    Medieval Library

Please support on LEGO Ideas! Hi Eurobricks, I present my newest addition to my Medieval Artisans: the Medieval Library. It is inspired by Romanesque and English Gothic architecture, and is currently up on LEGO Ideas. Please support the project if like it. It is 2700 pieces total, and has a fully detailed interior. As a "thank you" to the forum community here, I'm also posting a picture of an "alternate" version of the same build, that looks more like a medieval church bell tower. I hope you enjoy! 2. So this is my first ever creation in Studio.io only possible due to lockdown and my kids isolating with my parents to let me carry on working leaving me with a lot of evenings free :(. So I put that frustration into something creative and came out with this: https://ideas.lego.com/s/p:6aa026811480406bb23ff3ce22bb9e58?s=m The Inn is frankly enormous consisting of the limit of 3k parts, I started with trying to build a farm house and basically ended up just spiralling down a rabbit hole of ideas until I ended up with this. I'm still working on it here and there, the front and back of the roof ends have changed since it was submitted and I clawed back some parts to put a few more details inside the top floors. I've also been buying parts to build as much as I can of it myself. Anyway I hope you like it, also open to discussions on thoughts for improvements or criticism (though please keep it constructive :)) Tavern image 1 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 11 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 2 by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 9 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 4 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 5 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 7 by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 8 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image-1st floor by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 6 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 10 by maxxev, on Flickr This is where I am so far IRL 20210310_204329 by maxxev, on Flickr

Star Trek - Klingon Bird of Prey

Hello I guess as my first ever post on this forum, not 100% sure this is the right spot for this kind of post, but I should introduce myself, I am a 34 year old from Australia, who has always had a passion for Lego but could never really afford it when I was a kid. But now having a 3 and 4 year old boy of my own who are completely obsessed with Lego, i have recently rediscovered my love of this simple toy. I have gone from building mostly sets, to creating my own designs. My aim is to make every design I do as something that my boys would love to play with so playability to me is everything. Anyway that's enough of that, I am wanting to show off one of my first designs, I really enjoy a challenge and I definitely had one with this project. I am a Sci-fi nerd and love Star Trek, in particular everything Klingon so I was very disappointed that Lego never got the star trek licence. I am currently working on building this Bird of Prey, at this stage I have only made the cockpit and neck, but have the parts for the wing and disruptor ordered. I am really looking forward to seeing how this Stud.io design that I have spent so many hours on turn into a real product. My main concerns for the build is how strong the wing hinge attachment is as there is quite a lot of weight on them. But I will find out in the next week or so when all my parts arrive and I can trial it. Hope you all find it interesting, I believe it turned out pretty good, with a few play features included, such as the dining hall, opening cockpit, adjustable wings and shooting disruptors. Model Details (according to Stud.io) 4335 pieces 74cm wide, 68cm long. 4.3kg I wanted to add more pics but it seems I can only upload 1 due to the size. See if I can work around this. Also if you are interested, I currently have a Lego Ideas set in the support stage. Its a minifigure scale SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket, again showing my love for all things space related. any support will be greatly appreciated. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a60e3c2-c86f-4154-8be3-6fb148943362/statistics I am very interested to hear what you all have to say about my Bird of Prey, any issues you see or possible problems I will have turning this into a real model. Thank you very much for reading this. :) Any ideas on how to post more pictures? I am not that tech savy. Thanks Ok I made a Flickr account to show some of the other photos. I have also ordered custom Klingon minifigures and Batleths to hang in the dining hall. https://www.flickr.com/photos/192336319@N06/

    MOC: The Mata Nui Robot

Hello denizens of Eurobricks! This MOC was started about February 2019 but I got stuck on the head and lost my files, I started again last October and finished it around the last day of the year. I figured although this creation is from the Bionicle universe (well it kind of is the universe) it is a sci-fi creation and a system build so it goes here I'm quite proud of it as it's my first build using Bricklink Studio and I definitely am going to do most of my building (or at least planning and part budgeting) in Studio from now on. Edit: added the scale comparison photo. Here's the link to the ideas page that has views of the other sides: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0c310848-b5eb-4d71-85b6-258bc99b0b73 One area I definitely need to fix is the spine-which has numerous collisions due to how difficult flex hoses are to work with in Studio. After the last update it numbers 1984 parts, happy to hear any advice from those experienced with mechs etc or who have ideas for additions

  7. Please support on LEGO IDEAS: LEGO IDEAS - Medieval Castle: Guarded Grocer The medieval village grows! Welcome to the Guarded Grocer! The Forestmen have returned, hearing Robin's call for help. They've raided the Grocer and taken the Black Falcons by surprise. Robin has been freed from his long captivity (in the tower) and the Forestmen are busy at work to return the turnips, carrots, cherries, pumpkins and lettuce to the people. "These vegetables belong to the people!" -Robin "Huzzah!" -The Forestmen "We'll be back to collect taxes!" -The Black Falcons "Give me a break." -The Grocer This build inspired by the classic castle theme and classic sets like (6067) Guarded Inn and the (10185) Green Grocer. The build contains 2866 parts total. Please leave comments and feedback about what you like and what you'd like to see in future builds. 8. Hey everyone! Welcome to my latest LEGO Ideas project - a kinetic sculpture of an Orrery where the earth goes round the sun and the moon round the earth. Go support it here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/bc099c6a-9cf0-427b-a35e-3aff4599b150 Build This build consists of the Sun, the Earth and the Moon, built on a vintage/antique style base. The Moon revolves around the Earth while the earth revolves around the Sun. The mechanics are hidden nicely inside the base. I have put a lot of effort into making the model as sturdy as I can, and the motion as smooth as possible. The model was built to look as nice as possible, with a detailed, brick-built version of the Earth. Dimensions of the build: 35x18.5x28 (LxBxHcm) Pieces This model has 1200 LEGO Bricks (give or take a few). I built the model digitally to check! Aim My aim with this model was not to make a 100% accurate scientific model of an orrery, but rather to make something that looked great on display, while still being functional. I also wanted to make the design as compact so as to keep it affordable. Another important aspect of this project was the varied build experience - a combination of Technic and System bricks to create an interesting and fun build. This model would also have a very wide appeal - from space and astronomy fans to technic fans, as well as people who like collecting models for display. Hope you like this project! Don't forget to support and share! :D
  9. Here is my other Via Rail train, The Corridor. To see more pictures, please see Via Rail Canada - The Corridor. I'd love to hear any feedback, comments, questions, or criticisms. It's a big set, so let's tackle it one car at a time. :) If you like it, please support on LEGO Ideas if you believe it would make a great official set.

  11. Johnny 5 needs your support to become an OFFICIAL JOHNNY 5 LEGO SET. Click the link below to support and feel free to share. - Link Removed - Who is Johnny 5? Hello, Bozos! Those who don’t know him, Johnny 5, also known as “S-A-I-N-T Prototype Number 5” or Number 5 for short, is a very lively and inquisitive military robot prototype who’s perpetually hungry for more “input”. He is the star of the 1980’s movies Short Circuit and Short Circuit 2 and a TV special called Hot Cars. He became sentient when he was luckily struck by lightning during a combat demonstration. Although he is designed to serve the military as a robot prototype, he has an adorable child-like behaviour and has a great respect for life. He is a peace-loving robot and refuses to use his military capabilities to harm others. Despite being very intelligent and inventive, his naivety and trusting nature has been taken advantaged of on several occasions. Why Make a Johnny 5 Lego Set? In Short Circuit 2, Johnny 5 set up a new business with his old friend Ben Jahrvi that builds and sells toy robots made in Johnny 5's likeness. This little robot never made it into actual production after the film. Johnny 5’s popularity and the unavailability of access to these cute little Johnny 5 robots made people clamour for this toy. To date anyone can google sites for 3D printing Johnny 5 robots and websites dedicated to producing both life-like and miniature Johnny 5’s. Johnny 5 is one of the iconic fictional robots in cinema to date. He’s part of every child who’s lived through the 80’s like me who are now AFOLs and longed for the Johnny 5 toy that never came out. Design This model is fully motorised using Powered Up motors and hub and controlled through a mobile device using the Powered UP App. It uses Technic parts to ensure stability of the structure, and System parts to capture the look and form of Johnny 5. The following are the playable features of the model: Movement – This model can move around on tank tracks and uses skid steer to change directions. Body – Johnny 5’s body can tilt using a Powered Up L motor and controlled using a mobile. Arms – Arms can be raised and lowered individually using the Powered Up App. The fingers can be adjusted manually as well as the elbows. Head – The head can be tilted and turned using the Powered Up App. Eyebrows – Eyebrows can be manually adjusted to suit the desired facial expression. Laser – The laser at the back can be raised and lowered using the Powered Up App. Total Pieces: 2,711 Dimensions: Studs: W 68.4 x L 36.1 x H 73.5 Inch: W 21.5 x L 11.4 x H 23.2 cm: W 54.7 x L 28.9 x H 58.8 Weight: 99.8 ounces or 2.83 kg
  12. It has been almost if not exactly or more than a year since I created the Z-6 challenger. I originally thought I could not improve it any further, but it turns out I was wrong in more ways than one. The model you see before you is a MASSIVE upgrade compared to the one I originally made. It features new trailing truck and tender bogies which have been needed to be worked on for quite some time. Those bogies that were once on the original model were both blocky and incomplete at the same time. The trailing truck is now more gradually sloped and the tender bogies now look like they were off the prototype. I also was able to number AND letter the locomotive where it represents an MTH version of the model (The MTH version of the locomotive was the source of my inspiration to constructing this behemoth and how I became a fan of this design). If you have noticed the display track the locomotive sits on, I bet you can guess what is going to become of it. But to leave no one on a cliffhanger, I will say that it will be going to the Lego Ideas website to become an actual product. If you wish to have this model on YOUR Lego train layout, be sure to support it. I will let you all know when it appears on the Lego Ideas website when I update this topic.

    [LEGO IDEAS] The Royal Flagship

Ahoy, mateys! I'd like to present to you a Lego Ideas project - The Royal Flagship - a classic style, modular, set-like looking ship-of-the-line with lots of play features. SUPPORT NOW Stats and overview: Features: ---------- About: I started this project with a specific intention - to design a multi deck vessel that can be both - a Lego set-like looking ship that's fun to play with, and a decently realistic shelf model of a true ship-of-the-line. And all of this had to fit in the Lego Ideas framework, specifically it had to contain 3000 parts or less. No easy undertaking, and I've failed to come up with something that I liked a couple of times over the past years. This design now, however, I think it quite does it. Sure, it might not be playful enough to some, and not realistic enough looking to others, and then there's the fact there are only stud-shooters instead of ye olde Lego cannons... () But I hope the compromise I found is appealing to at least some of you; and that it proves that ships-of-the-line can be done as sets by Lego. Some decisions I took along the way: Use stud shooters instead of spring powered cannons (*boo-ing noises in the background* ) But hear me out - let's face it, no single set will ever contain that many classic cannons. So the Royal Flagship features easy to remove stud shooter based custom cannons that can be fired from outside the ship, but that can also as easily be replaced by your good old spring powered cannons - if you got enough of them, the space is there! Almost no interior, except for the captain's cabin. This decision was simply based on Lego Ideas' 3000 parts maximum. Feel free to fill the decks with whatever you would like to see though - there's enough headroom for minifigs to be placed on all decks! Relatively simple hull shape, little tumble home, no string rigging. Due to the modular approach, I just couldn't come up with anything more ornate/fancy/complicated - if you have some suggestions, however, feel free to elaborate! The Royal Flagship was very well received during last year's Bricks @nd Friends exhibition in Cologne; kids especially seemed to like the firing mechanism pretty well - we literally had a blast Let's see if I can take the ship to a few more exhibitions this year - if Corona permits. ---------- If you have questions, please ask! And if you got ideas for improvements, I'm all ears! If I convinced you - please support on Lego Ideas! And feel free to share with friends and other pirates enthusiasts - every vote counts! Thank you for watching SUPPORT NOW

  16. Ahoy, seamates! I have started my LEGO-Ideas Project 2-3 months ago and now I want to present it to the specific lego pirates community! Would be nice to get your suppport but even more I am looking for some advice what I can improve on it. SUPPORT NOW Please take a look on the ideas website or at my flickr https://flic.kr/s/aHsmMnLn6a for more fotos! Here is the text from ideas: Welcome on board of The Rolling Dutchman! Since I have been a child I always wanted to control my LEGO Red Beard Runner without pushing it around and now my dream has come true. I have build a motorized Version of the famous Flying Dutchman which is my favorite pirate ship, too. I have seen the original swedish Vasa which has given the idea for the Dutchman with its marvelous bow and stern. So I managed to combine them with my own creative ideas into this "rolling" Dutchman! Please have a look at the features in the video and the pictures! Video: Update 2: Thanks for your 1k supports so far! I have worked on the main picture a bit and now added a picture of the crew and one showing the functions as well. Update 1: New rotten Sails! (Picture 7+8+Video still with the first sails) Motorized Features: Rolling movement caused by waves (1. M-Motor) Two motorized triple-barrelled chasers in the bow (1. M-Motor) Motorized steering with simoultaneously rotating ship´s wheel, rudder and steering mechanism (S-Motor) Motorized movement for- and backward (L-Motor) Motorized sail trim with turning capstan and changing sail position of all square sails (M-Motor) All features can be controlled by rc-control via 4 channels and two receivers All features use the Power-Function System but could easily be adapted to the new Control+ System which can lead to advanced handling of the functions The battery box can slide out easily to switch on/off and change batteries General Features: Minifigures: Davy Jones, Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth, Bill Turner, Barbossa and more. (I am not familiar with the movies in english so I would like to ask you to tell me the names in the comments section!) Two decks with cannons (one side the lower deck is closed to store the motors) The two tripple-barreld chasers can manually slide backwards and then the gun ports can be closed Removable deck at the stern to take out the steering wheel Removable lower balcony´s on both sides Handmade sails Two functional anchors Upper cabin minifigure size with Jack stealing the heart (illuminated) Lower cabin with Davy Jones organ (illuminated) Two torches at the stern (illuminated) The capstan can be removed The ship is based on the sturdy hull parts, the complete 2 lower rows of bricks can be removed with the steering and driving wheels to use it as "normal" push forward ship or display model The main mast and the mizzen are both slightly tilted backwards Correct rigging and sails due to the movies The ropes between the masts can be removed easily to take them apart for transport It would be an honor to receive your support. Aye! I have to thank my friend J-H to help me with some motorization problems and a special thanks to my girlfriend for not freaking out! Thanks, yours Störtebricker from Hamburg, Germany SUPPORT NOW

  19. Ok guys. I know I left eurobricks. But sometimes it's more mature to admit you miss something than to keep your point. Now, to the good part. I've had time, being afar from fights over silly stuff, to build and me and a friend did this. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/f37ee26a-8944-44e1-a29c-573f51bfcbbb/ Took us a lot of time, effort and love as you can see. Please. We really, really need your help to make our little dream come true. Bring us to the 10k club. You have this power, I have not. I was able to gather 722 votes in 3 days, so I'm really starting to believe this can be real. But it can't work without your love and help. You can support, you can leave a comment and you can also share this to increase our chances. I want to believe. Do believe with me, will you guys?

    [MOC] SEASIDE MEMORIES

Hi everyone I wanted to share my latest creation called "Seaside Memories". It's a little beach scene inspired by my childhood holidays at the British Seaside. The model contains less than 250 bricks and is built on a 16 x 16 plate. I've included 2 traditional beach huts and striped deck chairs, sandcastles, a picnic on the sand and much more. Everything you need for a fun day out at the beach. The beach huts both feature simple interiors details. I entered this model in to a recent LEGO IDEAS contest to design a seaside themed set. I'm really pleased to say that today it has been chosen as one of the 15 finalists in the contest. It's now down to a public vote to decide the winner and if this model wins it will be made in to a future gift with purchase LEGO set. If you like the look of the model then I'd be hugely grateful if you could give it your vote on LEGO IDEAS. Voting is open until 25th May. https://bit.ly/Legoseaside Anyway thanks for checking out my latest MOC and feel free to let me know what you think.

    Problem with Lego Ideas

Hi everyone I have been working on a design recently which I want to add as my first entry as a Lego Ideas project. I am having problems setting up my account though. I logged in to Lego Ideas using my standard Lego ID which I set up years ago and doesn't have the same user name that I use on here or Flickr. I want them to match though so that people can easily find my project once I've added it to Ideas. Under account preferences on Lego Ideas there is an option to change the username but when I try to do this it just throws up an error message and wont let me do it. Has anyone else had problems with this and if so how did you solve it? I've emailed the Lego Ideas customer service but they haven't got back to me and I received an auto generated message basically saying that they are a small team and it might take them a long time to reply to emails. So I'm not holding my breath that I'll ever hear back from them.

  23. Hi guys BrickHammer here, as a part of my ongoing journey to build all the things I would have loved to build as a child, I have just created a Forestmen MOC on LEGO Ideas. I tried to capture all the classic elements of the old Forestmen sets while giving the whole thing a brand new look! I hope you like it! I would really appreciate your feedback (and your support)! 24. Hi, I've recently built a telescope : It measures 18 x 29 x 34cm, but the tube can be separated from the tripod and the legs can be folded to store the model more easily : And the best thing about it is that it works ! Well of course it "works" just like the Grand Piano 21323 is a "playable" piano. You can look in the eyepiece and see celestial bodies, but it's not what's actually in the sky. It works thanks to a light brick, that's activated by pressing the lens : Then the light goes through a decorated glass (sets like 75810, 10273 or 70917 have features that work in a similar way), two magnifying glasses, and bounces on a mirror : And here's what you see when you look into the eyepiece : Well at least that's the principle, I will have to finetune it if I want it to work in real life. Right now it's just a digital model, that you can see in 3D on Mecabricks : https://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/oK2w7Rk029k There are also more pictures in my Flickr gallery : https://www.flickr.com/photos/leewanlego/albums/72157718522288468 And, finally, if you like the idea and would like to see it become an official set in the near future, you can support it on LEGO IDEAS : https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2d338638-5679-42b6-b8d7-7c0166bab999
  25. Hi, in the last weeks, I started to build a Classic Space layout. The first parts of the creation are ready, and it now in the voting stage on LEGO Ideas. Classic Space Rescue Mission: a LEGO Ideas project -> https://ideas.lego.com/projects/20a6b1ce-834d-4597-bc66-61846ebbb561 It is a Classic Space rover, a rock with alien vegetation and a mysterious golden monolith embedded in an other rock. The new minifigures and the neo-classic appearance are binding to the real classic era with a story. Originally, I wanted to have a Classic Space minifigure in a very special colour, but there was a lack of them in my collection. But it is definately not a dead Benny! :) Please, if you like this idea, hit support button and tell your thoughts here or in a comment on LEGO Ideas project page. Thank you! I really appreciate it.
