  1. This deer is my second alternative model built out of set 70827 (Ultrakatty & Warrior Lucy!). It features big antlers and moving legs, neck and head. My goal with this model was to find some purpose for different thorns included in big amounts in set 70827. This model is my fourth entry to TLCB Lock-Down Competition. When I was done with deer I built simple turtle from leftover parts to give Emmet something for riding too. You also might remember my first alternative model from this set - Alien queen. Building instructions for both models are available at buildinst.cz Any comments are welcomed.
  2. Lord Business is clearly Finn's father, I've been thinking "gee, which character fits Finn" which for a long time I've thought it as either Emmett, or Vitruvius, which after watching the Lego Movie 2, I've felt it more to be Emmett as a better fit because he was the one Finn was playing with, and it was Emmett to break the cake, something Finn did, also it was Emmett who said what Phil said to Business, so if Emmett is Finn and Lord Business is (Finn's) father than it makes sense for Lord Business to be Emmett which (if General Sweet Mayhem is Bianca) would explain why he didn't want to be involved with the duplo Aliens, because he knows his wife lives in the same star system and doesn't want to fight with her

    [MOC/MOD] Robo swat AT-ST

Hello, This is my latest moc, a lego movie robo swat at-st! i wasnt quite sure where to put this topic as it's a bit of a mish mash of themes, but here it is. i wanted to make an at-st as i dont own any, but then thought about making it in space police 1 colours. but as i don't have any sp1 parts or figures i quickly decided on robo swat as i love their design and dropship so much. i started by following the instructions for the endor base version of the model, but heavily modified it, with the most noticable change being using ball joints instead of the silly/unstable gear system for the movable legs. i also significantly upped the armour plating and added more detail. this moc stands up, and is relativly stable for what is essentially a heavy box on skinny legs :). i hope you enjoy. i'm seriously starting to think that an AT-AT would look pretty slick in this colour scheme :) maybe one for the future. 17. I’ve bought The LEGO Movie video game on the Wii U maybe a 6 months ago for cheap with the plan of playing it when I get some time. Now that I did, I wish that I discover it before. I’ve just finish but all the main missions, I’m not even near 100% yet, but I will try too. I must say as a huge fan of the movie, I really think this game add lots to the story of the movie. The game has lots of cinematic from the movie, but the mission we play is basically everything between every scene of the movie. It’s like adding twice content & story to the movie. I’m not a huge gamer, I consider myself a casual gamer, but I really got into this game. The other previous LEGO Game I’ve played is LEGO City Undercover (I’m about at 70% of the main mission, I should really finish it. Really like the open world). Other then that I’ve recently got into LEGO Dimensions, which is also neat, but I’m not far in the game yet. I’m curious of what other think of that game, not only by itself, but in addition to the movie.
  18. Johnny Thunder was first released in 1998. He was the star of four Adventurers themes from 1998-2003. He also appeared in LEGO Studios and Jurassic Park lll sets as well as several video games during this period. That was the last we heard of him until a brief appearance in 2010's LEGO Universe video game. Then, in 2014, Johnny made a dramatic cameo appearance in The LEGO Movie. This appearance led to the inclusion of a Johnny Thunder minifigure in set 70815 Super Secret Police Dropship. This was significant because LEGO created a whole new torso (part #973pb1724c01) and head (part #3626cpa3) for Johnny Thunder As of this posting that is the only set in which these new parts have been. Johnny also appeared in the 2015 Scooby Doo 75900 Mummy Museum Mystery on a sticker. Could this be the beginning of a Johnny Thunder comeback? Would LEGO create a new torso and head for just one set? Your comments are appreciated.

    Assembling Bricksburg

edited to put all final images in the first post... After seeing the LEGO movie, I wanted to re-create buildings from Emmet's neighborhood. While researching, I realized a great deal of what was in the movie was based on previously-existing sets. I thought it would be interesting to do a project that compared the original LEGO sets to the modified movie versions. Knowing how much time, money, and physical space it would take to build these out of real bricks, I decided to try my hand at LEGO Digital Designer (LDD). After having created a couple of the buildings in LDD, I ran across the post for Bluerender and used it to generate photo-real renderings. The Shadow Builder [MOC]

The Shadow Builder Fluff: Unknown to President Business a Super-Secret Project (Project NSOT) successfully created a Robotic Master Builder. The prototype escaped and began building his own stud-less army of drones. The Shadow builder now vies to control the city eliminating stickers and studded creations everywhere. Known Armaments: - Finger Blasters - Eye Seeker Missiles - Atomic Flux Over Load cannons (Hidden Inside Head) The Shadow Builder is inspired by Movie Micro Managers I intended it look like the same technology, but refined with articulate hands, mostly symmetrical details, and nimble legs. He is a perfectionist, so his creations are studless and almost the same (he's a good builder but not too imaginative) He has a second pair hands for battling the resisitance. Okay so the first spread is everything I built regarding The Shadow Builder: Hidden Cannons Rear and a better look at the NSOT here: Eye Missiles firing simulated by transparent pieces: Hands changed out and finger stud launchers firing simulated: LDD Back LDD Cross-section so you can have a look inside: Originally he wasn't going to have arms, but after I created the arms, I knew he had to have legs... and then the tennis shoes came out of nowhere :) Thanks for having a look... I'm kind of a lurker. The LDD file: http://www.brickshel...dow_builder.lxf (IDK if it pulls up until the gallery is public. There is a neat surprise on it though)

  22. Hi guys, So I figured, if anyone would be able to help me, it'd be the fine folks over at the Eurobricks Forums. Basically I am trying my best to recreate this: As seen in the LEGO Movie (though briefly), it is one of the Wild West Citizen's Master Build creation designed to thwart President Business. I am currently attempting to recreate it in LDD, with limited success, (I've done the head, reigns and a bit of the front legs). I have found a few low-res or blurry images online which are not too much additional help unfortunately. However, I do know that a recreation of this horse can be found at The LEGO Movie Experience at Legoland California, which does admittedly differ ever-so-slightly from the onscreen version, but nevertheless will be the closest reference imagery I'll be able to find outside the one above still from the film. Anyway, Has anyone here been to visit The LEGO Movie Experience and has already happened to have taken some nice high-res imagery of this horse..? Or is anyone going soon who would be able to assist me by taking some detailed snaps? Can anyone identify the Minifigure riding on top? Does anyone know the original creator who built it? I know it's a long shot, but any further reference imagery I could get would go a long way to helping me re-create this great build, which I would of course share on completion. Many thanks for your interest and help! - James
  23. This is the love story of Lucy/Wyldstyle and Emmet. Emmet faces much hardship in his pursuit of love (probably because of Batman!) Lucy always looks cool and unresponsive. Though Lucy is always within his reach, Emmet simply cannot get her attention (or she is even beyond his sight). They whirl around one another but their is no contact point of them. They look like two lost souls in a fish bowls. It takes a long time -- from winter to summer -- for Emmet to win her over finally. Here comes a video: Hope you like my creation. Thanks for watchin. ^^
  24. Hello, I wanted to upload my 15+ vehicles from the 1940's to today in a way that was quick and efficient, thus this thread is about getting the pictures out with side notes structured like this: (picture goes here) 19## yellow semi truck Built 20## Inspired by set ####, known as "Insert set name" LDD file: (if available) LDD missing parts / prints You are free to comment, but please note: the remaining 10 or so vehicles are (going to be) in another topic, because they are more Adventurer's / 1920's themed. I would also appreciate a mod indexing these MOCs in their respective topics. Also, please note these were taken by me and a family member with a cellphone camera, so please take that into consideration with the picture quality / cropping. 25. This is the MOC I created for Brickvention 2015, in Melbourne, Australia. I have used forced perspective, with foreground figures in Miniland Scale, and the background in microscale. The biggest challenges for me were working out how to make Vitruvious' cape (until I found an old belville set in my daughters collection) and to make the sun and flower in the background rotate, and swing back and forth. This was my first technic creation since emerged from the Dark Ages. I do not apologise for the amount of color... but it turns out I used at least 8 different shades of blue!
