martin B09/60 LMP1

Hi everyone ! Today I'm glad to present my latest creation : a replica of a Le Mans Prototype, the Lola Aston Martin ! See below the result, I worked on this creation during 1,5 month : SPECIFICATIONS : - Fake V12 engine - Independent pushrod type suspensions - Steering by HOG + Working steering wheel - 4 speeds sequential transmission + paddle shifting - Rear cover articulated - Elytre openable doors DESIGN : I used this part https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=24118#T=C from 42056 Porsche to create the cockpit front curved shape. Into the cockpit you can find some details sport wheel and seat. The dashboard include speed indicator serigraphed tile but also green/red indicators to speeds shifting. Paddle shifting is created by 2 short yellow liftarms. You can notice presence of a red extinguisher ! Red and white pins indicate two sides of the paddle shifting ! FEATURES : To create the HOG, I used one couple of knobs and one couple of 16t. A friction axle avoid steering free wheeling. In other hand, doors are openable. For the rear cover, I used Nathanaël Kuipers tips to keep it open with friction like NK03 (https://www.nkubate.com/predator-supercar/) The fake V12 engine is a Crowkillers design : https://bricksafe.com/pages/Crowkillers/mini-v12 The sound it makes in functions of speeds is awesome ! Supensions pushrod system is a copy slightly modified of 8674 set. For the front pushrod I re-used Nico71 design like on his own LMP1 : https://www.nico71.fr/lmp1-racecar/ I created my own 4 speeds gearbox for this model. It's a flat design like 42056 Porsche one but there are less gears so less friction. I use blue rubber for the 90° indexor. See how its works in the video bellow. Ratios (without diff) : 1 : 1:1 2 : 1:1,667 3 : 1:3 4 : 1:5 I put a paddle shifting in the back of the car to up and down gearbox speeds. I re-designed 42083 shifter to make it smaller. MODULARITY : Main assembly is easily operate by a modular design. There are 6 modules and 2 structural elements. Cockpit itself is a part of main structure. I choose this kind of design in order to make instructions in the future. Watching the 24 Hours of Le Mans race last weekend motivated me to upgrade my 2016 model to this year's design and livery. The 6-wide design fits a minifigure comfortably, and features a detailed engine as well as a modular design allowing easy removal of the nose section, cockpit, engine cover, rear wing, and rear section. 2017 Model: 2016 Model: Instructions available at www.bm-mocs.com (click link in signature).

Here is a Ferrari LMP1 Car I recently completed, built in the Model Team/Creator Expert style. It is based on this fictional Ferrari LMP1 Concept design by Oriol Folch Garcia. The model contains just over 1,000 parts and features many detachable sections and lots of internal detail. The front section is removable and reveals (non-functional) steering and suspension detailing, and an electric motor on the front axle. The cockpit cover detaches to reveal a racing seat, pedals, adjustable steering column, fire extinguisher, and a water bottle. The engine cover also detaches, revealing a removable V6 hybrid engine within a detailed engine bay. The model was fully designed in LDraw. Instructions available at www.bm-mocs.com. [MOC] Pull-back Toyota TS050 LMP1 car, my first real moc

So after a year of on and off MODing, i figured i should MOC something, and with le-mans again upon us, i felt inspired to build a le-mans car. For those not in the know, Toyota lost the race in the last five minutes, up to that point their #5 TS050 was leading the race, with a comfortable gap to the following Porsche. Then the engine went... So i've equiped mine with a pull-back motor instead, simple, sure to work, and it dictates a relatively small scale to keep my MOC clean and simple. -

As the title suggests, I am making an LMP1 car, my second during this month. As a fellow EuroBricks member has pointed out, April seems to be the month of LM cars. It is not based on any real car and it completely HOG. It has a working model inline 4 engine with rear wheel drive and full independent suspension. It has spring loaded Gull-wing doors. Here is a close up of the mechanism. Model engine. Working steering wheel, and progressive shift lights. For wheels, it uses two 62.4 x 20 s wheels joined together to form a wide tire. IT IS NOT YET COMPLETED! what do you guys think of it? -

The 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours came and Audi Sport-Team Joest was still the team to beat in Circuit de la Sarthe. They've only been defeated twice, and one of those defeats came from a car that used to power an R8C, and after Peugeot got one off Audi's streak in 2009, the four-ringed brand and their R15 TDI went at it again, and even a big rules change in 2011 did not stop Audi-Joest from taking wins left and right when they made the R18. Naturally, the opponents had to match the clout of Ingolstadt. Peugeot's 908 and Toyota's TS030 Hybrid (along with a Swiss team, Rebellion Racing, which was the lone non-KERS coal burner in the LMP1 world for this decade), stalked Audi from the back, occasionally leading and very much giving Audi a fight. The 908 had a far better chance of taking 2011's spoils from the R18 ultra, while Toyota boxed well with Audi when the Pugs left from 2013 onwards. All the while Porsche said they wanted to join the party her sister was holding at la Sarthe, and when the 919 Hybrid came, Porsche fans rejoiced in the return of the original king of Le Mans. 2014 was a blockbuster hit, but Audi still won. Alright, so there's the backstory behind my builds, which are Tiny-Turbo-scale models of the LMP1's that competed from 2011-2014. I built these cars in the style I saw from //prototyp, using LEGO Digital Designer, and rendered thanks to Tom.Netherton. Here they are together: (Top line, L-R: Toyota TS030 Hybrid and Porsche 919 Hybrid. Bottom line, L-R: Audi R18 e-tron quattro (2014-spec), Rebellion-Oreca R-One, and Peugeot 908 Hybrid4 in 2011-spec 908 livery) Sorry, but singles pictures will come tomorrow morning. I have to sleep.
