  7. Hello fellow maties! Today, I'd like to show you one of my newest creations; A Green Screen Test. This test is just a test of course. What I'm going to do is to recreate a scene from Master And Commander, the Far Side of the World. Ships I already got, using a custom built french brig and the Imperial Flagship 6271 (From 1992). Now it's only the editing! A good friend of mine learned me how to green screen with Final Cut Pro. So here is the little test, hope you enjoy and stay tuned for updates! Tell me what you think! Regards, Captain Edward
  8. So, this is a little more simplified version of my LEGO theory posted here in response to another post that explains my theory on how most of the original LEGO themes exists in the same universe. The Dinosaur Era: Where dinosaurs existed. (Roughly 180 million years). The Castle/Vikings/Ninja Era: The era in which the LEGO realistic Castle, Vikings, and Ninja themes existed (all starting roughly about 1500 years before the LEGO Town era, and ending about 200 years before LEGO Town). LEGO Pirates Era: (Starting roughly about 200 years before LEGO Town). The era in which Pirates existed. In the last 50 years of pirates, the buildings are transferring into buildings that resemble Town slightly. Villages start to colonize more and expand. Town/Island Era: After the era of Pirates, the LEGO Town era begins, with technology really just beginning to develop, with steam trains still being active and even a few diesel trains. They also start using gasoline-powered vehicles , including airplanes to get around between various towns and villages. The main LEGO town is called LEGO Town. There are several LEGO islands, including the one we see in the LEGO Island games called LEGO Island. This lasts for about 5 years. Space Era: After about 5 years, spaceflight is discovered, and all of the towns and villages gather together to create the LEGO Exploration Force, launching the LEGO Exploration Space Division which will go into space, and the LEGO Exploration Earth Division, which is when Rock Raiders starts. Hearing about the LEGO Space Exploration Space Division, one of the islands called "Blacktron" starts their own space division called the Blacktron Space Division. After meeting in space, the LEGO Exploration Space Division and the Blacktron Space Division are at war, and that causes the creation of the LEGO Defense Force, creating Space Police, and the Space Police are launched into space to stop the fighting. During their mission to stop the fighting, they meet some aliens, which, after a misunderstanding, causes the aliens to be at war with the humans, which makes all of the human space divisions to come together to defeat the aliens. The war causes them to go into deep space, and when they get there they make peace and most of the humans go back to Earth, with a small selection of the Space Police stay to keep everything peaceful. When they return home, the Space Division and Space Police have movies about them, as well as movies based on the adventures of Johnny Thunder and movies based on the Rock Raiders, which is where the LEGO Studios theme comes in. Using the technology they got from space, technology starts to fill the various towns in the LEGO continents and that helps expansion and monorails are introduced as well as some electric trains. Sports will also be expanding into Soccer, Snowboarding, Basketball, Racing, and Ice Hockey. LEGO Town also creates the LEGO Arctic Exploration Force to explore the arctic. World City Era: Lasting 2 years, things are peaceful for the most part, but in a city called "Agentopolis", the LEGO Agents are created when a bunch of supervillians escape, and LEGO Alpha Team is created. LEGO City Era: In 2005, LEGO World City becomes LEGO City. In another city, a bunch of science experiments using dinosaur DNA escape and that makes the city create the Anti-Mutant Defense Force to defeat the lizards. In 2008, Mars Mission is launched, where they discover more aliens that are more peaceful and the Space Police don't need to step in for the aliens and humans to make peace. Things are peaceful for a while until an old space police transmitter sends a signal to Earth using an old code saying that there are two different groups of hostile aliens headed to Earth. As a result, two different defense forces are created: Galaxy Squad and the Alien Defense Unit. The Alien Defense Unit protects Earth while Galaxy Squad goes into space to protect Earth. After a short time, the aliens are defeated. After that, a brand new Space Police force is introduced to go into different galaxies to keep everything safe. After a few years, Solomon Blaze, former Galaxy Squad member, gets a call from his uncle, former Agent Chase of the LEGO Agents who is now in charge of the LEGO Defense Force says he wants him to lead a new team of agents called "Ultra Agents" after a bunch of supervillians escape and after a year, the villains are defeated. There is peace after that. (In 2013, Rex Fury breaks free but is captured after about a week).

    Metalbeard MOC

Oi, I've been busy. STILL working on updating my YOUTUBE Channel since.... May this year? Sitting on a litteral HOARD of lego Sets from the last two to five years I want to pull apart and review, and I've got Mocs out the Yin-Yang. This is a recent one I made with the Systar System Party Crew set as a base (Music-Beard/Party-Time Metal Beard) I took the base model for Metalbeard, and pallette-swapped a lot of pieces until the good Captain was in his classic colors again. I took several creative liberties in his design, however I feel that i've hit a happy middle ground between making this an original creation I'm content with, as well as something that can be recognized as, "Oh hey, it's the Robot-Pirate from the LEGO Movie!" A feature I'm proud of including in this MOC is the right leg (The good one) having a functional joint in the knee. well, with the way the parts fit together, I'm pretty happy about that leg. Left leg/peg-leg has a special pin element on the side of it, that the new Grapple/Anchor piece, found in the latest Batman set (Batcycle Vs. Mr.Freeze) can easily attach to, to keep it out of the way when he's gallivanting about. The back of the model. I took the most liberties here, building up the engine on the back. Since his last stint, Metalbeard has overhauled and upgraded his onboard engine. Four cylinders, five exhaust ports, lots of output! Metalbeard with Accessories. Sword clips into his good hand, and he cradles his cannon under his Hook-arm. Against his better judgement, he has a single black cylinder shot for the cannon rattling around loose in his chest O' Innards! The Captain, in all his glory!

    Ship "Admiral's Eagle"

Hello mates! I am fan of Lego Pirates for a long time, but I've decided recently to register here, because I've created MOC which I would like to share with you. It's a bluecoat soldiers' ship, I called it "Admiral's Eagle". I hope you like it, I have also published project on Lego Ideas (https://ideas.lego.com/projects/106525) and so far it is going well. From the most important thing, ship contains 877 parts (without 5 minifigures and their weapons), captain's cabin accessible from the side walls and from the top, prison cell with small entrance (also accessible from the top), 2 shooting cannons and 3 mini shooting guns, winch with anchor. Bilge Punk Pirate Mech

Something I created last night in the studio. Honestly, I wanted to make a gritty, steam-punk inspired airship, mixing pieces parts from the Ninjago: Skybound 70603 Raid Zeppelin, 70601 Sky Shark, and Day of the departed 70592 Salvage M.E.C. All that I got from that was another pile of bricks. Also, a pilotable mech suit for Pirates. My inspiration was the Skeleton Mech that came with Ronin's Salvage M.E.C. Honestly, I wanted to make a diving suit for my LEGO CMF Series 8 Diver. After putting it together and taking it apart and rearranging the pieces so many times, I ultimately converted the Diving suit into a fully weaponized battle suit for the Brickbeard Pirates. Looking at the build, it looks like an extremely scaled down version of Kai's 70721 Fire Mech. Another source of inspiration, is Captain Metalbeard from the LEGO Movie. By far my favorite character, and set, from the entire thing. (I have made heavy modifications to stock Metalbeard from 70807 Metalbeard's Duel, as well as build from scratch with instructions, An Evil Robot variation of Metalbeard I've come to call Steelbeard. The foot on the left leg is the only thing I dislike about the entire build. It seems flimsy as it is supporting the entire thing, and consists of two bricks. I do like the grating on the angle piece, to make it look like a boot tread though. The major difference between this Moc, and traditional Steam Punk, is that this is more in line with the golden age of Piracy. Ergo, in lieu of a Steam Boiler, this battlesuit is fueled by Rum, grog, or anything else foul smelling that can burn in a boiler. Bilge Punk, if you would prefer to call it anything.

  17. Hello, I introduce myself my name is Emanuele.I am 29 years old, I stopped playing with LEGO in 1996, when in June 2014 an exhibition of the city I saw guys adults exposing their LEGO, even basic set, In me it is on the bulb, is I back the urge.In the basement of my house I found my baby set time, properly preserved by my parents.I reassembled everything and I had the opportunity to exhibit at a trade show in Italy in Turin, the exhibition center "Lingotto".I'm not a great expert on MOC, but I'm a big fan set Pirates and Castle 90 years.Looking on google I found this beautiful community, the real experts. I feel small in comparison to your ability, I'm almost afraid to ask and post.A friend of mine has done photo shoots in my first presence at the fair in September 2014.I could not bring to the show my entire collection, in a classic car I had no place. In the next year I organize myself better and I will take all the sailing ships created by LEGO.I hope to do something pleasing to show my photographs, maybe someone of you has already seen on my new facebook page dedicated to this magnificent world of the Pirates.Good Vision, any advice, suggestion, criticism is accepted. Will be gold for me as your great experience First Person Continue...

  24. Encountered this on my regular Science website io9: A Lego Pirate Is Sacrificed To A Colossal Wave In The Name of Science The fact that they chose a Lego Pirate for this experiment is rather endearing. They could have chosen anything, like a paper plate or any other basic toy boat, but obviously some AFOL decided to make good use of their old Lego parts. The video itself is rather disappointing, unfortunately... 'sacrificed to a colossal wave' is a good example of journalistic exaggeration.
